< 1 Kings 11 >

1 Solomoni ọba fẹ́ ọ̀pọ̀ àjèjì obìnrin yàtọ̀ sí ọmọbìnrin Farao, àwọn ọmọbìnrin Moabu, àti ti Ammoni, ti Edomu, ti Sidoni àti ti àwọn ọmọ Hiti.
Bvt King Salomon loued many outlandish women: both the daughter of Pharaoh, and the women of Moab, Ammon, Edom, Zidon and Heth,
2 Wọ́n wá láti orílẹ̀-èdè tí Olúwa ti wí fún àwọn ọmọ Israẹli pé, “Ẹ̀yin kò gbọdọ̀ fẹ́ wọn níyàwó tàbí ní ọkọ, nítorí wọn yóò yí ọkàn yín padà sí òrìṣà wọn.” Síbẹ̀síbẹ̀ Solomoni fàmọ́ wọn ní ìfẹ́.
Of the nations, whereof the Lord had sayd vnto the children of Israel, Goe not ye in to them, nor let them come in to you: for surely they will turne your hearts after their gods, to them, I say, did Salomon ioyne in loue.
3 Ó sì ní ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀rin obìnrin, àwọn ọmọ ọba àti ọ̀ọ́dúnrún àlè, àwọn ìyàwó rẹ̀ sì yí i ní ọkàn padà.
And he had seuen hundreth wiues, that were princesses, and three hundreth concubines, and his wiues turned away his heart.
4 Bí Solomoni sì ti di arúgbó, àwọn ìyàwó rẹ̀ sì yí i ní ọkàn padà sí ọlọ́run mìíràn, ọkàn rẹ̀ kò sì ṣe déédé pẹ̀lú Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ̀, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọkàn Dafidi baba rẹ̀ ti ṣe.
For when Salomon was olde, his wiues turned his heart after other gods, so that his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of Dauid his father.
5 Solomoni tọ Aṣtoreti òrìṣà àwọn ará Sidoni lẹ́yìn, àti Moleki òrìṣà ìríra àwọn ọmọ Ammoni.
For Salomon followed Ashtaroth the god of the Zidonians, and Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
6 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Solomoni ṣe búburú níwájú Olúwa; kò sì tọ Olúwa lẹ́yìn ní pípé, bí Dafidi baba rẹ̀ ti ṣe.
So Salomon wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord, but continued not to follow the Lord, as did Dauid his father.
7 Lórí òkè tí ń bẹ níwájú Jerusalẹmu, Solomoni kọ́ ibi gíga kan fún Kemoṣi, òrìṣà ìríra Moabu, àti fún Moleki, òrìṣà ìríra àwọn ọmọ Ammoni.
Then did Salomon build an hie place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, in the mountaine that is ouer against Ierusalem, and vnto Molech the abomination of the children of Ammon.
8 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó sì ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ fún gbogbo àwọn àjèjì obìnrin rẹ̀, ẹni tí ń sun tùràrí, tí wọ́n sì ń rú ẹbọ fún òrìṣà wọn.
And so did he for all his outlandish wiues, which burnt incense and offered vnto their gods.
9 Olúwa bínú sí Solomoni nítorí ọkàn rẹ̀ ti yípadà kúrò lọ́dọ̀ Olúwa Ọlọ́run Israẹli, tí ó ti fi ara hàn án lẹ́ẹ̀méjì.
Therefore the Lord was angry with Salomon, because hee had turned his heart from the Lord God of Israel, which had appeared vnto him twise,
10 Bí o tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé ó ti kìlọ̀ fún Solomoni kí ó má ṣe tọ àwọn ọlọ́run mìíràn lẹ́yìn, ṣùgbọ́n Solomoni kò pa àṣẹ Olúwa mọ́.
And had giuen him a charge concerning this thing, that he should not follow other gods: but he kept not that, which the Lord had commanded him.
11 Nítorí náà Olúwa wí fún Solomoni pé, “Nítorí bí ìwọ ti ṣe nǹkan yìí, tí ìwọ kò sì pa májẹ̀mú mi àti àṣẹ mi mọ́, tí mo ti pàṣẹ fún ọ, dájúdájú èmi yóò fa ìjọba ya kúrò lọ́wọ́ rẹ, èmi yóò sì fi fún ẹlòmíràn.
Wherefore the Lord sayd vnto Salomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my couenant, and my statutes (which I commanded thee) I will surely rent the kingdome from thee, and will giue it to thy seruant.
