< Hosea 5 >

1 “Ẹ gbọ́ èyí, ẹ̀yìn àlùfáà! Ẹ fetísílẹ̀ ẹ̀yin ọmọ Israẹli! Ẹ gbọ́, ẹ̀yìn ilé ọba! Ìdájọ́ yìí kàn yín. Ẹ ti jẹ́ ẹ̀bìtì ní Mispa àwọ̀n ti a nà sílẹ̀ lórí Tabori.
“Listen to this, you priests! Listen, house of Israel, and give ear, house of the king! For the judgement is against you; for you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.
2 Àwọn ọlọ̀tẹ̀ ti gbilẹ̀ nínú ìpànìyàn gbogbo wọn ni èmi ó bá wí,
The rebels are deep in slaughter, but I discipline all of them.
3 mo mọ ohun gbogbo nípa Efraimu Israẹli kò sì pamọ́ fún mi Efraimu, ní báyìí ó ti ṣe àgbèrè Israẹli sì ti díbàjẹ́.
I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; for now, Ephraim, you have played the prostitute. Israel is defiled.
4 “Ìṣe wọn kò gbà wọ́n láààyè láti padà sí ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run wọn. Ẹ̀mí àgbèrè wà ni ọkàn wọn, wọn kò sì mọ Olúwa.
Their deeds won’t allow them to turn to their God, for the spirit of prostitution is within them, and they don’t know the LORD.
5 Ìgbéraga Israẹli ń jẹ́rìí lé wọn; àwọn ọmọ Israẹli, àti Efraimu pàápàá kọsẹ̀ nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn. Juda náà sì kọsẹ̀ pẹ̀lú wọn.
The pride of Israel testifies to his face. Therefore Israel and Ephraim will stumble in their iniquity. Judah also will stumble with them.
6 Nígbà tí wọ́n bá lọ pẹ̀lú agbo ẹran àti ọ̀wọ́ ẹran wọn láti wá Olúwa, wọn kò ní rí i, ó ti yọ ara rẹ̀ kúrò láàrín wọn.
They will go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD, but they won’t find him. He has withdrawn himself from them.
7 Wọ́n jẹ́ aláìṣòótọ́ sí Olúwa wọ́n sì bí àwọn àjèjì ọmọ. Nísinsin yìí, ọdún oṣù tuntun wọn, ni yóò pa wọn run pẹ̀lú ìpín wọn.
They are unfaithful to the LORD; for they have borne illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them with their fields.
8 “Fọn fèrè ní Gibeah, kí ẹ sì fun ìpè ní Rama. Ẹ pariwo ogun ní Beti-Afeni; máa wárìrì, ìwọ Benjamini.
“Blow the cornet in Gibeah, and the shofar in Ramah! Sound a battle cry at Beth Aven, behind you, Benjamin!
9 Efraimu yóò di ahoro ní ọjọ́ ìbáwí láàrín àwọn ẹ̀yà Israẹli, Mo sọ ohun tí ó dájú.
Ephraim will become a desolation in the day of rebuke. Amongst the tribes of Israel, I have made known that which will surely be.
10 Àwọn olórí Juda dàbí àwọn tí í máa yí òkúta ààlà kúrò. Èmi ó tú ìbínú gbígbóná mi lé wọn lórí bí ìkún omi.
The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark. I will pour out my wrath on them like water.
11 A ni Efraimu lára, a sì tẹ̀ ẹ́ mọ́lẹ̀ ní ìdájọ́, nítorí pé, ó pinnu láti tẹ̀lé òrìṣà.
Ephraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgement, because he is intent in his pursuit of idols.
12 Mo dàbí kòkòrò aṣọ sí Efraimu, Mo sì dàbí ìdin ara Juda.
Therefore I am to Ephraim like a moth, and to the house of Judah like rottenness.
13 “Nígbà ti Efraimu ri àìsàn rẹ̀, tí Juda sì rí ojú egbò rẹ̀ ni Efraimu bá tọ ará Asiria lọ, ó sì ránṣẹ́ sí ọba ńlá náà fún ìrànlọ́wọ́. Ṣùgbọ́n kò le è wò ó sàn bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò le wo ojú egbò rẹ̀ jinná.
“When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to King Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.
14 Nítorí pé, èmi ó dàbí kìnnìún sí Efraimu, bí i kìnnìún ńlá sí ilé Juda. Èmi ó fà wọ́n ya pẹ́rẹpẹ̀rẹ èmi ó sì lọ; Èmi ó gbé wọn lọ, láìsí ẹni tí yóò gbà wọ́n sílẹ̀.
For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I myself will tear in pieces and go away. I will carry off, and there will be no one to deliver.
15 Nígbà náà ni èmi ó padà lọ sí ààyè mi títí di ìgbà tí wọn ó fi gbà pé àwọn jẹ̀bi wọn yóò sì wá ojú mi nínú ìpọ́njú wọn, wọn ó fi ìtara wá mi.”
I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.”
