< Ezra 3 >
1 Nígbà tí ó di oṣù keje tí àwọn ọmọ Israẹli sì ti wà nínú àwọn ìlú wọn, àwọn ènìyàn péjọpọ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹnìkan ní Jerusalẹmu.
When the seventh month had come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.
2 Nígbà náà ni Jeṣua ọmọ Josadaki àti àwọn àlùfáà ẹlẹgbẹ́ ẹ rẹ̀ Serubbabeli ọmọ Ṣealitieli àti àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní kọ́ pẹpẹ Ọlọ́run Israẹli láti rú ẹbọ sísun níbẹ̀, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìlànà tí a ti kọ sínú ìwé òfin Mose ènìyàn Ọlọ́run.
Then Jeshua the son of Jozadak stood up with his brothers the priests and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and his relatives, and built the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings on it, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
3 Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ wí pé ẹ̀rù àwọn ènìyàn tí ó yí wọn ká ń bà wọ́n síbẹ̀, wọ́n kọ́ pẹpẹ sórí ìpìlẹ̀ rẹ̀, wọ́n sì rú ẹbọ sísun lórí rẹ̀ sí Olúwa, ọrẹ àárọ̀ àti ìrọ̀lẹ́.
In spite of their fear because of the peoples of the surrounding lands, they set the altar on its base; and they offered burnt offerings on it to the LORD, even burnt offerings morning and evening.
4 Nígbà náà ní ìbámu pẹ̀lú ohun tí a kọ, wọ́n ṣe àjọ àgọ́ ìpàdé pẹ̀lú iye ẹbọ sísun tí a fi lélẹ̀ fún ọjọ́ kọ̀ọ̀kan.
They kept the feast of booths, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the ordinance, as the duty of every day required;
5 Lẹ́yìn náà, wọ́n ṣe ìrúbọ ẹbọ sísun àtìgbàdégbà, ẹbọ oṣù tuntun àti gbogbo àwọn ẹbọ fún gbogbo àpèjẹ tí a yà sọ́tọ̀ fún Olúwa, àti àwọn tí a mú wá gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọrẹ àtinúwá fún Olúwa.
and afterward the continual burnt offering, the offerings of the new moons, of all the set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of everyone who willingly offered a free will offering to the LORD.
6 Ní ọjọ́ kìn-ín-ní oṣù keje, wọ́n bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní rú ẹbọ sísun sí Olúwa, bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé a kò ì tí ì fi ìpìlẹ̀ ilé Olúwa lélẹ̀.
From the first day of the seventh month, they began to offer burnt offerings to the LORD; but the foundation of the LORD’s temple was not yet laid.
7 Nígbà náà ni wọ́n fún àwọn ọ̀mọ̀lé àti àwọn gbẹ́nàgbẹ́nà ní owó, wọ́n sì tún fi oúnjẹ, ohun mímu àti òróró fún àwọn ará Sidoni àti Tire, kí wọ́n ba à le è kó igi kedari gba ti orí omi Òkun láti Lebanoni wá sí Joppa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Kirusi ọba Persia ti pàṣẹ.
They also gave money to the masons and to the carpenters. They also gave food, drink, and oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the grant that they had from Cyrus King of Persia.
8 Ní oṣù kejì ọdún kejì lẹ́yìn tí wọ́n ti padà dé sí ilé Ọlọ́run ní Jerusalẹmu, Serubbabeli ọmọ Ṣealitieli, Jeṣua ọmọ Josadaki àti àwọn arákùnrin yòókù (àwọn àlùfáà àti àwọn ará Lefi àti gbogbo àwọn tí ó ti ìgbèkùn dé sí Jerusalẹmu) bẹ̀rẹ̀ iṣẹ́ náà. Wọ́n sì yan àwọn ọmọ Lefi tí ó tó ọmọ-ogun ọdún sókè láti máa bojútó kíkọ́ ilé Olúwa.
Now in the second year of their coming to God’s house at Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, began the work and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to have the oversight of the work of the LORD’s house.
9 Jeṣua àti àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ àti àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀ àti Kadmieli àti àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀, àwọn ọmọ Juda (àwọn ìran Hodafiah) àti àwọn ọmọ Henadadi àti àwọn ọmọ wọn àti àwọn arákùnrin wọn—gbogbo ará Lefi—parapọ̀ láti bojútó àwọn òṣìṣẹ́ náà tí wọ́n ń ṣiṣẹ́ lórí í kíkọ́ ilé Ọlọ́run.
Then Jeshua stood with his sons and his brothers, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together to have the oversight of the workmen in God’s house: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brothers the Levites.
10 Nígbà tí àwọn ọ̀mọ̀lé gbé ìpìlẹ̀ ilé Olúwa kalẹ̀, àwọn àlùfáà nínú aṣọ iṣẹ́ àlùfáà wọn pẹ̀lú fèrè, àti àwọn ará Lefi (àwọn ọmọ Asafu) pẹ̀lú símbálì, dúró ní ipò wọn láti yin Olúwa, bí Dafidi ọba Israẹli ti fi lélẹ̀.
When the builders laid the foundation of the LORD’s temple, they set the priests in their vestments with trumpets, with the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, according to the directions of David king of Israel.
11 Pẹ̀lú ìyìn àti ọpẹ́ ni wọ́n kọrin sí Olúwa: “Ó dára; ìfẹ́ rẹ̀ sí Israẹli dúró títí láé.” Gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn sì fi ohùn ariwo ńlá yin Olúwa, nítorí tí a ti fi ìpìlẹ̀ ilé Olúwa lélẹ̀.
They sang to one another in praising and giving thanks to the LORD, “For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever towards Israel.” All the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the LORD’s house had been laid.
12 Ṣùgbọ́n ọ̀pọ̀ lára àwọn àgbà àlùfáà àti àwọn ará Lefi àti àwọn olórí ìdílé, tí ó ti rí tẹmpili Olúwa ti tẹ́lẹ̀, wọ́n sọkún kíkorò nígbà tí wọ́n rí ìpìlẹ̀ tẹmpili Olúwa yìí tí wọ́n fi lélẹ̀, nígbà tí ọ̀pọ̀ kígbe fún ayọ̀.
But many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers’ households, the old men who had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice. Many also shouted aloud for joy,
13 Kò sí ẹni tí ó le mọ ìyàtọ̀ láàrín igbe ayọ̀ àti ẹkún, nítorí tí ariwo àwọn ènìyàn náà pọ̀ tó bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́ẹ́. Wọ́n sì gbọ́ igbe náà ní ọ̀nà jíjìn réré.
so that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people; for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard far away.
