1 Ogun náà sì pẹ́ títí láàrín ìdílé Saulu àti ìdílé Dafidi: agbára Dafidi sì ń pọ̀ sí i, ṣùgbọ́n ìdílé Saulu ń rẹ̀yìn sí i.
Therfor long strijf was maad bitwixe the hows of Dauid and `bitwixe the hows of Saul; and Dauid profitide and euere was strongere than hym silf, forsothe the hows of Saul decreesside ech dai.
2 Dafidi sì bí ọmọkùnrin ní Hebroni: Amnoni ni àkọ́bí rẹ̀ tí Ahinoamu ará Jesreeli bí fún un.
And sones weren borne to Dauid in Ebron; and his firste gendrid sone was Amon, of Achynoem of Jezrael;
3 Èkejì rẹ̀ sì ni Kileabu, tí Abigaili aya Nabali ará Karmeli bí fún un; ẹ̀kẹta sì ni Absalomu ọmọ tí Maaka ọmọbìnrin Talmai ọba Geṣuri bí fún un.
and aftir hym was Celeab, of Abigail, wijf of Nabal of Carmele; sotheli the thrydde was Absolon, the sone of Maacha, douytir of Tholomay, kyng of Gessur;
4 Ẹ̀kẹrin sì ni Adonijah ọmọ Haggiti; àti ẹ̀karùnún ni Ṣefatia ọmọ Abitali;
forsothe the fourthe was Adonyas, the sone of Agith; and the fyuethe was Saphacias, the sone of Abitail; and the sixte was Gethraam of Egla,
5 Ẹ̀kẹfà sì ni Itreamu, tí Egla aya Dafidi bí fún un. Wọ̀nyí ni a bí fún Dafidi ni Hebroni.
the wijf of Dauid. These weren borne to Dauid in Ebron.
6 Ó sì ṣe, nígbà tí ogun wà láàrín ìdílé Saulu àti ìdílé Dafidi, Abneri sì dì alágbára ní ìdílé Saulu.
Therfor whanne batel was bytwixe the hows of Saul and the hows of Dauid, Abner, the sone of Ner, gouernyde the hows of Saul.
7 Saulu ti ní àlè kan, orúkọ rẹ̀ sì ń jẹ́ Rispa, ọmọbìnrin Aiah: Iṣboṣeti sì bi Abneri léèrè pé, “Èéṣe tí ìwọ fi wọlé tọ àlè baba mi lọ.”
Sotheli a concubyn, that is, a secoundarie wijf, Respha bi name, the douytir of Achia, `was to Saul; and Abner entride to hir.
8 Abneri sì bínú gidigidi nítorí ọ̀rọ̀ wọ̀nyí ti Iṣboṣeti sọ fún un, ó sì wí pé, “Èmi jẹ́ bí orí ajá ti Juda bí? Di òní yìí ni mo ṣàánú fún ìdílé Saulu baba rẹ, àti fún àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀, àti fún àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ rẹ̀, tí èmi kò sì fi ọ́ lé Dafidi lọ́wọ́, ìwọ sì kà ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ sí mí lọ́rùn nítorí obìnrin yìí lónìí?
And Isbosech seide to Abner, Whi `entridist thou to the concubyn of my fadir? Which was wrooth greetli for the wordis of Isbosech, and seide, Whether Y am the heed of a dogge ayens Juda to dai, and Y have do merci on the hous of Saul, thi fadir, and on hise britheren, and neiyboris, and Y bitook not thee in to the hondis of David, and thou hast souyt in me that, that thou schuldist repreue me for a womman to dai?
9 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí Ọlọ́run ó ṣe Abneri, àti jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ pẹ̀lú, bí Olúwa ti búra fún Dafidi, bí èmi kò ní ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ fún un.
God do these thingis to Abner, and adde these thingis to hym, no but as the Lord swoor to Dauid, `so Y do with hym,
10 Láti mú ìjọba náà kúrò ní ìdílé Saulu, àti láti gbé ìtẹ́ Dafidi kalẹ̀ lórí Israẹli, àti lórí Juda, láti Dani títí ó fi dé Beerṣeba.”
that the rewme be translatid fro the hous of Saul, and the trone of Dauid be reisid on Israel and on Juda, fro Dan `til to Bersabee.
11 Òun kò sì lè dá Abneri lóhùn kan nítorí tí ó bẹ̀rù rẹ̀.
