< 2 John 1 >

1 Alàgbà, Sì àyànfẹ́ obìnrin ọlọ́lá àti àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀, àwọn tí mo fẹ́ ní òtítọ́, kì í sì í ṣe èmi nìkan, ṣùgbọ́n gbogbo àwọn tí ó mọ òtítọ́ pẹ̀lú;
The elder, to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not I only, but also all those who know the truth,
2 nítorí òtítọ́ tí ń gbé inú wa, yóò sì bá wa gbé títí: (aiōn g165)
for the truth’s sake, which remains in us, and it will be with us forever: (aiōn g165)
3 Oore-ọ̀fẹ́, àánú, àti àlàáfíà, láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run Baba, àti láti ọ̀dọ̀ Jesu Kristi, Ọmọ Baba, yóò wà pẹ̀lú wa nínú òtítọ́ àti nínú ìfẹ́.
Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4 Mo yọ̀ gidigidi pé mo rí nínú àwọn ọmọ rẹ tí ń rìn nínú òtítọ́, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Baba ti pa àṣẹ fún wa.
I rejoice greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, even as we have been commanded by the Father.
5 Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí, mo bẹ̀ ọ́, obìnrin ọlọ́lá, kì í ṣe bí ẹni pé èmi ń kọ̀wé òfin tuntun kan sí ọ, bí kò ṣe èyí ti àwa tí ní ní àtètèkọ́ṣe, pé kí àwa fẹ́ràn ara wa.
Now I beg you, dear lady, not as though I wrote to you a new commandment, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6 Èyí sì ni ìfẹ́, pé, kí àwa máa rin nípa òfin rẹ̀, èyí ni òfin náà, àní bí ẹ ti gbọ́ ni àtètèkọ́ṣe, pé, kí ẹ̀yin rìn nínú rẹ̀.
This is love, that we should walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, even as you heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who don’t confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the Antichrist.
8 Ẹ kíyèsára yín, kí ẹ má ba à sọ iṣẹ́ tí ẹ tí ṣe nù, ṣùgbọ́n kí ẹ̀yin lè rí èrè kíkún gbà.
Watch yourselves, that we don’t lose the things which we have accomplished, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Olúkúlùkù ẹni tí ó bá ń rú òfin tí kò si dúró nínú ẹ̀kọ́ Kristi, kò mọ Ọlọ́run. Ẹni tí ó bá dúró nínú ẹ̀kọ́, òun ni ó mọ Baba àti Ọmọ.
Whoever transgresses and doesn’t remain in the teaching of Christ doesn’t have God. He who remains in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
10 Bí ẹnikẹ́ni bá tọ̀ yín wá, tí kò sì mu ẹ̀kọ́ yìí wá, ẹ má ṣe gbà á sí ilé, kí ẹ má sì ṣe kí i kú ààbọ̀.
If anyone comes to you and doesn’t bring this teaching, don’t receive him into your house, and don’t welcome him,
11 Nítorí ẹni tí ó bá kí kú ààbọ̀, ó ní ọwọ́ nínú iṣẹ́ búburú rẹ̀.
for he who welcomes him participates in his evil deeds.
12 Bí mo tilẹ̀ ní ohun púpọ̀ láti ṣe alábápín pẹ̀lú yín, síbẹ̀ èmi kò fẹ́ lo ìwé ìkọ̀wé àti jẹ́lú ìkọ̀wé. Ṣùgbọ́n èmi ní ìrètí láti tọ̀ yín wá àti láti bá a yín sọ̀rọ̀ lójúkojú, kí ayọ̀ yín bá à le è kún.
Having many things to write to you, I don’t want to do so with paper and ink, but I hope to come to you and to speak face to face, that our joy may be made full.
13 Àwọn ọmọ arábìnrin rẹ àyànfẹ́ kí ọ.
The children of your chosen sister greet you. Amen.
