< 2 Samuel 15 >

1 Lẹ́yìn èyí náà, Absalomu sì pèsè kẹ̀kẹ́ àti ẹṣin fún ara rẹ̀, àti àádọ́ta ọmọkùnrin tí yóò máa sáré níwájú rẹ̀.
And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.
2 Absalomu sì dìde ní kùtùkùtù, ó sì dúró ní apá kan ọ̀nà ẹnu ibodè. Bí ẹnìkan bá ní ẹjọ́ tí ó ń fẹ́ mú tọ ọba wá fún ìdájọ́, a sì pè é sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, a sì bi í pé, “Ará ìlú wo ni ìwọ?” Òun a sì dáhùn pé, “Ìránṣẹ́ rẹ ti inú ọ̀kan nínú ẹ̀yà Israẹli wá.”
And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
3 Absalomu yóò sì wí fún un pé, “Wò ó, ọ̀ràn rẹ ṣá dára, ó sì tọ́, ṣùgbọ́n kò sí ẹnìkan tí ọba fi àṣẹ fún láti gbọ́ ọ̀ràn rẹ.”
And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.
4 Absalomu a sì wí pé, “À bá jẹ́ fi mi ṣe onídàájọ́ ní ilẹ̀ yìí! Kí olúkúlùkù ẹni tí ó ní ẹjọ́ tàbí ọ̀ràn kan bá à lè máa tọ̀ mí wá, èmi ìbá sì ṣe ìdájọ́ òtítọ́ fún un.”
Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!
5 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni bí ẹnìkan bá sì súnmọ́ láti tẹríba fún un, òun a sì nawọ́ rẹ̀, a sì dìímú, a sì fi ẹnu kò ó lẹ́nu.
And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.
6 Irú ìwà báyìí ni Absalomu a máa hù sí gbogbo Israẹli tí ó tọ́ ọba wá nítorí ìdájọ́, Absalomu sì fi fa ọkàn àwọn ènìyàn Israẹli sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀.
And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
7 Ó sì ṣe lẹ́yìn ogójì ọdún, Absalomu sì wí fún ọba pé, “Èmi bẹ́ ọ́, jẹ́ kí èmi ó lọ, kí èmi sì san ìlérí mi tí èmi ti ṣe fún Olúwa, ní Hebroni.
And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto Yhwh, in Hebron.
8 Nítorí tí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ ti jẹ́ ẹ̀jẹ́ kan nígbà tí èmi ń bẹ ní Geṣuri ní Siria pé, ‘Bí Olúwa bá mú mi padà wá sí Jerusalẹmu, nítòótọ́, èmi ó sì sin Olúwa.’”
For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If Yhwh shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve Yhwh.
9 Ọba sì wí fún un pé, “Máa lọ ní àlàáfíà.” Ó sì dìde, ó sì lọ sí Hebroni.
And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.
10 Ṣùgbọ́n Absalomu rán àmì sáàrín gbogbo ẹ̀yà Israẹli pé, “Nígbà tí ẹ̀yin bá gbọ́ ìró ìpè, kí ẹ̀yin sì wí pé, ‘Absalomu jẹ ọba ní Hebroni.’”
But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.
11 Igba ọkùnrin sì bá Absalomu ti Jerusalẹmu jáde, nínú àwọn tí a ti pè; wọ́n sì lọ nínú àìmọ̀kan wọn, wọn kò sì mọ nǹkan kan.
And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing.
12 Absalomu sì ránṣẹ́ pe Ahitofeli ará Giloni, ìgbìmọ̀ Dafidi, láti ìlú rẹ̀ wá, àní láti Giloni, nígbà tí ó ń rú ẹbọ. Ìdìmọ̀lù náà sì le; àwọn ènìyàn sì ń pọ̀ sọ́dọ̀ Absalomu.
And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
13 Ẹnìkan sì wá rò fún Dafidi pé, “Ọkàn àwọn ọkùnrin Israẹli ṣí sí Absalomu.”
And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.
14 Dafidi sì wí fún gbogbo àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ tí ó wá lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ ni Jerusalẹmu pé, “Ẹ dìde! Ẹ jẹ́ kí a sálọ, nítorí pé kò sí ẹni tí yóò gbà wá lọ́wọ́ Absalomu; ẹ yára, kí a lọ kúrò, kí òun má bá à yára lé wa bá, kí ó má sì mú ibi bá wa, kí ó má sì fi ojú idà pa ìlú run.”
And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.
15 Àwọn ìránṣẹ́ ọba sì wí fún ọba pé, “Gẹ́gẹ́ bí gbogbo èyí tí olúwa wa ọba ń fẹ́, wò ó, àwa ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ ti murá.”
And the king’s servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.
16 Ọba sì jáde, gbogbo ilé rẹ̀ sì tẹ̀lé e. Ọba sì fì mẹ́wàá nínú àwọn obìnrin rẹ̀ sílẹ̀ láti máa ṣọ́ ilé.
And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.
17 Ọba sì jáde, gbogbo ènìyàn sì tẹ̀lé e, wọ́n sì dúró ní ibìkan tí ó jìnnà.
And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.
18 Gbogbo àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ sì kọjá sí iwájú rẹ̀, àti gbogbo àwọn Kereti, àti gbogbo àwọn Peleti, àti gbogbo àwọn ará Gitti, ẹgbẹ̀ta ọmọkùnrin tí ń tọ̀ ọ́ lẹ́yìn láti Gati wá, sì kọjá níwájú ọba.
And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.
19 Ọba sì wí fún Ittai ará Gitti pé, “Èéṣe tí ìwọ fi ń bá wa lọ pẹ̀lú, padà, kí o sì ba ọba jókòó; nítorí pé àlejò ni ìwọ, ìwọ sì ti fi ìlú rẹ sílẹ̀.
Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile.
20 Lánàá yìí ni ìwọ dé, èmi ó ha sì mú kí ìwọ máa bá wá lọ káàkiri lónìí bí? Èmi ń lọ sí ibikíbi tí mo bá rí: padà, kí o sì mú àwọn arákùnrin rẹ padà, kí àánú àti òtítọ́ Olúwa wà pẹ̀lú rẹ.”
Whereas thou camest but yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us? seeing I go whither I may, return thou, and take back thy brethren: mercy and truth be with thee.
21 Ittai sì dá ọba lóhùn, ó sì wí pé, “Bí Olúwa tí ń bẹ láààyè, àti bí olúwa mi ọba ti ń bẹ láààyè, nítòótọ́ níbikíbi tí olúwa mi ọba bá gbé wà, ìbá à ṣe nínú ikú, tàbí nínú ìyè, níbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ni ìránṣẹ́ rẹ yóò gbé wà.”
And Ittai answered the king, and said, As Yhwh liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be.
22 Dafidi sì wí fún Ittai pé, “Lọ kí o sì rékọjá!” Ittai ará Gitti náà sì rékọjá, àti gbogbo àwọn ọmọkùnrin rẹ̀, àti gbogbo àwọn ọmọ kéékèèké tí ó wà lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀.
And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him.
23 Gbogbo ìlú náà sì fi ohùn rara sọkún, gbogbo ènìyàn sì rékọjá; ọba sì rékọjá àfonífojì Kidironi, gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn náà sì rékọjá, sí ìhà ọ̀nà ijù.
And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.
24 Sì wò ó, Sadoku pẹ̀lú àti gbogbo àwọn ọmọ Lefi tí ó wà lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ sí ń ru àpótí ẹ̀rí Ọlọ́run, wọ́n sì gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí Ọlọ́run náà sọ̀kalẹ̀; Abiatari sí gòkè, títí gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn sì fi dẹ́kun àti máa kọjá láti ìlú wá.
And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.
25 Ọba sì wí fún Sadoku pé, “Sì tún gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí Ọlọ́run náà padà sí ìlú, bí èmi bá rí ojúrere gbà lọ́dọ̀ Olúwa, yóò sì tún mú mi padà wá, yóò sì fi àpótí ẹ̀rí náà hàn mí àti ibùgbé rẹ̀.
And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of Yhwh, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation:
26 Ṣùgbọ́n bí òun bá sì wí pé, ‘Èmi kò ní inú dídùn sí ọ,’ wò ó, èmi nìyìí, jẹ́ kí òun ó ṣe sí mi gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti tọ́ ní ojú rẹ̀.”
But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.
The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
28 Wò ó, èmi ó dúró ní pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ ijù náà, títí ọ̀rọ̀ ó fi ti ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ wá láti sọ fún mi.”
See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.
29 Sadoku àti Abiatari sì gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí Ọlọ́run padà sí Jerusalẹmu, wọ́n sì gbé ibẹ̀.
Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.
30 Dafidi sì ń gòkè lọ ní òkè igi olifi, o sì ń sọkún bí ó ti ń gòkè lọ, ó sì bo orí rẹ̀, ó ń lọ láìní bàtà ní ẹsẹ̀, gbogbo ènìyàn tí o wà lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, olúkúlùkù ọkùnrin sì bo orí rẹ̀, wọ́n sì ń gòkè lọ, wọ́n ń sọkún bí wọ́n ti ń gòkè lọ.
And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.
31 Ẹnìkan sì sọ fún Dafidi pé, “Ahitofeli wà nínú àwọn aṣọ̀tẹ̀ pẹ̀lú Absalomu.” Dafidi sì wí pé, “Olúwa, èmi bẹ̀ ọ́, sọ ìmọ̀ Ahitofeli di asán.”
And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Yhwh, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
32 Ó sì ṣe, Dafidi dé orí òkè, níbi tí ó gbé wólẹ̀ sin Ọlọ́run, sì wò ó, Huṣai ará Arki sì wá láti pàdé rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú aṣọ rẹ̀ yíya, àti erùpẹ̀, lórí rẹ̀.
And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:
33 Dafidi sì wí fún un pé, “Bí ìwọ bá bá mi kọjá, ìwọ ó sì jẹ́ ìdíwọ́ fún mi.
Unto whom David said, If thou passest on with me, then thou shalt be a burden unto me:
34 Bí ìwọ bá sì padà sí ìlú, tí o sì wí fún Absalomu pé, ‘Èmi ó ṣe ìránṣẹ́ rẹ ọba, gẹ́gẹ́ bí èmi ti ṣe ìránṣẹ́ baba rẹ nígbà àtijọ́, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi ó sì jẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ rẹ nísinsin yìí,’ kí ìwọ sì bá ìmọ̀ Ahitofeli jẹ́.
But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father’s servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
35 Ṣé Sadoku àti Abiatari àwọn àlùfáà wà níbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú rẹ̀? Yóò sì ṣe, ohunkóhun tí ìwọ bá gbọ́ láti ilé ọba wá, ìwọ ó sì sọ fún Sadoku àti Abiatari àwọn àlùfáà.
And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king’s house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
36 Wò ó, àwọn ọmọ wọn méjèèjì sì wà níbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú wọn, Ahimasi ọmọ Sadoku, àti Jonatani ọmọ Abiatari; láti ọwọ́ wọn ni ẹ̀yin ó sì rán ohunkóhun tí ẹ̀yin bá gbọ́ sí mi.”
Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok’s son, and Jonathan Abiathar’s son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear.
37 Huṣai ọ̀rẹ́ Dafidi sì wá sí ìlú, Absalomu sì wá sí Jerusalẹmu.
So Hushai David’s friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
