< Deuteronomy 33 >
1 Èyí ni ìbùkún tí Mose ènìyàn Ọlọ́run bùkún fún àwọn ọmọ Israẹli kí ó tó kú.
Nowe this is the blessing wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death, and said,
2 Ó sì wí pé, “Olúwa ti Sinai wá, ó sì yọ sí wọn láti Seiri wá ó sì tàn án jáde láti òkè Parani wá. Ó ti ọ̀dọ̀ ẹgbẹgbàarùn-ún àwọn mímọ́ wá láti ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ̀ ni òfin kan a mú bí iná ti jáde fún wọn wá.
The Lord came from Sinai, and rose vp from Seir vnto them, and appeared clearely from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of Saints, and at his right hand a firie Lawe for them.
3 Nítòótọ́, ó fẹ́ràn àwọn ènìyàn an rẹ̀, gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́ wà ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀. Ní ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ ni wọ́n ti foríbalẹ̀, àti lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ ni wọ́n ti ń gba ọ̀rọ̀,
Though hee loue the people, yet all thy Saints are in thine handes: and they are humbled at thy foete, to receiue thy words.
4 òfin tí Mose fi fún wa, ìní ti ìjọ ènìyàn Jakọbu.
Moses commanded vs a Lawe for an inheritance of the Congregation of Iaakob.
5 Òun ni ọba lórí Jeṣuruni ní ìgbà tí olórí àwọn ènìyàn péjọpọ̀, pẹ̀lú àwọn ẹ̀yà Israẹli.
Then he was among the righteous people, as King, when the heades of the people, and the tribes of Israel were assembled.
6 “Jẹ́ kí Reubeni yè kí ó má ṣe kú, tàbí kí ènìyàn rẹ mọ níwọ̀n.”
Let Reuben liue, and not die, though his men be a small nomber.
7 Èyí ni ohun tí ó sọ nípa Juda: “Olúwa gbọ́ ohùn Juda kí o sì mú tọ àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ wá. Kí ọwọ́ rẹ̀ kí ó tó fún un, kí ó sì ṣe ìrànlọ́wọ́ fún lọ́wọ́ àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀!”
And thus he blessed Iudah, and said, Heare, O Lord, the voyce of Iudah, and bring him vnto his people: his hands shalbe sufficient for him, if thou helpe him against his enemies.
8 Ní ti Lefi ó wí pé, “Jẹ́ kí Tumimu àti Urimu rẹ kí ó wà pẹ̀lú ẹni mímọ́ rẹ. Ẹni tí ó dánwò ní Massa, ìwọ bá jà ní omi Meriba.
And of Leui he said, Let thy Thummim and thine Vrim be with thine Holy one, whome thou diddest proue in Massah, and didst cause him to striue at the waters of Meribah.
9 Ó wí fún baba àti ìyá rẹ pé, ‘Èmi kò buyì fún wọn.’ Kò mọ àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀, tàbí mọ àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n ó dúró lórí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀, ó sì pa májẹ̀mú rẹ̀ mọ́.
Who said vnto his father and to his mother, I haue not seene him, neither knewe he his brethren, nor knewe his owne children: for they obserued thy word, and kept thy couenant.
10 Ó kọ́ Jakọbu ní ìdájọ́ rẹ̀ àti Israẹli ní òfin rẹ̀. Ó mú tùràrí wá síwájú rẹ̀ àti ọ̀tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀ ẹbọ sísun sórí i pẹpẹ rẹ̀.
They shall teach Iaakob thy iudgements, and Israel thy Lawe: they shall put incense before thy face, and the burnt offring vpon thine altar.
11 Bùsi ohun ìní rẹ̀, Olúwa, kí o sì tẹ́wọ́gbà iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ rẹ̀. Lu ẹgbẹ́ àwọn tí ó dìde sí i; àwọn tí ó kórìíra rẹ̀, kí wọn kí ó má ṣe dìde mọ́.”
Blesse, O Lord, his substance, and accept the worke of his handes: smite through ye loynes of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not againe.
12 Ní ti Benjamini ó wí pé, “Jẹ́ kí olùfẹ́ Olúwa máa gbé ní àlàáfíà lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, òun a máa bò ó ní gbogbo ọjọ́, ẹni tí Olúwa fẹ́ràn yóò máa sinmi láàrín èjìká rẹ̀.”
Of Beniamin he said, The beloued of the Lord shall dwell in safetie by him: the Lord shall couer him all the day long, and dwell betweene his shoulders.
13 Ní ti Josẹfu ó wí pé, “Kí Olúwa bùkún ilẹ̀ rẹ, fún ohun iyebíye láti ọ̀run pẹ̀lú ìrì àti ibú tí ó ń bẹ níṣàlẹ̀;
And of Ioseph hee sayde, Blessed of the Lord is his land for the sweetenesse of heauen, for the dewe, and for the depth lying beneath,
14 àti fún èso iyebíye tí ọ̀run mú wá àti ti ohun iyebíye tí ń dàgbà ní oṣooṣù;
And for the sweete increase of the sunne, and for the sweete increase of the moone,
15 pẹ̀lú ohun pàtàkì òkè ńlá ìgbàanì àti fún ohun iyebíye ìgbà ayérayé;
And for the sweetenes of the top of the ancient mountaines, and for the sweetenes of the olde hilles,
16 Pẹ̀lú ohun iyebíye ayé àti ẹ̀kún un rẹ̀ àti fún ìfẹ́ ẹni tí ó ń gbé inú igbó. Jẹ́ kí gbogbo èyí sinmi lé orí Josẹfu, lórí àtàrí ẹni tí ó yàtọ̀ láàrín àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀.
