< Acts 3 >

1 Ní ọjọ́ kan Peteru àti Johanu jùmọ̀ ń gòkè lọ sí tẹmpili ní wákàtí àdúrà; tí í ṣe wákàtí mẹ́ta ọ̀sán.
One day Peter and John were going up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
2 Wọn sì gbé ọkùnrin kan ti ó yarọ láti inú ìyá rẹ̀ wá, tí wọ́n máa ń gbé kalẹ̀ lójoojúmọ́ ní ẹnu-ọ̀nà tẹmpili ti a ń pè ni Dáradára, láti máa ṣagbe lọ́wọ́ àwọn tí ń wọ inú tẹmpili lọ.
And a man who was lame from his mother's womb was being carried in. Every day people would lay him at the gate of the temple called the Beautiful Gate so that he could ask for alms from those who were entering the temple courts.
3 Nígbà tí ó rí Peteru àti Johanu bí wọn tí fẹ́ wọ inú tẹmpili, ó ṣagbe.
When he saw Peter and John about to enter the temple courts, he began asking for alms.
4 Peteru sì tẹjúmọ́ ọn, pẹ̀lú Johanu, ó ní “Wò wá!”
But Peter, along with John, looked at him intently and said, “Look at us.”
5 Ó sì fiyèsí wọn, ó ń retí láti rí nǹkan láti gbà lọ́wọ́ wọn.
So the man gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
6 Peteru wí pé, “Wúrà àti fàdákà èmi kò ní, ṣùgbọ́n ohun tí mo ní èyí náà ni mo fi fún ọ. Ní orúkọ Jesu Kristi ti Nasareti, dìde kí o sì máa rìn.”
But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give to yoʋ. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
7 Ó sì fà á lọ́wọ́ ọ̀tún, ó sì gbé dìde; lójúkan náà ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ àti egungun kókósẹ̀ rẹ̀ sì mókun.
Then Peter took hold of him by the right hand and raised him up, and at once his feet and ankles were strengthened.
8 Ó sì ń fò sókè, ó dúró, ó sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí rìn, ó sì bá wọn wọ inú tẹmpili lọ, ó ń rìn, ó sì ń fò, ó sì yín Ọlọ́run.
Leaping up, he stood and began walking. Then he entered the temple courts with them, walking and leaping and praising God.
9 Gbogbo ènìyàn sì rí i, ó ń rìn, ó sì yin Ọlọ́run,
When all the people saw him walking and praising God,
10 Wọn sì mọ̀ pé òun ni ó ti jókòó tí ń ṣagbe ní ẹnu-ọ̀nà Dáradára ti tẹmpili náà; hà, sì ṣe wọn, ẹnu sì yà wọn gidigidi sí ohun tí ó ṣe lára rẹ̀.
they recognized him as the man who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate of the temple asking for alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
11 Bí arọ ti a mú láradá sì ti di Peteru àti Johanu mú, gbogbo ènìyàn jùmọ̀ súre tọ̀ wọ́n lọ ni ìloro ti a ń pè ní ti Solomoni, pẹ̀lú ìyàlẹ́nu ńlá.
As the lame man who had been healed clung to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them at the portico called Solomon's, utterly astonished.
12 Nígbà tí Peteru sì rí i, ó dáhùn, ó wí fún àwọn ènìyàn pé, “Ẹ̀yin ènìyàn Israẹli, èéṣe tí háà fi ń ṣe yín sí èyí? Tàbí èéṣe ti ẹ̀yin fi tẹjúmọ́ wa, bí ẹni pé agbára tàbí ìwà mímọ́ wa ni àwa fi ṣe é ti ọkùnrin yìí fi ń rìn?
When Peter saw this, he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this, or why are you staring at us as though by our own power or godliness we have made this man walk?
13 Ọlọ́run Abrahamu, àti Isaaki, àti Jakọbu, Ọlọ́run àwọn baba wa, òun ni ó ti yin Jesu ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ lógo; ẹni tí ẹ̀yin ti fi lé wọn lọ́wọ́, tí ẹ̀yin sì sẹ́ níwájú Pilatu, nígbà tí ó ti pinnu rẹ̀ láti dá a sílẹ̀.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, even though Pilate had decided to release him.
