< Ezekiel 40 >

1 Ní ọdún kẹẹdọ́gbọ̀n tí a ti wà ni oko ẹrú wa, ní ìbẹ̀rẹ̀ ọdún, ni oṣù kẹwàá ọdún kẹrìnlá lẹ́yìn ìṣubú ìlú ńlá náà ní ọjọ́ náà gan an ọwọ́ Olúwa ń bẹ̀ lára mi, òun sì mú mi lọ síbẹ̀.
In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month—in the fourteenth year after Jerusalem had been struck down—on that very day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and He took me there.
2 Nínú ìran Ọlọ́run, ó mú mí lọ sí ilẹ̀ Israẹli, ó sì gbé mi lọ sí orí òkè gíga fíofío. Ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ gúúsù ọ̀pọ̀ ilé tó wà níbẹ̀ dàbí ìlú ńlá.
In visions of God He took me to the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, on whose southern slope was a structure that resembled a city.
3 Ó mú mi lọ síbẹ̀, mo sì rí ọkùnrin kan tí ìrírí rẹ̀ dàbí ìrí baba; ó dúró ni ẹnu-ọ̀nà pẹ̀lú okùn aṣọ ọ̀gbọ̀ funfun àti ọ̀pá ìwọnlẹ̀ ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀.
So He took me there, and I saw a man whose appearance was like bronze. He was standing in the gateway with a linen cord and a measuring rod in his hand.
4 Ọkùnrin náà sọ fún mi pé, “Ọmọ ènìyàn, wò pẹ̀lú ojú rẹ kí o sì gbọ́ pẹ̀lú etí rẹ, kí ó sì fi ara balẹ̀ sì gbogbo ohun tí mo máa fihàn ọ, nítorí ìdí nìyí tí a fi mú ọ wá síyìn-ín. Sọ gbogbo ohun tí ó bá rí fún ilé Israẹli.”
“Son of man,” he said to me, “look with your eyes, hear with your ears, and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here. Report to the house of Israel everything you see.”
5 Mo rí ògiri tí ó yí agbègbè ibi mí mọ̀ po. Gígùn ọ̀pá ìwọnlẹ̀ tí ó wà ní ọwọ́ ọkùnrin náà sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́fà, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ kan àti ìlàsí mẹ́rin ẹsẹ̀ bàtà. Ó wọn ògiri náà; ó jẹ́ ìwọ̀nyí ọ̀pá náà ni nínípọn, ó sì jẹ́ ọ̀pá kan ní gíga.
And I saw a wall surrounding the temple area. Now the length of the measuring rod in the man’s hand was six long cubits (each measuring a cubit and a handbreadth), and he measured the wall to be one rod thick and one rod high.
6 Lẹ́yìn náà ni ó wá lọ sí ẹnu-ọ̀nà òde tí ó kọjú sí ìlà-oòrùn. Ó gun àtẹ̀gùn rẹ̀, o sì wọn ìloro ẹnu-ọ̀nà ilé; ó jẹ́ ọ̀pá kan ní jíjìn.
Then he came to the gate facing east and climbed its steps. He measured the threshold of the gate to be one rod deep.
7 Yàrá kéékèèké sì jẹ ọ̀pá kan ni gígùn àti ọ̀pá kan ní ibú, ìgbéró ògiri àárín yàrá kéékèèké náà jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ márùn-ún ni nínípọn. Ìloro ẹnu-ọ̀nà náà tí ó kángun sí àtẹ̀wọ ẹnu-ọ̀nà náà tó kọjú sì tẹmpili jẹ́ ọ̀pá kan ní jíjìn.
Each gate chamber was one rod long and one rod wide, and there were five cubits between the gate chambers. The inner threshold of the gate by the portico facing inward was one rod deep.
8 Lẹ́yìn náà, ó wọ̀n ògiri àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà:
Then he measured the portico of the gateway inside;
9 Ó jẹ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́jọ ní jíjìn àtẹ́rígbà rẹ̀ sì jẹ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ méjì ní nínípọn. Ògiri àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà kọjú sí tẹmpili.
it was eight cubits deep, and its jambs were two cubits thick. And the portico of the gateway faced the temple.
