< Genesis 40 >

1 Kò pẹ́ lẹ́yìn èyí, ni agbọ́tí ọba àti alásè rẹ̀ ṣẹ̀ ọba Ejibiti, olúwa wọn.
And it was after the things these they sinned [the] cup bearer of [the] king of Egypt and the baker to master their to [the] king of Egypt.
2 Farao sì bínú sí méjì nínú àwọn ìjòyè rẹ̀, olórí agbọ́tí àti olórí alásè,
And he was angry Pharaoh towards two of officials his towards [the] chief of the cup bearers and towards [the] chief of the bakers.
3 Ó sì fi wọ́n sí ìhámọ́ ní ilé olórí ẹ̀ṣọ́, ní inú ẹ̀wọ̀n ibi tí Josẹfu pẹ̀lú wà.
And he put them in [the] custody of [the] house of [the] commander of the bodyguards into [the] house of the prison [the] place where Joseph [was] imprisoned there.
4 Olórí ẹ̀ṣọ́ sì yan Josẹfu láti máa ṣe ìránṣẹ́ wọn. Lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí wọ́n ti wà ní ìhámọ́ fún ìgbà díẹ̀.
And he appointed [the] commander of the bodyguards Joseph with them and he served them and they were days in custody.
5 Ni ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan àwọn ọkùnrin méjèèjì náà—olórí agbọ́tí àti olórí alásè ọba Ejibiti, tí a dè sínú túbú, lá àlá ní òru kan náà, àlá kọ̀ọ̀kan sì ní ìtumọ̀ tirẹ̀.
And they dreamed a dream both of them each own dream his in a night one each according to [the] interpretation of dream his the cup bearer and the baker who [belonged] to [the] king of Egypt who [were] imprisoned in [the] house of the prison.
6 Nígbà tí Josẹfu dé ọ̀dọ̀ wọn ní òwúrọ̀ ọjọ́ kejì, ó ṣe àkíyèsí pé, inú wọn kò dùn.
And he came to them Joseph in the morning and he saw them and [were] they looking dejected.
7 Ó sì bi àwọn ìjòyè Farao tí ó wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ nínú ìhámọ́, nínú ilé olúwa rẹ̀ léèrè pé, “Èéṣe tí ojú yín fi fàro bẹ́ẹ̀ ní òní, tí inú yín kò sì dùn?”
And he asked [the] officials of Pharaoh who [were] with him in [the] custody of [the] house of master his saying why? [are] faces your sad this day.
8 Wọ́n wí pé, “Àwa méjèèjì ni a lá àlá, kò sì sí ẹni tí yóò túmọ̀ rẹ̀.” Josẹfu sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ọlọ́run nìkan ni ó ni ìtumọ̀. Ẹ sọ àwọn àlá yín fún mi.”
And they said to him a dream we dreamed and [is one who] interprets there not it and he said to them Joseph ¿ not [belong] to God [do] interpretations recount [it] please to me.
9 Olórí agbọ́tí sì ṣọ́ àlá rẹ̀ fún Josẹfu, wí pé, “Ní ojú àlá mi, mo rí àjàrà kan (tí wọn ń fi èso rẹ̀ ṣe wáìnì) níwájú mi,
And he recounted [the] chief of the cup bearers dream his to Joseph and he said to him in dream my and there! a vine [was] before me.
10 mo sì rí ẹ̀ka mẹ́ta lórí àjàrà náà, ó yọ ẹ̀ka tuntun, ó sì tanná, láìpẹ́, ó bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní í ní èso tí ó ti pọ́n.
And [were] on the vine three branches and it when [it was] budding it went up blossom its they ripened clusters its grapes.
11 Ife Farao sì wà lọ́wọ́ mi, mo sì mú àwọn èso àjàrà náà, mo sì fún un sínú ife Farao, mo sì gbé ife náà fún Farao.”
And [the] cup of Pharaoh [was] in hand my and I took the grapes and I squeezed them into [the] cup of Pharaoh and I put the cup on [the] palm of Pharaoh.
12 Josẹfu wí fún un pé, “Èyí ni ìtumọ̀ àlá rẹ. Ẹ̀ka mẹ́ta náà dúró fún ọjọ́ mẹ́ta.
And he said to him Joseph this [is] interpretation its [the] three the branches [are] three days they.