And Isbosech myyte not answere ony thing to Abner, for he dredde Abner.
12 Abneri sì rán àwọn oníṣẹ́ sí Dafidi nítorí rẹ̀ wí pé, “Ti ta ni ilẹ̀ náà ń ṣe? Bá mi ṣe àdéhùn, èmi yóò si kó gbogbo Israẹli tọ̀ ọ́ wá.”
Therfor Abner sente messangeris to Dauid, and thei seiden `for hym, Whos is the lond? and that the messangeris schulden speke, Make thou frenschipis with me, and myn hond schal be with thee, and Y schal brynge al Israel to thee.
13 Òun sì wí pé, “Ó dára, èmi ó bá ọ ṣe àdéhùn, ṣùgbọ́n ohun kan ni èmi ó béèrè lọ́wọ́ rẹ, èyí ni pé, ìwọ kì yóò rí ojú mi, àfi bí ìwọ bá kọ́ mú Mikali ọmọbìnrin Saulu wá, nígbà tí ìwọ bá wá, láti rí ojú mi.”
And Dauid seide, Best Y schal make frenschipis with thee, but Y axe of thee o thing, and seie, Thou schalt not se my face, bifore that thou brynge Mycol, the douyter of Saul, and so thou schalt come, and schalt se me.
14 Dafidi sì rán àwọn ìránṣẹ́ sí Iṣboṣeti ọmọ Saulu pé, “Fi Mikali obìnrin mi lé mi lọ́wọ́, ẹni tí èmi ti fi ọgọ́rùn-ún awọ iwájú orí àwọn Filistini fẹ́.”
Therfor Dauid sente messangeris to Isbosech, the sone of Saul, and seide, Yelde thou my wijf Mycol, whom Y spouside to me for an hundryd prepucies of Filisteis.
15 Iṣboṣeti sì ránṣẹ́, ó sì gbà á lọ́wọ́ ọkùnrin tí a ń pè ní Paltieli ọmọ Laiṣi.
Therfor Isbosech sente, and took hir fro hir hosebonde, Faltiel, son of Lais;
16 Ọkọ rẹ̀ sì ń bà a lọ, ó ń rìn, ó sì ń sọkún lẹ́yìn rẹ̀ títí ó fi dé Bahurimu Abneri sì wí fún un pé, “Padà sẹ́yìn!” Òun sì padà.
and hir hosebonde suede hir and wepte til Bahurym. And Abner seide to hym, Go thou, and turne ayen; and he turnede ayen.
17 Abneri sì bá àwọn àgbàgbà Israẹli sọ̀rọ̀ pé, “Ẹ̀yin ti ń ṣe àfẹ́rí Dafidi ní ìgbà àtijọ́, láti jẹ ọba lórí yín.
Also Abner brouyte in a word to the eldere men of Israel, and seide, Bothe yistirdai and the thridde dai ago ye souyten Dauid, that he schulde regne on you.
18 Ǹjẹ́ ẹ ṣe, nítorí tí Olúwa ti sọ fún Dafidi pé, ‘Láti ọwọ́ Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi lé mi ó gba Israẹli ènìyàn mi là kúrò lọ́wọ́ àwọn Filistini àti lọ́wọ́ gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá a wọn.’”
Now therfor do ye; for the Lord spak to Dauid, and seide, In the hond of my seruaunt Dauid Y schal saue my puple Israel fro the hond of Filisteis, and of alle his enemyes.
19 Abneri sì sọ̀rọ̀ létí Benjamini: Abneri sì lọ sọ létí Dafidi ní Hebroni, gbogbo èyí tí ó dára lójú Israẹli, àti lójú gbogbo ilé Benjamini.
Forsothe Abner spak also to Beniamyn, and he yede, that he schulde speke to Dauid, in Ebron, alle thingis that plesiden Israel and al Beniamin.
20 Abneri sì tọ Dafidi wá ní Hebroni, ogún ọmọkùnrin sì lọ pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ Dafidi sì ṣe àsè fún Abneri àti fún àwọn ọmọkùnrin tí ó wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀.
And he cam to Dauid in Ebron with twenti men. And Dauid made a feeste to Abner, and to the men that camen with hym.
21 Abneri sì wí fún Dafidi pé, “Èmi ó dìde, èmi ó sì lọ, èmi ó sì kó gbogbo Israẹli jọ sọ́dọ̀ ọba olúwa mi, wọn ó sì bá a ṣe àdéhùn, ìwọ ó sì jẹ ọba gbogbo wọn bí ọkàn rẹ ti ń fẹ́.” Dafidi sì rán Abneri lọ; òun sì lọ ní àlàáfíà.
