< 1 Kings 7 >
1 Solomoni sì lo ọdún mẹ́tàlá láti fi kọ́ ààfin rẹ̀, ó sì parí gbogbo iṣẹ́ ààfin rẹ̀.
Now Solomon built his own house for thirteen years, and he brought it to perfection.
2 Ó kọ́ ilé igbó Lebanoni pẹ̀lú; gígùn rẹ̀ sì jẹ́ ọgọ́rùn-ún ìgbọ̀nwọ́, àti àádọ́ta ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní ìbú rẹ̀ àti gíga rẹ̀ ọgbọ̀n ìgbọ̀nwọ́; pẹ̀lú ọwọ́ mẹ́rin igi kedari, àti ìdábùú igi kedari lórí òpó náà.
And he built the house from the forest of Lebanon: one hundred cubits in length, and fifty cubits in width, and thirty cubits in height, with four walkways between columns of cedar. For he had hewn the cedar trees into columns.
3 A sì fi igi kedari tẹ́ ẹ lókè lórí yàrá tí ó jókòó lórí ọ̀wọ́n márùnlélógójì, mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dógún ní ọ̀wọ́.
And he clothed the entire vaulted room with panels of cedar. And it was supported by forty-five columns. Now one row held fifteen columns,
4 Fèrèsé rẹ̀ ni a gbé sókè ní ọ̀wọ́ mẹ́ta, kọjú sí ara wọn.
each positioned opposite another,
5 Gbogbo ìlẹ̀kùn àti òpó sì dọ́gba ní igun mẹ́rin: wọ́n sì wà ní apá iwájú ní ọ̀wọ́ mẹ́ta, wọ́n kọjú sí ara wọn.
and looking toward one another, with equal spacing between the columns. And above the columns there were square beams equal in all things.
6 Ó sì fi ọ̀wọ́n ṣe gbàngàn ìdájọ́: àádọ́ta ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ni gígùn rẹ̀, ìbú rẹ̀ sì jẹ́ ọgbọ̀n ìgbọ̀nwọ́. Ìloro kan sì wà níwájú rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ọ̀wọ́n àti ìbòrí ìgúnwà níwájú wọn.
And he made a portico of columns, fifty cubits in length and thirty cubits in width, and another portico, facing the greater portico, with columns and with crossbeams upon the columns.
7 Ó sì ṣe gbàngàn ìtẹ́, gbàngàn ìdájọ́, níbi tí yóò ti ṣe ìdájọ́, ó sì fi igi kedari bò ó láti ilẹ̀ dé àjà ilé.
He also made the portico of the throne, in which is the tribunal. And he overlaid it with cedar wood, from the floor even to the summit.
8 Ààfin rẹ̀ níbi tí yóò sì gbé wà ní àgbàlá lẹ́yìn ààfin, irú kan náà ni wọ́n. Solomoni sì kọ́ ààfin tí ó rí bí gbàngàn yìí fún ọmọbìnrin Farao tí ó ní ní aya.
And in the midst of the portico, there was a small house, where he would sit in judgment, similar in workmanship. He also made a house for the daughter of Pharaoh (whom Solomon had taken as wife) of the same work and type as this portico.
9 Gbogbo wọ̀nyí láti òde dé apá àgbàlá ńlá, àti láti ìpìlẹ̀ dé ìbòrí òkè ilé, wọ́n sì jẹ́ òkúta iyebíye gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwọ̀n òkúta gbígbẹ, tí a fi ayùn rẹ́ nínú àti lóde.
All was of precious stones, which had been sawed by a particular standard and measure, as much within as without, from the foundation even to the summit of the walls, and outside even to the great atrium.
10 Ìpìlẹ̀ náà jẹ́ òkúta iyebíye, àní òkúta ńlá ńlá, àwọn mìíràn wọn ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́wàá, àwọn mìíràn ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́jọ.
Now the foundations were of precious stones: great stones of eight or ten cubits.
11 Lókè ni òkúta iyebíye wà nípa ìwọ̀n òkúta tí a gbẹ́ àti igi kedari.
And above these, there were precious stones, of equal measure, which had been cut in a manner similar to boards of cedar.
