< 2 Kings 15 >
1 Ní ọdún kẹtàdínlọ́gbọ̀n tí Jeroboamu ọba Israẹli, Asariah ọmọ Amasiah ọba Juda sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní jẹ ọba.
In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam, the king of Israel: Azariah, the son of Amaziah, reigned as king of Judah.
2 Ó jẹ́ ẹni ọdún mẹ́rìndínlógún nígbà tí ó di ọba, ó sì jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu fún ọdún méjìléláàádọ́ta. Orúkọ ìyá rẹ̀ a máa jẹ́ Jekoliah; ó wá láti Jerusalẹmu.
He was sixteen years old when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
3 Ó ṣe ohun tí ó dára lójú Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí baba rẹ̀ Amasiah ti ṣe.
And he did what was pleasing before the Lord, in accord with all that his father, Amaziah, did.
4 Àwọn ibi gíga, bí ó ti wù kí ó rí, a kò ṣí wọn kúrò, àwọn ènìyàn náà tẹ̀síwájú láti máa rú ẹbọ àti sun tùràrí níbẹ̀.
Yet truly, he did not demolish the high places. And still the people were sacrificing, and burning incense, in the high places.
5 Olúwa sì kọlu ọba náà pẹ̀lú ẹ̀tẹ̀, títí di ọjọ́ tí ó kú, ó sì ń gbé ní ilé ọ̀tọ̀. Jotamu, ọmọ ọba sì tọ́jú ààfin, ó sì ń darí àwọn ènìyàn ilẹ̀ náà.
Now the Lord struck the king, and he became a leper, even until the day of his death. And he was living in a separate house by himself. And truly, Jotham, the son of the king, governed the palace, and he judged the people of the land.
6 Fún ti ìyókù iṣẹ́ nígbà ìjọba Asariah, pẹ̀lú gbogbo ohun tí ó ṣe, ṣé a kò kọ wọ́n sínú ìwé ìtàn ayé àwọn ọba Juda.
Now the rest of the words of Azariah, and all that he did, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah?
7 Asariah sinmi pẹ̀lú àwọn baba a rẹ̀. A sì sin ín sí ẹ̀bá wọn ní ìlú ńlá ti Dafidi. Jotamu ọmọ rẹ̀ sì rọ́pò rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọba.
And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his ancestors in the city of David. And Jotham, his son, reigned in his place.
8 Ní ọdún kejìdínlógójì Asariah ọba Juda. Sekariah ọmọ Jeroboamu di ọba Israẹli ní Samaria, ó sì jẹ ọba fún oṣù mẹ́fà.
In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah, the king of Judah: Zechariah, the son of Jeroboam, reigned over Israel, in Samaria, for six months.
9 Ó ṣe búburú lójú Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn baba rẹ̀ tí ṣe. Kò sì yípadà kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ Jeroboamu ọmọ Nebati, èyí tí ó ti fa Israẹli láti dá.
And he did what is evil before the Lord, just as his fathers had done. He did not withdraw from the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.
10 Ṣallumu ọmọ Jabesi dìtẹ̀ sí Sekariah. Ó dojúkọ ọ́ níwájú àwọn ènìyàn, ó sì pa á, ó sì jẹ ọba dípò rẹ̀.
Then Shallum, the son of Jabesh, conspired against him. And he struck him openly, and killed him. And he reigned in his place.
11 Fún ti ìyókù iṣẹ́ nígbà ìjọba Sekariah. Wọ́n kọ ọ́ sínú ìwé ìtàn ayé àwọn ọba Israẹli.
Now the rest of the words of Zechariah, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
12 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tí a sọ fún Jehu jẹ́ ìmúṣẹ: “Àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ yóò jókòó lórí ìtẹ́ Israẹli títí dé ìran kẹrin.”
This was the word of the Lord, which he spoke to Jehu, saying: “Your sons, even to the fourth generation, shall sit upon the throne of Israel.” And so it happened.
13 Ṣallumu ọmọ Jabesi di ọba ní ọdún kọkàndínlógójì Ussiah ọba Juda, ó sì jẹ ọba ní Samaria fún oṣù kan.
Shallum, the son of Jabesh, reigned in the thirty-ninth year of Azariah, the king of Judah. And he reigned for one month, in Samaria.
14 Nígbà náà Menahemu ọmọ Gadi lọ láti Tirsa sí Samaria. Ó dojúkọ Ṣallumu ọmọ Jabesi ní Samaria, ó pa á ó sì rọ́pò rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọba.