10 Ní ẹnu-ọ̀nà ìlà-oòrùn ni àwọn yàrá kéékèèké mẹ́ta wà ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ kọ̀ọ̀kan: mẹ́tẹ̀ẹ̀ta kọ̀ jú sí ara wọn, ojú ìgbéró ògiri ni ẹ̀gbẹ́ kọ̀ọ̀kan jẹ́ bákan náà ní wíwọ̀n.
There were three gate chambers on each side of the east gate, each with the same measurements, and the gateposts on either side also had the same measurements.
11 Lẹ́yìn náà ó wọn ìbú à bá wọ ẹnu-ọ̀nà náà; ó jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́wàá, gígùn rẹ̀ sì jẹ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́tàlá.
And he measured the width of the gateway entrance to be ten cubits, and its length was thirteen cubits.
12 Ní iwájú ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan yàrá kéékèèké kọ̀ọ̀kan ní ògiri tí gíga rẹ jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ kan wà, ẹ̀gbẹ́ mẹ́rẹ̀ẹ̀rin àwọn yàrá kéékèèké sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́fà.
In front of each gate chamber was a wall one cubit high, and the gate chambers were six cubits square.
13 Lẹ́yìn náà, ó wọn ẹnu-ọ̀nà láti òkè ẹ̀yìn ògiri yàrá kéékèèké kan títí dé òkè ìdojúkọ ọ̀kan; jíjìn sí ara wọn jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dọ́gbọ̀n láti odi kan tí ó ṣí sílẹ̀ sí ìdojúkọ ọ̀kan.
Then he measured the gateway from the roof of one gate chamber to the roof of the opposite one; the distance was twenty-five cubits from doorway to doorway.
14 Ó sí ṣe àtẹ́rígbà ọlọ́gọ́ta ìgbọ̀nwọ́, àní títí dé àtẹ́rígbà ògiri àgbàlá, yí ẹnu-ọ̀nà ká.
Next he measured the gateposts to be sixty cubits high. The gateway extended around to the gatepost of the courtyard.
15 Láti iwájú ẹnu-ọ̀nà àbáwọlé títí dé ìparí yàrá kéékèèké náà àti àwọn ìgbéró ògiri nínú ẹnu-ọ̀nà ní a gbé dá jẹ́ àádọ́ta ìgbọ̀nwọ́.
And the distance from the entrance of the gateway to the far end of its inner portico was fifty cubits.
16 Ni a tẹ nínú yíká; àwọn mẹ́tẹ̀ẹ̀ta náà ní fèrèsé tóóró tí ó wọ inú yíká. Àwọn ògiri wọn ní inú ni a fi pákó tẹ yíká láti ilẹ̀ dé òkè fèrèsé àti láti fèrèsé dé òrùlé.
The gate chambers and their side pillars had beveled windows all around the inside of the gateway. The porticos also had windows all around on the inside. Each side pillar was decorated with palm trees.
17 Lẹ́yìn náà ó mú mi lọ sí ojú òde àgbàlá. Níbẹ̀ mo rí yàrá díẹ̀ àti pèpéle tí a kọ́ yí àgbàlá ká; ọgbọ̀n yàrá wà lẹ́gbẹ̀ pèpéle náà.
Then he brought me into the outer court, and there were chambers and a pavement laid out all around the court. Thirty chambers faced the pavement,
18 O ṣe ààlà sí ẹ̀gbẹ́ àwọn ẹnu-ọ̀nà, ìbú rẹ̀ sì jẹ́ bákan náà pẹ̀lú gígùn rẹ̀: èyí jẹ́ pèpéle tí ìsàlẹ̀.
which flanked the gateways and corresponded to the length of the gates; this was the lower pavement.
19 Lẹ́yìn náà, o wọn jíjìnnà rẹ̀ láti inú ìsàlẹ̀ ẹnu-ọ̀nà títí dé àgbàlá tí inú; ó jẹ́ ọgọ́rùn-ún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ni ìhà ìlà-oòrùn àti tí àríwá.
Then he measured the distance from the front of the lower gateway to the outside of the inner court; it was a hundred cubits on the east side as well as on the north.
20 Lẹ́yìn náà, ó wọn gígùn àti ibú ẹnu-ọ̀nà tí ó dojúkọ àríwá, à bá wọ àgbàlá.
He also measured the length and width of the gateway of the outer court facing north.