12 Àgbàlá ńlá náà yíkákiri ògiri pẹ̀lú ọ̀wọ́ mẹ́ta òkúta gbígbẹ́ àti ọ̀wọ́n kan igi ìdábùú ti kedari, bí ti inú lọ́hùn ún àgbàlá ilé Olúwa pẹ̀lú ìloro rẹ̀.
And the great atrium was round, with three rows of cut stones and one row of cut cedar, even as it also was in the interior atrium of the house of the Lord, and in the portico of the house.
13 Solomoni ọba ránṣẹ́ sí Tire, ó sì mú Hiramu wá,
And king Solomon sent and brought Hiram of Tyre,
14 ẹni tí ìyá rẹ̀ jẹ́ opó láti inú ẹ̀yà Naftali àti tí baba rẹ̀ sì ṣe ará Tire, alágbẹ̀dẹ idẹ. Hiramu sì kún fún ọgbọ́n àti òye, àti ìmọ̀ láti ṣe oríṣìíríṣìí iṣẹ́ idẹ. Ó wá sọ́dọ̀ Solomoni ọba, ó sì ṣe gbogbo iṣẹ́ tí wọ́n gbé fún un.
the son of a widowed woman, from the tribe of Naphtali, whose father was a Tyrian, an artisan in brass, and full of wisdom, and understanding, and knowledge in order to form every work of brass. And when he had gone to king Solomon, he wrought all his work.
15 Ó sì dá ọ̀wọ́n idẹ méjì, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ méjìdínlógún ní gíga okùn ìgbọ̀nwọ́ méjìlá ni ó sì yí wọn ká.
And he cast two columns of brass. Each column was eighteen cubits in height, and a line of twelve cubits encompassed both columns.
16 Ó sì túnṣe ìparí méjì ti idẹ dídá láti fi sókè àwọn ọ̀wọ́n náà, ìparí kan sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ márùn-ún ní gíga.
Also, he made two heads of molten brass, which would be set upon the tops of the columns: one head was five cubits in height, and the other head was five cubits in height.
17 Onírúurú iṣẹ́, àti ohun híhun ẹ̀wọ̀n fún àwọn ìparí tí ń bẹ lórí àwọn ọ̀wọ́n náà, méje fún ìparí kọ̀ọ̀kan.
And there was something like a network of chains, woven together in a wonderful manner. Both heads of the columns were cast, and seven rows of little nets traversed one head, and seven little nets were on the other head.
18 Ó sì ṣe àwọn pomegiranate ní ọ̀wọ́ méjì yíkákiri lára iṣẹ́ ọ̀wọ́n náà, láti fi bo àwọn ìparí ti ń bẹ lókè, ó sì ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ fún ìparí kejì.
And he finished the columns with two rows all around each network, so that these covered the heads, which were at the top, with pomegranates. And he did in like manner to the second head.
19 Àwọn ìparí tí ń bẹ ní òkè àwọn ọ̀wọ́n náà tí ń bẹ ní ọ̀dẹ̀dẹ̀ náà dàbí àwòrán lílì, ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́rin ní gíga.
Now the heads that were at the top of the columns, in the portico of four cubits, had been fabricated with a work of lilies.
20 Lórí àwọn ìparí ọ̀wọ́n méjì náà lókè, wọ́n sì súnmọ́ ibi tí ó yẹ lára ọ̀wọ́n tí ó wà níbi iṣẹ́ ọ̀wọ́n, wọ́n sì jẹ́ igba pomegiranate ní ọ̀wọ́ yíkákiri.
And again, there were other heads at the tops of the columns above, in accord with the measure of the column opposite the netting. And there were two hundred of the pomegranates, in rows around the second head.
21 Ó sì gbé àwọn ọ̀wọn náà ró ní ìloro tẹmpili, ó sì pe orúkọ ọ̀wọ́n tí ó wà ní gúúsù ní Jakini àti èyí tí ó wà ní àríwá ní Boasi.
And he stationed the two columns in the portico of the temple. And when he had stationed the column on the right, he called its name Jachin. Similarly, he erected the second column, and he called its name Boaz.
