< Genesis 35 >

1 Nígbà náà ni Ọlọ́run wí fún Jakọbu pé, “Gòkè lọ sí Beteli kí o sì tẹ̀dó síbẹ̀, kí ó mọ pẹpẹ níbẹ̀ fún Ọlọ́run tó farahàn ọ́ nígbà tí o ń sálọ kúrò níwájú Esau arákùnrin rẹ.”
Then God sayde to Iaakob, Arise, goe vp to Beth-el and dwell there, and make there an altar vnto God, that appeared vnto thee, when thou fleddest from Esau thy brother.
2 Nítorí náà, Jakọbu wí fún gbogbo ará ilé rẹ̀ pé, “Ẹ mú gbogbo àjèjì òrìṣà tí ó wà lọ́dọ̀ yín kúrò, kí ẹ ya ara yín sí mímọ́, kí ẹ sì pààrọ̀ aṣọ yín.
Then saide Iaakob vnto his houshold and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and clense your selues, and change your garments:
3 Nígbà náà ni kí ẹ wá, kí ẹ jẹ́ kí a lọ sí Beteli, níbi tí n ó ti mọ pẹpẹ fún Ọlọ́run, tí ó dá mi lóhùn ní ọjọ́ ìpọ́njú mi tí ó sì ti ń pẹ̀lú mi níbi gbogbo tí mo ń lọ.”
For we will rise and goe vp to Beth-el, and I will make an altar there vnto God, which heard me in the day of my tribulation, and was with me in the way which I went.
4 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n fún Jakọbu ní gbogbo àjèjì òrìṣà tí ó wà lọ́wọ́ wọn, àti yẹtí etí wọn, Jakọbu sì bo gbogbo wọn mọ́lẹ̀ sábẹ́ igi óákù ní Ṣekemu.
And they gaue vnto Iaakob all the strange gods, which were in their hands, and all their earings which were in their eares, and Iaakob hidde them vnder an oke, which was by Shechem.
5 Wọ́n sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ ìrìnàjò wọn. Ìbẹ̀rù Ọlọ́run sì ń bẹ lára gbogbo ìlú tí ó yí wọn ká, wọ́n kò sì lépa àwọn ọmọ Jakọbu.
Then they went on their iourney, and the feare of God was vpon the cities that were roud about them: so that they did not follow after the sonnes of Iaakob.
6 Jakọbu àti gbogbo àwọn tí ó wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ sì dé sí Lusi (ti o túmọ̀ sí Beteli) tí ó wà ní ilẹ̀ Kenaani.
So came Iaakob to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan: (the same is Beth-el) hee and all the people that was with him.
7 Níbẹ̀ ni ó sì mọ pẹpẹ kan tí ó pè ní El-Beteli, nítorí níbẹ̀ ni Ọlọ́run ti gbé fi ara hàn án nígbà tí ó ń sálọ fún arákùnrin rẹ̀.
And he built there an altar, and had called the place, The God of Beth-el, because that God appeared vnto him there, when he fled from his brother.
8 Kò pẹ́ lẹ́yìn èyí ni Debora, olùtọ́jú Rebeka kú, a sì sin ín sábẹ́ igi óákù ní ìsàlẹ̀ Beteli. Nítorí náà a sọ ọ́ ní Aloni-Bakuti.
Then Deborah Rebekahs nourse dyed, and was buried beneath Beth-el vnder an oke: and he called the name of it Allon Bachuth.
9 Lẹ́yìn tí Jakọbu padà dé láti Padani-Aramu, Ọlọ́run tún fi ara hàn án, ó sì súre fún un.
Againe God appeared vnto Iaakob, after he came out of Padan Aram, and blessed him.
10 Ọlọ́run sì wí fun un pé, “Jakọbu ni orúkọ rẹ, a kì yóò pè ọ́ ní Jakọbu mọ́; bí kò ṣe Israẹli.” Nítorí náà, ó sọ orúkọ rẹ̀ ní Israẹli.
Moreouer God said vnto him, Thy name is Iaakob: thy name shalbe no more called Iaakob, but Israel shalbe thy name: and hee called his name Israel.
11 Ọlọ́run sì wí fún un pé, “Èmi ni Ọlọ́run alágbára, El-Ṣaddai; máa bí sí i, kí o sì máa pọ̀ sí i. Orílẹ̀-èdè àti ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ orílẹ̀-èdè ni yóò ti ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ wá, àwọn ọba yóò sì jáde wá láti ara rẹ̀.
Againe God said vnto him, I am God all sufficient. growe, and multiplie. a nation and a multitude of nations shall spring of thee, and Kings shall come out of thy loynes.
12 Gbogbo ilẹ̀ tí mo fi fún Abrahamu àti Isaaki ni èmi yóò fún ọ pẹ̀lú, àti fún àwọn ìran rẹ tí ó ń bọ̀ lẹ́yìn.”
Also I will giue the lande, which I gaue to Abraham and Izhak, vnto thee: and vnto thy seede after thee will I giue that land.
