< Deuteronomy 15 >

1 Ní òpin ọdún méje méje, ẹ̀yin gbọdọ̀ máa yọ̀ǹda àwọn gbèsè.
Every seven years you shall make a release.
2 Báyìí ni kí ẹ máa ṣe é. Gbogbo ẹni tí wọ́n jẹ ní gbèsè gbọdọ̀ fojú fo gbèsè tí ó ti yá ará Israẹli ènìyàn rẹ̀. Kò gbọdọ̀ béèrè ohun náà, lọ́dọ̀ ará Israẹli ènìyàn rẹ̀ tàbí lọ́dọ̀ arákùnrin rẹ̀: nítorí pé a ti kéde àkókò Olúwa láti fojú fo gbèsè.
And this [is] the ordinance of the release: you shall remit every private debt which your neighbor owes you, and you shall not ask payment of it from your brother; for it has been called a release to the Lord your God.
3 Ẹ lè béèrè ìsanpadà lọ́dọ̀ àjèjì. Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ fa igi lé gbèsè yówù kó jẹ́ tí arákùnrin yín jẹ yín.
Of a stranger you shall ask again whatever he has of your, but to your brother you shall remit his debt to you.
4 Ṣùgbọ́n kò sí ẹni tí yóò tọ́ sí nínú yín, nítorí pé Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín yóò bùkún un yín lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀ nínú ilẹ̀ náà tí ó ń mú un yín lọ láti gbà bí ìní yín.
For [thus] there shall not be a poor person in the midst of you, for the Lord your God will surely bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you by inheritance, that you should inherit it.
5 Kìkì bí ẹ bá gbọ́rọ̀ sí àṣẹ Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín tí ẹ sì kíyèsára láti máa rìn nínú gbogbo àṣẹ wọ̀nyí, tí èmi ń pa fún un yín lónìí.
And if you shall indeed listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep and do all these commandments, as many as I charge you this day,
6 Nítorí pé Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín yóò bùkún un yín bí ó ti ṣèlérí, ẹ̀yin yóò sì máa yá ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ orílẹ̀-èdè ẹ kì yóò sì tọrọ. Ẹ ó ṣàkóso ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ orílẹ̀-èdè, ṣùgbọ́n kò sí orílẹ̀-èdè tí yóò lè jẹ ọba lé e yín lórí.
(for the Lord your God has blessed you in the way of which he spoke to you, ) then you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.
7 Bí tálákà kan bá wà láàrín àwọn arákùnrin yín ní èyíkéyìí àwọn ìlú, ilẹ̀ náà tí Olúwa yín yóò fún un yín. Ẹ má ṣe ṣe àìláàánú, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí ẹ má ṣe háwọ́ sí arákùnrin yín tí ó jẹ́ tálákà.
And if there shall be in the midst of you a poor [man] of your brethren in one of your cities in the land, which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not harden your heart, neither shall you by any means close up your hand from your brother who is in lack.
8 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ lawọ́ kí ẹ sì fi tọkàntọkàn yá wọn ní ohun tí wọ́n nílò.
You shall surely open your hands to him, and shall lend to him as much as he wants according to his need.
9 Ẹ ṣọ́ra kí èrò búburú kan má ṣe sí nínú àyà rẹ wí pé, “Ọdún keje tí í ṣe ọdún ìyọ̀ǹda gbèsè ti súnmọ́,” nípa bẹ́ẹ̀, ojú rẹ a sì burú sí arákùnrin rẹ tálákà, tí ìwọ kò sì fun ní nǹkan, o kò sì fun ní nǹkan kan. Òun a si kígbe pe Olúwa nítorí rẹ, a si di ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ fún ọ.
Take heed to yourself that there be not a secret thing in your heart, an iniquity, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, draws near; and your eye shall be evil to your brother that is in lack, and you shall not give to him, and he shall cry against you to the Lord, and there shall be great sin in you.
10 Fún un tọkàntọkàn, láìsí ìkùnsínú, nítorí èyí, Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ yóò bùkún fún ọ nínú iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ rẹ, àti gbogbo ìdáwọ́lé rẹ.
You shall surely give to him, and you shall lend him as much as he wants, according as he is in need; and you shall not grudge in your heart as you give to him, because on this account the Lord your God will bless you in all your works, and in all things on which you shall lay your hand.
11 A kò lè fẹ́ tálákà kù ní ilẹ̀ náà ní ìgbà gbogbo, mo pàṣẹ fún un yín láti lawọ́ sí àwọn arákùnrin yín, sí àwọn tálákà àti sí àwọn aláìní, ní ilẹ̀ ẹ yín.
