< 2 Chronicles 9 >
1 Nígbà tí ayaba Ṣeba gbọ́ nípa òkìkí Solomoni, ó sì wá sí Jerusalẹmu láti dán an wò pẹ̀lú ìbéèrè tí ó le. Ó dé pẹ̀lú ẹgbẹ́ ńlá kan pẹ̀lú ìbákasẹ tí ó ru tùràrí, ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ iye wúrà, àti òkúta iyebíye, ó wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ Solomoni ó sì sọ̀rọ̀ pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ nípa gbogbo ohun tí ó ní lọ́kàn rẹ̀.
When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great train, and camels that bore spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she had come to Solomon, she talked with him of all that was in her heart.
2 Solomoni sì dá a lóhùn gbogbo ìbéèrè rẹ̀; kò sì sí èyíkéyìí tí kò lè ṣe àlàyé fún.
Solomon told her all her questions; and there was not anything hidden from Solomon which he did not tell her.
3 Nígbà tí ayaba Ṣeba rí ọgbọ́n Solomoni àti pẹ̀lú ilé tí ó ti kọ́,
When the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
4 oúnjẹ tí ó wà lórí tábìlì rẹ̀, àti ìjókòó àwọn ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀, àti dídúró àwọn ìránṣẹ́ nínú aṣọ wọn, àti àwọn agbọ́tí nínú aṣọ wọn àti ẹbọ sísun tí ó ṣe ní ilé Olúwa, ó sì dá a lágara fún ìyàlẹ́nu.
and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their clothing, his cup bearers also, and their clothing, and his burnt offerings which he presented at the house of Jehovah; it left her breathless.
5 Ó sì wí fún ọba pé, “Ìròyìn tí mo gbọ́ ní ìlú mi nípa iṣẹ́ rẹ àti ọgbọ́n rẹ, òtítọ́ ni.
She said to the king, "It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts, and of your wisdom.
6 Ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò gba ohun tí wọ́n sọ gbọ́ àyàfi ìgbà tí mó dé ibí tí mo sì ri pẹ̀lú ojú mi. Nítòótọ́, kì í tilẹ̀ ṣe ìdájọ́ ìdajì títóbi ọgbọ́n rẹ ní a sọ fún mi: ìwọ ti tàn kọjá òkìkí tí mo gbọ́.
However I did not believe their words, until I came, and my eyes had seen it; and look, the half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me: you exceed the fame that I heard.
7 Báwo ni inú àwọn ọkùnrin rẹ ìbá ṣe dùn tó! Báwo ní dídùn inú àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ, àwọn tí n dúró nígbà gbogbo níwájú rẹ láti gbọ́ ọgbọ́n rẹ!
Happy are your wives, and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you, and hear your wisdom.
8 Ìyìn ló yẹ fún Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ, ẹni tí ó ní inú dídùn nínú rẹ tí ó sì gbé ọ ka orí ìtẹ́ ìjọba rẹ̀ láti jẹ ọba fún Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ. Nítorí ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run rẹ fún Israẹli láti fi ìdí wọn kalẹ̀ láéláé, ó sì ti fi ọ́ ṣe ọba lórí wọn, láti ṣe ìdájọ́ àti òtítọ́.”
Blessed be Jehovah your God, who delighted in you, to set you on his throne, to be king for Jehovah your God: because your God loved Israel, to establish them forever, therefore he made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness."
9 Nígbà náà ni ó sì fún ọba ní ọgọ́fà tálẹ́ǹtì wúrà. Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ iye tùràrí, àti òkúta iyebíye. Kò sì tí ì sí irú tùràrí yí gẹ́gẹ́ bí èyí tí ayaba Ṣeba fi fún ọba Solomoni.
She gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
10 Àwọn ènìyàn Hiramu àti àwọn ọkùnrin Solomoni gbé wúrà wá láti Ofiri, wọ́n sì tún gbé igi algumu pẹ̀lú àti òkúta iyebíye wá.
The servants also of Hiram, and the servants of Solomon, who brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.
11 Ọba sì lo igi algumu náà láti fi ṣe àtẹ̀gùn fún ilé Olúwa àti fún ilé ọba àti láti fi ṣe dùùrù àti ohun èlò orin olókùn fún àwọn akọrin. Kò sì ṣí irú rẹ̀ tí a ti rí rí ní ilẹ̀ Juda.
The king made of the algum trees steps for the house of Jehovah, and for the king's house, and harps and stringed instruments for the singers: and there were none like these seen before in the land of Judah.
12 Ọba Solomoni fún ayaba Ṣeba ní gbogbo ohun tí ó béèrè fún àti ohun tí ó wù ú; ó sì fi fún un ju èyí tí ó mú wá fún un lọ. Nígbà náà ni ó lọ ó sì padà pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ sí ìlú rẹ̀.
King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, besides that which she had brought to the king. So she turned, and went to her own land, she and her servants.
