< Ezekiel 19 >
1 “Kọ orin ọ̀fọ̀ nítorí àwọn ọmọ-aládé Israẹli
Moreover take you up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,
2 wí pé: “‘Èwo nínú abo kìnnìún ni ìyá rẹ̀ ní àárín àwọn kìnnìún yòókù? Ó sùn ní àárín àwọn ọ̀dọ́ kìnnìún ó sì ń tọ́jú àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀.
And say, What is your mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions.
3 Ó sì tọ́ ọ̀kan nínú àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ dàgbà, ó sì di kìnnìún tó ní agbára, ó kọ́ ọ láti ṣọdẹ, ó sì ń pa àwọn ènìyàn jẹ.
And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.
4 Àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè gbọ́ nípa rẹ̀, wọ́n sì fi ẹ̀wọ̀n mú un nínú iho wọn. Wọn fi ẹ̀wọ̀n mu nu lọ sí ilẹ̀ Ejibiti.
The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.
5 “‘Nígbà tí abo kìnnìún yìí rí pé ìrètí rẹ̀ sì jásí asán, ó mú ọmọ rẹ̀ mìíràn ó sì tún tọ́ ọ dàgbà di kìnnìún tó ní agbára.
Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps, and made him a young lion.
6 Ó sì ń rìn káàkiri láàrín àwọn kìnnìún nítorí pé ó ti lágbára, o kọ ọdẹ ṣíṣe, ó sì pa àwọn ènìyàn.
And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and learned to catch the prey, and devoured men.
7 Ó sì wó odi wọn palẹ̀ ó sì sọ àwọn ìlú wọn di ahoro. Ilẹ̀ náà àti àwọn olùgbé ibẹ̀ sì wà ní ìpayà nítorí bíbú ramúramù rẹ̀.
And he knew their desolate palaces, and he laid waste their cities; and the land was desolate, and the fullness thereof, by the noise of his roaring.
8 Nígbà náà ni àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè dìde sí i, àwọn tó yìí ká láti ìgbèríko wá. Wọn dẹ àwọ̀n wọn fún un, wọn sì mú nínú ihò wọn.
Then the nations set against him on every side from the provinces, and spread their net over him: he was taken in their pit.
9 Wọn fi ìwọ̀ gbé e sínú àgò, wọn mú un lọ sí ọ̀dọ̀ ọba Babeli, wọn fi sínú ìhámọ́, a kò sì gbọ́ bíbú rẹ̀ mọ́ lórí òkè Israẹli.
And they put him in ward in chains, and brought him to the king of Babylon: they brought him into holds, that his voice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel.
10 “‘Ìyá rẹ dàbí àjàrà nínú ọgbà àjàrà rẹ̀; tí á gbìn sí etí odò ó, kún fún èso, ó sì kún fún ẹ̀ka nítorí ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ omi.
Your mother is like a vine in your blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.
11 Àwọn ẹ̀ka rẹ̀ lágbára tó láti fi ṣe ọ̀pá àṣẹ ìjòyè, ó ga sókè láàrín ewé rẹ̀, gíga rẹ̀ hàn jáde láàrín ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ẹ̀ka rẹ̀.
And she had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and her stature was exalted among the thick branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches.
12 Ṣùgbọ́n ó fà á tu ní ìrunú, á sì wọ́ ọ lulẹ̀, afẹ́fẹ́ láti ìlà-oòrùn sì gbé èso rẹ̀, ọ̀pá líle rẹ̀ ti ṣẹ́, ó sì rọ iná sì jó wọn run.
But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.
13 Báyìí, a tún ún gbìn sínú aṣálẹ̀ ni ilẹ̀ gbígbẹ àti ilẹ̀ tó ń pòǹgbẹ omi.
And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground.
14 Iná sì jáde láti ọ̀kan lára ẹ̀ka rẹ̀ ó sì pa ẹ̀ka àti èso rẹ̀ run, dé bi pé kò sí ẹ̀ka tó lágbára lórí rẹ̀ mọ́; èyí to ṣe fi ṣe ọ̀pá fún olórí mọ́.’ Èyí ni orin ọ̀fọ̀ a o sì máa lo bí orin ọ̀fọ̀.”
And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which has devoured her fruit, so that she has no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.