22 Àwọn ìparí lókè sì jẹ́ àwòrán lílì. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni iṣẹ́ ti àwọn ọ̀wọ́n sì parí.
And above the tops of the columns, he set a work in the manner of lilies. And the work of the columns was perfected.
23 Ó sì ṣe agbádá dídá, ó ṣe bíríkítí, ó wọn ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́wàá láti etí kan dé èkejì àti ìgbọ̀nwọ́ márùn-ún ní gíga rẹ̀. Ó sì gba okùn ọgbọ̀n ìgbọ̀nwọ́ láti wọ́n yí i ká.
He also made a molten sea, of ten cubits from brim to brim, rounded on all sides. Its height was five cubits, and a thin rope of thirty cubits wrapped it all around.
24 Ní ìsàlẹ̀ etí rẹ̀, kókó wá yí i ká, mẹ́wàá nínú ìgbọ̀nwọ́ kan. Ó yí agbádá náà káàkiri, a dá kókó náà ní ọ̀wọ́ méjì, nígbà tí a dá a.
And a sculpted work under the brim encircled it for ten cubits going around the sea. There were two rows cast of striated sculptures.
25 Ó sì dúró lórí màlúù méjìlá, mẹ́ta kọjú sí àríwá, mẹ́ta sì kọjú sí ìwọ̀-oòrùn, mẹ́ta kọjú sí gúúsù, mẹ́ta sì kọjú sí ìlà-oòrùn. Agbada náà sì jókòó lórí wọn, gbogbo apá ẹ̀yìn wọn sì ń bẹ nínú.
And it was standing upon twelve oxen, of which three were looking toward the north, and three toward the west, and three toward the south, and three toward the east. And the sea above was over them. And their posteriors were entirely hidden within.
26 Ó sì nípọn tó ìbú àtẹ́lẹwọ́, etí rẹ̀ sì dàbí etí ago, bí ìtànná lílì. Ó sì gba ẹgbẹ̀rún méjì ìwọ̀n bati.
And the basin was the thickness of three twelfths. And its brim was like the brim of a chalice, or like the outturned petal of a lily. It contained two thousand baths.
27 Ó sì túnṣe ẹsẹ̀ idẹ tí a lè gbé mẹ́wàá, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan wọn sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́rin ní gígùn, ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́rin ní ìbú àti ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́ta ní gíga.
And he made ten bases of brass: each base was four cubits in length, and four cubits in width, and three cubits in height.
28 Báyìí ni a sì ṣe ẹsẹ̀ náà, wọ́n ní àlàfo ọnà àárín tí a so mọ́ agbede-méjì ìpàdé etí.
And the work itself of the bases was engraved; and there were sculptures between the junctures.
29 Lórí àlàfo ọnà àárín tí ó wà lágbedeméjì ni àwòrán kìnnìún, màlúù, àti àwọn kérúbù wà, àti lórí ìpàdé etí bákan náà. Lókè àti nísàlẹ̀ àwọn kìnnìún, màlúù sì ni iṣẹ́ ọ̀ṣọ́ wà.
And between the little crowns and the edges, there were lions, and oxen, and cherubim; and similarly in the junctures above. And under the lions and oxen were something like bands of brass hanging down.
30 Ẹsẹ̀ kọ̀ọ̀kan sì ni kẹ̀kẹ́ idẹ mẹ́rin pẹ̀lú ọ̀pá kẹ̀kẹ́ idẹ, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan ni ó ní ìfẹsẹ̀tẹ̀ lábẹ́, tí a gbẹ́, iṣẹ́ ọ̀ṣọ́ wà ní ìhà gbogbo rẹ̀.
And each base had four wheels, with axels of brass. And at the four sides were something like little arms, under the cast basin, facing away from one another.
31 Nínú ẹsẹ̀ náà ẹnu kan wà tí ó kọ bíríkítí tí ó jìn ní ìgbọ̀nwọ́ kan. Ẹnu yìí ṣe róbótó àti pẹ̀lú iṣẹ́ ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ kan àti ààbọ̀. Ní àyíká ẹnu rẹ̀ ni ohun ọnà gbígbẹ́ wà. Àlàfo ọ̀nà àárín ẹsẹ̀ náà sì ní igun mẹ́rin, wọn kò yíká.