12 Ṣùgbọ́n, nítorí Dafidi baba rẹ, Èmi kì yóò ṣe é ní ọjọ́ rẹ. Èmi yóò fà á ya kúrò lọ́wọ́ ọmọ rẹ.
Notwithstanding in thy dayes I will not doe it, because of Dauid thy father, but I will rent it out of the hand of thy sonne:
13 Síbẹ̀ èmi kì yóò fa gbogbo ìjọba náà ya, ṣùgbọ́n èmi yóò fi ẹ̀yà kan fún ọmọ rẹ nítorí Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi, àti nítorí Jerusalẹmu tí èmi ti yàn.”
Howbeit I wil not rent all the Kingdome, but will giue one tribe to thy sonne, because of Dauid my seruant, and because of Ierusalem which I haue chosen.
14 Nígbà náà ni Olúwa gbé ọ̀tá kan dìde sí Solomoni, Hadadi ará Edomu ìdílé ọba ni ó ti wá ní Edomu.
Then the Lord stirred vp an aduersarie vnto Salomon, euen Hadad the Edomite, of the Kings seede, which was in Edom.
15 Ó sì ṣe, nígbà tí Dafidi wà ní Edomu, Joabu olórí ogun sì gòkè lọ láti sin àwọn ọmọ-ogun Israẹli ti a pa lójú ogun, ó sì pa gbogbo ọkùnrin Edomu.
For when Dauid was in Edom, and Ioab the captaine of the hoste had smitten all the males in Edom, and was gone vp to bury ye slaine,
16 Nítorí Joabu àti gbogbo Israẹli sì dúró níbẹ̀ fún oṣù mẹ́fà, títí wọ́n fi pa gbogbo ọkùnrin Edomu run.
(For six moneths did Ioab remaine there, and all Israel, till he had destroyed all the males in Edom)
17 Ṣùgbọ́n Hadadi sálọ sí Ejibiti pẹ̀lú àwọn ará Edomu tí wọ́n jẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ baba rẹ̀. Hadadi sì wà ní ọmọdé nígbà náà.
Then this Hadad fled and certaine other Edomites of his fathers seruants with him, to goe into Egypt, Hadad being yet a litle childe.
18 Wọ́n sì dìde kúrò ní Midiani, wọ́n sì lọ sí Parani. Nígbà náà ni wọ́n mú ènìyàn pẹ̀lú wọn láti Parani wá, wọ́n sì lọ sí Ejibiti, sọ́dọ̀ Farao ọba Ejibiti ẹni tí ó fún Hadadi ní ilé àti ilẹ̀, ó sì fún un ní oúnjẹ.
And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran, and tooke men with them out of Paran, and came to Egypt vnto Pharaoh King of Egypt, which gaue him an house, and appointed him vitailes, and gaue him lande.
19 Inú Farao sì dùn sí Hadadi púpọ̀ tí ó fi fún un ní arábìnrin aya rẹ̀ ní aya, arábìnrin Tapenesi, ayaba.
So Hadad found great fauour in the sight of Pharaoh, and he gaue him to wife the sister of his owne wife, euen the sister of Tahpenes the Queene.
20 Arábìnrin Tapenesi bí ọmọkùnrin kan fún un tí à ń pe orúkọ rẹ̀ ní Genubati, ẹni tí Tapenesi tọ́ dàgbà ní ààfin ọba. Níbẹ̀ ni Genubati ń gbé pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọ Farao fúnra rẹ̀.
And the sister of Tahpenes bare him Genubath his sonne, whome Tahpenes wayned in Pharaohs house: and Genubath was in Pharaohs house among the sonnes of Pharaoh.
21 Nígbà tí ó sì wà ní Ejibiti, Hadadi sì gbọ́ pé Dafidi ti sùn pẹ̀lú àwọn baba rẹ̀, àti pé Joabu olórí ogun sì ti kú pẹ̀lú. Nígbà náà ni Hadadi wí fún Farao pé, “Jẹ́ kí n lọ, kí èmi kí ó le padà sí ìlú mi.”
And when Hadad heard in Egypt, that Dauid slept with his fathers, and that Ioab the captaine of the hoste was dead, Hadad sayde to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may goe to mine owne countrey.
22 Farao sì wí fún un pé, “Kí ni ìwọ ṣe aláìní níbí, tí ìwọ fi fẹ́ padà lọ sí ìlú rẹ?” Hadadi sì wí pé, “Kò sí nǹkan, ṣùgbọ́n sá à jẹ́ kí èmi kí ó lọ!”