13 Láàrín ọjọ́ mẹ́ta Farao yóò mú ọ jáde nínú ẹ̀wọ̀n padà sí ipò rẹ, ìwọ yóò sì tún máa gbé ọtí fún un, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìṣe rẹ àtẹ̀yìnwá.
In again - three days he will lift up Pharaoh head your and he will restore you to office your and you will put [the] cup of Pharaoh in hand his according to the custom former when you were cup bearer his.
14 Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ohun gbogbo bá dára fún ọ, rántí mi kí o sì fi àánú hàn sí mi. Dárúkọ mi fún Farao, kí o sì mú mi jáde kúrò ní ìhín.
That except you have remembered me with you when it will go well for you and you will do please with me loyalty and you will bring to remembrance me to Pharaoh and you will bring out me from the house this.
15 Nítorí á jí mi gbé tà kúrò ní ilẹ̀ àwọn Heberu ni, àti pé níhìn-ín èmi kò ṣe ohunkóhun tí ó fi yẹ kí èmi wà ní ìhámọ́ bí mo ti wà yìí.”
For certainly I was stolen from [the] land of the Hebrews and also here not I have done anything that they have put me in the pit.
16 Nígbà tí olórí alásè rí i wí pé ìtumọ̀ tí Josẹfu fún àlá náà dára, ó wí fún Josẹfu pé, “Èmi pẹ̀lú lá àlá, mo ru agbọ̀n oúnjẹ mẹ́ta lórí.
And he saw [the] chief of the bakers that good he had interpreted and he said to Joseph also I in dream my and there! three baskets of white bread [were] on head my.
17 Nínú agbọ̀n tí ó wà lókè, onírúurú oúnjẹ ló wà níbẹ̀ fún Farao, ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ẹyẹ sì ń ṣà wọ́n jẹ láti inú apẹ̀rẹ̀ náà tí ó wà lórí mi.”
And [was] in the basket upper some of all [the] food of Pharaoh [the] work of a baker and the bird[s] [was] eating them from the basket from on head my.
18 Josẹfu dáhùn, “Èyí ni ìtumọ̀ àlá rẹ. Agbọ̀n mẹ́ta náà túmọ̀ sí ọjọ́ mẹ́ta.
And he answered Joseph and he said this [is] interpretation its [the] three the baskets [are] three days they.
19 Láàrín ọjọ́ mẹ́ta, Farao yóò tú ọ sílẹ̀, yóò sì bẹ́ orí rẹ, yóò sì gbé ara rẹ kọ́ sí orí igi. Àwọn ẹyẹ yóò sì jẹ ara rẹ.”
In again - three days he will lift up Pharaoh head your from on you and he will hang you on a tree and it will eat the bird[s] flesh your from on you.
20 Ọjọ́ kẹta sì jẹ́ ọjọ́ ìbí Farao, ó sì ṣe àsè fún gbogbo àwọn ìjòyè e rẹ̀. Ó sì mú olórí agbọ́tí àti olórí alásè jáde kúrò nínú ẹ̀wọ̀n.
And it was - on the day third ([the] day of *LAH(b)*) being born Pharaoh and he made a feast for all servants his and he lifted up [the] head of - [the] chief of the cup bearers and [the] head of [the] chief of the bakers in among servants his.
21 Ó dá olórí agbọ́tí padà sí ipò tí ó wà tẹ́lẹ̀, kí ó ba à le máa fi ago lé Farao ní ọwọ́,
And he restored [the] chief of the cup bearers to cup bearing his and he put the cup on [the] palm of Pharaoh.
22 ṣùgbọ́n, ó so olórí alásè kọ́ sórí igi, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Josẹfu ti sọ fún wọn nínú ìtumọ̀ rẹ̀ sí àlá wọn.
And [the] chief of the bakers he hanged just as he had interpreted for them Joseph.
23 Ṣùgbọ́n, olórí agbọ́tí kò rántí Josẹfu mọ́, kò tilẹ̀ ronú nípa rẹ̀.
And not he remembered [the] chief of the cup bearers Joseph and he forgot him.
