1 Nígbà náà ní Olúwa sọ fún Mose pé, “Ní ìsin yìí, ìwọ yóò rí ohun tí èmi yóò ṣe sí Farao pẹ̀lú ọwọ́ agbára ńlá mi ni yóò fi jẹ́ kí wọn lọ; pẹ̀lú ọwọ́ agbára ńlá mi, òun yóò lé wọn jáde kúrò ní orílẹ̀-èdè rẹ̀.”
Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh. You will see this, for he will let them go because of my strong hand. Because of my strong hand, he will drive them out of his land.”
2 Ọlọ́run sì tún sọ fún Mose pé, “Èmi ni Olúwa.
God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am Yahweh.
3 Mo fi ara hàn Abrahamu, Isaaki àti Jakọbu bí Ọlọ́run alágbára, ṣùgbọ́n nípa orúkọ mi Olúwa, Èmi kò fi ara mi hàn wọ́n.
I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty; but by my name, Yahweh, I was not known to them.
4 Èmí sì tún fi ìdí májẹ̀mú mi múlẹ̀ pẹ̀lú wọn láti fún wọn ní ilẹ̀ Kenaani, ilẹ̀ tí wọn gbé gẹ́gẹ́ bí àjèjì.
I also established my covenant with them, in order to give them the land of Canaan, the land where they lived as non-citizens, the land in which they wandered about.
5 Èmi sì ti tún gbọ́ kíkùn àwọn ọmọ Israẹli àwọn tí àwọn ará Ejibiti mú gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹrú, àti pé èmi sì ti rántí májẹ̀mú mi.
Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites whom the Egyptians have enslaved, and I have called to mind my covenant.
6 “Sọ fún àwọn ará ilé Israẹli, ‘Èmi ni Olúwa, Èmi yóò sọ yín di òmìnira kúrò nínú àjàgà àwọn ará Ejibiti. Èmi yóò sì gbà yín sílẹ̀ kúrò ní oko ẹrú wọn. Èmi yóò dá a yín sílẹ̀ pẹ̀lú apá nínà (àwọn iṣẹ́ ìyanu) àti pẹ̀lú ìdájọ́ ńlá.
Therefore, say to the Israelites, 'I am Yahweh. I will bring you out from slavery under the Egyptians, and I will free you from their power. I will rescue you with a display of my power, and with mighty acts of judgment.
7 Èmi yóò mú un yín bí ènìyàn mi, èmi yóò sì jẹ́ Ọlọ́run yín. Nígbà náà ni ẹ̀yin yóò mọ̀ pé, èmi ni Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín, ẹni tí ó mú un yín jáde kúrò nínú àjàgà àwọn ará Ejibiti.
I will take you to myself as my people, and I will be your God. You will know that I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out from slavery under the Egyptians.
8 Èmi yóò mú un yín wá ilẹ̀ náà ti èmi ti búra pẹ̀lú ìgbọ́wọ́sókè láti fi fún Abrahamu. Isaaki àti Jakọbu. Èmi yóò fi fún un yín bí ohun ìní, Èmi ni Olúwa.’”
I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am Yahweh.'”
9 Mose sì sọ èyí fún àwọn ará Israẹli, ṣùgbọ́n wọn kò fi etí sílẹ̀ sí Mose nítorí ọkàn wọn tó rẹ̀wẹ̀sì àti nítorí ìgbèkùn búburú bí ohun tí ó ti kọ́ sọ kó wọn sí ní oko ẹrú wọn.
When Moses told this to the Israelites, they would not listen to him because of their discouragement about their harsh slavery.
10 Nígbà náà ni Olúwa sọ fún Mose.
Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
11 “Lọ, sọ fún Farao ọba Ejibiti pé kí ó jẹ́ kí àwọn ará Israẹli lọ kúrò ní orílẹ̀-èdè rẹ̀.”
“Go tell Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to let the people of Israel go from his land.”
12 Ṣùgbọ́n Mose sọ fún Olúwa pé, “Nígbà ti àwọn ará Israẹli tó jẹ́ ènìyàn mi kó fetí sí ọ̀rọ̀ mi, báwo ni Farao yóò ṣe fetí sí ọ̀rọ̀ mi, nígbà ti mo jẹ́ akólòlò?”
Moses said to Yahweh, “If the Israelites have not listened to me, why will Pharaoh listen to me, since I am not good at speaking?”
13 Olúwa bá ìran Mose àti Aaroni sọ̀rọ̀ nípa àwọn ará Israẹli àti Farao ọba Ejibiti, ó pàṣẹ fún wọn pé kí wọn kó àwọn Israẹli jáde kúrò ni ilẹ̀ Ejibiti.
