< Amos 4 >
1 Ẹ gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ yìí, ẹ̀yin màlúù Baṣani lórí òkè Samaria, ẹ̀yin obìnrin tí ó ń ni tálákà lára, tí ó ń tẹ aláìní mọ́lẹ̀, tí ó wí fún ọkọ rẹ̀, “Gbé wá kí a sì mu!”
Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, that oppress the poor, that crush the needy, that say unto their lords, Bring, and let us drink.
2 Olúwa Olódùmarè ti fi ìwà mímọ́ rẹ̀ búra: “Àkókò náà yóò dé nítòótọ́ nígbà tí a ó fi ìwọ̀ mú un yín lọ, ẹni tí ó kẹ́yìn pẹ̀lú ìwọ̀ ẹja.
The Lord Jehovah hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that they shall take you away with hooks, and your residue with fish-hooks.
3 Ẹni kọ̀ọ̀kan yín yóò jáde lọ gba àárín odi yíya a ó sì lé e yín sí Harmoni,” ni Olúwa wí.
And ye shall go out at the breaches, every one straight before her; and ye shall cast [yourselves] into Harmon, saith Jehovah.
4 “Ẹ lọ sí Beteli láti dẹ́ṣẹ̀; ẹ lọ sí Gilgali kí ẹ sì dẹ́ṣẹ̀ sí i. Ẹ mú ẹbọ sísun yín láràárọ̀ wá, ìdámẹ́wàá yín ní ọdọọdún mẹ́ta.
Come to Beth-el, and transgress; to Gilgal, [and] multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, [and] your tithes every three days;
5 Kí ẹ mú ọ̀rẹ́ ìdúpẹ́ ìyẹ̀fun ìwúkàrà ti a sun kí ẹ sì mú ọrẹ àtinúwá lọ fi wọ́n yangàn, ẹ̀yin ènìyàn Israẹli, nítorí èyí ni ẹ fẹ́ láti ṣe,” ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí.
and offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened, and proclaim freewill-offerings and publish them: for this pleaseth you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah.
6 “Èmi fún un yín ní mímọ́ eyín ní gbogbo ìlú yín, àti àìní oúnjẹ ní gbogbo ibùgbé yín, síbẹ̀, ẹ̀yin kò yípadà sọ́dọ̀ mi,” ni Olúwa wí.
And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places; yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
7 “Àti pẹ̀lú mo mú òjò dúró nígbà tí ìkórè ku oṣù mẹ́ta. Mo rán òjò sí ibùgbé kan ṣùgbọ́n kò rọ̀ sí ìlú mìíràn. Oko kan ní òjò; àwọn mìíràn kò ní ó sì gbẹ.
And I also have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
8 Àwọn ènìyàn ń rìn láti ìlú kan sí ìlú mìíràn fún omi wọn kò rí mu tẹ́ wọn lọ́rùn, síbẹ̀ ẹ̀yin kò padà sí ọ̀dọ̀ mi,” ni Olúwa wí.
So two or three cities wandered unto one city to drink water, and were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
9 “Lọ́pọ̀ ìgbà ni mo kọlu ọgbà àti ọgbà àjàrà yín mo fi ìrẹ̀dànù àti ìmúwòdù lù wọ́n. Eṣú sì jẹ igi ọ̀pọ̀tọ́ àti igi olifi yín, síbẹ̀ ẹ̀yin kò yípadà sí mi,” ni Olúwa wí.
I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: the multitude of your gardens and your vineyards and your fig-trees and your olive-trees hath the palmer-worm devoured: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
10 “Mo rán àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn sí i yín bí mo ti ṣe sí Ejibiti. Mo fi idà pa àwọn ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin yín. Pẹ̀lú àwọn ẹṣin tí a kó ní ìgbèkùn. Mo kún imú yín fún òórùn ibùdó yín, síbẹ̀ ẹ̀yin kò yípadà sí mi,” ni Olúwa wí.
I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have carried away your horses; and I have made the stench of your camp to come up even into your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
11 “Mo ti bì ṣubú nínú yín, bí Ọlọ́run ti bi Sodomu àti Gomorra ṣubú ẹ̀yin sì dàbí ògúnná tí a fa yọ kúrò nínú iná, síbẹ̀ ẹ̀yin kò yípadà sí mi,” ni Olúwa wí.
I have overthrown [cities] among you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a brand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
12 “Nítorí náà, èyí ni ohun tí èmi yóò ṣe sí i yín, Israẹli, àti nítorí tí èmi ó ṣe èyí sí i yín, ẹ múra láti pàdé Ọlọ́run yín, ẹ̀yin Israẹli.”
Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel; [and] because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
13 Ẹni tí ó dá àwọn òkè tí ó dá afẹ́fẹ́ tí ó sì fi èrò rẹ̀ hàn sí ènìyàn, ẹni tí ó yípadà sí òkùnkùn tí ó sì tẹ ibi gíga ayé. Olúwa Ọlọ́run àwọn ọmọ-ogun ni orúkọ rẹ̀.
For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought; that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth—Jehovah, the God of hosts, is his name.
