< 1 Corinthians 15 >
1 Ǹjẹ́ ará, èmi ń sọ ìyìnrere náà dí mí mọ̀ fún un yín, tí mo ti wàásù fún un yín, èyí tí ẹ̀yin pẹ̀lú ti gbá, nínú èyí tí ẹ̀yin sì dúró.
And I make known to you, brothers, the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you also received, in which you also have stood,
2 Nípasẹ̀ ìyìnrere yìí ni a fi ń gbà yín là pẹ̀lú, bí ẹ̀yin bá di ọ̀rọ̀ ti mo ti wàásù fún yín mú ṣinṣin. Bí bẹ́ẹ̀ kọ̀, ẹ̀yin kàn gbàgbọ́ lásán.
through which you are also being saved, if you hold fast [to] the word—what I proclaimed as good news to you—unless you believed in vain.
3 Nítorí èyí tí mo rí gbà ṣáájú ohun gbogbo ní èmi pẹ̀lú ti fi lé e yín lọ́wọ́, bí Kristi ti kú nítorí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wá gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwé mímọ́ tí wí.
For I delivered to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Writings,
4 Àti pé a sìnkú rẹ̀, àti pé ó jíǹde ní ọjọ́ kẹta gẹ́gẹ́ bí Ìwé Mímọ́ tí wí;
and that He was buried, and that He has risen on the third day according to the Writings,
5 àti pé ó farahàn Peteru, lẹ́yìn èyí, àwọn méjìlá.
and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve,
6 Lẹ́yìn èyí, ó farahàn àwọn ará tí o jú ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀ta lọ lẹ́ẹ̀kan náà; ọ̀pọ̀ nínú wọn wà títí fi di ìsinsin yìí, ṣùgbọ́n àwọn díẹ̀ ti sùn.
afterward He appeared to above five hundred brothers at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, and some also fell asleep;
7 Lẹ́yìn èyí ni ó farahan Jakọbu; lẹ́yìn náà fún gbogbo àwọn aposteli.
afterward He appeared to James, then to all the apostles.
8 Àti níkẹyìn gbogbo wọn ó farahàn mí pẹ̀lú, bí ẹni tí a bí ṣáájú àkókò rẹ̀.
And last of all—as to the untimely birth—He also appeared to me,
9 Nítorí èmi ni ẹni tí ó kéré jùlọ nínú àwọn aposteli, èmi ẹni tí kò yẹ láti pè ní aposteli, nítorí tí mo ṣe inúnibíni sí ìjọ ènìyàn Ọlọ́run.
for I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the Assembly of God,
10 Ṣùgbọ́n nípa oore-ọ̀fẹ́ Ọlọ́run mo rí bí mo ti rí: oore-ọ̀fẹ́ rẹ̀ tí a fi fún mi kò sì jẹ́ asán; ṣùgbọ́n mó ṣiṣẹ́ lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀ jú gbogbo wọn lọ, ṣùgbọ́n kì í ṣe èmi, bí kò ṣe oore-ọ̀fẹ́ Ọlọ́run tí ó wà pẹ̀lú mi.
and by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace that [is] toward me did not come in vain, but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God that [is] with me;
11 Nítorí náà ìbá à ṣe èmí tàbí àwọn ni, èyí ní àwa wàásù, èyí ní ẹ̀yin sì gbàgbọ́.
whether, then, I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.
12 Ǹjẹ́ bí a bá wàásù Kristi pé ó tí jíǹde kúrò nínú òkú, èéha tí ṣe tí àwọn mìíràn nínú yín fi wí pé, àjíǹde òkú kò sí.
And if Christ is preached, that He has risen out of the dead, how [do] certain among you say that there is no resurrection of [the] dead?
13 Ṣùgbọ́n bí àjíǹde òkú kò sí, ǹjẹ́ Kristi kò jíǹde.
And if there is no resurrection of [the] dead, neither has Christ risen;
14 Bí Kristi kò bá sì jíǹde, ǹjẹ́ asán ni ìwàásù wà, asán sì ni ìgbàgbọ́ yín pẹ̀lú.
and if Christ has not risen, then our preaching [is] void, and your faith [is] also void,
15 Ṣùgbọ́n jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ, a mú wa ni ẹlẹ́rìí èké fún Ọlọ́run; nítorí ti àwa jẹ́rìí Ọlọ́run pé ó jí Kristi dìde kúrò nínú òkú: ẹni tí òun kò jí dìde bí ó bá ṣe pé àwọn òkú kò jíǹde?
and we are also found [to be] false witnesses of God, because we testified of God that He raised up the Christ, whom He did not raise if then dead persons do not rise;
16 Nítorí pé bi á kò bá jí àwọn òkú dìde, ǹjẹ́ a kò jí Kristi dìde,
for if dead persons do not rise, neither has Christ risen,
17 bí a kò bá sì jí Kristi dìde, asán ní ìgbàgbọ́ yín; ẹ̀yin wà nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ yín síbẹ̀.
and if Christ has not risen, your faith is vain, you are yet in your sins;
18 Ǹjẹ́ àwọn pẹ̀lú tí ó sùn nínú Kristi ṣègbé.
then, also, those having fallen asleep in Christ perished;
19 Bí ó bá ṣe pé kìkì ayé yìí nìkan ní àwa ní ìrètí nínú Kristi, àwa jásí òtòṣì jùlọ nínú gbogbo ènìyàn.
if we only have hope in Christ in this life, we are to be most pitied of all men.