And Menahem, the son of Gadi, ascended from Tirzah. And he went into Samaria, and he struck Shallum, the son of Jabesh, in Samaria. And he killed him, and reigned in his place.
15 Fún ti ìyókù iṣẹ́ ìjọba Ṣallumu, àti ìdìtẹ̀ tí ó dì, a kọ wọ́n sínú ìwé ìtàn ayé àwọn ọba Israẹli.
Now the rest of the words of Shallum, and his conspiracy, by which he carried out treachery, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
16 Ní ìgbà tí Menahemu ń jáde bọ̀ láti Tirsa, ó dojúkọ Tifisa àti gbogbo ènìyàn tí ó wà ní ìlú ńlá àti agbègbè rẹ̀, nítorí wọn kọ̀ láti sí ẹnu ibodè. Ó yọ Tifisa kúrò lẹ́nu iṣẹ́, ó sì la inú gbogbo àwọn obìnrin aboyún.
Then Menahem struck Tirzah, and all who were in it, and its borders around Tirzah. For they were not willing to open to him. And he killed all of its pregnant women, and he tore them open.
17 Ní ọdún kọkàndínlógójì ti Asariah ọba Juda, Menahemu ọmọ Gadi di ọba Israẹli, ó sì jẹ ọba ní Samaria fún ọdún mẹ́wàá.
In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah, the king of Judah: Menahem, son of Gadi, reigned over Israel for ten years, in Samaria.
18 Ó ṣe búburú lójú Olúwa, ní gbogbo ìjọba rẹ̀. Kò sì yípadà kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ Jeroboamu ọmọ Nebati, èyí tí ó ti fa Israẹli láti dá.
And he did what was evil before the Lord. He did not withdraw from the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin, during all his days.
19 Nígbà náà, Pulu ọba Asiria, gbógun ti ilẹ̀ náà, Menahemu sì fún un ní ẹgbẹ̀rin tálẹ́ǹtì fàdákà láti fi gba àtìlẹ́yìn rẹ̀ àti láti fún ìdúró tirẹ̀ lágbára lórí ìjọba.
Then Pul, the king of the Assyrians, came into the land. And Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, so that he would be a help to him, and so that he might strengthen his kingdom.
20 Menahemu fi agbára gba owó náà lọ́wọ́ Israẹli. Gbogbo ọkùnrin ọlọ́lá ní láti dá àádọ́ta ṣékélì fàdákà láti fún ọba Asiria. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ọba Asiria padà sẹ́yìn, kò sì dúró ní ilẹ̀ náà mọ́.
And Menahem proclaimed a tax upon Israel, on all who were powerful and wealthy, so that each one would give to the king of the Assyrians fifty shekels of silver. Then the king of the Assyrians turned back, and he did not remain in the land.

Now the rest of the words of Menahem, and all that he did, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
22 Menahemu sinmi pẹ̀lú àwọn baba rẹ̀. Pekahiah ọmọ rẹ̀ sì rọ́pò rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọba.
And Menahem slept with his fathers. And Pekahiah, his son, reigned in his place.
23 Ní ọdún kẹ́ẹ̀dógún Asariah ọba Juda, Pekahiah ọmọ Menahemu di ọba Israẹli ní Samaria, ó sì jẹ ọba fún ọdún méjì.
In the fiftieth year of Azariah, the king of Judah: Pekahiah, the son of Menahem, reigned over Israel, in Samaria, for two years.
24 Pekahiah ṣe búburú lójú Olúwa. Kò yípadà kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ Jeroboamu ọmọ Nebati, èyí tí ó fa Israẹli láti dá.
And he did what was evil before the Lord. He did not withdraw from the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.
25 Ọ̀kan lára àwọn olórí ìjòyè rẹ̀ Peka ọmọ Remaliah, dìtẹ̀ sí i. Ó mú àádọ́ta àwọn ọkùnrin ti àwọn ará Gileadi pẹ̀lú u rẹ̀. Ó pa Pekahiah pẹ̀lú Argobu àti Arie ní odi ààfin ọba ní Samaria. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Peka pa Pekahiah, ó sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
Then Pekah, the son of Remaliah, his commander, conspired against him. And he struck him in Samaria, in the tower of the king’s house, near Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men from the sons of the Gileadites. And he killed him, and reigned in his place.
