< 2 Chronicles 15 >

1 Ẹ̀mí Ọlọ́run wá sórí Asariah ọmọ Odedi.
Now Azariah, the son of Oded, had the Spirit of God within him.
2 Ó jáde lọ bá Asa, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Tẹ́tí si mi Asa, àti gbogbo Juda àti Benjamini. Olúwa wà pẹ̀lú rẹ, nígbà tí ìwọ bá wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀. Ti ìwọ bá wá a, ìwọ yóò rí i ní ẹ̀bá ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ ṣùgbọ́n tí ìwọ bá kọ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀, òun yóò kọ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀.
And he went out to meet Asa, and he said to him: “Listen to me, Asa and all of Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you, because you have been with him. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
3 Fún ọjọ́ pípẹ́ ni Israẹli ti wà láì sin Ọlọ́run òtítọ́, àti láìní àlùfáà ti ń kọ́ ni, àti láìní òfin.
Then many days will pass in Israel, apart from the true God, and apart from a learned priest, and apart from the law.
4 Ṣùgbọ́n nínú ìpọ́njú wọn, wọ́n yí padà si Olúwa Ọlọ́run Israẹli, wọ́n sì wa kiri. Wọ́n sì ri i ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ wọn.
And when, in their anguish, they will have returned to the Lord, the God of Israel, and will have sought him, they shall find him.
5 Ní ọjọ́ wọ̀n-ọn-nì ó léwu kí ènìyàn máa rìn ìrìnàjò kiri, nítorí tí gbogbo àwọn olùgbé ilẹ̀ náà wà nínú làálàá ńlá.
In that time, there will be no peace for those who depart and those who enter. Instead, there will be terror on every side, among all the inhabitants of the lands.
6 Orílẹ̀-èdè kan ń run èkejì àti ìlú kan sí òmíràn nítorí Ọlọ́run ń yọ wọ́n lẹ́nu pẹ̀lú oríṣìíríṣìí ìpọ́njú.
For nation will fight against nation, and city against city. For the Lord will disturb them with every anguish.
7 Ṣùgbọ́n fun ìwọ, jẹ́ alágbára, kí ó má sì ṣe ṣàárẹ̀. Nítorí tí a ó fi èrè sí iṣẹ́ ẹ̀ rẹ.”
But as for you, be strengthened, and do not let your hands be weakened. For there will be a reward for your work.”
8 Nígbà tí Asa gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ wọ̀nyí àti àsọtẹ́lẹ̀ Asariah ọmọ Odedi wòlíì, ó mú àyà rẹ̀ le. Ó sì mú gbogbo ohun ìríra kúrò ní gbogbo ilẹ̀ Juda àti Benjamini àti kúrò nínú àwọn ìlú tí ó ti fi agbára mú ní orí òkè Efraimu. Ó tún pẹpẹ Olúwa ṣe tí ó wà ní iwájú portiko ti ilé Olúwa.
And when Asa had heard these particular words, and the prophecy of the prophet Azariah, the son of Oded, he was strengthened, and he took away the idols from the entire land of Judah, and from Benjamin, and from the cities that he had seized of mount Ephraim, and he dedicated the altar of the Lord, which was before the portico of the Lord.
9 Nígbà náà, ó pe gbogbo Juda àti Benjamini jọ àti àwọn ènìyàn láti Efraimu, Manase àti Simeoni tí ó ti ṣe àtìpó ní àárín wọn. Nítorí ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn ti wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ láti Israẹli nígbà tí wọ́n rí i wí pé Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ̀ wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀.
And he gathered together all of Judah and Benjamin, and with them the new arrivals from Ephraim and Manasseh and Simeon. For many had fled to him from Israel, seeing that the Lord his God was with him.
10 Wọ́n péjọ sí Jerusalẹmu ní oṣù kẹta ọdún kẹ́ẹ̀dógún ti ìjọba Asa.
And when they had arrived in Jerusalem, in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa,
11 Ní àkókò yìí, wọ́n rú ẹbọ sí Olúwa ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀rin akọ màlúù àti ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbàárin àgùntàn àti àwọn ewúrẹ́ láti ibi ìkógun tí wọ́n ti kó padà.
they immolated to the Lord on that day, from the best of the spoils and from the plunder that they had brought: seven hundred oxen and seven thousand rams.
12 Wọ́n sì tún dá májẹ̀mú láti wá Olúwa Ọlọ́run àwọn baba wọn tinútinú wọn àti tọkàntọkàn wọn.
And he entered, according to custom, in order to confirm the covenant, so that they would seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with their whole heart and with their whole soul.
13 Pé ẹnikẹ́ni tí kò bá wá Olúwa Ọlọ́run Israẹli, pípa ni á ó pa á láti ẹni kékeré dé orí ẹni ńlá àti ọkùnrin àti obìnrin.
“But if anyone,” he said, “will not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, let him die, from the least even to the greatest, from man even to woman.”
14 Wọ́n sì búra ní ohùn rara fún Olúwa àti pẹ̀lú ìhó ńlá àti pẹ̀lú ìpè àti pẹ̀lú fèrè.
And they swore to the Lord, with a great voice, in jubilation, and with the blare of trumpets, and with the sound of horns,
15 Gbogbo Juda yọ̀ nípa ìbúra náà nítorí wọ́n ti búra tinútinú wọn wọ́n sì fi gbogbo ìfẹ́ inú wọn wá a, wọ́n sì rí i, Olúwa sì fún wọn ní ìsinmi yí káàkiri.
all who were in Judah swore with a curse. For with all their heart they swore, and with all their will they sought and found him. And the Lord granted rest on all sides to them.
16 Ọba Asa sì mú Maaka ìyá ńlá rẹ̀ kúrò láti máa ṣe ayaba, nítorí tí ó yá ère kan fún Aṣerah òrìṣà rẹ̀. Asa sì ké ère náà lulẹ̀, ó sì jó o ní àfonífojì Kidironi.
Then too, Maacah, the mother of king Asa, he deposed from the august authority, because she had made an idol of Priapus within a sacred grove. And he entirely crushed it, breaking it into pieces, and he burned it at the torrent Kidron.
17 Ṣùgbọ́n a kò mú àwọn ibi gíga náà kúrò ní Israẹli; síbẹ̀síbẹ̀ ọkàn Asa wà ní pípé ní ọjọ́ rẹ̀ gbogbo.
But some high places were left in Israel. Even so, the heart of Asa was perfect during all his days.
18 Ó sì mú àwọn ohun mímọ́ náà ti baba rẹ̀ àti àwọn ohun mímọ́ ti òun tìkára rẹ̀ tirẹ̀ wá sínú ilé Ọlọ́run, wúrà àti fàdákà àti àwọn ohun èlò náà.
And whatever his father or he himself had vowed, he brought into the house of the Lord: silver and gold, and vessels for various uses.
19 Kò sí ogun mọ́ títí fún ọdún márùndínlógójì ti ìjọba Asa.
Truly, there was no war, until the thirty-fifth year of the kingdom of Asa.