And for the sweetenesse of the earth, and abundance thereof: and the good will of him that dwelt in the bushe, shall come vpon the head of Ioseph, and vpon the toppe of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
17 Ní ọláńlá ó dàbí àkọ́bí akọ màlúù; ìwo rẹ̀, ìwo àgbáǹréré ni. Pẹ̀lú wọn ni yóò fi ti àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè, pàápàá títí dé òpin ayé. Àwọn sì ni ẹgbẹẹgbàárùn mẹ́wàá Efraimu, àwọn sì ni ẹgbẹẹgbẹ̀rún Manase.”
His beautie shalbe like his first borne bullock, and his hornes as the hornes of an vnicorne: with them hee shall smite the people together, euen the endes of the world: these are also the ten thousands of Ephraim, and these are the thousands of Manasseh.
18 Ní ti Sebuluni ó wí pé, “Yọ̀ Sebuluni, ní ti ìjáde lọ rẹ, àti ìwọ Isakari, nínú àgọ́ rẹ.
And of Zebulun he sayd, Reioice, Zebulun, in thy going out, and thou Isshachar in thy tents.
19 Wọn yóò pe àwọn ènìyàn sórí òkè àti níbẹ̀ wọn yóò rú ẹbọ òdodo, wọn yóò mu nínú ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ Òkun, nínú ìṣúra tí ó pamọ́ nínú iyanrìn.”
They shall call ye people vnto the mountaine: there they shall offer the sacrifices of righteousnesse: for they shall sucke of the abundance of the sea, and of the treasures hid in the sand.
20 Ní ti Gadi ó wí pé, “Ìbùkún ni ẹni tí ó mú Gadi gbilẹ̀! Gadi ń gbé níbẹ̀ bí kìnnìún, ó sì fa apá ya, àní àtàrí.
Also of Gad he said, Blessed be hee that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, that catcheth for his praye the arme with the head.
21 Ó sì yan ilẹ̀ tí ó dára jù fún ara rẹ̀; ìpín olórí ni a sì fi fún un. Nígbà tí ó rí tí gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn péjọ, ó mú òdodo Olúwa ṣẹ, àti ìdájọ́ rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọ Israẹli.”
And hee looked to himselfe at the beginning, because there was a portion of the Lawe-giuer hid: yet hee shall come with the heades of the people, to execute the iustice of the Lord, and his iudgements with Israel.
22 Ní ti Dani ó wí pé, “Ọmọ kìnnìún ni Dani, tí ń fò láti Baṣani wá.”
And of Dan he said, Dan is a lions whelp: he shall leape from Bashan.
23 Ní ti Naftali ó wí pé, “Ìwọ Naftali, kún fún ojúrere Ọlọ́run àti ìbùkún Olúwa; yóò jogún ìhà ìwọ̀-oòrùn àti gúúsù.”
Also of Naphtali he sayd, O Naphtali, satisfied with fauour, and filled with the blessing of the Lord, possesse the West and the South.
24 Ní ti Aṣeri ó wí pé, “Ìbùkún ọmọ ni ti Aṣeri; jẹ́ kí ó rí ojúrere láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀ kí ó sì ri ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ sínú òróró.
And of Asher he saide, Asher shalbe blessed with children: he shalbe acceptable vnto his brethren, and shall dippe his foote in oyle.
25 Bàtà rẹ̀ yóò jẹ́ irin àti idẹ, agbára rẹ̀ yóò sì rí bí ọjọ́ rẹ̀.
Thy shooes shalbe yron and brasse, and thy strength shall continue as long as thou liuest.
26 “Kò sí ẹlòmíràn bí Ọlọ́run Jeṣuruni, ẹni tí ń gun ọ̀run fún ìrànlọ́wọ́ rẹ àti ní ojú ọ̀run nínú ọláńlá rẹ̀.
There is none like God, O righteous people, which rideth vpon the heauens for thine helpe, and on the cloudes in his glory.
27 Ọlọ́run ayérayé ni ibi ìsádi rẹ, àti ní ìsàlẹ̀ ni apá ayérayé wà. Yóò lé àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ níwájú rẹ, ó sì wí pé, ‘Ẹ máa parun!’
The eternall God is thy refuge, and vnder his armes thou art for euer: hee shall cast out the enemie before thee, and will say, Destroy them.
28 Israẹli nìkan yóò jókòó ní àlàáfíà, orísun Jakọbu nìkan ní ilẹ̀ ọkà àti ti ọtí wáìnì, níbi tí ọ̀run ti ń sẹ ìrì sílẹ̀.
Then Israel the fountaine of Iaakob shall dwell alone in safetie in a lande of wheat, and wine: also his heauens shall drop the dewe.
29 Ìbùkún ni fún ọ, Israẹli, ta ni ó dàbí rẹ, ẹni tí a gbàlà láti ọ̀dọ̀ Olúwa? Òun ni asà àti ìrànwọ́ rẹ̀ àti idà ọláńlá rẹ̀. Àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ yóò tẹríba fún ọ, ìwọ yóò sì tẹ ibi gíga wọn mọ́lẹ̀.”
Blessed art thou, O Israel: who is like vnto thee, O people saued by the Lord, the shielde of thine helpe, and which is the sword of thy glorie? therefore thine enemies shall bee in subiection to thee, and thou shalt tread vpon their hie places.
