< 1 Samuel 18 >
1 Lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí Dafidi ti parí ọ̀rọ̀ tí ó ń bá Saulu sọ, ọkàn Jonatani di ọ̀kan pẹ̀lú ti Dafidi, ó sì fẹ́ràn rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ara rẹ̀.
And it was when finished he to speak to Saul and [the] self of Jonathan it was bound with [the] self of David (and he loved him *Q(k)*) Jonathan like own self his.
2 Láti ọjọ́ náà Saulu pa Dafidi mọ́ sí ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ kò sì jẹ́ kí ó padà sí ilé baba rẹ̀ mọ́.
And he took him Saul on the day that and not he permitted him to return [the] house of father his.
3 Jonatani bá Dafidi dá májẹ̀mú nítorí tí ó fẹ́ràn rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ara rẹ̀.
And he made Jonathan and David a covenant in love his him like own self his.
4 Jonatani sì bọ́ aṣọ ìgúnwà, ó sì fi fun Dafidi pẹ̀lú aṣọ àwọ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ rẹ̀ àti pẹ̀lú idà rẹ̀, ọrun rẹ̀ àti àmùrè rẹ̀.
And he stripped himself Jonathan the robe which [was] on him and he gave it to David and garments his and to sword his and to bow his and to belt his.
5 Ohunkóhun tí Saulu bá rán an láti ṣe, Dafidi máa ṣe ní àṣeyọrí, Saulu náà sì fun un ní ipò tí ó ga jù láàrín àwọn ológun. Eléyìí sì tẹ́ gbogbo ènìyàn lọ́rùn, àti pẹ̀lú ó sì tẹ́ àwọn ìjòyè Saulu lọ́rùn pẹ̀lú.
And he went out David in every where he sent him Saul he prospered and he appointed him Saul over [the] men of war and it was good in [the] eyes of all the people and also in [the] eyes of [the] servants of Saul.
6 Nígbà tí àwọn ènìyàn padà sí ilé lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí Dafidi ti pa Filistini, gbogbo àwọn obìnrin tú jáde láti inú ìlú Israẹli wá láti pàdé ọba Saulu pẹ̀lú orin àti ijó, pẹ̀lú orin ayọ̀ àti tambori àti ohun èlò orin olókùn.
And it was when came they when returned David from striking down the Philistine and they came out the women from all [the] cities of Israel (to sing *Q(k)*) and the dancing to meet Saul the king with tambourines with joy and with three-stringed instruments.
7 Bí wọ́n ṣe ń jó, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n ń kọrin pé, “Saulu pa ẹgbẹ̀rún tirẹ̀ Dafidi sì pa ẹgbẹẹgbàárún ní tirẹ̀.”
And they sang the women who were playing and they said he has struck down Saul (thousands his *Q(K)*) and David ten thousands his.
8 Saulu sì bínú gidigidi, ọ̀rọ̀ náà sì korò létí rẹ̀ pé, “Wọ́n ti gbé ògo fún Dafidi pẹ̀lú ẹgbẹẹgbàárún,” ó sì wí pé, “ṣùgbọ́n èmi pẹ̀lú ẹgbẹ̀rún kan. Kí ni ó kù kí ó gbà bí kò ṣe ìjọba?”
And it burned to Saul exceedingly and it was displeasing in view his the matter this and he said they have ascribed to David ten thousands and to me they have ascribed the thousands and yet for him only the kingship.
9 Láti ìgbà náà lọ ni Saulu ti bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní fi ojú ìlara wo Dafidi.
And he was Saul (looking at *Q(K)*) David from the day that and onwards.
10 Ní ọjọ́ kejì ẹ̀mí búburú láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run wá pẹ̀lú agbára sórí Saulu, ó sì sọ àsọtẹ́lẹ̀ ní ilé rẹ̀ nígbà tí Dafidi sì ń fọn ohun èlò orin olókùn, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti máa ń ṣe láti ẹ̀yìn wá, Saulu sì ní ọ̀kọ̀ kan ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀.
