< 2 Chronicles 21 >

1 Nígbà náà Jehoṣafati sùn pẹ̀lú àwọn baba a rẹ̀, a sì sin ín pẹ̀lú wọn ní ìlú ńlá Dafidi. Jehoramu ọmọ rẹ̀ sì rọ́pò rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọba.
And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.
2 Àwọn arákùnrin Jehoramu ọmọ Jehoṣafati jẹ́ Asariah, Jehieli, Sekariah. Asariahu, Mikaeli àti Ṣefatia. Gbogbo àwọn wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Jehoṣafati ọba Israẹli.
And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.
3 Baba wọn ti fún wọn ní ẹ̀bùn púpọ̀ ti fàdákà àti wúrà àti àwọn ohun èlò iyebíye pẹ̀lú àwọn ìlú ààbò ní Juda, ṣùgbọ́n, ó ti gbé ìjọba fún Jehoramu nítorí òun ni àkọ́bí ọmọkùnrin.
And their father gave them great gifts, of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram, because he was the firstborn.
4 Nígbà tí Jehoramu fi ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ múlẹ̀ gidigidi lórí ìjọba baba a rẹ̀, ó sì fi idà pa gbogbo àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọbìnrin ọba Israẹli.
Now when Jehoram was risen up over the kingdom of his father, and had strengthened himself, he slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel.
5 Jehoramu jẹ́ ẹni ọdún méjìlélọ́gbọ̀n nígbà tí ó di ọba, ó sì jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu fún ọdún mẹ́jọ.
Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
6 Ó rìn ní ọ̀nà àwọn ọba Israẹli gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé Ahabu ti ṣe, nítorí ó fẹ́ ọmọbìnrin Ahabu. Ó ṣe búburú lójú Olúwa.
And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
7 Bí ó tilẹ̀ rí bẹ́ẹ̀, nítorí tí májẹ̀mú tí Olúwa ti dá fún Dafidi kì í ṣe ìfẹ́ Olúwa láti pa ìdílé Dafidi run ó ti ṣe ìlérí láti tọ́jú fìtílà kan fún un àti àwọn àtẹ̀lé rẹ̀ títí láé.
Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a lamp to him and to his children alway.
8 Ní àkókò Jehoramu, Edomu ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí Juda, wọ́n sì gbé ọba tiwọn kalẹ̀.
In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.
9 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, Jehoramu lọ síbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn ìjòyè rẹ̀ àti gbogbo àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́. Àwọn ará Edomu yí i ká àti àwọn alákòóso àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ rẹ̀. Ṣùgbọ́n ó dìde ní òru ó sì ṣẹ́gun wọn ní òru.
Then Jehoram passed over with his captains, and all his chariots with him: and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots.
10 Títí di ọjọ́ òní ni Edomu ti wà ní ìṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí Juda. Libina ṣọ̀tẹ̀ ní àkọ́kọ́ náà, nítorí tí Jehoramu ti kọ Olúwa sílẹ̀, Ọlọ́run àwọn baba a rẹ̀.
So Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, unto this day: then did Libnah revolt at the same time from under his hand: because he had forsaken the LORD, the God of his fathers.
11 Òun pẹ̀lú ti kọ́ àwọn ibi gíga lórí àwọn òkè Juda. Ó sì ti fà á kí àwọn ènìyàn Jerusalẹmu ó ṣe àgbèrè pẹ̀lú ara wọn. Ó sì ti jẹ́ kí wọn ó ṣáko lọ.
Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Judah, and made the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, and led Judah astray.
12 Jehoramu gba ìwé láti ọwọ́ Elijah wòlíì, tí ó wí pé, “Èyí ní ohun tí Olúwa, Ọlọ́run baba à rẹ Dafidi wí: ‘Ìwọ kò tí ì rìn ní ọ̀nà àwọn baba à rẹ Jehoṣafati tàbí Asa ọba Juda.
And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah;
13 Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ ti rìn ní ọ̀nà àwọn ọba Israẹli, ìwọ sì ti tọ́ Juda àti àwọn ènìyàn Jerusalẹmu láti ṣe àgbèrè sí ara wọn, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ilé Ahabu ti ṣe. Ìwọ sì ti pa àwọn arákùnrin rẹ, ẹ̀yà ara ilé baba à rẹ, àwọn ọkùnrin tí ó dára jù ọ́ lọ.
but hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like as the house of Ahab did; and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father’s house, which were better than thyself:
14 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni nísinsin yìí, Olúwa ti fẹ́rẹ lu àwọn ènìyàn rẹ, àwọn ọmọ rẹ, àwọn ìyàwó rẹ àti gbogbo ohun tí ó jẹ́ tìrẹ, pẹ̀lú àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn ńlá.
behold, the LORD will smite with a great plague thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy substance:
15 Ìwọ tìkára yóò ṣe àárẹ̀ pẹ̀lú àìsàn lílọ́ra ti ìfun, títí tí àìsàn náà yóò fi jẹ́ kí àwọn ìfun rẹ jáde sí ìta.’”
and thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness, day by day.
16 Olúwa ru ìbínú àwọn ará Filistini àti àwọn Arabia tí wọ́n ń gbé ní ẹ̀bá àwọn ará Kuṣi sí Jehoramu.
And the LORD stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians which are beside the Ethiopians:
17 Wọ́n dojú ìjà kọ Juda, wọ́n gbà á, wọ́n sì kó gbogbo ọrọ̀ tí a rí ní ilé ọba pẹ̀lú, àwọn ọmọkùnrin rẹ̀ àti àwọn ọmọkùnrin kankan kò kù sílẹ̀ fún un bí kò ṣe Ahasiah, àbíkẹ́yìn nínú àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀.
and they came up against Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king’s house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.
18 Lẹ́yìn gbogbo èyí, Olúwa jẹ Jehoramu ní yà pẹ̀lú ààrùn tí kò ṣe é wòsàn nínú ìfun.
And after all this the LORD smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease.
19 Ní àkókò kan ní ìparí ọdún kejì, àwọn ìfun rẹ̀ jáde nítorí ààrùn náà ó sì kú nínú ìrora ńlá. Àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ kò dá iná láti fi bu ọlá fún un, gẹ́gẹ́ bí wọ́n ti ṣe fún àwọn baba a rẹ̀.
And it came to pass, in process of time, at the end of two years, that his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness, and he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.
20 Jehoramu jẹ́ ẹni ọdún méjìlélọ́gbọ̀n ní ìgbà tí ó di ọba, Ó sì jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu fún ọdún mẹ́jọ. Ó kọjá lọ, kò sí ẹni tí ó kábámọ̀. A sì sin ín si ìlú ńlá ti Dafidi. Ṣùgbọ́n kì í ṣe nínú ibojì àwọn ọba.
Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years: and he departed without being desired; and they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.