21 Àwọn yàrá kéékèèké rẹ̀ mẹ́ta ni ẹ̀gbẹ́ kọ̀ọ̀kan ìgbéró ògiri rẹ̀ àti àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà jẹ́ bákan náà ni wíwọ̀n gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn tí ẹnu-ọ̀nà àkọ́kọ́. Ó jẹ́ àádọ́ta ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ni gígùn, ó sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dọ́gbọ̀n ni ìbú.
Its three gate chambers on each side, its side pillars, and its portico all had the same measurements as the first gate: fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
22 Ojú ihò rẹ̀, àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà rẹ̀ àti igi ọ̀pẹ tí í ṣe ọ̀ṣọ́ rẹ̀ ni wọn kàn gẹ́gẹ́ bí tí àwọn ẹnu-ọ̀nà tí ó dojúkọ ìlà-oòrùn. Àtẹ̀gùn méje ní ó dé ibẹ̀, pẹ̀lú àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà òdìkejì wọn.
Its windows, portico, and palm trees had the same measurements as those of the gate facing east. Seven steps led up to it, with its portico opposite them.
23 Ẹnu-ọ̀nà kan sí àgbàlá ti inú ni ìdojúkọ ẹnu-ọ̀nà àríwá, gẹ́gẹ́ bí o ṣe wà ní ìlà-oòrùn. Ó wọ́n láti ẹnu-ọ̀nà sí ìdojúkọ ọ̀kan; ó jẹ́ ọgọ́rùn-ún ìgbọ̀nwọ́.
There was a gate to the inner court facing the north gate, just as there was on the east. He measured the distance from gateway to gateway to be a hundred cubits.
24 Lẹ́yìn náà, o mú mi lọ sí ìhà gúúsù, mo sì rí ẹnu-ọ̀nà tí ó dojúkọ gúúsù. Ó wọn àtẹ́rígbà àti ògiri àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà, wọ́n jẹ́ bákan náà bí ti àwọn tí o kù.
Then he led me to the south side, and I saw a gateway facing south. He measured its side pillars and portico, and they had the same measurements as the others.
25 Ẹnu-ọ̀nà àti àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà ni ojú ihò tóóró yí po, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ojú ihò ti àwọn tókù. Ó jẹ́ àádọ́ta ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní gígùn àti ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dọ́gbọ̀n ní ìbú.
Both the gateway and its portico had windows all around, like the other windows. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
26 Àtẹ̀gùn méje ní ń bẹ láti bá gun òkè rẹ̀, àti àwọn ìloro rẹ̀ sì ń bẹ níwájú wọn; Ó ní igi ọ̀pẹ tí a fi ṣe ọ̀ṣọ́ rẹ̀ ni ojú ìgbéró ògiri ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ kọ̀ọ̀kan.
Seven steps led up to it, and its portico was opposite them; it had palm trees on its side pillars, one on each side.
27 Àgbàlá ti inú náà ní ẹnu-ọ̀nà yìí sí ẹnu-ọ̀nà ìta ni ìhà gúúsù; o jẹ́ ọgọ́rùn-ún ìgbọ̀nwọ́.
The inner court also had a gate facing south, and he measured the distance from gateway to gateway toward the south to be a hundred cubits.
28 Lẹ́yìn náà, o mú mi lọ sí àgbàlá ti inú láti ẹnu-ọ̀nà gúúsù, ó ní ìwọ̀n kan náà ẹnu-ọ̀nà gúúsù; ó ní ìwọ̀n kan náà pẹ̀lú àwọn tí ó kù.
Next he brought me into the inner court through the south gate, and he measured the south gate; it had the same measurements as the others.
29 Àwọn yàrá kéékèèké rẹ̀, àwọn ìgbéró ògiri rẹ̀ àti àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà jẹ́ bákan náà pẹ̀lú àwọn tí ó kù. Ẹnu-ọ̀nà náà àti àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà rẹ̀ ní ihò ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ rẹ̀ gbogbo.
Its gate chambers, side pillars, and portico had the same measurements as the others. Both the gateway and its portico had windows all around; it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
30 (Àwọn àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà tí ó yí àgbàlá po jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dọ́gbọ̀n ni ìbú àti ìgbọ̀nwọ́ márùn-ún ni jíjìn).