And it was from [the] next day and it rushed a spirit of God - evil - to Saul and he prophesied in [the] midst of the house and David [was] playing an instrument with hand his as a day - in a day and the spear [was] in [the] hand of Saul.
11 Ó sì gbé e sókè, ó sì wí fún ara rẹ̀ pé, “Èmi yóò gún Dafidi pọ̀ mọ́ ògiri.” Ṣùgbọ́n, Dafidi yẹ̀ fún un lẹ́ẹ̀méjì.
And he threw Saul the spear and he said I will strike David and the wall and he went around David from before him two times.
12 Saulu sì ń bẹ̀rù Dafidi nítorí pé Olúwa wà pẹ̀lú Dafidi, ṣùgbọ́n ó ti fi Saulu sílẹ̀.
And he was afraid Saul from to before David for he was Yahweh with him and from with Saul he had turned aside.
13 Ó sì lé Dafidi jáde ní ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀, ó sì fi jẹ olórí ogun ẹgbẹ̀rún kan, Dafidi ń kó wọn lọ, ó ń kó wọn bọ̀ nínú ìgbòkègbodò ogun.
And he removed him Saul from with him and he appointed him for himself a commander of a thousand and he went out and he came before the people.
14 Dafidi sì ṣe ọlọ́gbọ́n ní gbogbo ìṣe rẹ̀, nítorí tí Olúwa wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀.
And he was David to all (ways his *Q(K)*) successful and Yahweh [was] with him.
15 Nígbà tí Saulu rí bi àṣeyọrí rẹ̀ ti tó, ó sì bẹ̀rù rẹ̀.
And he saw Saul that he [was] successful exceedingly and he was afraid of him.
16 Ṣùgbọ́n gbogbo Israẹli àti Juda ni wọ́n fẹ́ràn Dafidi, nítorí ó darí wọn lọ ní ìgbòkègbodò ogun wọn.
And all Israel and Judah [were] loving David for he [was] going out and [was] coming before them.
17 Saulu wí fún Dafidi pé, “Èyí ni àgbà nínú àwọn ọmọbìnrin mi Merabu. Èmi yóò fi òun fún ọ ní aya. Kí ìwọ sìn mí bí akọni, kí o sì máa ja ogun Olúwa.” Nítorí tí Saulu wí fún ara rẹ̀ pé, “Èmi kì yóò gbé ọwọ́ mi sókè sí i. Jẹ́ kí àwọn Filistini ṣe èyí.”
And he said Saul to David here! daughter my elder Merab her I will give to you to a wife only become of me a son of strength and fight [the] battles of Yahweh and Saul he said may not it be hand my on him and let it be on him [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
18 Ṣùgbọ́n Dafidi wí fún Saulu pé, “Ta ni mí, kí sì ni ìdílé mi tàbí ìdílé baba mi ní Israẹli, tí èmi yóò di àna ọba?”
And he said David to Saul who? [am] I and who? [are] kinsfolk my [the] clan of father my in Israel that I will be a son-in-law of the king.
19 Nígbà tí àkókò tó fún Merabu, ọmọbìnrin Saulu, láti fi fún Dafidi, ni a sì fi fún Adrieli ará Mehola ní aya.
And it was at [the] time gave Merab [the] daughter of Saul to David and she she was given to Adriel the Meholathite to a wife.
20 Nísinsin yìí ọmọbìnrin Saulu Mikali sì fẹ́ràn Dafidi, nígbà tí wọ́n sọ fún Saulu nípa rẹ̀, ó sì dùn mọ́ ọn.
And she loved Michal [the] daughter of Saul David and people told to Saul and it was pleasing the matter in view his.
21 Ó sọ nínú ara rẹ̀ pé, “Èmi yóò fi fún un kí òun ba à le jẹ́ ìkẹ́kùn fún un, kí ọwọ́ àwọn ará Filistini lè wà lára rẹ̀.” Nígbà náà ni Saulu wí fún Dafidi pé, “Nísinsin yìí ìwọ ní àǹfààní eléyìí láti jẹ́ àna án mi.”
