Colossians 1
1 Paulu, aposteli Jesu Kristi nípa ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run àti Timotiu arákùnrin wa,
Paul, an emissary of Messiah Yeshua through the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
2 Sí àwọn ẹni mímọ́ àti àwọn arákùnrin àti arábìnrin nínú Kristi tí wọ́n ń gbé ní ìlú Kolose: Oore-ọ̀fẹ́ àti àlàáfíà fún un yín láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run Baba wa.
to the holy ones and faithful brothers in Messiah at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
3 Nígbàkígbà tí a bá ń gbàdúrà fún un yín ni a máa ń dúpẹ́ lọ́wọ́ Ọlọ́run Baba Olúwa wa Jesu Kristi.
We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, praying always for you,
4 Nítorí a ti gbúròó ìgbàgbọ́ yín nínú Jesu Kristi, àti bí ẹ ti ṣe fẹ́ràn gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́.
having heard of your faith in Messiah Yeshua and of the love which you have toward all the holy ones,
5 Ìgbàgbọ́ àti ìfẹ́ tí ń sàn nínú ìrètí tí a gbé pamọ́ fún un yín ní ọ̀run èyí tí ẹ̀yin sì ti gbọ́ tẹ́lẹ̀ nínú ọ̀rọ̀ òtítọ́ ìyìnrere náà,
because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News
6 èyí tí ó ti dé ọ̀dọ̀ yín. Káàkiri àgbáyé ni ìyìnrere yìí ń so èso tí ó sì ń dàgbà, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti ń ṣe láàrín yín láti ọjọ́ náà tí ẹ ti gbọ́ ọ, tí ẹ sì ní ìmọ̀ oore-ọ̀fẹ́ Ọlọ́run nínú gbogbo òtítọ́ rẹ̀.
which has come to you, even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth,
7 Ẹ̀yin ti kọ́ ọ lọ́dọ̀ Epafira, ìránṣẹ́ ẹlẹgbẹ́ wa olùfẹ́, ẹni tí ó jẹ́ olóòtítọ́ ìránṣẹ́ Kristi ní ipò wa.
even as you learned from Epaphras our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Messiah on your behalf,
8 Ẹni ti ó sọ fún wa nípa ìfẹ́ yín nínú ẹ̀mí.
who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
9 Nítorí ìdí èyí, láti ọjọ́ tí a ti gbọ́ nípa yín, a kò sinmi láti máa gbàdúrà fún yin, tí a sì ń gbàdúrà pé kí Ọlọ́run fi ìmọ̀ ìfẹ́ rẹ̀ kún yín nípasẹ̀ ọgbọ́n àti òye gbogbo tí ń ṣe ti Ẹ̀mí.
For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
10 Àwa sì ń gbàdúrà yìí kí ẹ lè gbé irú ìgbé ayé tó yẹ fún Olúwa kí ẹ sì máa wu ú ní gbogbo ọ̀nà, kí ẹ sì máa so èso rere gbogbo, kí ẹ sì máa dàgbà nínú ìmọ̀ Ọlọ́run,
that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God,
11 pé kí a lè fi ipa gbogbo sọ yín di alágbára gẹ́gẹ́ bí agbára rẹ̀ àti ògo rẹ̀, kí ó lè ṣe é ṣe fún un yín láti máa tẹ̀síwájú nínú sùúrù àti ìpamọ́ra pẹ̀lú ayọ̀.
strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy,
12 Kí a máa dúpẹ́ nígbà gbogbo lọ́wọ́ Baba, ẹni tí ó kà yín láti jẹ́ alábápín nínú ogún àwọn ẹni mímọ́ nínú ìjọba ìmọ́lẹ̀.
giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the holy ones in light,
13 Nítorí tí ó ti já wa gbà kúrò nínú agbára òkùnkùn ó sì mú wa wá sí ìjọba Ọmọ tí ó fẹ́ràn.
who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love,
14 Nínú ẹni tí a ní ìràpadà, àti ìdáríjì ẹ̀ṣẹ̀.
in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.