13 Nígbà náà ni Ọlọ́run gòkè lọ kúrò ní ibi tí ó ti ń bá a sọ̀rọ̀.
So God ascended from him in the place where he had talked with him.
14 Jakọbu sì fi òkúta ṣe ọ̀wọ̀n kan sí ibi tí Ọlọ́run ti bá a sọ̀rọ̀, ó sì ta ọrẹ ohun mímu sí orí rẹ̀, ó sì da òróró olifi sí orí rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú.
And Iaakob set vp a pillar in the place where he talked with him, a pillar of stone, and powred drinke offring thereon: also hee powred oyle thereon.
15 Jakọbu sì pe orúkọ ibi tí Ọlọ́run ti bá a sọ̀rọ̀ ní Beteli.
And Iaakob called the name of the place, where God spake with him, Beth-el.
16 Nígbà náà ni wọ́n ń tẹ̀síwájú nínú ìrìnàjò wọn láti Beteli. Nígbà tí ó sì ku díẹ̀ kí wọn dé Efrata, Rakeli bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní rọbí, ó sì ní ìdààmú púpọ̀.
Then they departed from Beth-el, and when there was about halfe a daies iourney of ground to come to Ephrath, Rahel trauailed, and in trauailing she was in perill.
17 Bí ó sì ti ń rọbí pẹ̀lú ìrora yìí, agbẹ̀bí wí fún un pé, “Má bẹ̀rù nítorí ọmọkùnrin mìíràn ni ó ń bọ̀ yìí.”
And whe she was in paines of her labour, the midwife saide vnto her, Feare not: for thou shalt haue this sonne also.
18 Bí o sì ti fẹ́ gbé ẹ̀mí mi, torí pé ó ń kú lọ, ó pe ọmọ rẹ̀ náà ní Bene-Oni, ọmọ ìpọ́njú. Ṣùgbọ́n Jakọbu sọ ọmọ náà ní Benjamini, ọmọ oókan àyà mi.
Then as she was about to yeelde vp the Ghost (for she died) she called his name Ben-oni, but his father called him Beniamin.
19 Báyìí ni Rakeli kú, a sì sin ín sí ọ̀nà Efrata (ti o túmọ̀ sí, Bẹtilẹhẹmu).
Thus died Rahel, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Beth-lehem.
20 Jakọbu sì mọ ọ̀wọ́n kan sí ibojì rẹ̀, ọ̀wọ̀n náà sì tọ́ka sí ojú ibojì Rakeli títí di òní.
And Iaakob set a pillar vpon her graue: This is the pillar of Rahels graue vnto this day.
21 Israẹli sì ń bá ìrìnàjò rẹ̀ lọ, ó sì pa àgọ́ rẹ̀ sí Migida-Ederi, ilé ìṣọ́ Ederi.
Then Israel went forwarde, and pitched his tent beyond Migdal-eder.

Now, when Israel dwelt in that land, Reuben went, and lay with Bilhah his fathers concubine, and it came to Israels eare. And Iaakob had twelue sonnes.
23 Àwọn ọmọ Lea, Reubeni tí í ṣe àkọ́bí Jakọbu, Simeoni, Lefi, Juda, Isakari àti Sebuluni.
The sonnes of Leah: Reuben Iaakobs eldest sonne, and Simeon, and Leui, and Iudah, and Issachar, and Zebulun.
24 Àwọn ọmọ Rakeli: Josẹfu àti Benjamini.
The sonnes of Rahel: Ioseph and Beniamin.
25 Àwọn ọmọ Biliha ìránṣẹ́bìnrin Rakeli: Dani àti Naftali.
And the sonnes of Bilhah Rahels maide: Dan and Naphtali.
26 Àwọn ọmọ Silipa ìránṣẹ́bìnrin Lea: Gadi àti Aṣeri. Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni ọmọ tí Jakọbu bí ní Padani-Aramu.
And the sonnes of Zilpah Leahs maide: Gad and Asher. These are the sonnes of Iaakob, which were borne him in Padan Aram.
Then Iaakob came vnto Izhak his father to Mamre a citie of Arbah: this is Hebron, where Abraham and Izhak were strangers.
28 Ẹni ọgọ́sàn-án ọdún ni Isaaki.
And the daies of Izhak were an hundreth and fourescore yeeres.
29 Isaaki sì kú láìpẹ́ lẹ́yìn ìpadàbọ̀ Jakọbu, a sì sin ín pẹ̀lú àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ ní ọjọ́ ogbó rẹ̀. Esau àti Jakọbu ọmọ rẹ̀ sì sin ín.
And Izhak gaue vp the ghost and died, and was gathered vnto his people, being olde and full of daies: and his sonnes Esau and Iaakob buried him.
