< 2 Samuel 14 >

1 Joabu ọmọ Seruiah sì kíyèsi i, pé ọkàn ọba sì fà sí Absalomu.
And he perceived Joab [the] son of Zeruiah that [the] heart of the king [was] towards Absalom.
2 Joabu sì ránṣẹ́ sí Tekoa, ó sì mú ọlọ́gbọ́n obìnrin kan láti ibẹ̀ wá, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Èmi bẹ̀ ọ́, ṣe bí ẹni tí ń ṣọ̀fọ̀, kí o sì fi aṣọ ọ̀fọ̀ sára, kí o má sì ṣe fi òróró pa ara, kí o sì dàbí obìnrin ti ó ti ń ṣọ̀fọ̀ fún òkú lọ́jọ́ púpọ̀.
And he sent Joab Tekoa towards and he took from there a woman wise and he said to her play [the] mourner please and put on please garments of mourning and may not you anoint yourself oil and you will be like a woman this days many [who has been] mourning on a dead [person].
3 Kí o sì tọ ọba wá, kí o sọ fún un gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀rọ̀ yìí.” Joabu sì fi ọ̀rọ̀ sí lẹ́nu.
And you will go to the king and you will speak to him according to the word this and he put Joab the words in mouth her.
4 Nígbà tí obìnrin àrá Tekoa sì ń fẹ́ sọ̀rọ̀ fún ọba, ó wólẹ̀, ó dojúbolẹ̀, o sí bu ọlá fún un, o sì wí pé, “Ọba, gbà mi.”
And she said the woman Tekoite to the king and she fell on face her [the] ground towards and she bowed down and she said save! O king.
5 Ọba sì bi í léèrè pé, “Kín ni o ṣe ọ́?” Òun sì dáhùn wí pé, “Nítòótọ́ opó ni èmi ń ṣe, ọkọ mi sì kú.
And he said to her the king what? [is] to you and she said indeed [am] a woman a widow I and he has died husband my.
6 Ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ̀ sì ti ní ọmọkùnrin méjì, àwọn méjèèjì sì jọ jà lóko, kò sì si ẹni tí yóò là wọ́n, èkínní sì lu èkejì, ó sì pa á.
And [belonged] to maidservant your two sons and they struggled together [the] two of them in the field and there not [was] a deliverer between them and he struck him the one the one and he killed him.
7 Sì wò ó, gbogbo ìdílé dìde sí ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ̀, wọ́n sì wí pé, ‘Fi ẹni tí ó pa arákùnrin rẹ fún wa, àwa ó sì pa á ní ipò ẹ̀mí arákùnrin rẹ̀ tí ó pa, àwa ó sì pa àrólé náà run pẹ̀lú.’ Wọn ó sì pa iná mi tí ó kù, wọn kì yóò sì fi orúkọ tàbí ẹni tí ó kú sílẹ̀ fún ọkọ mi ní ayé.”
And there! it has risen up all the clan on maidservant your and they have said deliver up - [the] [one who] struck down brother his so we may put to death him for [the] life of brother his whom he killed and let us destroy also the heir and they will extinguish coal my which it is left to not (to establish *Q(K)*) for husband my a name and a remnant on [the] surface of the ground.
8 Ọba sì wí fún obìnrin náà pé, “Lọ sí ilé rẹ̀, èmi ó sì kìlọ̀ nítorí rẹ.”
And he said the king to the woman go to house your and I I will command on you.
9 Obìnrin ará Tekoa náà sì wí fún ọba pé, “Olúwa mi, ọba, jẹ́ kí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ náà wà lórí mi, àti lórí ìdílé baba mí; kí ọba àti ìtẹ́ rẹ̀ ó jẹ́ aláìlẹ́bi.”
And she said the woman Tekoite to the king [be] on me O lord my the king the iniquity and on [the] house of father my and the king and throne his [be] innocent.
10 Ọba sì wí pé, “Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá sọ̀rọ̀ sí ọ, mú ẹni náà tọ̀ mí wá, òun kì yóò sì tọ́ ọ mọ́.”
And he said the king the [one who] speaks to you and you will bring him to me and not he will repeat again to touch you.
11 Ó sì wí pé, “Èmi bẹ̀ ọ́ jẹ́ kí ọba ó rántí Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ̀, kí olùgbẹ̀san ẹ̀jẹ̀ má ṣe ní ipá láti ṣe ìparun, kí wọn o má bá a pa ọmọ mi!” Òun sì wí pé, “Bí Olúwa ti ń bẹ láààyè ọ̀kan nínú irun orí ọmọ rẹ ki yóò bọ sílẹ̀.”
And she said let him remember please the king Yahweh God your (from increasing *Q(k)*) [the] avenger of blood to destroy and not they will destroy son my and he said [by] [the] life of Yahweh if it will fall one of [the] hair[s] of son your [the] ground towards.
12 Obìnrin náà sì wí pé, “Èmí bẹ̀ ọ́, jẹ́ kí ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ sọ̀rọ̀ kan fún olúwa mi ọba.” Òun si wí pé, “Máa wí.”
