< 1 Samuel 28 >

1 Ní àwọn ọjọ́ wọ̀nyí, àwọn Filistini sì kó àwọn ogun wọn jọ, láti bá Israẹli jà. Akiṣi sì wí fún Dafidi pé, “Mọ̀ dájúdájú pé, ìwọ yóò bá mi jáde lọ sí ibi ìjà, ìwọ àti àwọn ọmọkùnrin rẹ.”
And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines collected their armies for warfare, to fight with Israel. And Achish said to David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shalt go out with me to battle, thou and thy men.
2 Dafidi sì wí fún Akiṣi pé, “Nítòótọ́ ìwọ ó sì mọ ohun tí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ lè ṣe.” Akiṣi sì wí fún Dafidi pé, “Nítorí náà ni èmi ó ṣe fi ìwọ ṣe olùṣọ́ orí mi ni gbogbo ọjọ́.”
And David said to Achish, Surely thou shalt know what thy servant can do. And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of my head for ever.
3 Samuẹli sì ti kú, gbogbo Israẹli sì sọkún rẹ̀, wọ́n sì sin ín ní Rama ní ìlú rẹ̀. Saulu sì ti mú àwọn abókùúsọ̀rọ̀ ọkùnrin, àti àwọn abókùúsọ̀rọ̀ obìnrin kúrò ní ilẹ̀ náà.
Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
4 Àwọn Filistini sì kó ara wọn jọ, wọ́n wá, wọ́n sì dó sí Ṣunemu: Saulu sì kó gbogbo Israẹli jọ, wọ́n sì tẹ̀dó ní Gilboa.
And the Philistines assembled, and came and encamped in Shunem: and Saul collected all Israel, and they encamped in Gilboa.
5 Nígbà tí Saulu sì rí ogun àwọn Filistini náà òun sì bẹ̀rù, àyà rẹ̀ sì wárìrì gidigidi.
And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled.
6 Nígbà tí Saulu sì béèrè lọ́dọ̀ Olúwa, Olúwa kò dá a lóhùn nípa àlá, nípa Urimu tàbí nípa àwọn wòlíì.
And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
7 Saulu sì wí fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ pé, “Ẹ bá mi wá obìnrin kan tí ó ní ẹ̀mí abókùúsọ̀rọ̀ èmi yóò sì tọ̀ ọ́ lọ, èmi yóò béèrè lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀!” Àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ sì wí fún un pé, “Wò ó, obìnrin kan wà ní Endori tí ó ní ẹ̀mí abókùúsọ̀rọ̀.”
Then said Saul to his servants, seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, [there is] a woman that hath a familiar spirit at En-dor.
8 Saulu sì pa ara dà, ó sì mú aṣọ mìíràn wọ̀, ó sì lọ, àwọn ọmọkùnrin méjì sì pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, wọ́n sì wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ obìnrin náà lóru: òun sì wí pé, “Èmi bẹ̀ ọ́, fi ẹ̀mí abókùúsọ̀rọ̀ wo nǹkan fún mi, kí o sì mú ẹni tí èmí ó dárúkọ rẹ̀ fún ọ wá sókè fún mi.”
And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine to me by the familiar spirit, and bring up for me whom I shall name to thee.
9 Obìnrin náà sì dá a lóhùn pé, “Wò ó, ìwọ sá à mọ ohun tí Saulu ṣe, bí òun ti gé àwọn abókùúsọ̀rọ̀ obìnrin, àti àwọn abókùúsọ̀rọ̀ ọkùnrin kúrò ní ilẹ̀ náà; ǹjẹ́ èéha ṣe tí ìwọ dẹkùn fún ẹ̀mí mi, láti mú kí wọ́n pa mí.”
And the woman said to him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: Why then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
10 Saulu sì búra fún un nípa Olúwa pé, “Bí Olúwa ti ń bẹ láààyè, ìyà kan kì yóò jẹ́ ọ́ nítorí nǹkan yìí.”
And Saul swore to her by the LORD, saying, [As] the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
11 Obìnrin náà sì bi í pé, “Ta ni ẹ̀mí ó mú wá sókè fún ọ?” Òun sì wí pé, “Mú Samuẹli gòkè wá fún mi.”
Then said the woman, whom shall I bring up to thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
12 Nígbà tí obìnrin náà sì rí Samuẹli, ó kígbe lóhùn rara: obìnrin náà sì bá Saulu sọ̀rọ̀ pè, “Èéṣe tí ìwọ fi tàn mí jẹ? Nítorí pé Saulu ni ìwọ jẹ́.”
And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spoke to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou [art] Saul.
13 Ọba sì wí fún un pé, “Má ṣe bẹ̀rù; kín ni ìwọ rí?” Obìnrin náà sì wí fún Saulu pé, “Èmi rí ọlọ́run kan tí ń ti ilẹ̀ wá.”
And the king said to her be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said to Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.