14 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin ṣẹ́ Ẹni Mímọ́ àti Olóòótọ́ náà, ẹ̀yin sì béèrè kí a fi apànìyàn fún un yín.
Yes, you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you.
15 Ẹ̀yin sì pa ìpilẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ìyè, ẹni tí Ọlọ́run sì ti jí dìde kúrò nínú òkú; ẹlẹ́rìí èyí ti àwa jẹ́.
You put to death the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.
16 Nípa ìgbàgbọ́ nínú orúkọ Jesu, òun ni ó mú ọkùnrin yìí láradá, ẹni tí ẹ̀yin rí, tí ẹ sì mọ̀. Orúkọ Jesu àti ìgbàgbọ́ tí ó wá nípa rẹ̀ ni ó fún un ní ìlera pípé ṣáṣá yìí ni ojú gbogbo yín.
By faith in his name, his name has strengthened this man whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.
17 “Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí, ará, mo mọ̀ pé nípa àìmọ̀ ni ẹ̀yin fi ṣe é, gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn olórí yín pẹ̀lú ti ṣe.
“Now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your rulers also.
18 Ṣùgbọ́n báyìí ni Ọlọ́run ti ṣe ìmúṣẹ àwọn ohun tí ó ti sọtẹ́lẹ̀ láti ẹnu gbogbo àwọn wòlíì pé, Kristi rẹ̀ yóò jìyà.
But in this way God fulfilled what he had foretold through the mouths of all his prophets, that the Christ would suffer.
19 Nítorí náà ẹ ronúpìwàdà, kí ẹ sì yípadà sí Ọlọ́run, kí a lè pa ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ yín rẹ́, kí àkókò ìtura bá a lè ti ọ̀dọ̀ Olúwa wá,
Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped away, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
20 àti kí ó ba à lè rán Kristi tí a ti yàn fún yín tẹlẹ̀: àní Jesu.
and that he may send Jesus, the Christ who has been appointed for you.
21 Ẹni tí ọ̀run kò lé ṣàìmá gbà títí di ìgbà ìmúpadà ohun gbogbo, tí Ọlọ́run ti sọ láti ẹnu àwọn wòlíì rẹ̀ mímọ́ tí wọn ti ń bẹ nígbà tí ayé ti ṣẹ̀. (aiōn g165)
Heaven must receive him until the time comes for the restoration of all things, which God declared by the mouth of all his holy prophets long ago. (aiōn g165)
22 Mose wí pé, ‘Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín yóò gbé wòlíì kan dìde fún yín nínú àwọn arákùnrin yín, bí èmi; òun ni ẹ̀yin yóò máa gbọ́ tirẹ̀ ní ohun gbogbo tí yóò máa sọ fún un yín.
For Moses said to our fathers, ‘The Lord our God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to everything he tells you.
23 Yóò sì ṣe, olúkúlùkù ọkàn ti kò bá gbọ́ ti wòlíì náà, òun ni a ó parun pátápátá kúrò nínú àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀.’
Every soul who does not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’
24 “Àní, gbogbo àwọn wòlíì láti Samuẹli wá, àti àwọn tí ó tẹ̀lé e, iye àwọn tí ó ti sọ̀rọ̀, wọn sọ ti ọjọ́ wọ̀nyí pẹ̀lú.
Indeed, all the prophets who have spoken, beginning with Samuel and continuing with those who came afterward, also proclaimed these days.
25 Ẹ̀yin ni ọmọ àwọn wòlíì, àti ti májẹ̀mú tí Ọlọ́run ti bá àwọn baba yín dá nígbà tí ó wí fún Abrahamu pé, ‘Láti ipasẹ̀ irú àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ ni a ó ti bùkún fún gbogbo ìdílé ayé.’
You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with our fathers when he said to Abraham, ‘In yoʋr offspring all the families of the earth will be blessed.’
26 Nígbà ti Ọlọ́run jí Jesu Ọmọ rẹ̀ dìde, ó kọ́ rán an sí i yín láti bùkún fún un yín, nípa yíyí olúkúlùkù yín padà kúrò nínú ìwà búburú rẹ̀.”
God raised up his servant Jesus and sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”