And she said the woman let her speak please maidservant your to lord my the king a word and he said speak.
13 Obìnrin náà sì wí pé, “Nítorí kín ni ìwọ sì ṣe ro irú nǹkan yìí sí àwọn ènìyàn Ọlọ́run? Nítorí pé ní sísọ nǹkan yìí ọba ní ẹ̀bi, nítorí pé ọba kò mú ìsáǹsá rẹ̀ bọ̀ wá ilé.
And she said the woman and why? have you planned like this on [the] people of God and because has spoken the king the word this like a guilty [person] to not to bring back the king banished [son] his.
14 Nítorí pé àwa ó sá à kú, a ó sì dàbí omi tí a tú sílẹ̀ tí a kò sì lè ṣàjọ mọ́; nítorí bí Ọlọ́run kò ti gbà ẹ̀mí rẹ̀, ó sì ti ṣe ọ̀nà kí a má bá a lé ìsáǹsá rẹ̀ kúrò lọ́dọ̀ rẹ.
For certainly we will die and [we are] like waters which are spilled [the] ground towards which not they will be gathered and not he takes away God life and he plans plans to not he will be cast out from him a banished [one].
15 “Ǹjẹ́ nítorí náà ni èmi sì ṣe wá sọ nǹkan yìí fún olúwa mi ọba, bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé àwọn ènìyàn ti dẹ́rùbà mí; ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ sì wí pé, ‘Ǹjẹ́ èmi ó sọ fún ọba; ó lè rí bẹ́ẹ̀ pé ọba yóò ṣe ìfẹ́ ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ̀ fún un.
And now when I have come to speak to the king lord my the word this that they have made afraid me the people and she said maidservant your let me speak please to the king perhaps he will do the king [the] word of maidservant his.
16 Nítorí pé ọba ò gbọ́, láti gbà ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ sílẹ̀ lọ́wọ́ ọkùnrin náà tí ó ń fẹ́ gé èmi àti ọmọ mi pẹ̀lú kúrò nínú ilẹ̀ ìní Ọlọ́run.’
For he will hear the king to deliver maidservant his from [the] hand of the man to destroy me and son my together from [the] inheritance of God.
17 “Ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ̀ sì wí pé, ‘Ǹjẹ́ ọ̀rọ̀ ọba olúwa mi yóò sì jásí ìtùnú; nítorí bí angẹli Ọlọ́run bẹ́ẹ̀ ni olúwa mi ọba láti mọ rere àti búburú: Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ yóò sì wà pẹ̀lú rẹ.’”
And she said maidservant your may it become please [the] word of lord my the king rest for - like [the] angel of God [is] so lord my the king to hear good and bad and Yahweh God your may he be with you.
18 Ọba sì dáhùn, ó sì wí fún obìnrin náà pé, “Má ṣe fi nǹkan tí èmi ó béèrè lọ́wọ́ rẹ pamọ́ fún mi, èmi bẹ̀ ọ́.” Obìnrin náà wí pé, “Jẹ́ kí olúwa mi ọba máa wí?”
And he answered the king and he said to the woman may not please you hide from me anything which I [am] asking you and she said the woman let him speak please lord my the king.
19 Ọba sì wí pé, “Ọwọ́ Joabu kò ha wà pẹ̀lú rẹ nínú gbogbo èyí?” Obìnrin náà sì dáhùn ó sì wí pé, “Bí ẹ̀mí rẹ ti ń bẹ láààyè, olúwa mi ọba, kò sí ìyípadà sí ọwọ́ ọ̀tún, tàbí sí ọwọ́ òsì nínú gbogbo èyí tí olúwa mi ọba ti wí, nítorí pé Joabu ìránṣẹ́ rẹ, òun ni ó rán mi, òun ni ó sì fi gbogbo ọ̀rọ̀ wọ̀nyí sí ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ lẹ́nu.
And he said the king ¿ [is] [the] hand of Joab with you in all this and she answered the woman and she said [by] [the] life of self your O lord my the king if there is - to go to [the] right and to go to [the] left from all that he has spoken lord my the king for servant your Joab he he commanded me and he he put in [the] mouth of maidservant your all the words these.
20 Láti mú irú ọ̀rọ̀ wọ̀nyí wá ni Joabu ìránṣẹ́ rẹ ṣe ṣe nǹkan yìí: olúwa mi sì gbọ́n, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọgbọ́n angẹli Ọlọ́run, láti mọ gbogbo nǹkan tí ń bẹ̀ ní ayé.”
In order to change [the] face of the matter he did servant your Joab the thing this and lord my [is] wise like [the] wisdom of [the] angel of God to know all that [is] in the land.
21 Ọba sì wí fún Joabu pé, “Wò ó, èmi ó ṣe nǹkan yìí, nítorí náà lọ, kí o sì mú ọmọdékùnrin náà Absalomu padà wá.”
And he said the king to Joab here! please I do the thing this and go bring back the young man Absalom.