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron. He gave them a command for the Israelites and for Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.
14 Wọ̀nyí ni olórí ìran wọn: àwọn ọmọ Reubeni àkọ́bí Israẹli ni: Hanoku, Pallu, Hesroni àti Karmi. Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé Reubeni.
These were the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, were Hanok, Pallu, Hezron, and Karmi. These were the clan ancestors of Reuben.
15 Àwọn ọmọ Simeoni ni: Jemueli, Jamini, Ohadi, Jakini, Sohari àti Saulu ọmọ obìnrin Kenaani. Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni ìran Simeoni.
The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar, and Shaul—the son of a Canaanite woman. These were the clan ancestors of Simeon.
16 Ìwọ̀nyí ni orúkọ àwọn ọmọ Lefi gẹ́gẹ́ bí àkọsílẹ̀ wọn: Gerṣoni, Kohati àti Merari. Lefi lo ẹ̀tàdínlógóje ọdún láyé.
Here are listed the names of the sons of Levi, together with their descendants. They were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi lived until he was 137 years old.
17 Àwọn ọmọ Gerṣoni ni ìran wọn ni: Libni àti Ṣimei.
The sons of Gershon were Libni and Shimei.
18 Àwọn ọmọ Kohati ni: Amramu, Isari, Hebroni àti Usieli. Kohati lo ẹ̀tàléláádóje ọdún láyé.
The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Kohath lived until he was 133 years old.
19 Àwọn ọmọ Merari ni: Mahili àti Muṣi. Ìwọ̀nyí ni ìran Lefi gẹ́gẹ́ bí àkọsílẹ̀ wọn.
The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. These became the clan ancestors of the Levites, together with their descendants.
20 Amramu sì fẹ́ Jokebedi arábìnrin baba rẹ̀ ní ìyàwó. Jokebedi sì bí Aaroni àti Mose fún un. Amramu lo ẹ̀tàdínlógóje ọdún láyé.
Amram married Jochebed, his father's sister. She bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived 137 years and then died.
21 Àwọn ọmọ Isari ni: Kora, Nefegi àti Sikri.
The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.
22 Àwọn ọmọ Usieli ni: Miṣaeli, Elsafani àti Sitiri.
The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
23 Aaroni fẹ́ Eliṣeba ọmọbìnrin Amminadabu tí í ṣe arábìnrin Nahiṣoni, ó sì bí Nadabu, Abihu, Eleasari àti Itamari.
Aaron married Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Nahshon. She bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
24 Àwọn ọmọ Kora ni: Asiri, Elkana àti Abiasafu. Ìwọ̀nyí ni ìran Kora.
The sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These were the clan ancestors of the Korahites.
25 Eleasari ọmọ Aaroni fẹ́ ọ̀kan lára àwọn ọmọbìnrin Putieli ní ìyàwó, ó sì bí Finehasi fún un. Ìwọ̀nyí ni olórí àwọn Lefi ni ìdílé ìdílé.
Eleazar, Aaron's son, married one of the daughters of Putiel. She bore him Phinehas. These were the heads of the fathers' houses among the Levites, together with their descendants.
26 Aaroni àti Mose yìí kan náà ni Olúwa sọ fún pé, “Ẹ kó àwọn ará Israẹli jáde kúrò ni ilẹ̀ Ejibiti ní ìsọ̀rí ìsọ̀rí.”
These two men were the Aaron and Moses to whom Yahweh said, “Bring out the Israelites from the land of Egypt, by their groups of fighting men.”
27 Àwọn ni ó bá Farao ọba Ejibiti sọ̀rọ̀ nípa kíkó àwọn ará Israẹli jáde kúrò ni Ejibiti, àní Mose àti Aaroni yìí kan náà ni.
Aaron and Moses spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to allow them bring out the Israelites from Egypt. These were the same Moses and Aaron.
28 Nígbà tí Olúwa bá Mose sọ̀rọ̀ ni Ejibiti,
When Yahweh spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,
29 Olúwa sì sọ fún Mose pé, “Èmi ni Olúwa. Sọ ohun gbogbo ti mo ti sọ fún ọ fún Farao ọba Ejibiti.”
he said to him, “I am Yahweh. Say to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, everything that I will tell you.”
30 Ṣùgbọ́n Mose sì wí ní iwájú Olúwa pé, “Níwọ́n ìgbà ti mo jẹ́ akólòlò, ọ̀nà dà ti Farao yóò ṣe fi etí sí mi?”
But Moses said to Yahweh, “I am not good at speaking, so why will Pharaoh listen to me?”