(The porticoes around the inner court were twenty-five cubits long and five cubits deep.)
31 Àtẹ̀wọ ẹnu-ọ̀nà rẹ̀ tí ó dojúkọ ògiri àgbàlá tí ìta, igi ọ̀pẹ ṣe ọ̀ṣọ́ sí àwọn àtẹ́rígbà rẹ̀, àtẹ̀gùn mẹ́jọ ní ó lọ sì òkè sí i.
Its portico faced the outer court, and its side pillars were decorated with palm trees. Eight steps led up to it.
32 Lẹ́yìn náà, ó mú mi lọ sí àgbàlá tí inú ni ìhà ìlà-oòrùn, ó sì wọn ẹnu-ọ̀nà; ó ní ìwọ̀n kan náà pẹ̀lú àwọn tí ó kù.
And he brought me to the inner court on the east side, and he measured the gateway; it had the same measurements as the others.
33 Àwọn yàrá kéékèèké rẹ̀, ìgbéró ògiri rẹ̀ àti àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà rẹ̀ ní ìwọ̀n kan náà pẹ̀lú àwọn tí ó kù. Ẹnu-ọ̀nà náà àti àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà ni ihò yí po. Ó jẹ́ àádọ́ta ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ni ìbú.
Its gate chambers, side pillars, and portico had the same measurements as the others. Both the gateway and its portico had windows all around. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
34 Àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà rẹ̀ dojúkọ ògiri àgbàlá tí ìta; àwọn igi ọ̀pẹ ṣe ọ̀ṣọ́ sí àtẹ́rígbà ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ méjèèjì, àtẹ̀gùn mẹ́jọ sì lọ sókè rẹ̀.
Its portico faced the outer court, and its side pillars were decorated with palm trees on each side. Eight steps led up to it.
35 Gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn yàrá kéékèèké rẹ̀ ṣe rí. Àwọn ìgbéró ògiri rẹ̀ àti àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà, ó sì ní àwọn ihò yí i po. O jẹ́ àádọ́ta ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní gígùn àti ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dọ́gbọ̀n ní ìbú.
Then he brought me to the north gate and measured it. It had the same measurements as the others,
36 Àwọn yàrá ẹ̀ṣọ́ rẹ̀ àwọn ògiri òpó rẹ̀ àti ìloro rẹ̀, àti fèrèsé rẹ̀ yíká: gígùn rẹ̀ àádọ́ta ìgbọ̀nwọ́, àti ìbú rẹ̀ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dọ́gbọ̀n.
as did its gate chambers, side pillars, and portico. It also had windows all around. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
37 Àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà rẹ̀ dojúkọ ògiri àgbàlá ìta; àwọn igi ọ̀pẹ ṣe ọ̀ṣọ́ sí àwọn àtẹ́rígbà rẹ̀ ni ẹ̀gbẹ́ méjèèjì, àtẹ̀gùn mẹ́jọ ní ó so mọ́ ọn lókè.
Its portico faced the outer court, and its side pillars were decorated with palm trees on each side. Eight steps led up to it.
38 Yàrá kan pẹ̀lú ìlẹ̀kùn wà ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ ògiri àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà ní ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan ẹnu-ọ̀nà inú, níbi tí wọn tí ń fọ àwọn ẹbọ sísun.
There was a chamber with a doorway by the portico in each of the inner gateways. There the burnt offering was to be washed.
39 Ní àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà tí ẹnu-ọ̀nà ni tẹmpili méjì wà ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ kọ̀ọ̀kan, lórí èyí tí a ti ń pa ọrẹ ẹbọ sísun, ẹbọ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ àti ẹbọ ẹ̀bi ẹ̀ṣẹ̀.
Inside the portico of the gateway were two tables on each side, on which the burnt offerings, sin offerings, and guilt offerings were to be slaughtered.
40 Ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ ògiri ìta àtẹ̀wọ ẹnu-ọ̀nà tí ẹnu-ọ̀nà, tí ó súnmọ́ àwọn àtẹ̀gùn ní àbáwọlé tí ẹnu-ọ̀nà àríwá ni tẹmpili méjì wà, ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ kejì tí àtẹ̀gùn ní tẹmpili méjì wà.