14 Ó sì bi í pé, “Báwo ni ó ti rí i sí.” Ó sì wí pé, “Ọkùnrin arúgbó kan ni ó ń bọ; ó sì fi agbádá bora.” Saulu sì mọ̀ pé, Samuẹli ni; ó sì tẹríba, ó sì wólẹ̀.
And he said to her, What is his form? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he [is] covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it [was] Samuel, and he stooped with [his] face to the ground, and bowed himself.
15 Samuẹli sì i wí fún Saulu pé, “Èéṣe tí ìwọ fi ń yọ mí lẹ́nu láti mú mi wá sókè?” Saulu sì dáhùn ó sì wí pé, “Ìpọ́njú ńlá bá mi; nítorí tí àwọn Filistini ń bá mi jagun, Ọlọ́run sì kọ̀ mí sílẹ̀, kò sì dá mi lóhùn mọ́, nípa ọwọ́ àwọn wòlíì, tàbí nípa àlá; nítorí náà ni èmi ṣe pè ọ́, kí ìwọ lè fi ohun tí èmi yóò ṣe hàn mi.”
And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am grievously distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God hath departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known to me what I shall do.
16 Samuẹli sì wí pé, “Ó ti ṣe ń bi mí léèrè nígbà tí ó jẹ́ pé, Olúwa ti kọ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀, o sì di ọ̀tá rẹ̀.
Then said Samuel, Why then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD hath departed from thee, and hath become thy enemy?
17 Olúwa sì ṣe fún ara rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti ti ipa ọwọ́ mi sọ: Olúwa sì yá ìjọba náà kúrò ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀, ó sì fi fún aládùúgbò rẹ́, àní Dafidi.
And the LORD hath done to him, as he spoke by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thy hand, and given it to thy neighbor, [even] to David:
18 Nítorí pé ìwọ kò gbọ́ ohùn Olúwa ìwọ kò sì ṣe iṣẹ́ ìbínú rẹ̀ sí Amaleki nítorí náà ni Olúwa sì ṣe nǹkan yìí sí ọ lónìí yìí.
Because thou didst not obey the voice of the LORD, nor execute his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing to thee this day.
19 Olúwa yóò sì fi Israẹli pẹ̀lú ìwọ lé àwọn Filistini lọ́wọ́, ní ọ̀la ni ìwọ àti àwọn ọmọ rẹ ọkùnrin yóò pẹ̀lú mi: Olúwa yóò sì fi ogun Israẹli lé àwọn Filistini lọ́wọ́.”
Moreover, the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to-morrow [shalt] thou and thy sons [be] with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.
20 Lójúkan náà ni Saulu ṣubú lulẹ̀ gbalaja níbí ó ṣe gùn tó, ẹ̀rù sì bà á gidigidi nítorí ọ̀rọ̀ Samuẹli; agbára kò sí fún un; nítorí pé kò jẹun ní ọjọ́ náà tọ̀sán tòru.
Then Saul fell immediately all along on the earth, and was exceedingly afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.
21 Obìnrin náà sì tọ Saulu wá, ó sì rí i pé ó wà nínú ìbànújẹ́ púpọ̀, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Wò ó, ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ́ ti gbọ́ ohun rẹ̀, èmi sì ti fi ẹ̀mí mi sí ọwọ́ mi, èmi sì ti gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ ti ìwọ sọ fún mi.
And the woman came to Saul, and saw that he was greatly troubled, and said to him, Behold, thy handmaid hath obeyed thy voice, and I have put my life in my hand, and have hearkened to thy words, which thou didst speak to me.
22 Ǹjẹ́, nísinsin yìí èmi bẹ̀ ọ́, gbọ́ ohùn ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ, èmi yóò sì fi oúnjẹ díẹ̀ síwájú rẹ̀; sì jẹun, ìwọ yóò sì lágbára, nígbà tí ìwọ bá ń lọ lọ́nà.”
Now therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also to the voice of thy handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way.
23 Ṣùgbọ́n ó kọ̀, ó sì wí pé, “Èmi kì yóò jẹun.” Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú rọ̀ ọ́. Ó sì dìde kúrò ni ilẹ̀, ó sì jókòó lórí àkéte.
But he refused, and said, I will not eat. But his servants, together with the woman, compelled him; and he hearkened to their voice. So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed.
24 Obìnrin náà sì ni ẹgbọrọ màlúù kan ti ó sanra ni ilé, ó sì yára, ó pa á, ó sì mú ìyẹ̀fun, ó sì pò ó, ó sì fi ṣe àkàrà àìwú.
And the woman had a fat calf in the house: and she hasted and killed it, and took flour, and kneaded [it], and baked unleavened bread of it.
25 Ó sì mú un wá síwájú Saulu, àti síwájú àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀; wọ́n sì jẹun. Wọ́n sì dìde, wọ́n lọ ní òru náà.
And she brought [it] before Saul, and before his servants; and they ate. Then they arose and went away that night.