22 Joabu sì wólẹ̀ ó dojú rẹ̀ bolẹ̀, ó sì tẹríba fún un, ó sì súre fún ọba. Joabu sì wí pé, “Lónìí ni ìránṣẹ́ rẹ mọ̀ pé, èmi rí oore-ọ̀fẹ́ gbà lójú rẹ, olúwa mi, ọba, nítorí pé ọba ṣe ìfẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀.”
And he fell Joab to face his [the] ground towards and he bowed down and he blessed the king and he said Joab this day he knows servant your that I have found favor in view your O lord my the king that he has done the king [the] word of (servant your. *Q(K)*)
23 Joabu sì dìde, ó sì lọ sí Geṣuri, ó sì mú Absalomu wá sí Jerusalẹmu.
And he arose Joab and he went Geshur towards and he brought Absalom Jerusalem.
24 Ọba sì wí pé, “Jẹ́ kí ó yípadà lọ sí ilé rẹ̀, má ṣe jẹ́ kí ó rí ojú mi.” Absalomu sì yípadà sí ilé rẹ̀, kò sì rí ojú ọba.
And he said the king he will turn to house his and face my not he will see and he turned Absalom to house his and [the] face of the king not he saw.
25 Kó sì sí arẹwà kan ní gbogbo Israẹli tí à bá yìn bí Absalomu: láti àtẹ́lẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ títí dé àtàrí rẹ̀ kò sí àbùkù kan lára rẹ̀.
And like Absalom not he was a man handsome in all Israel to praise exceedingly from [the] sole of foot his and to scalp his not it was in him a blemish.
26 Nígbà tí ó bá sì rẹ́ irun orí rẹ̀ (nítorí pé lọ́dọọdún ni òun máa ń rẹ́ ẹ. Nígbà tí ó bá wúwo fún un, òun a sì máa rẹ́ ẹ) òun sì wọn irun orí rẹ̀, ó sì jásí igba ṣékélì nínú òsùwọ̀n ọba.
And when shaved he head his and it was from [the] end of days - to the days when he shaved for [it was] heavy on him and he shaved it and he weighed [the] hair of head his two hundred shekels by [the] weight of the king.
27 A sì bí ọmọkùnrin mẹ́ta fún Absalomu àti ọmọbìnrin kan ti orúkọ rẹ̀ ń jẹ́ Tamari: òun sì jẹ́ obìnrin tí ó lẹ́wà lójú.
And they were born to Absalom three sons and a daughter one and name her [was] Tamar she she was a woman beautiful of appearance.
28 Absalomu sì gbé ni ọdún méjì ní Jerusalẹmu kò sì rí ojú ọba.
And he dwelt Absalom in Jerusalem two years days and [the] face of the king not he saw.
29 Absalomu sì ránṣẹ́ sí Joabu, láti rán an sí ọba, ṣùgbọ́n òun kò fẹ́ wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀; ó sì ránṣẹ́ lẹ́ẹ̀kejì òun kò sì fẹ́ wá.
And he sent Absalom to Joab to send him to the king and not he was willing to come to him and he sent again a second [time] and not he was willing to come.
30 Ó sì wí fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ pé, “Wò ó, oko Joabu gbé ti èmi, ó sì ní ọkà barle níbẹ̀; ẹ lọ kí ẹ sì ti iná bọ̀ ọ́.” Àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Absalomu sì tiná bọ oko náà.
And he said to servants his see [the] portion of land of Joab [is] to hand my and [belongs] to him there barley go (and set on fire it *Q(K)*) with fire and they set on fire [the] servants of Absalom the portion of land with fire.
31 Joabu sì dìde, ó sì tọ Absalomu wá ní ilé, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Èéṣe tí àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ fi tiná bọ oko mi?”
And he arose Joab and he went to Absalom the house towards and he said to him why? have they set on fire servants your the portion of land which [belongs] to me with fire.
32 Absalomu sì dá Joabu lóhùn pé, “Wò ó, èmi ránṣẹ́ sí ọ, wí pé, ‘Wá níhìn-ín yìí, èmi ó sì rán ọ lọ sọ́dọ̀ ọba, láti béèrè pé, “Kí ni èmi ti Geṣuri wá si? Ìbá sàn fún mí bí ó ṣe pé èmi wà lọ́hùn ún síbẹ̀!”’ Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí jẹ́ kí èmi lọ síwájú ọba bí ó bá sì ṣe ẹ̀bi ń bẹ nínú mi, kí ó pa mí.”
And he said Absalom to Joab here! I sent to you - saying come here so let me send you to the king saying why? have I come from Geshur [was] good for me still I [was] there and therefore let me see [the] face of the king and if there in me [is] iniquity and he will kill me.
33 Joabu sì tọ ọba wá, ó sì rò fún un: ó sì ránṣẹ́ pe Absalomu, òun sì wá sọ́dọ̀ ọba, ó tẹríba fún un, ó sì dojú rẹ̀ bolẹ̀ níwájú ọba, ọba sì fi ẹnu ko Absalomu lẹ́nu.
And he went Joab to the king and he told to him and he summoned Absalom and he came to the king and he bowed down to him on face his [the] ground towards before the king and he kissed the king Absalom.
