< 2 Corinthians 4 >

1 Nítorí náà, níwọ̀n bí ó ti jẹ́ pé nípa àánú Ọlọ́run ni a rí iṣẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ yìí gba, àárẹ̀ kò mú ọkàn wa rara,
Because of this having ministry this even as we received mercy, not we lose heart,
2 ṣùgbọ́n àwa tí kọ gbogbo ohun ìkọ̀kọ̀ tí ó ní ìtìjú sílẹ̀, àwa kò rìn ní ẹ̀tàn, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwa kò fi ọwọ́ ẹ̀tàn mú ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run; ṣùgbọ́n nípa fífi òtítọ́ hàn, àwa ń fi ara wa le ẹ̀rí ọkàn olúkúlùkù ènìyàn lọ́wọ́ níwájú Ọlọ́run.
But we have renounced the hidden things of shame not walking in craftiness nor falsifying the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God.
3 Ṣùgbọ́n báyìí, bí ìyìnrere wa bá sí fi ara sin, ó fi ara sin fún àwọn tí ó ń ṣègbé.
If however even is concealed the gospel of us, to those perishing it is concealed;
4 Nínú àwọn ẹni tí ọlọ́run ayé yìí ti sọ ọkàn àwọn aláìgbàgbọ́ dí afọ́jú, kí ìmọ́lẹ̀ ìyìnrere Kristi tí ó lógo, ẹni tí í ṣe àwòrán Ọlọ́run, má ṣe mọ́lẹ̀ nínú wọn. (aiōn g165)
in whom the god of the age this has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so as for not to beam forth (to them *k*) the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is [the] image of God. (aiōn g165)
5 Nítorí àwa kò wàásù àwa tìkára wa, bí kò ṣe Kristi Jesu Olúwa; àwa tìkára wa sì jẹ́ ẹrú yín nítorí Jesu.
Not for ourselves do we proclaim but Jesus Christ Lord, ourselves now servants of you for the sake of Jesus.
6 Nítorí Ọlọ́run ni ẹni tí ó wí pé, “Kí ìmọ́lẹ̀ ó tan láti inú òkùnkùn jáde,” òun ní ó ti ń tan mọ́lẹ̀ lọ́kàn wa, láti fún wa ní ìmọ́lẹ̀ ìmọ̀ ògo Ọlọ́run ní ojú Jesu Kristi.
For [it is] God having said Out of darkness light (will shine, *N(k)O*) who shone in the hearts of us for [the] radiance of the knowledge of the glory of God in [the] face of Jesus Christ.
7 Ṣùgbọ́n àwa ní ìṣúra yìí nínú ohun èlò amọ̀, kí ọláńlá agbára náà lè jẹ́ ti Ọlọ́run, kí ó má ṣe ti ọ̀dọ̀ wa wá.
We have now treasure this in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be from God and not from us,
8 A ń pọ́n wa lójú níhà gbogbo, ṣùgbọ́n ara kò ni wá: a ń dààmú wa, ṣùgbọ́n a kò sọ ìrètí nù.
in every [way] being hard pressed but not being crushed, being perplexed but not despairing,
9 A ń ṣe inúnibíni sí wa, ṣùgbọ́n a kò kọ̀ wá sílẹ̀; a ń rẹ̀ wá sílẹ̀ ṣùgbọ́n a kò pa wá run.
being persecuted but not being forsaken, being struck down but not being destroyed;
10 Nígbà gbogbo àwa ń ru ikú Jesu Olúwa kiri ni ará wa, kí a lè fi ìyè Jesu hàn pẹ̀lú lára wa.
always the death of the (Lord *K*) Jesus in [our] body carrying around, so that also the life of Jesus in the body of us may be manifested;
11 Nítorí pé nígbà gbogbo ní a ń fi àwa tí ó wà láààyè fún ikú nítorí Jesu, kí a lè fi ìyè hàn nínú ara kíkú wa pẹ̀lú.
always for we ourselves the living to death are being delivered on account of Jesus, so that also the life of Jesus may be manifested in the mortal flesh of us.
12 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ikú ń ṣiṣẹ́ nínú wa, ṣùgbọ́n ìyè ṣiṣẹ́ nínú yín.
So then (indeed *k*) death in us works, however life in you.
13 Gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ti kọ́ pé, “Èmi gbàgbọ́, nítorí náà ni èmi ṣe sọ,” pẹ̀lú ẹ̀mí ìgbàgbọ́ kan náà, a tún gbàgbọ́ àti nítorí náà ni àwa sì ṣe ń sọ.
Having however the same spirit of faith according to that written: I believed, therefore I have spoken, also we ourselves believe, therefore also speak;
14 Àwa mọ̀ pé, ẹni tí o jí Jesu Olúwa dìde yóò sì jí wa dìde pẹ̀lú nípa Jesu, yóò sì mú wa wà níwájú rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú yín,
knowing that the [One] having raised up the Lord Jesus also us (with *N(k)O*) Jesus He will raise up and He will present [us] with you.
15 Nítorí tiyín ní gbogbo rẹ̀, ki ọ̀pẹ lè dí púpọ̀ fún ògo Ọlọ́run gẹ́gẹ́ bí oore-ọ̀fẹ́ ti ń gbòòrò sí i fún ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àwọn ènìyàn.
For all things [are] for the sake of you, so that the grace having abounded through more and more the thanksgiving may increase to the glory of God.
16 Nítorí èyí ni àárẹ̀ kò ṣe mú wa; ṣùgbọ́n bí ọkùnrin ti òde wa bá ń parun, síbẹ̀ ọkùnrin tí inú wa ń di tuntun lójoojúmọ́.
Therefore not we lose heart; but if even the outward of us man is being brought to decay, yet the (inner *N(k)O*) (of us *no*) is being renewed by day and by day.
17 Nítorí ìpọ́njú díẹ̀ yìí ń pèsè ògo tí ó ní ìwọ̀n ayérayé tí ó pọ̀ rékọjá sílẹ̀ fún wa. (aiōnios g166)
The for momentary lightness the affliction of us far surpassing to excessiveness an eternal weight of glory is producing for us, (aiōnios g166)
18 Níwọ́n bí kò ti wo ohun tí a ń rí, bí kò ṣé ohun tí a kò rí; nítorí ohun tí a ń rí ni ti ìgbà ìsinsin yìí; ṣùgbọ́n ohun tí a kò rí ni ti ayérayé. (aiōnios g166)
not are looking at we the [things] being seen but the [things] not being seen; The [things] for being seen [are] temporary, the [things] however not being seen [are] eternal. (aiōnios g166)
