< Daniel 6 >
1 Ó dára lójú Dariusi láti yan ọgọ́fà àwọn baálẹ̀ sórí ìjọba,
It pleased Daryavesh to set over the kingdom one hundred twenty satraps, who should be throughout the whole kingdom;
2 pẹ̀lú alákòóso mẹ́ta, Daniẹli sì jẹ́ ọ̀kan nínú wọn, kí àwọn baálẹ̀ lè wá máa jẹ́ ààbọ̀ fún wọn, kí ọba má ba à ní ìpalára.
and over them three administrators, of whom Daniel was one; that these satraps might give account to them, and that the king might not suffer loss.
3 Daniẹli ya ara rẹ̀ sọ́tọ̀ láàrín àwọn alákòóso àti àwọn baálẹ̀ nítorí ẹ̀mí tí ó tayọ wà lára rẹ̀ dé bi pé ọba sì ń gbèrò láti fi ṣe olórí i gbogbo ìjọba.
Then this Daniel was distinguished above the administrators and the satraps, because an extraordinary spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
4 Nítorí èyí, gbogbo àwọn alákòóso àti àwọn baálẹ̀ ń gbèrò láti wá ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ kà sí Daniẹli lọ́rùn nínú ètò ìṣèjọba rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n wọn kò rí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ kankan kà sí i lọ́rùn, wọn kò rí ìwà ìbàjẹ́ kankan tí ó ṣe, nítorí ó jẹ́ olóòtítọ́ kò sì ní ìwà ìjáfara.
Then the administrators and the satraps sought to find a charge against Daniel regarding the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful. Neither was there any error or fault found in him.
5 Nígbẹ̀yìn ni àwọn ọkùnrin wọ̀nyí sọ wí pé, “Àwa kò ní rí ìdí kankan láti kà ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ sí Daniẹli lọ́rùn, àfi èyí tí ó bá ní í ṣe pẹ̀lú òfin Ọlọ́run rẹ̀.”
Then these men said, "We will not find any charge against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God."
6 Nígbà náà ni àwọn alákòóso àti àwọn baálẹ̀ lọ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ikọ̀ sí ọ̀dọ̀ ọba, wọ́n wí pé, “Ìwọ Dariusi ọba, kí o pẹ́!
Then these administrators and satraps assembled together to the king, and said this to him, "King Daryavesh, live forever.
7 Àwọn alákòóso ọba, ìjòyè, baálẹ̀, olùdámọ̀ràn, àti àwọn olórí gbìmọ̀ pọ̀ wí pé kí ọba kéde òfin kan pé ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá gba àdúrà sí Ọlọ́run tàbí ènìyàn kankan fún ọgbọ̀n ọjọ́, yàtọ̀ fún ìwọ ọba, a ó ju ẹni náà sí inú ihò kìnnìún.
All the administrators of the kingdom, the deputies and the satraps, the counselors and the governors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a strong decree, that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, except of you, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
8 Nísinsin yìí, ìwọ ọba, gbé òfin yìí jáde, kí o sì kọ ọ́ sínú ìwé kí a má ba à yí i padà ní ìbámu pẹ̀lú òfin àwọn Media àti Persia, èyí tí kò ní le è parẹ́.”
Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it not be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be changed."
9 Nígbà náà, ni Dariusi ọba fi ọwọ́ sí ìwé àṣẹ náà.
Therefore king Daryavesh signed the writing and the decree.
10 Lóòótọ́, Daniẹli mọ̀ pé a ti fi ọwọ́ sí ìwé òfin náà, síbẹ̀ ó wọ ilé e rẹ̀ lọ, nínú yàrá òkè, ó ṣí fèrèsé èyí tí ó kọjú sí Jerusalẹmu sílẹ̀. Ó kúnlẹ̀ lórí orúnkún un rẹ̀ ní ẹ̀ẹ̀mẹ́ta lójoojúmọ́, ó gbàdúrà, ó fi ọpẹ́ fún Ọlọ́run gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìṣe rẹ̀ tẹ́lẹ̀.
When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house (now his windows were open in his chamber toward Jerusalem) and he kneeled on his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before.
11 Nígbà náà ni, àwọn ọlọ̀tẹ̀ yìí kó ara wọn jọ, wọ́n sì rí Daniẹli tí ó ń gba àdúrà, ó sì ń bẹ̀bẹ̀ fún àánú lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run.
Then these men assembled together, and found Daniel making petition and petition before his God.
12 Wọ́n lọ sí iwájú ọba, wọ́n sì rán ọba létí nípa òfin tí ó ṣe pé, “Ìwọ kò ha fi ọwọ́ sí òfin wí pé ní ìwọ̀n ọgbọ̀n ọjọ́ ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá gba àdúrà sí Ọlọ́run tàbí ènìyàn, láì bá ṣe ìwọ ọba, a ó gbé e jù sínú ihò kìnnìún?” Ọba sì dáhùn pé, “Àṣẹ náà dúró síbẹ̀, ní ìbámu pẹ̀lú òfin àwọn ará Media àti Persia, èyí tí a kò le è parẹ́.”
Then they came near, and spoke before the king concerning the king's decree. "Haven't you signed a decree, that every man who shall make petition to any god or man within thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?" The king answered, "The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be changed."
13 Nígbà náà, ni wọ́n sọ fún ọba pé, “Daniẹli, ọ̀kan lára ìgbèkùn Juda, kò ka ìwọ ọba sí, tàbí àṣẹ ẹ̀ rẹ tí o fi ọwọ́ sí. Òun sì tún ń gba àdúrà ní ẹ̀ẹ̀mẹ́ta lójúmọ́.”