And Abner seide to Dauid, Y schal rise, that Y gadere al Israel to thee, my lord the kyng, and that Y make boond of pees with thee, and that thou regne on alle, as thi soule desirith. Therfor whanne Dauid hadde ledde forth Abner, and he hadde go in pees,
22 Sì wò ó, àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Dafidi àti Joabu sì ti ibi ìlépa ẹgbẹ́ ogun kan bọ̀, wọ́n sì mú ìkógun púpọ̀ bọ̀; ṣùgbọ́n Abneri kò sí lọ́dọ̀ Dafidi ní Hebroni; nítorí tí òun ti rán an lọ, òun sì ti lọ ní àlàáfíà.
anoon the children of Dauid and Joab camen with a ful grete prey, whanne theues weren slayn; sotheli Abner was not with Dauid, in Ebron, for Dauid hadde left hym, and he yede forth in pees.
23 Nígbà tí Joabu àti gbogbo ogun tí ó pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ sì dé, wọ́n sì sọ fún Joabu pé Abneri, ọmọ Neri ti tọ ọba wá, òun sì ti rán an lọ, ó sì ti lọ ní àlàáfíà.
And Joab, and the oostis that weren with hym, camen aftirward; therfor it was teld to Joab of telleris, Abner, the sone of Ner, cam to the kyng, and the kyng lefte hym, and he yede in pees.
24 Joabu sì tọ ọba wá, ó sì sọ pé, “Kí ni ìwọ ṣe yìí? Wò ó, Abneri tọ̀ ọ́ wá; èéha ti ṣe tí ìwọ sì fi rán an lọ? Òun sì ti lọ.
And Joab entride to the kyng, and seide, What hast thou do? Lo! Abner cam to thee; whi leftist thou hym, and he yede, and departide?
25 Ìwọ mọ Abneri ọmọ Neri, pé ó wá láti tàn ọ́ jẹ ni, àti láti mọ ìjáde lọ rẹ, àti wíwọlé rẹ́ àti láti mọ gbogbo èyí tí ìwọ ń ṣe.”
Knowist thou not Abner, the sone of Ner, for herto he cam to thee, that he schulde disseyue thee, and that he schulde knowe thi going out and thin entryng, and schulde knowe alle thingis whiche thou doist?
26 Nígbà tí Joabu sì jáde kúrò lọ́dọ̀ Dafidi, ó sì rán àwọn ìránṣẹ́ láti lépa Abneri, wọ́n sì pè é padà láti ibi kànga Sira, Dafidi kò sì mọ̀.
Therfor Joab yede out fro Dauid, and sente messangeris aftir Abner; and `ledde hym ayen fro the cisterne of Cyrie, `while Dauid knew not.
27 Abneri sì padà sí Hebroni, Joabu sì bá a tẹ̀ láàrín ojú ọ̀nà láti bá a sọ̀rọ̀ ní àlàáfíà, ó sì gún un níbẹ̀ lábẹ́ inú, ó sì kú, nítorí ẹ̀jẹ̀ Asaheli arákùnrin rẹ̀.
And whanne Abner hadde come ayen in to Ebron, Joab ledde hym asidis half to `the myddil of the yate, that he schulde speke to hym in gile; and he smoot Abner there in the schar, and he was deed, in to the veniaunce of the blood of his brother Asahel.
28 Lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí Dafidi sì gbọ́ ọ, ó sì wí pé, “Èmi àti ìjọba mi sì jẹ́ aláìlẹ́bi níwájú Olúwa títí láé, ní ti ẹ̀jẹ̀ Abneri ọmọ Neri,
That whanne Dauid hadde herd the thing doon, he seide, Y am clene and my rewme anentis God til in to with outen ende fro the blood of Abner, sone of Ner;
29 jẹ́ kí ó wà ní orí Joabu, àti ní orí gbogbo ìdílé baba rẹ̀; kí a má sì fẹ́ ẹni ó tí ní ààrùn ìsun, tàbí adẹ́tẹ̀, tàbí ẹni tí ń tẹ ọ̀pá, tàbí ẹni tí a ó fi idà pa, tàbí ẹni tí ó ṣe aláìní oúnjẹ kù ní ilé Joabu.”
and come it on the heed of Joab, and on al the hows of his fadir; a man suffrynge flux of seed, and a leprouse man, holdynge spyndil, and fallynge bi swerd, and hauynge nede to breed, `that is, suffrynge hungur, `faile not of the hows of Joab.