For the poor shall not fail off your land, therefore I charge you to do this thing, saying, You shall surely open your hands to your poor brother, and to him that is distressed upon your land.
12 Bí Heberu ara yín kan, yálà ọkùnrin tàbí obìnrin bá ta ara rẹ̀ fún ọ, tí ó sì sìn ọ́ fún ọdún mẹ́fà. Ní ọdún keje, jẹ́ kí ó di òmìnira.
And if your brother [or sister], a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, be sold to you, he shall serve you six years, and in the seventh year you shall send him out free from you.
13 Nígbà tí ó bá dá a sílẹ̀ má ṣe jẹ́ kí ó lọ lọ́wọ́ òfo.
And when you shall send him out free from you, you shall not send him out empty.
14 Fi tọkàntọkàn fún un láti inú agbo ewúrẹ́ rẹ, ilẹ̀ ìpakà rẹ, àti ibi ìfúntí rẹ. Fún un gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ ti bùkún fún ọ tó.
You shall give him provision for the way from your flock, and from your corn, and from your wine; as the Lord your God has blessed you, you shall give to him.
15 Ẹ rántí pé ẹ ti fi ìgbà kan jẹ́ ẹrú ní Ejibiti, Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín sì rà yín padà, ìdí nìyí tí mo fi pa àṣẹ yìí fún un yín lónìí.
And you shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God redeemed you from thence; therefore I charge you to do this thing.
16 Ṣùgbọ́n bí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ bá sọ fún ọ pé, “Èmi kò fẹ́ fi ọ́ sílẹ̀,” nítorí pé ó fẹ́ràn ìwọ àti ìdílé rẹ, tí ó sì tẹ́ ọ lọ́rùn,
And if he should say to you, I will not go out from you, because he continues to love you and your house, because he is well with you;
17 kí ìwọ kí ó mú ìlu kan lu etí rẹ̀ mọ́ ara ìlẹ̀kùn, yóò sì di ẹrú rẹ láéláé. Bẹ́ẹ̀ náà ni kí o ṣe sí ìránṣẹ́ ẹrúbìnrin rẹ.
then you shall take an awl, and bore his ear through to the door, and he shall be your servant for ever; and in like manner shall you do to your maidservant.
18 Má ṣe kà á sí ohun ìnira láti dá ẹrú rẹ sílẹ̀, nítorí ìsìnrú rẹ̀ fún ọ, ní ọdún mẹ́fà náà tó ìlọ́po méjì iṣẹ́ alágbàṣe, Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ yóò bùkún fún ọ nínú gbogbo ìdáwọ́lé rẹ.
It shall not seem hard to you when they are sent out free from you, because [your servant] has served you six years according to the annual hire of a hireling; so the Lord your God shall bless you in all things whatever you may do.
19 Gbogbo àkọ́bí tí o jẹ́ akọ nínú agbo màlúù rẹ ni kí o yà sọ́tọ̀ fún Olúwa, àti nínú agbo ewúrẹ́ bákan náà. Ẹ má ṣe fi àkọ́bí màlúù yín ṣiṣẹ́ rárá. Má ṣe rẹ́ irun àkọ́bí àgùntàn rẹ pẹ̀lú.
Every firstborn that shall be born among your kine and your sheep, you shall sanctify the males to the Lord your God; you shall not work with your firstborn calf, and you shall not shear the firstborn of your sheep.
20 Ní ọdọọdún ni kí ìwọ àti ìdílé rẹ máa jẹ ẹ́ níwájú Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín níbi tí Òun yóò yàn.
You shall eat it before the Lord year by year in the place which the Lord your God shall choose, you and your house.
21 Bí ẹran ọ̀sìn kan bá ní àbùkù: bóyá ó yarọ, tàbí fọ́jú, tàbí tí ó ní èyíkéyìí àbùkù tó burú. Ẹ kò gbọdọ̀ fi rú ẹbọ sí Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín.
And if there be in it a blemish, if it be lame or blind, an evil blemish, you shall not sacrifice it to the Lord your God.
22 Ẹ jẹ ẹ́ ní ìlú u yín. Àti ẹni tí a kà sí mímọ́ àti aláìmọ́ ni ó lè jẹ ẹ́ bí ìgbà tí a ń jẹ èsúró tàbí àgbọ̀nrín.
You shall eat it in your cities; the unclean in you and the clean shall eat it in like manner, as the doe or the stag.
23 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin kò gbọdọ̀ jẹ ẹ̀jẹ̀, ẹ dà á síta bí omi.
Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it out on the earth as water.