Then they answered and said before the king, "That Daniel, who is of the children of the captivity of Judah, doesn't regard you, O king, nor the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day."
14 Nígbà tí ọba gbọ́ èyí, inú rẹ̀ bàjẹ́ gidigidi; ó pinnu láti kó Daniẹli yọ, títí oòrùn fi rọ̀, ó sa gbogbo ipá a rẹ̀ láti gba Daniẹli sílẹ̀.
Then the king, when he heard these words, was very displeased, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him. And he labored until the going down of the sun to rescue him.
15 Nígbà náà, ni àwọn ọlọ̀tẹ̀ wọ̀nyí kó ara wọn jọ wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ ọba, wọ́n sì wí fún un pé, “Ìwọ ọba rántí pé, ní ìbámu pẹ̀lú òfin àwọn Media àti Persia kò sí àṣẹ tàbí ìkéde tí ọba ṣe tí a le è yí i padà.”
Then these men assembled together to the king, and said to the king, "Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians, that no decree nor statute which the king establishes may be changed."
16 Nígbà náà, ni ọba pàṣẹ, wọ́n sì mú Daniẹli, wọ́n sì sọ ọ́ sínú ihò kìnnìún. Ọba sì sọ fún Daniẹli pé, “Kí Ọlọ́run rẹ tí ìwọ ń sìn nígbà gbogbo kí ó gbà ọ́!”
Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spoke and said to Daniel, "Your God whom you serve continually, he will deliver you."
17 A sì gbé òkúta kan wá, wọ́n sì fi dí ẹnu ihò náà, ọba sì dì í pa pẹ̀lú òrùka èdìdì rẹ̀ àti pẹ̀lú òrùka àwọn ọlọ́lá rẹ̀, nítorí kí a má ṣe yí ohunkóhun padà nítorí i Daniẹli.
A stone was brought, and placed on the opening of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that nothing might be changed concerning Daniel.
18 Nígbà náà ni ọba padà sí ààfin rẹ̀, ó sì lo gbogbo òru náà láì jẹun, kò sì gbọ́ orin kankan, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò sì le è sùn ní òru ọjọ́ náà.
Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting; neither were instruments of music brought before him. And his sleep fled from him.
19 Ní òwúrọ̀ kùtùkùtù, ni ọba dìde ó sì sáré lọ sí ibi ihò kìnnìún náà.
Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste to the den of lions.
20 Nígbà tí ó súnmọ́ ibi ihò náà ní ibi tí Daniẹli wà, ó pe Daniẹli pẹ̀lú ìtara pé, “Daniẹli, ìránṣẹ́ Ọlọ́run alààyè, ṣé Ọlọ́run rẹ tí ìwọ ń sìn tọ̀sán tòru, lè gbà ọ́ lọ́wọ́ kìnnìún bí?”
When he came near to the den to Daniel, he cried with a lamentable voice. The king spoke and said to Daniel, "Daniel, servant of the living God. Is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?"
21 Daniẹli sì dáhùn wí pé, “Ọba kí ẹ pẹ́!
Then said Daniel to the king, "O king, live forever.
22 Ọlọ́run mi rán angẹli i rẹ̀, ó sì dí àwọn kìnnìún lẹ́nu. Wọn kò le è pa mí lára, nítorí a rí mi gẹ́gẹ́ bí aláìlẹ́ṣẹ̀ ní iwájú rẹ̀. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi kò hu ìwà ìbàjẹ́ kan níwájú rẹ ìwọ ọba.”
My God has sent his angel, and has shut the lions' mouths, and they have not hurt me; because before him innocence was found in me; and also before you, O king, have I done no wrong."
23 Inú ọba dùn gidigidi, ó sì pàṣẹ kí a mú Daniẹli jáde wá láti inú ihò. Nígbà tí a mú Daniẹli jáde nínú ihò, kò sí ojú ọgbẹ́ kan ní ara rẹ̀, nítorí tí ó gbẹ́kẹ̀lé Ọlọ́run rẹ̀.
Then was the king exceedingly glad, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.
24 Ọba pàṣẹ pé, kí a mú àwọn alátakò Daniẹli wá, kí a jù wọ́n sí inú ihò kìnnìún, pẹ̀lú ìyàwó àti àwọn ọmọ wọn. Kí wọn tó dé ìsàlẹ̀ ihò, kìnnìún lágbára lórí i wọn, wọ́n sì fọ́ gbogbo egungun wọn.
The king commanded, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces, before they came to the bottom of the den.
25 Nígbà náà ni Dariusi ọba kọ̀wé sí gbogbo ènìyàn orílẹ̀-èdè, àti gbogbo jákèjádò ilẹ̀ náà: “Kí ìre yín máa pọ̀ sí i!
Then king Daryavesh wrote to all the peoples, nations, and languages, who dwell in all the earth: "Peace be multiplied to you.
26 “Mo gbé àṣẹ kan jáde wí pé, ní gbogbo agbègbè ìjọba mi, gbogbo ènìyàn gbọdọ̀ bẹ̀rù, kí wọn kí ó sì bọ̀wọ̀ fún Ọlọ́run Daniẹli.
I make a decree, that in all the dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel; for he is the living God, and steadfast forever. His kingdom shall not be destroyed; and his dominion shall be to the end.
27 Ó ń yọ ni, ó sì ń gbani là;
He delivers and rescues, and he works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions."
28 Daniẹli sì ṣe rere ní àkókò ìjọba Dariusi àti àkókò ìjọba Kirusi ti Persia.
So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Daryavesh, and in the reign of Koresh the Persian.
