1 Ó sì ṣe, lẹ́yìn èyí, Dafidi sì kọlu àwọn Filistini, ó sì tẹrí wọn ba, Dafidi sì gba Metegamima lọ́wọ́ àwọn Filistini.
And it came to pass after this, that David struck the Philistines, and put them to flight, and David took the tribute from out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 Dafidi sì kọlu Moabu, ó sì fi okùn títa kan dì wọ́n, ó sì dá wọn dùbúlẹ̀; ó sì ṣe òsùwọ̀n okùn méjì ni iye àwọn tí yóò dá sí. Àwọn ará Moabu sì ń sin Dafidi, wọn a sì máa mú ẹ̀bùn wá.
And David struck Moab, and measured them out with lines, having laid them down on the ground: and there were two lines for slaying, and two lines he kept alive: and Moab became servants to David, yielding tribute.
3 Dafidi sì kọlu Hadadeseri ọmọ Rehobu, ọba Soba, bí òun sì ti ń lọ láti mú agbára rẹ̀ bọ̀ sípò ni odò Eufurate.
And David struck Adraazar the son of Raab king of Suba, as he went to extend his power to the river Euphrates.
4 Dafidi sì gba ẹgbẹ̀rún kẹ̀kẹ́ lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀, àti ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbàárin ẹlẹ́ṣin, àti ogún ẹgbẹ̀rún àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀. Dafidi sì já gbogbo àwọn ẹṣin kẹ̀kẹ́ wọn ní pàtì, ṣùgbọ́n ó dá ọgọ́rùn-ún kẹ̀kẹ́ sí nínú wọn.
And David took a thousand of his chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all his chariot [horses], and he reserved to himself a hundred chariots.
5 Nígbà tí àwọn ará Siria ti Damasku sì wá láti ran Hadadeseri ọba Soba lọ́wọ́, Dafidi sì pa ẹgbẹ̀rún méjìlélógún ènìyàn nínú àwọn ará Siria.
And Syria of Damascus comes to help Adraazar king of Suba, and David struck twenty-two thousand men belonging to the Syrian.
6 Dafidi sì fi àwọn ológun sí Siria ti Damasku, àwọn ará Siria sì wá sin Dafidi, wọn a sì máa mú ẹ̀bùn wá, Olúwa sì pa Dafidi mọ́ níbikíbi tí o ń lọ.
And David placed a garrison in Syria near Damascus, and the Syrians became servants and tributaries to David: and the Lord preserved David wherever he went.
7 Dafidi sì gba àṣà wúrà tí ó wà lára àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Hadadeseri, ó sì gbé wọn wá sí Jerusalẹmu.
And David took the golden bracelets which were on the servants of Adraazar king of Suba, and brought them to Jerusalem. And Susakim king of Egypt took them, when he went up to Jerusalem in the days of Roboam son of Solomon.
8 Láti Beta, àti láti Berotai, àwọn ìlú Hadadeseri, ọba Dafidi kó ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ idẹ wá.
And king David took from Metebac, and from the choice cities of Adraazar, very much brass: with that Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the lavers, and all the furniture.
9 Nígbà tí Tou ọba Hamati sì gbọ́ pé Dafidi ti pa gbogbo ogun Hadadeseri.
And You the king of Hemath heard that David had struck all the host of Adraazar.
10 Toi sì rán Joramu ọmọ rẹ̀ sí Dafidi ọba, láti kí i, àti láti súre fún un, nítorí pé ó tí bá Hadadeseri jagun, ó sì ti pa á, nítorí tí Hadadeseri sá à ti bá Toi jagun. Joramu sì ni ohun èlò fàdákà, àti ohun èlò wúrà, àti ohun èlò idẹ ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀.
And You sent Jedduram his son to king David, to ask him of his welfare, and to congratulate him on his fighting against Adraazar and striking him, for he was an enemy to Adraazar: and in his hands were vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass.
11 Dafidi ọba sì fi wọ́n fún Olúwa pẹ̀lú fàdákà, àti wúrà tí ó yà sí mímọ́, èyí tí ó ti gbà lọ́wọ́ àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí ó ti ṣẹ́gun.
And these king David consecrated to the Lord, with the silver and with the gold which he consecrated out of all the cities which he conquered,
12 Lọ́wọ́ Siria àti lọ́wọ́ Moabu àti lọ́wọ́ àwọn ọmọ Ammoni, àti lọ́wọ́ àwọn Filistini, àti lọ́wọ́ Amaleki, àti nínú ìkógun Hadadeseri ọmọ Rehobu ọba Soba.
out of Idumea, and out of Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalec, and from the spoils of Adraazar son of Raab king of Suba.
13 Dafidi sì ní òkìkí gidigidi nígbà tí ó padà wá ilé láti ibi pípa àwọn ará Siria ní àfonífojì Iyọ̀, àwọn tí o pa jẹ́ ẹgbàá mẹ́sàn ènìyàn.
And David made [himself] a name: and when he returned he struck Idumea in Gebelem to [the number of] eighteen thousand.
14 Ó sì fi àwọn ológun sí Edomu; àti ní gbogbo Edomu yíká ni òun sì fi ológun sí, gbogbo àwọn tí ó wà ní Edomu sì wá sin Dafidi, Olúwa sì fún Dafidi ní ìṣẹ́gun níbikíbi tí ó ń lọ.
And he set garrisons in Idumea, even in all Idumea: and all the Idumeans were servants to the king. And the Lord preserved David wherever he went.
15 Dafidi sì jẹ ọba lórí gbogbo Israẹli; Dafidi sì ṣe ìdájọ́ àti òtítọ́ fún àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀.
And David reigned over all Israel: and David wrought judgement and justice over all his people.
16 Joabu ọmọ Seruiah ni ó sì ń ṣe olórí ogun; Jehoṣafati ọmọ Ahiludi sì ń ṣe akọ̀wé.
And Joab the son of Saruia [was] over the host; and Josaphat the son of Achilud [was keeper] of the records.
17 Sadoku ọmọ Ahitubu, àti Ahimeleki ọmọ Abiatari, ni àwọn àlùfáà; Seraiah a sì máa ṣe akọ̀wé.
And Sadoc the son of Achitob, and Achimelech son of Abiathar, [were] priests; and Sasa [was] the scribe,
18 Benaiah ọmọ Jehoiada ni ó sì ń ṣe olórí àwọn Kereti, àti àwọn Peleti; àwọn ọmọ Dafidi sì jẹ́ aláṣẹ.
and Banaeas son of Jodae [was] councillor, and the Chelethite and the Phelethite, and the sons of David, were princes of the court.