Outside, as one goes up to the entrance of the north gateway, there were two tables on one side and two more tables on the other side of the gate’s portico.
41 Nítorí náà, tẹmpili mẹ́rin ni ó wà ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ kan ẹnu-ọ̀nà, mẹ́rin sì wà ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ kejì tẹmpili, mẹ́jọ ni gbogbo rẹ̀ lórí èyí ni a ti ń pa ohun ìrúbọ.
So there were four tables inside the gateway and four outside—eight tables in all—on which the sacrifices were to be slaughtered.
42 Tẹmpili mẹ́rin tí à fi òkúta ṣe lọ́ṣọ̀ọ́ sì tún wà fún ẹbọ sísun, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ kan àti ààbọ̀ ni gígùn, ìgbọ̀nwọ́ kan àti ààbọ̀ ní ìbú àti ìgbọ̀nwọ́ kan ni gíga. Ní orí rẹ̀ ni a kó àwọn ohun èlò fún pípa, ọrẹ ẹbọ sísun àti àwọn ìrúbọ tí ó kù sí.
There were also four tables of dressed stone for the burnt offering, each a cubit and a half long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit high. On these were placed the utensils used to slaughter the burnt offerings and the other sacrifices.
43 Ìlọ́po méjì ohun èlò bí àmúga tí o ní ìwọ̀ tí ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan jẹ́ ìbú ọwọ́ ní gígùn, ni a so mọ́ ara ògiri yíká. Àwọn tẹmpili náà wa fún ẹran ohun ìrúbọ.
The double-pronged hooks, each a handbreadth long, were fastened all around the inside of the room, and the flesh of the offering was to be placed on the tables.
44 Lẹ́yìn náà ó wọn àgbàlá, ó jẹ́ ọgọ́rùn-ún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní gígùn, ó sì jẹ́ ọgọ́rùn-ún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní ìbú. Pẹpẹ sì wà ní iwájú tẹmpili.
Outside the inner gate, within the inner court, were two chambers, one beside the north gate and facing south, and another beside the south gate and facing north.
45 Ó sì wí fún mi pé, “Yàrá yìí, tí iwájú rẹ̀ wà níhà gúúsù, wà fún àwọn àlùfáà, àwọn ti n bojútó ilé náà.
Then the man said to me: “The chamber that faces south is for the priests who keep charge of the temple,
46 Iyàrá ti iwájú rẹ̀ ti o wà níhà àríwá, wà fún àwọn àlùfáà, àwọn ti ń bojútó pẹpẹ náà, àwọn wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Sadoku nínú àwọn ọmọ Lefi, tí wọ́n ń súnmọ́ Olúwa láti ṣe ìránṣẹ́ fún un.”
and the chamber that faces north is for the priests who keep charge of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, the only Levites who may approach the LORD to minister before Him.”
47 Ó sì wọn àgbàlá náà, ọgọ́rùn-ún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ni gígùn, ọgọ́rùn-ún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ni ìbú, igun mẹ́rin lọ́gbọọgba, àti pẹpẹ ti ń bẹ níwájú ilé náà.
Next he measured the court. It was square, a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide. And the altar was in front of the temple.
48 Ó mú mi lọ sí àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà tẹmpili, ó sì wọn àwọn àtẹ́rígbà àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà; wọ́n jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ márùn-ún ní ìbú, ẹ̀gbẹ́ méjèèjì rẹ̀. Fífẹ̀ àbáwọlé jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́rìnlá, ìgbéró àwọn ògiri náà jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́ta ní ìbú ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ ògiri méjèèjì.
Then he brought me to the portico of the temple and measured the side pillars of the portico to be five cubits on each side. The width of the gateway was fourteen cubits and its sidewalls were three cubits on either side.
49 Àtẹ̀wọ ẹnu-ọ̀nà jẹ́ ogún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní ìbú, àti ìgbọ̀nwọ́ méjìlá láti iwájú dé ẹ̀yìn. Láti ara àtẹ̀gùn ní a ti ń dé ibẹ̀ àwọn òpó sì wà ni ẹ̀gbẹ́ ògiri kọ̀ọ̀kan àwọn àtẹ́rígbà náà.
The portico was twenty cubits wide and twelve cubits deep, and ten steps led up to it. There were columns by the side pillars, one on each side.
