< 1 Corinthians 16 >

1 Ǹjẹ́ ní ti ìdáwó fún àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́, bí mo tí wí fún àwọn ìjọ Galatia, bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ ní kí ẹ ṣe.
With reference to the collection for Christ’s people, I want you to follow the instructions that I gave to the churches in Galatia.
2 Ní ọjọ́ kìn-ín-ní ọ̀sẹ̀, kí olúkúlùkù yín fi sínú ìṣúra lọ́dọ̀ ara rẹ̀ ni apá kan, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Ọlọ́run ti ṣe rere fún ún, ki ó má ṣe si ìkójọ nígbà tí mo bá dé.
On the first day of every week each of you should put by what he can afford, so that no collections need be made after I have come.
3 Àti nígbà ti mo bá dé, àwọn ẹni tí ẹ bá yàn, àwọn ni èmi ó rán láti mú ẹ̀bùn yín gòkè lọ si Jerusalẹmu.
On my arrival, I will send any persons, whom you may authorize by letter, to carry your gift to Jerusalem;
4 Bí ó bá sì yẹ kí èmí lọ pẹ̀lú, wọn ó sì bá mi lọ.
and, if it appears to be worth while for me to go also, they will go with me.
5 Ṣùgbọ́n èmi yóò tọ̀ yin wá, nígbà tí èmí bá ti kọjá láàrín Makedonia: nítorí èmi yóò kọjá láàrín Makedonia.
I will come to you as soon as I have been through Macedonia – for I am going through Macedonia –
6 Bóyá èmi ó sì dúró pẹ̀lú yín, tàbí kí n tilẹ̀ lo àkókò òtútù, ki ẹ̀yin lé sìn mí ni ọ̀nà àjò mí, níbikíbi tí mo bá ń lọ.
And I will probably make some stay with you or, perhaps, remain for the winter, so that you may yourselves send me on my way, wherever I may be going.
7 Nítorí èmi kò fẹ́ kan ri yín kí èmi sì ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ kọjá lọ; nítorí èmi ń retí àti dúró lọ́dọ̀ yín díẹ̀, bí Olúwa bá fẹ́.
I do not propose to pay you a visit in passing now, for I hope to stay with you for some time, if the Lord permits.
8 Ṣùgbọ́n èmi yóò dúró ni Efesu títí dí Pentikosti.
I intend, however, staying at Ephesus until the Festival at the close of the Harvest;
9 Nítorí pé ìlẹ̀kùn ńlá láti ṣe iṣẹ́ gidi ṣí sílẹ̀ fún mí, ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ sì ni àwọn ọ̀tá tí ń bẹ.
for a great opening for active work has presented itself, and there are many opponents.
10 Ǹjẹ́ bí Timotiu bá dé, ẹ jẹ́ kí ó wà lọ́dọ̀ yín láìbẹ̀rù, nítorí òun ń ṣé iṣẹ́ Olúwa, bí èmi pẹ̀lú ti ń ṣe.
If Timothy comes, take care that he has no cause for feeling anxious while he is with you. He is doing the Master’s work no less than I am.
11 Nítorí náà kí ẹnikẹ́ni má ṣe kẹ́gàn rẹ̀. Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ sín ín jáde lọ́nà àjò ni àlàáfíà, kí òun lè tọ̀ mí wá; nítorí tí èmí ń fi ojú sí ọ̀nà fún wíwá rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn arákùnrin.
No one, therefore, should slight him. See him safely on his way to me, for I am expecting him with some of our friends.
12 Ṣùgbọ́n ní ti Apollo arákùnrin wa, mo bẹ̀ ẹ́ púpọ̀ láti tọ̀ yín wá pẹ̀lú àwọn arákùnrin, ṣùgbọ́n kì í ṣe ìfẹ́ rẹ̀ rárá láti wà nísinsin yìí, ṣùgbọ́n òun yóò wá nígbà tí ààyè bá ṣí sílẹ̀ fún un.
As for our friend Apollos, I have often urged him to go to you with the others. He has, however, been very unwilling to do so as yet; but he will go as soon as he finds a good opportunity.
13 Ẹ máa ṣọ́ra, ẹ dúró ṣinṣin nínú ìgbàgbọ́, ẹ ṣe bi ọkùnrin tí ó ní ìgboyà, ẹ jẹ́ alágbára.
Be watchful; stand firm in your faith; be brave; be strong.
14 Ẹ máa ṣe ohun gbogbo nínú ìfẹ́.
Let everything you do be done in a loving spirit.
15 Ǹjẹ́ mo bẹ̀ yín ará, ẹ ṣá mọ ilé Stefana pé, àwọn ni ẹni àkọ́kọ́ tó gba Jesu ní Akaia, àti pé, wọn sì tí fi ará wọn fún iṣẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́.
I have another request to make of you, friends. You remember Stephanas and his household, and that they were the first-fruits gathered in from Greece, and set themselves to serve Christ’s people.
16 Kí ẹ̀yin tẹríba fún irú àwọn báwọ̀nyí, àti fún olúkúlùkù olùbáṣiṣẹ́ pọ̀ pẹ̀lú wa tí ó sì ń ṣe làálàá.
I want you, on your part, to show deference to such people as these, as well as to every fellow laborer and earnest worker.
17 Mo láyọ̀ fún wíwá Stefana àti Fortunatu àti Akaiku, nítorí èyí tí ó kù nípá tí yín wọ́n ti fi kún un.
I am glad Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have come, for they have made up for your absence;
18 Nítorí tí wọ́n tu ẹ̀mí mí lára àti tiyín: nítorí náà, ẹ máa gba irú àwọn ti ó rí bẹ́ẹ̀.
they have cheered my heart, and your hearts also. Recognize the worth of such people as these.
19 Àwọn ìjọ ni Asia kí í yín. Akuila àti Priskilla kí í yín púpọ̀ nínú Olúwa, pẹ̀lú ìjọ tí ó wà ni ilé wọn.
The churches in Roman Asia send you their greetings. Aquila and Prisca and the church that meets at their house send you many Christian greetings.
20 Gbogbo àwọn arákùnrin kí í yín. Ẹ fi ìfẹnukonu mímọ́ kí ara yín.
All of the Lord’s followers send you greetings. Greet one another with a sacred kiss.
21 Ìkíni ti èmi Paulu, láti ọwọ́ èmi tìkára mi wá.
I, Paul, add this greeting in my own handwriting.
22 Bí ẹnikẹ́ni kò bá ní ìfẹ́ Jesu Kristi Olúwa, jẹ́ kí ó dì ẹni ìfibú. Máa bọ Olúwa wa!
Accursed be anyone who has no love for the Lord. THE LORD IS COMING.
23 Oore-ọ̀fẹ́ Jesu Kristi Olúwa kí ó wà pẹ̀lú yín!
May the blessing of the Lord Jesus be with you.
24 Ìfẹ́ mi wá pẹ̀lú gbogbo yín nínú Kristi Jesu. Àmín.
My love to all of you who are in union with Christ Jesus.
