< 1 Kings 9 >
1 Nígbà tí Solomoni sì parí kíkọ́ ilé Olúwa àti ààfin ọba, tí ó sì ti ṣe gbogbo nǹkan tí ó ń fẹ́ láti ṣe,
It happened, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of Jehovah, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,
2 Olúwa sì farahàn Solomoni ní ìgbà kejì, bí ó ti farahàn án ní Gibeoni.
that Jehovah appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.
3 Olúwa sì wí fún un pé, “Èmi ti gbọ́ àdúrà rẹ àti ẹ̀bẹ̀ rẹ tí ìwọ ti bẹ̀ níwájú mi, mo ti ya ilé yìí sí mímọ́, tí ìwọ ti kọ́, nípa fífi orúkọ mi síbẹ̀ títí láé. Ojú mi àti ọkàn mi yóò wà níbẹ̀ nígbà gbogbo.
And Jehovah said to him, "I have heard your prayer and your petition that you have made before me. I have done for you according to all your prayer. I have consecrated this house which you have built, to place my name there forever, and my eyes and my heart will be there perpetually.
4 “Bí ìwọ bá rìn níwájú mi ní ọkàn òtítọ́ àti ìdúró ṣinṣin, bí i Dafidi baba rẹ ti rìn, kí o sì ṣe gbogbo èyí tí mo ti paláṣẹ fún ọ àti kí o sì pa àṣẹ mi àti òfin mi mọ́,
As for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances;
5 Èmi yóò fi ìdí ìtẹ́ ìjọba rẹ múlẹ̀ lórí Israẹli títí láé, bí mo ti ṣe ìlérí fún Dafidi baba rẹ nígbà tí mo wí pé, ‘Ìwọ kì yóò kùnà láti ní ọkùnrin kan lórí ìtẹ́ Israẹli.’
then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, according as I promised to David your father, saying, 'There shall not fail you a man on the throne of Israel.'
6 “Ṣùgbọ́n tí ìwọ tàbí àwọn ọmọ rẹ bá yípadà kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi, tí ẹ kò sì pa òfin mi mọ́ àti àṣẹ mi tí mo ti fi fún ọ, tí ẹ sì lọ láti sin ọlọ́run mìíràn, tí ẹ sì ń sìn wọ́n,
But if you turn away from following me, you or your children, and not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;
7 nígbà náà ni èmi yóò ké Israẹli kúrò ní ilẹ̀ tí èmi fi fún wọn, èmi yóò sì kọ ilé yìí tí èmi ti yà sí mímọ́ fún orúkọ mi. Nígbà náà ni Israẹli yóò sì di òwe àti ìmúṣẹ̀sín láàrín gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè.
then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have made holy for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.
8 Àti ilé yìí tí ó ga, ẹnu yóò sì ya olúkúlùkù ẹni tí ó kọjá lẹ́bàá rẹ̀, yóò sì pòṣé, wọn ó sì wí pé, ‘Èéṣe tí Olúwa fi ṣe irú nǹkan yìí sí ilẹ̀ yìí àti ilé yìí?’
And this house, which is exalted, will become a heap of ruins. Everyone who passes by it will be astonished, and will whistle, and they will say, 'Why has Jehovah done this to this land, and to this house?'
9 Àwọn ènìyàn yóò sì dáhùn wí pé, ‘Nítorí tí wọ́n ti kọ̀ Olúwa Ọlọ́run wọn sílẹ̀, tí ó mú àwọn baba wọn jáde láti Ejibiti wá, wọ́n sì ti gbá ọlọ́run mìíràn mú, wọ́n ń bọ wọ́n, wọ́n sì ń sìn wọ́n, ìdí nìyìí tí Olúwa ṣe mú gbogbo ìjàǹbá yìí wá sórí wọn.’”
And they shall answer, 'Because they forsook Jehovah their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold of other gods, and worshiped them, and served them. Therefore Jehovah has brought all this disaster on them.'"
10 Lẹ́yìn ogún ọdún, nígbà tí Solomoni kọ́ ilé méjèèjì yìí tan: ilé Olúwa àti ààfin ọba.
It happened at the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the two houses, the house of Jehovah and the king's house
11 Solomoni ọba sì fi ogún ìlú ní Galili fún Hiramu ọba Tire, nítorí tí Hiramu ti bá a wá igi kedari àti igi firi àti wúrà gẹ́gẹ́ bí gbogbo ìfẹ́ rẹ̀.
(now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire), that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
12 Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí Hiramu sì jáde láti Tire lọ wo ìlú tí Solomoni fi fún un, inú rẹ̀ kò sì dùn sí wọn.
Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they did not please him.
13 Ó sì wí pé, “Irú ìlú wo nìwọ̀nyí tí ìwọ fi fún mi, arákùnrin mi?” Ó sì pè wọ́n ní ilẹ̀ Kabulu títí fi di òní yìí.