And he said Saul I will give her to him so she may become for him a snare so it may be on him [the] hand of [the] Philistines and he said Saul to David in two [times] you will be a son-in-law to me this day.
22 Saulu pàṣẹ fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ pé, “Ẹ sọ fún Dafidi ní ìkọ̀kọ̀, kí ẹ sì wí pé, ‘Wò ó, inú ọba dùn sí ọ, gbogbo àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ ni ó fẹ́ràn rẹ, nísinsin yìí jẹ́ àna ọba.’”
And he commanded Saul (servants his *Q(K)*) speak to David in secrecy saying here! he delights in you the king and all servants his they love you and therefore be son-in-law to the king.
23 Wọ́n tún ọ̀rọ̀ náà sọ fún Dafidi. Ṣùgbọ́n Dafidi wí pé, “Ṣé ẹ rò pé ohun kékeré ni láti jẹ́ àna ọba? Mo jẹ́ tálákà ènìyàn àti onímọ̀ kékeré.”
And they spoke [the] servants of Saul in [the] ears of David the words these and he said David ¿ trifling in view your [is] to be son-in-law to the king and I [am] a man poor and lightly esteemed.
24 Nígbà tí àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Saulu sọ fún un ohun tí Dafidi sọ,
And they told [the] servants of Saul to him saying according to the words these he spoke David.
25 Saulu dáhùn pé, “Sọ fún Dafidi pé, ‘Ọba kò fẹ́ owó orí láti ọ̀dọ̀ àna rẹ̀ ju awọ iwájú orí ọgọ́rùn-ún Filistini lọ láti fi gba ẹ̀san lórí àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀.’” Èrò Saulu ni wí pé kí Dafidi ṣubú sí ọwọ́ àwọn ará Filistini.
And he said Saul thus you will say to David not delight [belongs] to the king in bride-price for for a hundred foreskins of Philistines to avenge himself on [the] enemies of the king and Saul he planned to make fall David by [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
26 Nígbà tí àwọn ìránṣẹ́ sọ àwọn nǹkan yìí fún Dafidi, inú rẹ̀ dùn láti di àna ọba kí àkókò tí ó dá tó kọjá,
And they told servants his to David the words these and it was pleasing the matter in [the] eyes of David to be son-in-law to the king and not they were completed the days.
27 Dafidi àti àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀ jáde lọ wọ́n sì pa igba lára àwọn Filistini. Ó kó awọ iwájú orí wọn wá, ó sì pé iye tí ọba fẹ́ kí ó ba à lè jẹ́ àna ọba. Saulu sì fi ọmọ obìnrin Mikali fún un ní aya.
And he arose David and he went - he and men his and he struck down among the Philistines two hundred man and he brought David foreskins their and people gave in full them to the king to be son-in-law to the king and he gave to him Saul Michal daughter his to a wife.
28 Nígbà tí Saulu sì wá mọ̀ pé Olúwa wà pẹ̀lú Dafidi tí ọmọbìnrin rẹ̀ Mikali sì fẹ́ràn Dafidi,
And he saw Saul and he knew that Yahweh [was] with David and Michal [the] daughter of Saul she loved him.
29 Saulu sì tún wá bẹ̀rù Dafidi síwájú àti síwájú, Saulu sì wá di ọ̀tá Dafidi fún gbogbo ọjọ́ rẹ̀ tókù.
And he increased Saul to be afraid of David again and he was Saul an enemy David all the days.
30 Àwọn ọmọ-aládé Filistini tún tẹ̀síwájú láti lọ sí ogun, ó sì ṣe lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí wọ́n lọ, Dafidi ṣe àṣeyọrí ju gbogbo àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Saulu lọ, orúkọ rẹ̀ sì gbilẹ̀.
And they went out [the] commanders of [the] Philistines and it was - as often as went out they he was successful David more than all [the] servants of Saul and it was esteemed name his exceedingly.
