For whoever does these things is detestable to Adonai. Because of these abominations, Adonai your God drives them out from before you.

For these nations that you shall dispossess sh'ma ·hear obey· those who practice sorcery and to diviners; but as for you, Adonai your God has not allowed you so to do.
15 Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ yóò gbé wòlíì kan dìde gẹ́gẹ́ bí èmi láàrín àwọn arákùnrin rẹ. Tìrẹ ni kí o gbọ́.
Adonai your God will raise up to you a prophet from among you, of your brothers, like me. You shall sh'ma ·hear obey· him.

This is according to all that you desired of Adonai your God in Horeb [Desert] in the day of the assembly, saying, “Let me not sh'ma ·hear obey· again Adonai my God’s voice, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die.”
17 Olúwa sì wí fún mi pé, “Ohun tí wọ́n sọ dára.

Whoever does not honor the words of the Prophet will give an account to God. The prophet's words are equal authority to God's words. It shall happen, that whoever will not sh'ma ·hear obey· my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20 Ṣùgbọ́n bí wòlíì kan bá kùgbù sọ ọ̀rọ̀ kan tí èmi kò paláṣẹ fún un láti sọ ní orúkọ mi tàbí wòlíì tí ó sọ̀rọ̀ ní orúkọ ọlọ́run mìíràn, irú wòlíì bẹ́ẹ̀ ní láti kú.”
But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not enjoined him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other deities, that same prophet shall die.”
21 Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ lè wí ní ọkàn rẹ pé, “Báwo ni àwa yóò ṣe mọ ọ̀rọ̀ tí Olúwa kò sọ?”
You may say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which Adonai has not spoken?”
22 Nígbà tí ohun tí wòlíì bá sọ ní orúkọ Olúwa kò bá wá sí ìmúṣẹ tàbí jẹ́ òtítọ́, ìyẹn ni ọ̀rọ̀ tí Olúwa kò sọ, irú wòlíì bẹ́ẹ̀ tí sọ láìwádìí. Kí ẹ má ṣe bẹ̀rù rẹ̀.
When a prophet speaks in Adonai’s name, if the thing does not follow, nor happen, that is the thing which Adonai has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.
