< Deuteronomy 34 >
1 Nígbà náà ni Mose gun òkè Nebo láti pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ Moabu sí orí Pisga tí ó dojúkọ Jeriko. Níbẹ̀ ni Olúwa ti fi gbogbo ilẹ̀ hàn án láti Gileadi dé Dani,
Moses left the plains of Moab and went to Mount Nebo, climbing right to the top of Pisgah that faces in the direction of Jericho. The Lord showed him the whole country, from Gilead all the way to Dan.
2 gbogbo Naftali, ilẹ̀ Efraimu àti Manase, gbogbo ilẹ̀ Juda títí dé Òkun Ńlá,
This included all the territories of Naphtali, Ephraim and Manasseh, Judah as far as the Mediterranean Sea,
3 gúúsù àti gbogbo àfonífojì Jeriko, ìlú ọlọ́pẹ dé Soari.
the Negev, and the Jordan Valley from Jericho (the city of palms) down to Zoar.
4 Nígbà náà ní Olúwa sọ fún un pé, “Èyí ni ilẹ̀ tí mo ṣèlérí lórí ìbúra fún Abrahamu, Isaaki, àti Jakọbu nígbà tí mo wí pé, ‘Èmi yóò fi fún irú-ọmọ rẹ.’ Mo ti jẹ́ kí o rí i pẹ̀lú ojú rẹ, ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ kì yóò dé bẹ̀.”
The Lord told him, “This is the country I solemnly promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I'm giving it to your descendants.’ I have allowed you to see it for yourself, but you're not going to enter it.”
5 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Mose ìránṣẹ́ Olúwa kú ní ilẹ̀ Moabu, bí Olúwa ti wí.
Moses, the servant of the Lord, died there in the country of Moab, just as the Lord had said.
6 Ó sì sin ín nínú àfonífojì ní ilẹ̀ Moabu, ní òdìkejì Beti-Peori, ṣùgbọ́n títí di òní yìí, kò sí ẹnìkan tí ó mọ ibi tí ibojì i rẹ̀ wà.
He buried him in a valley there in Moab that is opposite Beth-peor, but no one knows to this day where Moses' grave is.
7 Mose jẹ́ ẹni ọgọ́fà ọdún nígbà tí ó kú, síbẹ̀ ojú rẹ̀ kò ṣe bàìbàì bẹ́ẹ̀ ni agbára rẹ̀ kò dínkù.
Moses was 120 when he died, yet he was still seeing clearly and he was still strong.
8 Àwọn ọmọ Israẹli sọkún un Mose ní pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ Moabu ní ọgbọ̀n ọjọ́ títí di ìgbà tí ọjọ́ ẹkún àti ọ̀fọ̀ Mose parí.
The Israelites mourned for Moses on the plains of Moab for thirty days, until the time of mourning was over.
9 Joṣua ọmọ Nuni kún fún ẹ̀mí ọgbọ́n nítorí Mose ti gbọ́wọ́ ọ rẹ̀ lé e lórí. Àwọn ọmọ Israẹli sì fetí sí i wọ́n sì ṣe ohun tí Olúwa ti pàṣẹ fún Mose.
Joshua, son of Nun, was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had placed his hands on him to dedicate him. The Israelites paid attention to him, and followed the instructions the Lord had given to Moses.
10 Láti ìgbà náà kò sì sí wòlíì tí ó dìde ní Israẹli bí i Mose, ẹni tí Olúwa mọ̀ lójúkojú,
Since then there has never been a prophet in Israel like Moses who was the Lord's close friend.
11 tí ó ṣe gbogbo iṣẹ́ àmì àti iṣẹ́ ìyanu tí Olúwa rán an láti lọ ṣe ní Ejibiti sí Farao àti sí gbogbo àwọn ìránṣẹ́ ẹ rẹ̀ àti sí gbogbo ilẹ̀ náà.
The Lord sent him to carry out all the signs and miracles in Egypt to convince Pharaoh and his officials, and all the people in the country.
12 Nítorí kò sí ẹni tí ó tí ì fi gbogbo ọ̀rọ̀ agbára hàn, tàbí ṣe gbogbo ẹ̀rù ńlá tí Mose fihàn ní ojú gbogbo Israẹli.
Moses did these amazing things with tremendous power as the Israelites watched.