15 Kristi ni àwòrán Ọlọ́run tí a kò le rí, àkọ́bí gbogbo ẹ̀dá.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
16 Nítorí nípa rẹ̀ ní a dá ohun gbogbo: àwọn ohun tí ń bẹ ní ọ̀run àti ní ayé, ohun tí a rí àti èyí tí a kò rí, wọn ìbá ṣe ìtẹ́, tàbí agbára, tàbí àṣẹ, nípasẹ̀ rẹ̀ ni a dá ohun gbogbo àti fún un.
For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him.
17 Ó ti wà ṣáájú kí ohunkóhun tó wà, nínú rẹ̀ ni a sì so ohun gbogbo papọ̀ ṣọ̀kan.
He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.
18 Òun ni orí fún ara, èyí tí í ṣe ìjọ; òun ni ìbẹ̀rẹ̀ àti àkọ́bí nínú àwọn òkú, pé nínú ohun gbogbo kí òun lè ní ipò tí ó ga jùlọ nínú ohunkóhun.
He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 Nítorí ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run ni pé kí gbogbo ẹ̀kúnrẹ́rẹ́ òun tìkára rẹ̀ lè máa gbé nínú rẹ̀.
For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him,
20 Àti nípasẹ̀ rẹ̀ láti bá ohun gbogbo làjà àwọn nǹkan tí ń bẹ láyé àti èyí tí ń bẹ ní ọ̀run, nípa mímú àlàáfíà wá nípasẹ̀ ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ̀, tí a ta sílẹ̀ lórí igi àgbélébùú.
and through him to reconcile all things to himself by him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.
21 Ẹ̀yin ya ara yín nípá kúrò lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run nígbà kan rí, ẹ jẹ́ ọ̀tá nínú ọkàn yín nítorí ìwà búburú yín.
You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil deeds,
22 Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí, ó ti bá yín làjà nípa ara Kristi nípa ikú láti mú un yín lọ sí iwájú rẹ̀ ní mímọ́, aláìlábàwọ́n àti kúrò nínú ìdálẹ́bi,
yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without defect and blameless before him,
23 bí ẹ̀yin bá dúró nínú ìgbàgbọ́ yín, tí ẹ fi ẹsẹ̀ múlẹ̀, tí ẹ sì dúró ṣinṣin, láláìyẹsẹ̀ kúrò nínú ìrètí ti ìyìnrere ti ẹ̀yin ti gbọ́, èyí tí a ti wàásù rẹ̀ fún gbogbo ẹ̀dá lábẹ́ ọ̀run, àti èyí ti èmi Paulu ṣe ìránṣẹ́ fún.
if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, was made a servant.
24 Nísinsin yìí èmi ń yọ̀ nínú ìjìyà fún un yín. Inú mi sì dùn, nítorí mo ń ṣe ìrànlọ́wọ́ láti jẹ ìyà tó ṣẹ́kù nínú ìyà Kristi fún ara rẹ̀, èyí tí ì ṣe ìjọ.
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Messiah in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly,
25 Nínú èyí tí a fi ṣe ìránṣẹ́ fún gẹ́gẹ́ bí iṣẹ́ ìríjú Ọlọ́run tí a fi fún mi fún yín láti mú ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run ṣẹ.
of which I was made a servant according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you to fulfill the word of God,
26 Ó ti pa àṣírí ìjìnlẹ̀ yìí mọ́ fún ayérayé àti láti ìrandíran. Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìfẹ́ ọkàn rẹ̀, ó ti fihàn fún àwọn ẹni mímọ́. (aiōn g165)
the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his holy ones, (aiōn g165)
27 Àwọn ẹni tí Ọlọ́run yàn láti fihàn láàrín àwọn aláìkọlà nípa ọ̀rọ̀ ògo ohun ìjìnlẹ̀ yìí, èyí tí í ṣe Kristi ìrètí ògo nínú yín.
to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Messiah in you, the hope of glory.
28 Àwa ń wàásù rẹ̀, a ń gbani níyànjú a sì ń kọ olúkúlùkù ènìyàn ní ọgbọ́n gbogbo, kí a lè mú olúkúlùkù dé ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run ní pípé nínú Kristi.
We proclaim him, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Messiah Yeshua;
29 Sí èyí sì ni èmi ń ṣe làálàá, ti mo sì ń làkàkà pẹ̀lú gbogbo agbára rẹ̀, èyí tó ń ṣiṣẹ́ nínú mi.
for which I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.