He said, "What cities are these which you have given me, my brother?" He called them the land of Cabul to this day.
14 Hiramu sì ti fi ọgọ́fà tálẹ́ǹtì wúrà ránṣẹ́ sí ọba.
Hiram sent to the king one hundred twenty talents of gold.
15 Ìdí àwọn asìnrú ti Solomoni ọba kójọ ni èyí; láti kọ́ ilé Olúwa àti ààfin òun tìkára rẹ̀; Millo, odi Jerusalẹmu, Hasori, Megido àti Geseri.
This is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised, to build the house of Jehovah, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
16 Farao ọba Ejibiti sì ti kọlu Geseri, ó sì ti fi iná sun ún, ó sì pa àwọn ará Kenaani tí ń gbé ìlú náà, ó sì fi ta ọmọbìnrin rẹ̀, aya Solomoni lọ́rẹ.
Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it for a portion to his daughter, Solomon's wife.
17 Solomoni sì tún Geseri kọ́, àti Beti-Horoni ìsàlẹ̀,
Solomon built Gezer, and Lower Beth Horon,
18 àti Baalati àti Tadmori ní aginjù, láàrín rẹ̀,
and Baalath, and Tamar in the wilderness, in the land,
19 àti gbogbo ìlú ìṣúra tí Solomoni ní, àti ìlú kẹ̀kẹ́ rẹ̀, àti ìlú fún àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣin rẹ̀, àti èyí tí ó ń fẹ́ láti kọ́ ní Jerusalẹmu, ní Lebanoni àti ní gbogbo ilẹ̀ ìjọba rẹ̀ tí ó ń ṣe àkóso.
and all the storage cities that Solomon had, and the cities for his chariots, and the cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
20 Gbogbo ènìyàn tí ó kù nínú àwọn ará Amori ará Hiti, Peresi, Hifi àti Jebusi, àwọn ènìyàn wọ̀nyí kì í ṣe ará Israẹli,
As for all the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hethites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the children of Israel;
21 ìyẹn ni pé àwọn ọmọ wọn tí ó kù ní ilẹ̀ náà, tí àwọn ọmọ Israẹli kò le parun pátápátá, àwọn ni Solomoni bu iṣẹ́ ẹrú fún títí di òní yìí.
their descendants who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel were not able utterly to destroy, of them Solomon conscripted for slave labor to this day.
22 Ṣùgbọ́n, Solomoni kò fi ẹnìkankan ṣe ẹrú nínú àwọn ọmọ Israẹli; àwọn ni ológun rẹ̀ àti àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀, àti àwọn ìjòyè rẹ̀, àti àwọn balógun rẹ̀, àti àwọn olórí kẹ̀kẹ́ rẹ̀ àti ti àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣin rẹ̀.
But of the children of Israel Solomon made no bondservants; but they were the men of war, and his servants, and his commanders, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.
23 Àwọn sì tún ni àwọn olórí olùtọ́jú tí wọ́n wà lórí iṣẹ́ Solomoni, àádọ́ta dín lẹ́gbẹ̀ta, ní ń ṣe àkóso lórí àwọn ènìyàn tí ń ṣe iṣẹ́ náà.
These were the chief officers who were over Solomon's work, five hundred fifty, who bore rule over the people who labored in the work.
24 Lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ọmọbìnrin Farao ti gòkè láti ìlú Dafidi wá sí ààfin tí Solomoni kọ́ fún un, nígbà náà ni ó kọ́ Millo.
But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the City of David to her house which Solomon had built for her: then he built Millo.
25 Nígbà mẹ́ta lọ́dún ni Solomoni ń rú ẹbọ sísun àti ẹbọ àlàáfíà lórí pẹpẹ tí ó tẹ́ fún Olúwa, ó sì sun tùràrí níwájú Olúwa pẹ̀lú wọn, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó parí ilé náà.
Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he built to Jehovah three times a year, burning incense with them, on the altar that was before Jehovah. So he finished the house.
26 Solomoni ọba sì túnṣe òwò ọkọ̀ ní Esioni-Geberi, tí ó wà ní ẹ̀bá Elati ní Edomu, létí Òkun Pupa.
King Solomon also had a fleet of ships at Ezion Geber, which is near Eilat on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.
27 Hiramu sì rán àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀, àwọn atukọ̀ tí ó mọ Òkun, pẹ̀lú àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Solomoni.
Hiram sent in the navy his servants, sailors who had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.
28 Wọ́n sì dé Ofiri, wọ́n sì mú irinwó ó lé ogún tálẹ́ǹtì wúrà, tí wọ́n ti gbà wá fún Solomoni ọba.
They came to Ophir, and fetched from there gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.