13 Ìwọ̀n wúrà tí Solomoni gbà ní ọdún kan sì jẹ́ ọ̀tàlélẹ́gbẹ̀ta ó lé mẹ́fà tálẹ́ǹtì,
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,
14 láì tí ì ka àkójọpọ̀ owó ìlú tí ó wọlé láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn oníṣòwò àti àwọn ọlọ́jà. Àti pẹ̀lú gbogbo àwọn ọba Arabia àti àwọn baálẹ̀ ilẹ̀ náà mu wúrà àti fàdákà wá fún Solomoni.
besides that which the traders and merchants brought: and all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
15 Ọba Solomoni sì ṣe igba asà wúrà lílù; ẹgbẹ̀ta ṣékélì tí a fi òlùlù wúrà sí ọ̀kánkán asà.
King Solomon made two hundred large shields of beaten gold; six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to each shield.
16 Ó sì ti ṣe ọ̀ọ́dúnrún kékeré ṣékélì tí a fi òlùlù wúrà, pẹ̀lú ọ̀ọ́dúnrún ṣékélì wúrà nínú àpáta kọ̀ọ̀kan. Ọba sì kó wọn sínú ààfin ti ó wà ní igbó Lebanoni.
He made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
17 Nígbà náà ọba sì ṣe ìtẹ́ pẹ̀lú eyín erin ńlá kan ó sì fi wúrà tó mọ́ bò ó.
Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
18 Ìtẹ́ náà sì ní àtẹ̀gùn mẹ́fà, àti pẹ̀lú àpótí ìtìsẹ̀ wúrà kan ni a dè mọ́ ọn. Ní ìhà méjèèjì ibi ìjókòó ní ó ní ìgbọ́wọ́lé, pẹ̀lú kìnnìún tí ó dúró lẹ́bàá olúkúlùkù wọn.
And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the stays.
19 Kìnnìún méjìlá dúró lórí àtẹ̀gùn mẹ́ta, ọ̀kan àti ní ìhà olúkúlùkù àtẹ̀gùn kò sì sí irú rẹ̀ tí a ti ṣe rí fún ìjọba mìíràn.
Twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other on the six steps: there was nothing like it made in any kingdom.
20 Gbogbo ohun èlò mímú ìjọba Solomoni ọba ni ó jẹ́ kìkì wúrà, àti gbogbo ohun èlò ààfin ní igbó Lebanoni ni ó jẹ́ wúrà mímọ́. Kò sì ṣí èyí tí a fi fàdákà ṣe, nítorí a kò ka fàdákà sí nǹkan kan ní gbogbo ọjọ́ Solomoni.
All king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: silver was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
21 Ọba ní ọkọ̀ tí a fi ń tajà tí àwọn ọkùnrin Hiramu ń bojútó. Ẹ̀ẹ̀kan ní ọdún mẹ́ta ni ó máa ń padà, ó ń gbé wúrà àti fàdákà àti eyín erin àti ìnàkí.
For the king had ships that went to Tarshish with the servants of Hiram; once every three years came the ships of Tarshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
22 Ọba Solomoni sì tóbi nínú ọláńlá àti ọgbọ́n ju gbogbo àwọn ọba tí ó kù lórí ilẹ̀ ayé lọ.
So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
23 Gbogbo àwọn ọba ayé ń wá ojúrere lọ́dọ̀ Solomoni láti gbọ́n ọgbọ́n tí Ọlọ́run ti fi sínú ọkàn rẹ̀.
All the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
24 Ní ọdọọdún, olúkúlùkù ẹni tí o wá mú ẹ̀bùn ohun èlò wúrà àti fàdákà àti aṣọ ìbora, ìhámọ́ra, àti tùràrí, àti ẹṣin àti ìbáaka wá.
They brought every man his tribute, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and clothing, armor, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
25 Solomoni sì ní ẹgbàajì ilé fún àwọn ẹṣin àti kẹ̀kẹ́, àti ẹgbàá mẹ́fà àwọn ẹṣin, tí ó fi pamọ́ nínú ìlú kẹ̀kẹ́ àti pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ nínú Jerusalẹmu.
Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he stationed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
26 Ó sì jẹ ọba lórí gbogbo àwọn ọba láti odò Eufurate títí dé ilé àwọn ará Filistini àti títí ó fi dé agbègbè ti Ejibiti.
He ruled over all the kings from the River even to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
27 Ọba sì sọ fàdákà dàbí òkúta ní Jerusalẹmu, àti igi kedari ni ó sì ṣe bí igi sikamore, tí ó wà ní pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀.
The king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars to be as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.
28 A sì mú àwọn ẹṣin Solomoni wa láti ilẹ̀ òkèrè láti Ejibiti àti láti gbogbo ìlú.
They brought horses for Solomon out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
29 Àti gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìyókù iṣẹ́ ìjọba Solomoni, láti ìbẹ̀rẹ̀ títí dé òpin, ṣé a kò kọ wọ́n sínú ìwé ìtàn Natani wòlíì, àti nínú ìsọtẹ́lẹ̀ Ahijah ará Ṣilo àti nínú ìran Iddo, wòlíì tí o so nípa Jeroboamu ọmọ Nebati?
Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, aren't they written in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
30 Solomoni jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu lórí gbogbo àwọn Israẹli fún ogójì ọdún
Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
31 Solomoni sì sùn pẹ̀lú àwọn baba rẹ̀, a sì sin ín ní ìlú Dafidi baba rẹ̀, Rehoboamu, ọmọ rẹ̀ sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the City of David his father. And Rehoboam his son reigned in his place.
