< Ecclesiastes 10 >
1 Gẹ́gẹ́ bí òkú eṣinṣin tí ń fún òróró ìkunra ní òórùn búburú, bẹ́ẹ̀ náà ni òmùgọ̀ díẹ̀ ṣe ń bo ọgbọ́n àti ọlá mọ́lẹ̀.
Flies of death it causes to stink it ferments [the] oil of a perfumer [is] weighty more than wisdom more than honor folly a little.
2 Ọkàn ọlọ́gbọ́n a máa ṣí sí ohun tí ó tọ̀nà, ṣùgbọ́n ọkàn òmùgọ̀ sí ohun tí kò dára.
[the] heart of A wise [person] [is] to right [hand] his and [the] heart of a fool [is] to left [hand] his.
3 Kódà bí ó ti ṣe ń rìn láàrín ọ̀nà, òmùgọ̀ kò ní ọgbọ́n a sì máa fihan gbogbo ènìyàn bí ó ti gọ̀ tó.
And also on the way (like when a fool *Q(K)*) [is] going heart his is lacking and he says to everyone [is] a fool he.
4 Bí ìbínú alákòóso bá dìde lòdì sí ọ, ma ṣe fi ààyè rẹ sílẹ̀; ìdákẹ́ jẹ́ẹ́jẹ́ le è tú àṣìṣe ńlá.
If [the] spirit of the ruler it will go up towards you place your may not you leave for calmness it will cause to rest sins great.
5 Ohun ibi kan wà tí mo ti rí lábẹ́ oòrùn, irú àṣìṣe tí ó dìde láti ọ̀dọ̀ alákòóso.
There [is] an evil [which] I have seen under the sun like an inadvertence that [is] going forth from to before the ruler.
6 A gbé aṣiwèrè sí ọ̀pọ̀ ipò tí ó ga jùlọ, nígbà tí ọlọ́rọ̀ gba àwọn ààyè tí ó kéré jùlọ.
It is put folly in high places many and rich [people] in the low place they sit.
7 Mo ti rí ẹrú lórí ẹṣin, nígbà tí ọmọ-aládé ń fi ẹsẹ̀ rìn bí ẹrú.
I have seen slaves on horses and princes [who] walk like slaves on the ground.
8 Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá gbẹ́ kòtò, ó le è ṣubú sínú rẹ̀; ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá la inú ògiri, ejò le è ṣán an.
[one who] digs A pit in it he will fall and [one who] breaks through a wall it will bite him a snake.
9 Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá gbe òkúta le è ní ìpalára láti ipasẹ̀ wọn; ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá la ìtì igi le è ní ìpalára láti ipasẹ̀ wọn.
[one who] quarries Stones he will be hurt by them [one who] cleaves wood he will be endangered by them.
10 Bí àáké bá kú tí ẹ̀gbẹ́ rẹ̀ kò sì sí ní pípọ́n; yóò nílò agbára púpọ̀ ṣùgbọ́n ọgbọ́n orí ni yóò mú àṣeyọrí wá.
If it is blunt the iron [axe] and he not faces he has sharpened and strength he will make strong and [is] advantage (to give success *Q(k)*) wisdom.
11 Bí ejò bá ṣán ni kí a tó lo oògùn rẹ̀, kò sí èrè kankan fún olóògùn rẹ̀.
If it will bite the snake with not charming and there not [is] profit for [the] master of the tongue.
12 Ọ̀rọ̀ tí ó wá láti ẹnu ọlọ́gbọ́n a máa ní oore-ọ̀fẹ́ ṣùgbọ́n ètè òmùgọ̀ fúnra rẹ̀ ni yóò parun.
[the] words of [the] mouth of A wise [person] [are] favor and [the] lips of a fool it swallows him.
13 Ìbẹ̀rẹ̀ ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ jẹ́ òmùgọ̀; ìparí rẹ̀ sì jẹ́ ìsínwín búburú.
[the] beginning of [the] words of Mouth his [is] folly and [the] end of mouth his [is] madness evil.
14 Wèrè a sì máa ṣàfikún ọ̀rọ̀. Kò sí ẹni tí ó mọ ohun tí ó ń bọ̀ ta ni ó le è sọ fún un ohun tí yóò ṣẹlẹ̀ lẹ́yìn rẹ̀?
And the fool he multiplies words not he knows the person what? that will be and which it will be from after him who? will he tell to him.
15 Iṣẹ́ aṣiwèrè a máa dá a lágara kò sì mọ ojú ọ̀nà sí ìlú.
[the] toil of Fools it wearies him that not he knows to walk to a city.
16 Ègbé ni fún ọ, ìwọ ilẹ̀ tí ọba ń ṣe ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ àti tí àwọn ọmọ-aládé ń ṣe àsè ní òwúrọ̀.
Woe! to you O land that king your [is] a youth and princes your in the morning they eat.
17 Ìbùkún ni fún ọ, ìwọ ilẹ̀ èyí tí ọba rẹ̀ jẹ́ ọmọ ọlọ́lá, àti tí àwọn ọmọ-aládé ń jẹun ní àsìkò tí ó yẹ, fún ìlera, tí kì í ṣe fún ìmutípara.
How blessed [are] you O land that king your [is] a son of nobles and princes your at the appropriate time they eat for strength and not for drinking.
18 Bí ènìyàn bá ń lọ́ra, àjà ilé a máa jì bí ọwọ́ rẹ̀ bá ń ṣe ọ̀lẹ, ilé a máa jó.
In laziness it sinks the rafter[s] and in lowering of hands it leaks the house.
19 Ẹ̀rín rínrín ni a ṣe àsè fún, wáìnì a máa mú ayé dùn, ṣùgbọ́n owó ni ìdáhùn sí ohun gbogbo.
For laughter [people are] making food and wine it makes glad life and money it answers everything.
20 Ma ṣe bú ọba, kódà nínú èrò rẹ, tàbí kí o ṣépè fún ọlọ́rọ̀ ní ibi ibùsùn rẹ, nítorí pé ẹyẹ ojú ọ̀run le è gbé ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ ẹyẹ tí ó sì ní ìyẹ́ apá le è fi ẹjọ́ ohun tí o sọ sùn.
Also in mind your a king may not you curse and in [the] chambers of lying down your may not you curse a rich [person] for bird of the heavens it will carry the sound and an owner (of wings *Q(K)*) it will tell [the] matter.
