< Acts 4 >
1 Bí wọn sì tí ń bá àwọn ènìyàn sọ̀rọ̀, àwọn àlùfáà àti olórí ẹ̀ṣọ́ tẹmpili àti àwọn Sadusi dìde sí wọn.
When are speaking now they to the people came upon them the (priests *NK(O)*) and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees,
2 Inú bí wọn, nítorí tí wọn kọ́ àwọn ènìyàn, wọ́n sì ń wàásù àjíǹde kúrò nínú òkú nínú Jesu.
being distressed because of teaching of theirs to the people and [their] proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection (that *NK(o)*) out from [the] dead;
3 Wọn sì nawọ́ mú wọn, wọn sì tì wọ́n mọ́ ilé túbú títí ó fi dí ọjọ́ kejì; nítorí tí alẹ́ ti lẹ́ tan.
and they laid on them the hands and put [them] in custody until the next day; it was for evening already.
4 Ṣùgbọ́n ọ̀pọ̀ àwọn tí ó gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ náà gbàgbọ́; iye àwọn ọkùnrin náà sì tó ẹgbẹ̀rún márùn-ún.
Many however of those having heard the word believed; and became the number of the men (about *N(k)O*) thousand five.
5 Ó sì ṣe ní ọjọ́ kejì, àwọn olórí wọn àti àwọn alàgbà àti àwọn olùkọ́ni ní òfin péjọ sí Jerusalẹmu.
It came to pass then on the next day assembling their rulers and (*no*) elders and (*no*) scribes
6 Àti Annasi olórí àlùfáà, àti Kaiafa, àti Johanu, àti Aleksanderu, àti iye àwọn tí i ṣe ìbátan olórí àlùfáà.
(in *N(k)O*) Jerusalem and (Annas the high priest *N(k)O*) and (Caiaphas *N(k)O*) and (John *N(k)O*) and (Alexander *N(k)O*) and as many as were of descent high-priestly,
7 Wọ́n mú Peteru àti Johanu dúró níwájú wọn, wọ́n sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí béèrè ìbéèrè lọ́wọ́ wọn pé, “Nípa agbára tàbí orúkọ wo ni ẹ̀yin fi ṣe èyí?”
And having placed them in the midst they were inquiring; In what power or in what name did this you yourselves?
8 Nígbà náà ni Peteru kún fún Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́, ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ̀yin olórí àti ẹ̀yin alàgbà àwọn ènìyàn!
Then Peter having been filled with [the] Spirit Holy said to them; Rulers of the people and elders (of Israel *K*)
9 Bí ó bá ṣe pé a ń wádìí wa lónìí ní tí iṣẹ́ rere ti a ṣe lára abirùn náà, bí a ti ṣe mú ọkùnrin yìí láradá,
if we ourselves this day are being examined as to a good work [to the] man ailing, by what [means] he has been healed,
10 kí èyí yé gbogbo yín àti gbogbo ènìyàn Israẹli pé, ni orúkọ Jesu Kristi ti Nasareti, tí ẹ̀yin kàn mọ́ àgbélébùú, tí Ọlọ́run jí dìde kúrò nínú òkú, nípa rẹ̀ ni ọkùnrin yìí fi dúró níwájú yín ni ara dídá-ṣáṣá.
known it should be to all you and to all the people of Israel that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom you yourselves crucified, whom God raised out from [the] dead, in Him this [man] has stood before you sound.
11 Èyí ni “‘òkúta tí a ti ọwọ́ ẹ̀yin ọ̀mọ̀lé kọ̀sílẹ̀, tí ó sì di pàtàkì igun ilé.’
This is the stone which having been rejected by you the (builders, *N(k)O*) which has become into head of [the] corner.’
12 Kò sì sí ìgbàlà lọ́dọ̀ ẹlòmíràn; nítorí kò sí orúkọ mìíràn lábẹ́ ọ̀run ti a fi fún ni nínú ènìyàn, nípa èyí tí a lè fi gbà wá là.”
And not there is in other no [one] the salvation; (not *N(k)O*) for name is there another under heaven which given among men by which it behooves to be saved us.
13 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì kíyèsi ìgboyà Peteru àti Johanu, tí wọ́n mọ̀ pé, aláìkẹ́kọ̀ọ́ àti òpè ènìyàn ni wọn, ẹnu yà wọ́n, wọ́n sì wòye pé, wọ́n ti ń bá Jesu gbé.
