< 2 Thessalonians 2 >

1 Ní ti bíbọ̀ Jesu Kristi Olúwa wa, àti ti ìpéjọ wa sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, àwa wí fún yín ará,
Now, we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together to him,
2 kí ọkàn yín má ṣe àìbalẹ̀, tàbí kí ẹ má ṣe jáyà nípa àsọtẹ́lẹ̀, ìròyìn tàbí lẹ́tà tí ó lè fi ara jọ èyí tí ó le wá láti ọ̀dọ̀ wa, tí yóò máa wí pé ọjọ́ Olúwa ti dé ná.
that you be not suddenly shaken in mind, nor alarmed, neither by spirit, not by report, nor by letter, as from us, intimating that the day of the Lord is at hand.
3 Ẹ má ṣe jẹ́ kí ẹnikẹ́ni kí ó tàn yín jẹ ní ọ̀nàkọnà, nítorí pé ọjọ́ náà kì yóò dé, bí kò ṣe pé ìṣọ̀tẹ̀ bá kọ́ ṣẹlẹ̀, tí a sì fi ẹni ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ hàn, tí í ṣe ọmọ ègbé.
Let no one lead you into a mistake by any means; because the apostasy must first appear, and the man of sin, the son of perdition, must be first revealed,
4 Òun yóò lòdì sí, yóò sì gbé ara rẹ̀ ga sí gbogbo ohun tí a ń pè ní Ọlọ́run tàbí tí a ń sìn, dé ibi pé yóò gbé ara rẹ̀ jókòó nínú tẹmpili Ọlọ́run, tí yóò sì pe ara rẹ̀ ní Ọlọ́run.
who opposes and exalts himself against every one called a god, or an object of worship; so that he places himself in the temple of God, openly exhibiting himself, that he is a god.
5 Ṣé ẹ̀yin kò rántí pé nígbà tí mo wà pẹ̀lú yín, mo ń sọ àwọn nǹkan wọ̀nyí fún un yín.
Do you not remember that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 Àti pé nísinsin yìí, ẹ̀yin mọ ohun tí ń dá a dúró, kí a bá a lè fi í hàn ní àkókò rẹ̀ gan an.
And you know what now prevents his being revealed until his proper time.
7 Nítorí agbára ìkọ̀kọ̀ ẹni ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ti ń ṣiṣẹ́; ṣùgbọ́n ẹni tí ń dènà yóò máa ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ títí a ó fi mú un kúrò ní ọ̀nà.
For already the mystery of iniquity secretly works, only till he who now restrains, be taken out of the way;
8 Nígbà náà ni a ó fi ẹni ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ hàn, ẹni tí Jesu Olúwa yóò fi èémí ẹnu rẹ̀ pa, tí yóò sì fi ọlá ìpadàbọ̀ rẹ̀ parun.
and then shall that lawless one be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will consume by the spirit of his mouth--with the brightness of his coming,
9 Wíwá ẹni ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ yóò rí bí iṣẹ́ Satani, gbogbo èyí tí a fihàn gẹ́gẹ́ bí àdàmọ̀dì iṣẹ́ ìyanu, àdàmọ̀dì àmì àti àdàmọ̀dì idán,
he will, indeed, utterly destroy him, whose coming is according to the energy of Satan, with all the power, and signs, and wonders of falsehood;
10 ní gbogbo ọ̀nà búburú tí a fi ń tan àwọn tí ń ṣègbé jẹ. Wọ́n ṣègbé nítorí wọ́n kọ̀ láti fẹ́ràn òtítọ́ kí wọn sì di ẹni ìgbàlà.
and with all the deceit of unrighteousness among the destroyed; because they did not embrace the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 Nítorí ìdí èyí, Ọlọ́run rán ohun tó ń ṣiṣẹ́ ìṣìnà sí wọn kí wọn lè gba èké gbọ́,
For this cause, God will send them strong delusion, that they may believe a lie;
12 kí wọn kí ó lè gba ìdálẹ́bi, àní àwọn tí kò gba òtítọ́ gbọ́, ṣùgbọ́n tí wọ́n ní inú dídùn nínú ìwà búburú.
that all may be condemned who have not believed the truth, but have taken pleasure in iniquity.
13 Ṣùgbọ́n, ohun tí ó tọ́ fún wa ni láti máa dúpẹ́ lọ́wọ́ Ọlọ́run nígbà gbogbo nítorí yín, ará olùfẹ́ ní ti Olúwa, nítorí láti ìbẹ̀rẹ̀ ni Ọlọ́run ti yàn yín sí ìgbàlà nípa ìsọdimímọ́ ti Ẹ̀mí àti nípa gbígba òtítọ́ gbọ́.
But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God has, from the beginning, chosen you to salvation, through sanctification of spirit, and belief of truth;
14 Òun ti pè yín sí èyí nípa ìyìnrere wa, kí ẹ̀yin kí ó lè pín nínú ògo Jesu Kristi Olúwa wa.
to which he called you, by our gospel, that you might obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Nítorí náà ará, ẹ dúró ṣinṣin, kí ẹ sì di àwọn ẹ̀kọ́ wọ̀n-ọn-nì tí a kọ́ yín mú, yálà nípa ọ̀rọ̀ ẹnu tàbí lẹ́tà.
Well, then, brethren, stand firm, and hold fast the traditions which you have been taught, whether by our word or letter.
16 Ǹjẹ́ kí Jesu Kristi Olúwa wa tìkálára rẹ̀, àti Ọlọ́run Baba wa, ẹni to ti fẹ́ wa, tí ó sì ti fi ìtùnú àìnípẹ̀kun àti ìrètí rere nípa oore-ọ̀fẹ́ fún wa. (aiōnios g166)
And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who has loved us, and given us everlasting consolation, and good hope through favor, (aiōnios g166)
17 Kí ó mú ọkàn yín le, kí ó sì kún yín pẹ̀lú agbára nínú iṣẹ́ gbogbo àti ọ̀rọ̀ rere gbogbo.
comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