But Pharaoh saide vnto him, What hast thou lacked with me, that thou wouldest thus go to thine owne countrey? And he answered, Nothing, but in any wise let me goe.
23 Ọlọ́run sì gbé ọ̀tá mìíràn dìde sí Solomoni, Resoni ọmọ Eliada, ẹni tí ó ti sá kúrò lọ́dọ̀ Hadadeseri olúwa rẹ̀, ọba Soba.
And God stirred him vp another aduersarie, Rezon the sonne of Eliada, which fled from his lorde Hadadezer King of Zobah.
24 Ó sì kó ènìyàn jọ sọ́dọ̀ ara rẹ̀, ó sì di olórí ogun ẹgbẹ́ kan, nígbà tí Dafidi fi pa ogun Soba run; wọ́n sì lọ sí Damasku, wọ́n ń gbé ibẹ̀, wọ́n sì jẹ ọba ní Damasku.
And he gathered men vnto him, and had bene captaine ouer the company, when Dauid slew them. And they went to Damascus, and dwelt there, and they made him King in Damascus.
Therefore was he an aduersarie to Israel all the daies of Salomon: besides the euil that Hadad did, he also abhorred Israel, and reigned ouer Aram
26 Bákan náà Jeroboamu ọmọ Nebati sì ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí ọba. Ó sì jẹ́ ọ̀kan lára àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Solomoni, ará Efraimu ti Sereda, ìyá rẹ̀ sì jẹ́ opó, orúkọ rẹ̀ ni Serua.
And Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat an Ephrathite of Zereda Salomons seruant (whose mother was called Zeruah a widowe) lift vp his hand against the King.
27 Èyí sì ni ìdí tí ó fi ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí ọba: Solomoni kọ́ Millo, ó sì di ẹ̀yà ìlú Dafidi baba rẹ̀.
And this was the cause that he lift vp his hande against the King, When Salomon built Millo, he repared the broken places of the citie of Dauid his father.
28 Jeroboamu jẹ́ ọkùnrin alágbára, nígbà tí Solomoni sì rí bí ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin náà ti ṣe iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ dáradára, ó fi í ṣe olórí iṣẹ́ ìrú ilé Josẹfu.
And this man Ieroboam was a man of strength and courage, and Salomon seeing that the yong man was meete for the worke, he made him ouerseer of all the labour of the house of Ioseph.
29 Ó sì ṣe, ní àkókò náà Jeroboamu ń jáde kúrò ní Jerusalẹmu. Wòlíì Ahijah ti Ṣilo sì pàdé rẹ̀ lójú ọ̀nà, ó sì wọ agbádá tuntun. Àwọn méjèèjì nìkan ni ó sì ń bẹ ní oko,
And at that time, when Ieroboam went out of Ierusalem, the Prophet Ahiiah the Shilonite founde him in the way, hauing a newe garment on him, and they two were alone in ye field.
30 Ahijah sì gbá agbádá tuntun tí ó wọ̀ mú, ó sì fà á ya sí ọ̀nà méjìlá.
Then Ahiiah caught the newe garment that was on him, and rent it in twelue pieces,
31 Nígbà náà ni ó sọ fún Jeroboamu pé, “Mú ọ̀nà mẹ́wàá fún ara rẹ, nítorí báyìí ni Olúwa Ọlọ́run Israẹli wí pé, ‘Wò ó, èmi yóò fa ìjọba náà ya kúrò ní ọwọ́ Solomoni, èmi yóò sì fi ẹ̀yà mẹ́wàá fún ọ.
And said to Ieroboam, Take vnto thee ten pieces: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Beholde, I wil rent the kingdome out of ye hands of Salomon, and will giue ten tribes to thee.
32 Ṣùgbọ́n nítorí ti Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi àti nítorí Jerusalẹmu, ìlú tí mo ti yàn nínú gbogbo ẹ̀yà Israẹli, òun yóò ní ẹ̀yà kan.
But he shall haue one tribe for my seruant Dauids sake, and for Ierusalem the citie, which I haue chosen out of all the tribes of Israel,
33 Èmi yóò ṣe èyí nítorí tí wọ́n ti kọ̀ mí sílẹ̀, wọ́n sì ti sin Aṣtoreti òrìṣà àwọn ará Sidoni, Kemoṣi òrìṣà àwọn ará Moabu, àti Moleki òrìṣà àwọn ọmọ Ammoni, wọn kò sì rìn ní ọ̀nà mi, tàbí ṣe èyí tí ó dára lójú mi, tàbí pa àṣẹ àti òfin mi mọ́ bí Dafidi baba Solomoni ti ṣe.