Seeing now the of Peter boldness and of John and having grasped that men unschooled they are and ordinary, they were astonished, They were recognizing then them that with Jesus they were being,
14 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì ń wo ọkùnrin náà tí a mú láradá, tí ó bá wọn dúró, wọn kò rí nǹkan wí sí i.
(And *N(k)O*) the man beholding with them already standing who healed, no [thing] they had to contradict.
15 Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí wọ́n sì ti pàṣẹ pé kí wọn jáde kúrò ní ìgbìmọ̀, wọ́n bá ara wọn gbèrò.
Having commanded however them outside the Council to go, (they were confering *N(k)O*) with one another
16 Wí pé, “Kí ni a ó ṣe sí àwọn ọkùnrin wọ̀nyí? Ní ti pé iṣẹ́ àmì tí ó dájú tí ọwọ́ wọn ṣe, ó hàn gbangba fún gbogbo àwọn tí ń gbé Jerusalẹmu; àwa kò sì lè sẹ́ èyí.
saying; What (shall we do *N(k)O*) to the men these? for truly for a noteworthy sign has come to pass through them to all those inhabiting Jerusalem [is] evident, and not we are able (to deny [it]; *N(k)O*)
17 Ṣùgbọ́n kí ó má ba à tànkálẹ̀ síwájú mọ́ láàrín àwọn ènìyàn, ẹ jẹ́ kí a kìlọ̀ fún wọn pé, láti ìsinsin yìí lọ kí wọn má ṣe fi orúkọ yìí sọ̀rọ̀ sí ẹnikẹ́ni mọ́.”
But that not on further it may spread among the people, (threats *K*) (let us warn *NK(o)*) them no longer to speak in name this to no man.
18 Wọ́n sì pè wọ́n, wọ́n pàṣẹ fún wọn, kí wọn má ṣe sọ̀rọ̀ tàbí kọ́ni rárá mọ́ ní orúkọ Jesu.
And having called them they commanded (them *k*) at not to speak nor to teach in the name of Jesus.
19 Ṣùgbọ́n Peteru àti Johanu dáhùn, wọ́n sì wí fún wọn pé, “Bí ó bá tọ́ lójú Ọlọ́run láti gbọ́ tiyín ju ti Ọlọ́run lọ ẹ gbà á rò.
But Peter and John answering said to them; Whether right it is before God to you to listen rather than God, you should judge.
20 Àwa kò lè ṣàìmá sọ ohun tí àwa ń rí, tí a sì ti gbọ́.”
not we are able for we ourselves what we have seen and we heard not to speak.
21 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì kìlọ̀ fún wọn sí i, wọn fi wọ́n sílẹ̀ lọ, nígbà tí wọn kò ì tí ì rí nǹkan tí wọn ìbá fi jẹ wọ́n ní ìyà, nítorí àwọn ènìyàn; nítorí gbogbo wọn ni wọ́n yin Ọlọ́run lógo fún ohun tí ó ṣe.
And having further threatened [them] they let go them nothing finding the how (they may punish *NK(o)*) them, on account of the people, because all were glorifying God for that having happened.
22 Nítorí ọkùnrin náà lára ẹni tí a ṣe iṣẹ́ àmì ìmúláradá, ju ẹni ogójì ọdún lọ.
of years for he was more than forty-the man on whom had taken place sign this of healing.
23 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì ti fi wọ́n sílẹ̀ wọ́n lọ sọ́dọ̀ àwọn ẹlẹgbẹ́ wọn, wọ́n sì ròyìn ohun gbogbo tí àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àwọn alàgbà sọ fún wọn.
Having been let go now they came to [their] own and reported as much as to them the chief priests and the elders had said.
24 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì gbọ́, wọ́n fi ọkàn kan gbé ohùn wọn sókè sí Ọlọ́run, wọ́n sì wí pé, “Olúwa Olódùmarè, ìwọ tí ó dá ọ̀run àti ayé, òkun, àti ohun gbogbo tí ń bẹ nínú wọn.
And having heard with one accord they lifted up [their] voice to God and said; Sovereign Lord, You yourself (God *K*) who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that [is] in them,
25 Ìwọ nípa Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ tí ó ti ẹnu Dafidi baba wa ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ wí pé: “‘E é ṣe tí àwọn kèfèrí fi ń bínú, àti tí àwọn ènìyàn ń gbèrò ohun asán?
who (of the father of us *NO*) through ([the] Spirit Holy *NO*) through [the] mouth of David (the *k*) servant of You having spoken: so why so why did rage [the] Gentiles and peoples did devise vain things?
