< 2 Kings 24 >

1 Nígbà ìjọba Jehoiakimu, Nebukadnessari ọba Babeli gbógun sí ilẹ̀ náà, Jehoiakimu sì di ẹrú rẹ̀ fún ọdún mẹ́ta. Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà náà ó yí ọkàn rẹ̀ padà ó sì ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí Nebukadnessari.
In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
2 Olúwa sì rán àwọn ará Babeli, àwọn ará Aramu, àwọn ará Moabu àti àwọn ọmọ Ammoni. Ó rán wọn láti pa Juda run, ní ìbámu pẹ̀lú ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tí ó ti sọ nípasẹ̀ àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ wòlíì.
And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servants the prophets.
3 Nítòótọ́ eléyìí ṣẹlẹ̀ sí Juda gẹ́gẹ́ bí àṣẹ Olúwa, láti mú wọn kúrò níwájú rẹ̀ nítorí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ Manase àti gbogbo nǹkan tí ó ṣe.
Surely at the commandment of the LORD came [this] upon Judah, to remove [them] out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
4 Àti pẹ̀lú ẹ̀jẹ̀ aláìṣẹ̀ tí a ta sílẹ̀ nítorí ó ti kún Jerusalẹmu pẹ̀lú ẹ̀jẹ̀ aláìṣẹ̀ tí Olúwa kò sì fẹ́ láti dáríjì.
And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.
5 Ní ti ìyókù iṣẹ́ ìjọba Jehoiakimu, àti gbogbo nǹkan tí ó ṣe, ṣé wọn kò kọ wọ́n sínú ìwé ìtàn ọba Juda?
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
6 Jehoiakimu sùn pẹ̀lú baba rẹ̀, Jehoiakini ọmọ rẹ̀ sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt to the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.
8 Jehoiakini jẹ́ ẹni ọdún méjìdínlógún nígbà tí ó di ọba, ó sì jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu fún oṣù mẹ́ta. Orúkọ ìyá rẹ̀ a sì máa jẹ́ Nehuṣita ọmọbìnrin Elnatani; ó wá láti Jerusalẹmu.
Jehoiachin [was] eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother's name [was] Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
9 Ó sì ṣe búburú ní ojú Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí baba rẹ̀ ti ṣe.
And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.
10 Ní àkókò náà àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Nebukadnessari ọba Babeli gbé ogun wá Jerusalẹmu, wọ́n sì gbé dó ti ìlú náà,

And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
13 Gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti sọ Nebukadnessari kó gbogbo ìṣúra láti inú ilé Olúwa àti láti ilé ọba, ó sì mú u lọ gbogbo ohun èlò wúrà ti Solomoni ọba Israẹli ti kọ́ fún Olúwa.
And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.
14 Ó kó wọn lọ sí ìgbèkùn gbogbo Jerusalẹmu: gbogbo ìjòyè àti àwọn akọni alágbára ọkùnrin, àti gbogbo oníṣọ̀nà àti ọlọ́nà tí àpapọ̀ rẹ̀ jẹ́ ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́wàá, àwọn tálákà ènìyàn ilẹ̀ náà nìkan ni ó kù.
And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, [even] ten thousand captives, and all the artificers, and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
15 Nebukadnessari mú Jehoiakini ní ìgbèkùn lọ sí Babeli. Ó sì tún mú ìyá ọba láti Jerusalẹmu lọ sí Babeli, ìyàwó rẹ̀ àwọn ìjòyè rẹ̀ àti àwọn olórí ilé náà.
And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, [those] carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16 Àti gbogbo àwọn ọkùnrin ọlọ́lá tí ó jẹ́ ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbàárin alágbára ọkùnrin, àti àwọn oníṣọ̀nà àti alágbẹ̀dẹ, ẹgbẹ̀rún, gbogbo àwọn alágbára tí ó yẹ fún ogun ni ọba Babeli kó ní ìgbèkùn lọ sí Babeli.
And all the men of might, [even] seven thousand, and artificers and smiths a thousand, all [that were] strong [and] apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
17 Ọba Babeli sì mú Mattaniah arákùnrin baba Jehoiakini, jẹ ọba ní ìlú rẹ̀ ó sì yí orúkọ rẹ̀ padà sí Sedekiah.
And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

Zedekiah [was] twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name [was] Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
19 Ó sì ṣe búburú ní ojú Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Jehoiakimu ti ṣe.
And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
20 Nítorí tí ìbínú Olúwa, ni gbogbo èyí ṣe ṣẹ sí Jerusalẹmu, àti Juda, ní òpin ó ta wọ́n nù kúrò níwájú rẹ̀. Nísinsin yìí Sedekiah sì ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí ọba Babeli.
For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