Also, the mouth of the interior of the basin was at the top of the head. And what was visible outside was of one cubit all around, and altogether it had one cubit and a half. Now at the corners of the columns were diverse engravings. And the spaces between the columns were square, not round.
32 Kẹ̀kẹ́ mẹ́rin sì wà nísàlẹ̀ àlàfo ọ̀nà àárín, a sì so ọ̀pá àyíká kẹ̀kẹ́ náà mọ́ ẹsẹ̀ náà. Gíga àyíká kẹ̀kẹ́ kan sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ kan àti ààbọ̀.
And the four wheels, which were at the four corners of the base, were joined to one another under the base. The height of one wheel held one cubit and a half.
33 A sì ṣe àyíká kẹ̀kẹ́ náà bí i iṣẹ́ kẹ̀kẹ́; igi ìdálu, ibi ihò, ibi ìpàdé, àti ọ̀pá tẹ́ẹ́rẹ́tẹ́ẹ́rẹ́ wọn, gbogbo wọn sì jẹ́ irin dídà.
Now these were the kind of wheels such as are often made for a chariot. And their axels, and spokes, and tires, and centers were all cast.
34 Ẹsẹ̀ kọ̀ọ̀kan sì ní ìfẹsẹ̀tẹ̀ mẹ́rin, ọ̀kan ní igun kọ̀ọ̀kan, tí ó yọrí jáde láti ẹsẹ̀.
And the four little arms, which were at each corner of a base, were cast and joined together as part of the base itself.
35 Lókè ẹsẹ̀ náà ni àyíká kan wà tí ó jẹ́ ààbọ̀ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní jíjìn. Ẹ̀gbẹ́ etí rẹ̀ àti àlàfo ọ̀nà àárín rẹ̀ ni a so mọ́ òkè ẹsẹ̀ náà.
And at the summit of the base, there was a round stand of one half cubit, fabricated so that the basin could be placed upon it, having its engravings, and various sculptures of its own.
36 Ó sì gbẹ́ àwòrán kérúbù, kìnnìún àti igi ọ̀pẹ, sára ìgbátí rẹ̀ àti sára pákó tí ó gbé ró, ní gbogbo ibi tí ààyè wà, pẹ̀lú iṣẹ́ ọ̀ṣọ́ yíkákiri.
He also engraved those plates, which were of brass. And at the corners were cherubim, and lions, and palm trees, standing out, as if in the likeness of a man, so that they seemed not to be engraved, but placed adjacent on all sides.
37 Báyìí ni ó ṣe ṣe àwọn ẹsẹ̀ mẹ́wẹ̀ẹ̀wá. Wọ́n sì gbẹ́ gbogbo wọn bákan náà, ìwọ̀n kan náà àti títóbi kan náà.
In this manner, he made ten bases with the same casting and measure, and very similar engravings.
38 Nígbà náà ni ó ṣe agbádá idẹ mẹ́wàá, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan gbà tó ogójì ìwọ̀n bati, ó sì wọn ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́rin, lórí ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan ẹsẹ̀ mẹ́wẹ̀ẹ̀wá náà ni agbádá kọ̀ọ̀kan wà.
He also made ten hand basins of brass. One hand basin contained four baths, and was of four cubits. And each basin he set upon a base, which is ten bases.
39 Ó sì fi ẹsẹ̀ márùn-ún sí apá ọ̀tún ìhà gúúsù ilé náà àti márùn-ún sí apá òsì ìhà àríwá. Ó sì gbé agbádá ńlá ka apá ọ̀tún, ní apá ìlà-oòrùn sí ìdojúkọ gúúsù ilé náà.
And he stationed the ten bases, five to the right side of the temple, and five to the left. And the sea he placed to the right side of the temple, opposite the east, toward the south.
40 Ó sì túnṣe ìkòkò, àti ọkọ́ àti àwokòtò. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Huramu sì parí gbogbo iṣẹ́ tí ó ṣe fún ilé Olúwa fún Solomoni ọba.