26 Àwọn ọba ayé dìde, àti àwọn ìjòyè kó ara wọn jọ sí Olúwa, àti sí ẹni àmì òróró rẹ̀.’
Took [their] stand the kings of the earth and the rulers were gathered together themselves against the Lord and against the Christ of Him.’
27 Àní nítòótọ́ ní Herodu àti Pọntiu Pilatu, pẹ̀lú àwọn aláìkọlà àti àwọn ènìyàn Israẹli kó ara wọn jọ ní ìlú yìí láti dìtẹ̀ sí Jesu Ìránṣẹ́ mímọ́ rẹ, ẹni tí ìwọ ti fi àmì òróró yàn,
Were gathered together for in truth (in the city this *NO*) against the holy servant of You Jesus whom You anointed, Herod both and Pontius Pilate with [the] Gentiles and peoples of Israel
28 láti ṣe ohunkóhun tí ọwọ́ rẹ àti ìmọ̀ rẹ̀ ti pinnu ṣáájú pé yóò ṣe.
to do as much as the hand of You and the purpose of You determined beforehand to happen.
29 Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí, Olúwa, kíyèsi ìhàlẹ̀ wọn; kí ó sì fi fún àwọn ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ láti máa fi ìgboyà ńlá sọ ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
And now, Lord, do look upon the threats of them and do grant to the servants of You with boldness all to speak the word of You
30 Kí ìwọ sì fi nína ọwọ́ rẹ ṣe ìmúláradá, àti kí iṣẹ́ ìyanu máa ṣẹ̀ ní orúkọ Jesu ìránṣẹ́ mímọ́ rẹ.”
in that the hand of You stretching out You for healing and signs and wonders to take place through the name of the holy servant of You Jesus.
31 Nígbà tí wọ́n gbàdúrà tan, ibi tí wọ́n gbé péjọpọ̀ sí mì tìtì; gbogbo wọn sì kún fún Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́, wọ́n sì ń fi ìgboyà sọ ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run.
And when were praying they was shaken the place in which they were assembled, and they were filled all (with the *no*) Holy Spirit and were speaking the word of God with boldness.
32 Ìjọ àwọn tí ó gbàgbọ́ sì wà ní ọkàn kan àti inú kan; kò sì ṣí ẹnìkan tí ó wí pé ohun kan nínú ohun ìní rẹ̀ jẹ́ ti ara rẹ̀; ṣùgbọ́n gbogbo wọn ní ohun gbogbo ní ìṣọ̀kan.
And the multitude who having believed were [in] (*k*) heart and (*k*) soul one; and not one anything of the possessions (to him *N(k)O*) was claiming [his] own to be, but were to them (all things *NK(o)*) in common.
33 Agbára ńlá ni àwọn aposteli sì fi ń jẹ́rìí àjíǹde Jesu Olúwa, oore-ọ̀fẹ́ púpọ̀ sì wà lórí gbogbo wọn.
And [with] power great were giving testimony the apostles of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus grace then abundant was upon all them.
34 Nítorí kò sí ẹnìkan nínú wọn tí ó ṣe aláìní, nítorí iye àwọn tí ó ní ilẹ̀ tàbí ilé tà wọ́n, wọ́n sì mú owó ohun tí wọn tà wá.
Not even for in need anyone (there was *N(k)O*) among them; as many as for [were] owners of lands or houses were selling [them] they were bringing the proceeds of what is sold
35 Wọ́n sì fi í lélẹ̀ lẹ́sẹ̀ àwọn aposteli, wọn sì ń pín fún olúkúlùkù gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti ṣe aláìní sí.
and were laying [them] at the feet of the apostles, distribution was made then to each just as would anyone need had.
36 Àti Josẹfu, tí a ti ọwọ́ àwọn aposteli sọ àpèlé rẹ̀ ní Barnaba (ìtumọ̀ èyí tí ń jẹ ọmọ ìtùnú), ẹ̀yà Lefi, àti ará Saipurọsi.
(Joseph *N(K)O*) now who having been called Barnabas (by *N(k)O*) the apostles which is being translated Son of encouragement a Levite, a Cypriot at the birth,
37 Ó ní ilẹ̀ kan, ó tà á, ó mú owó rẹ̀ wá, ó sì fi í lélẹ̀ lẹ́sẹ̀ àwọn aposteli.
When is owning he a field, having sold [it] he brought the money and laid [it] (at *N(k)O*) the feet of the apostles.