Because they haue forsaken me, and haue worshipped Ashtaroth the god of the Zidonians, and Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the Ammonites, and haue not walked in my wayes (to do right in mine eyes, and my statutes, and my lawes) as did Dauid his father.
34 “‘Ṣùgbọ́n èmi kì yóò gba gbogbo ìjọba náà lọ́wọ́ Solomoni; èmi ti mú un jẹ́ olórí ní gbogbo ọjọ́ ayé rẹ̀ nítorí ti Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi, ẹni tí mo yàn, tí ó sì ti pa òfin mi àti àṣẹ mi mọ́.
But I will not take the whole kingdome out of his hande: for I will make him prince all his life long for Dauid my seruants sake, whome I haue chosen, and who kept my commandements and my statutes.
35 Èmi yóò gba ìjọba náà ní ọwọ́ ọmọ rẹ̀, èmi yóò sì fi ẹ̀yà mẹ́wàá fún ọ.
But I will take the kingdome out of his sonnes hand, and will giue it vnto thee, euen the ten tribes.
36 Èmi yóò fi ẹ̀yà kan fún ọmọ rẹ kí Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi lè máa ní ìmọ́lẹ̀ níwájú mi nígbà gbogbo ní Jerusalẹmu, ìlú tí mo ti yàn láti fi orúkọ mi síbẹ̀.
And vnto his sonne will I giue one tribe, that Dauid my seruant may haue a light alway before me in Ierusalem the citie, which I haue chosen me, to put my Name there.
37 Ṣùgbọ́n ní ti ìwọ, Èmi yóò mú ọ, ìwọ yóò sì jẹ ọba lórí ohun gbogbo tí ọkàn rẹ ń fẹ́; ìwọ yóò jẹ ọba lórí Israẹli.
And I wil take thee, and thou shalt reigne, euen as thine heart desireth, and shalt be King ouer Israel.
38 Bí ìwọ bá ṣe gbogbo èyí tí mo pàṣẹ fún ọ, tí o sì rìn ní ọ̀nà mi, tí o sì ṣe èyí tí ó tọ́ lójú mi nípa pípa òfin àti àṣẹ mi mọ́, bí i Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi ti ṣe, Èmi yóò wà pẹ̀lú rẹ. Èmi yóò kọ́ ilé òtítọ́ fún ọ bí èyí tí mo kọ́ fún Dafidi, èmi yóò sì fi Israẹli fún ọ.
And if thou hearken vnto all that I commande thee, and wilt walke in my wayes, and doe right in my sight, to keepe my statutes and my commandements, as Dauid my seruant did, then will I be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built vnto Dauid, and wil giue Israel vnto thee.
39 Èmi yóò sì rẹ irú-ọmọ Dafidi sílẹ̀ nítorí èyí, ṣùgbọ́n kì í ṣe títí láé.’”
And I will for this afflict the seede of Dauid, but not for euer.
40 Solomoni wá ọ̀nà láti pa Jeroboamu, ṣùgbọ́n Jeroboamu sálọ sí Ejibiti, sọ́dọ̀ Ṣiṣaki ọba Ejibiti, ó sì wà níbẹ̀ títí Solomoni fi kú.
Salomon sought therefore to kill Ieroboam, and Ieroboam arose, and fled into Egypt vnto Shishak King of Egypt, and was in Egypt vntil the death of Salomon.
41 Ìyókù iṣẹ́ Solomoni àti gbogbo èyí tí ó ṣe, àti ọgbọ́n rẹ̀, a kò ha kọ wọ́n sínú ìwé ìṣe Solomoni bí?
And the rest of the wordes of Salomon, and all that he did, and his wisedom, are they not written in the booke of the actes of Salomon?
42 Solomoni sì jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu lórí gbogbo Israẹli ní ogójì ọdún.
The time that Salomon reigned in Ierusalem ouer all Israel, was fourtie yeere.
43 Nígbà náà ni Solomoni sì sùn pẹ̀lú àwọn baba rẹ̀, a sì sin ín ní ìlú Dafidi baba rẹ̀. Rehoboamu ọmọ rẹ̀ sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
And Salomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the citie of Dauid his father: and Rehoboam his sonne reigned in his steade.