Then Hiram made cooking pots, and trays, and small hooks. And he completed all the work of king Solomon in the temple of the Lord:
41 Àwọn ọ̀wọ́n méjì; ọpọ́n méjì ìparí tí ó wà lókè àwọn ọ̀wọ́n iṣẹ́; àwọn méjì ní láti bo ọpọ́n méjì ìparí tí ń bẹ lókè àwọn ọ̀wọ́n;
the two columns, and the two cords of the heads over the tops of the columns, and the two networks which covered the two cords that were above the tops of the columns;
42 irinwó pomegiranate fún iṣẹ́ àwọn méjì, ọ̀wọ́ méjì pomegiranate fún iṣẹ́ àwọn kan láti bo àwọn ọpọ́n méjì ìparí tí ń bẹ lókè àwọn ọ̀wọ́n;
and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two turnings of pomegranates for each network, in order to cover the cords of the heads, which were above the tops of the columns;
43 ẹsẹ̀ mẹ́wàá pẹ̀lú agbádá mẹ́wàá wọn;
and the ten bases, and the ten basins on the bases;
44 agbada ńlá náà, àti màlúù méjìlá tí ó wà lábẹ́ rẹ̀;
and the one sea, and the twelve oxen under the sea;
45 ìkòkò, ọkọ́ àti àwokòtò. Gbogbo ohun èlò wọ̀nyí tí Hiramu ṣe fún Solomoni ọba nítorí iṣẹ́ Olúwa sì jẹ́ idẹ dídán.
and the cooking pots, and the trays, and the small hooks. All of the items that Hiram made for king Solomon, for the house of the Lord, were of golden brass.
46 Ọba sì dá wọn ní ilẹ̀ amọ̀ ní pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ Jordani lágbedeméjì Sukkoti àti Saretani.
In the open regions near the Jordan, the king cast these, in the clay soil between Succoth and Zarethan.
47 Solomoni sì jọ̀wọ́ gbogbo nǹkan wọ̀nyí láìwọ́n, nítorí tí wọ́n pọ̀jù; bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a kò sì mọ ìwọ̀n idẹ.
And Solomon positioned all the items. But because of its exceedingly great amount, the brass was not weighed.
48 Solomoni sì túnṣe gbogbo ohun ọ̀ṣọ́ tí ń ṣe ti ilé Olúwa pẹ̀lú: pẹpẹ wúrà; tábìlì wúrà lórí èyí tí àkàrà ìfihàn gbé wà.
And Solomon made all the furniture for the house of the Lord: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, upon which the bread of the presence would be placed;
49 Ọ̀pá fìtílà kìkì wúrà, márùn-ún ní apá ọ̀tún àti márùn-ún ní apá òsì, níwájú ibi mímọ́ jùlọ; ìtànná ewéko; fìtílà àti ẹ̀mú wúrà;
and the gold lampstands, five to the right, and five to the left, opposite the oracle, of pure gold; and likenesses of lily blossoms, with lamps above them, of gold; and gold tongs;
50 ọpọ́n kìkì wúrà, alumagaji fìtílà, àti àwokòtò, àti ṣíbí àti àwo tùràrí ti wúrà dáradára; àti àgbékọ́ wúrà fún ìlẹ̀kùn inú ilé Ibi Mímọ́ Jùlọ àti fún ìlẹ̀kùn ilé náà, àní ti tẹmpili.
and water pots, and little forks, and bowls, and little mortars, and censers, of the purest gold; and the hinges of the doors, for the interior house of the Holy of Holies and for the doors of the house of the temple, which were of gold.
51 Nígbà tí gbogbo iṣẹ́ tí Solomoni ọba ṣe fún ilé Olúwa parí, ó mú gbogbo nǹkan tí Dafidi baba rẹ̀ ti yà sí mímọ́ wá; fàdákà, wúrà àti ohun èlò, ó sì fi wọ́n sínú ìṣúra ilé Olúwa.
And Solomon perfected all the work that he was doing in the house of the Lord. And he brought in the things that his father David had sanctified: the silver, and the gold, and the vessels. And he stored these in the treasuries of the house of the Lord.