26 Fún ti ìyókù iṣẹ́ ìjọba Pekahiah, gbogbo ohun tí ó ṣe, ni a kọ sínú ìwé ìtàn ayé àwọn ọba Israẹli.
Now the rest of the words of Pekahiah, and all that he did, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
27 Ní ọdún kejìléláàádọ́ta Asariah ọba Juda, Peka ọmọ Remaliah di ọba Israẹli ní Samaria. Ó sì jẹ ọba fún ogún ọdún.
In the fifty-second year of Azariah, the king of Judah: Pekah, the son of Remaliah, reigned over Israel, in Samaria, for twenty years.
28 Ó sì ṣe búburú lójú Olúwa, kò sì yípadà kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ Jeroboamu ọmọ Nebati, èyí tí ó fa Israẹli láti dá.
And he did what was evil before the Lord. He did not withdraw from the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.
29 Ní ìgbà Peka ọba Israẹli, Tiglat-Pileseri ọba Asiria wá, ó sì mú Ijoni, Abeli-Beti-Maaka, Janoa, Kedeṣi àti Hasori. Ó gba Gileadi àti Galili pẹ̀lú gbogbo ilẹ̀ Naftali. Ó sì kó àwọn ènìyàn ní ìgbèkùn lọ sí Asiria.
In the days of Pekah, the king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser, the king of Assyria, arrived and captured Ijon, and Abel Bethmaacah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, and the entire land of Naphtali. And he took them away into Assyria.
30 Nígbà náà, Hosea ọmọ Ela, dìtẹ̀ sí Peka ọmọ Remaliah. Ó dojúkọ ọ́, ó sì pa á, ó sì rọ́pò rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọba ní ogún ọdún Jotamu ọmọ Ussiah.
Then Hoshea, the son of Elah, conspired and carried out treachery against Pekah, the son of Remaliah. And he struck him, and killed him. And he reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham, the son of Uzziah.
31 Fún ti ìyókù iṣẹ́ nígbà ìjọba Peka, àti gbogbo ohun tí ó ṣe, ṣé a kò kọ wọ́n sínú ìwé ìtàn ayé àwọn ọba Israẹli?
Now the rest of the words of Pekah, and all that he did, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
32 Ní ọdún keje Peka ọmọ Remaliah ọba Israẹli, Jotamu ọmọ Ussiah ọba Juda bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní jẹ ọba.
In the second year of Pekah, the son of Remaliah, the king of Israel: Jotham, son of Uzziah, reigned as king of Judah.
33 Ó jẹ́ ẹni ọdún mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dọ́gbọ̀n nígbà tí ó di ọba. Ó sì jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu fún ọdún mẹ́rìndínlógún. Orúkọ ìyá rẹ̀ a máa jẹ́ Jeruṣa ọmọbìnrin Sadoku.
He was twenty-five years old when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.
34 Ó ṣe ohun tí ó tọ́ lójú Olúwa gẹ́gẹ́ bí baba a rẹ̀ Ussiah ti ṣe.
And he did what was pleasing before the Lord. In accord with all that his father, Uzziah, had done, so he did.
35 Àwọn ibi gíga, bí ó ti wù kí ó rí, a kò ṣí wọn kúrò àwọn ènìyàn tẹ̀síwájú láti rú ẹbọ àti láti sun tùràrí níbẹ̀: Jotamu tún ìlẹ̀kùn gíga tó ń kọ́ ní ti ilé tí a kọ́ fún Olúwa ṣe.
Yet truly, he did not take away the high places. And still the people were immolating, and burning incense, in the high places. But he edified the gate of the house of the Lord to be very sublime.
36 Fún ti ìyókù iṣẹ́ nígbà ìjọba Jotamu, àti ohun tí ó ṣe, ṣé a kò kọ wọ́n sínú ìwé ìtàn ayé àwọn ọba Juda?
Now the rest of the words of Jotham, and all that he did, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah?
37 (Ní ayé ìgbàanì, Olúwa bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní rán Resini ọba Siria àti Peka ọmọ Remaliah láti dojúkọ Juda).
In those days, the Lord began to send, into Judah, Rezin, the king of Syria, and Pekah, the son of Remaliah.
38 Jotamu sinmi pẹ̀lú àwọn baba rẹ̀. A sì sin ín pẹ̀lú wọn ní ìlú ńlá Dafidi, ìlú ńlá ti baba rẹ̀. Ahasi ọmọ rẹ̀ sì rọ́pò rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọba.
And Jotham slept with his fathers, and he was buried with them in the city of David, his father. And Ahaz, his son, reigned in his place.