30 (Joabu àti Abiṣai arákùnrin rẹ̀ sì pa Abneri, nítorí pé òun ti pa Asaheli arákùnrin wọn ní Gibeoni ní ogun.)
Therfor Joab, and Abisay, his brother, killiden Abner, for he hadde slayn Asahel, her brother, in Gabaon, in batel.
31 Dafidi sì wí fún Joabu àti fún gbogbo ènìyàn tí ń bẹ lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ pé, “Ẹ fa aṣọ yín ya, kí ẹ̀yin sì mú aṣọ ọ̀fọ̀, kí ẹ̀yin sì sọkún níwájú Abneri.” Dafidi ọba tìkára rẹ̀ sì tẹ̀lé pósí rẹ̀.
Forsothe Dauid seide to Joab, and to al the puple that was with hym, To rende ye your clothis, and be ye gird with sackis, and biweile ye bifor the heersis, `ether dirige, of Abner. Forsothe kyng Dauid suede the beere.
32 Wọ́n sì sin Abneri ní Hebroni, ọba sì gbé ohùn rẹ̀ sókè, ó sì sọkún ní ibojì Abneri; gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn náà sì sọkún.
And whanne thei hadden biried Abner in Ebron, kyng Dauid reiside his vois, and wepte on the biriel of Abner; `forsothe and al the puple wepte.
33 Ọba sì sọkún lórí Abneri, ó sì wí pé, “Ǹjẹ́ Abneri ó yẹ kí ó kú bí aṣiwèrè?
And the kyng biweilide, and bymorenyde Abner, and seide, Abner, thou diedist not as dredeful men, `ethir cowardis, ben wont to die.
34 A kò sá à dè ọ́ lọ́wọ́, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a kò kan ẹsẹ̀ rẹ ní àbà. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ènìyàn tí ń ṣubú níwájú àwọn ìkà ènìyàn, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ìwọ ṣubú.” Gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn náà sì tún sọkún lórí rẹ̀.
Thin hondis weren not boundun, and thi feet weren not greuyd with stockis, but thou feldist doun, as men ben wont to falle bifor the sones of wickidnesse. And al the puple doublide togidere, and wepte on hym.
35 Nígbà tí gbogbo ènìyàn sì wá láti gba Dafidi ní ìyànjú kí ó jẹun, nígbà tí ọjọ́ sì ń bẹ, Dafidi sì búra wí pé, “Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí Ọlọ́run ó ṣe sí mi àti jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ, bí èmi yóò bá tọ́ oúnjẹ wò, tàbí nǹkan mìíràn títí oòrùn yóò fi wọ̀!”
And whanne al the multitude cam to take mete with Dauid, while the dai was yit cleer, Dauid swoor, and seide, God do to me these thingis, and adde these thingis, if Y schal taast breed ethir ony othir thing bifor the going doun of the sune.
36 Gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn sì kíyèsi i, ó sì dára lójú wọn, gbogbo èyí tí ọba ṣe sì dára lójú gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn náà.
And al the puple herde; and alle thingis which the kyng dide in the siyt of al the puple plesiden hem;
37 Gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn náà àti gbogbo Israẹli sì mọ̀ lọ́jọ́ náà pé, kì í ṣe ìfẹ́ ọba láti pa Abneri ọmọ Neri.
and al the comyn puple and al Israel knewe in that day, that it was not doon of the kyng, that Abner, the sone of Ner, was slayn.
38 Ọba sì wí fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ pé, “Ẹ̀yin kò mọ̀ pé olórí àti ẹni ńlá kan ni ó ṣubú lónìí ní Israẹli.
Also the kyng seide to hise seruauntis, Whether ye witen not, that the prince and gretteste felde doun to dai in Israel?
39 Èmi sì ṣe aláìlágbára lónìí, bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé a fi èmi jẹ ọba; àwọn ọkùnrin wọ̀nyí ọmọ Seruiah sì le jù mí lọ: Olúwa ni yóò san án fún ẹni tí ó ṣe ibi gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwà búburú rẹ̀!”
Forsothe Y am `delicat, ether tendir, yit and anoyntid kyng; sotheli these sones of Saruye ben hard to me; the Lord yelde to hym that doith yuel bi his malice.