20 Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí Kristi tí jíǹde kúrò nínú òkú, ó sì dí àkọ́bí nínú àwọn tí ó sùn.
And now, Christ has risen out of the dead—He became the first-fruits of those sleeping,
21 Nítorí ìgbà tí ó jẹ́ pé nípa ènìyàn ní ikú ti wá, nípa ènìyàn ní àjíǹde òkú sì ti wá pẹ̀lú.
for since through man [is] death, also through Man [is] a resurrection of the dead,
22 Nítorí bí gbogbo ènìyàn ti kú nínú Adamu, bẹ́ẹ̀ ní a ó sì sọ gbogbo ènìyàn dí alààyè nínú Kristi.
for even as in Adam all die, so also in the Christ all will be made alive,
23 Ṣùgbọ́n olúkúlùkù ènìyàn ní ipá tirẹ̀: Kristi àkọ́bí; lẹ́yìn èyí àwọn tí ó jẹ́ tí Kristi ni wíwá rẹ̀.
and each in his proper order: Christ, a first-fruit, afterward those who are the Christ’s in His coming,
24 Nígbà náà ni òpin yóò dé, nígbà tí ó bá ti fi ìjọba fún Ọlọ́run Baba, nígbà tí ó bá pa gbogbo àṣẹ àti gbogbo ọlá àti agbára run.
then—the end, when He may deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when He may have made all rule useless, and all authority and power.
25 Nítorí ti òun gbọdọ̀ ti jẹ ọba kí òun to fi gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀ sí abẹ́ ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀.
For it is necessary for Him to reign until He may have put all the enemies under His feet.
26 Ikú ní ọ̀tá ìkẹyìn tí a ó parun.
The last enemy is done away with—death.
27 “Nítorí ó ti fi ohun gbogbo sábẹ́ ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀.” Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ó wí pé, “Ohun gbogbo ni á fi sí abẹ́ rẹ̀,” o dájú pé Ọlọ́run nìkan ṣoṣo ní kò sí ní abẹ́ rẹ̀, Òun ní ó fi ohun gbogbo sí abẹ́ àkóso Kristi.
For He put all things under His feet, and when one may say that all things have been subjected, [it is] evident that He is excepted who subjected all things to Him,
28 Nígbà tí a bá sì fi ohun gbogbo sí abẹ́ rẹ̀ tán, nígbà náà ni á ó fi ọmọ tìkára rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú sábẹ́ ẹni tí ó fi ohun gbogbo sí abẹ́ rẹ̀, kí Ọlọ́run lè jásí ohun gbogbo nínú ohun gbogbo.
and when all things may be subjected to Him, then also the Son Himself will be subject to Him, who subjected to Him all things, that God may be the all in all.
29 Ní báyìí, bí kò bá sí àjíǹde, kín ní ète àwọn ènìyàn tí wọn ń tẹ bọ omi nítorí òkú? Bí àwọn òkú kò bá jíǹde rárá, nítorí kín ni a ṣe ń bamitiisi wọn nítorí wọn?
Seeing what will they do who are immersed for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? Why are they also immersed for the dead?
30 Nítorí kín ní àwa sì ṣe ń bẹ nínú ewu ni wákàtí gbogbo?
Why do we also stand in peril every hour?
31 Mo sọ nípa ayọ̀ tí mo ní lórí yín nínú Kristi Jesu Olúwa wá pé, èmi ń kú lójoojúmọ́.
I die every day, by the glorying of you that I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.
32 Kí a wí bí ènìyàn, bí mo bá ẹranko jà ní Efesu, àǹfààní kín ni ó jẹ́ fún mi? Bí àwọn òkú kò bá jíǹde, “Ẹ jẹ́ kí a máa jẹ, kí á máa mú; nítorí ní ọlá ni àwa ó kú.”
If I fought with wild beasts in Ephesus after the manner of a man, what [is] the advantage to me if the dead do not rise? Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!
33 Kí a má tàn yín jẹ́, “Ẹgbẹ́ búburú bá ìwà rere jẹ́.”
Do not be led astray; evil communications corrupt good manners;
34 Ẹ jí ìjí òdodo, kí ẹ má sì dẹ́ṣẹ̀; nítorí àwọn ẹlòmíràn kò ni imọ̀ Ọlọ́run, mo sọ èyí kí ojú ba à lè tiyín.
wake up, as is right, and do not sin; for some have an ignorance of God; I say [it] to you for shame.
35 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹnìkan yóò wí pé, “Báwo ni àwọn òkú yóò ṣe jíǹde? Irú ara wó ni wọn ó padà sí?”
But someone will say, “How do the dead rise?”
36 Ìwọ aláìmòye, ohun tí ìwọ fúnrúgbìn kì í yè bí kò ṣe pé ó ba kú,
Unwise! You—what you sow is not quickened except it may die;
37 àti èyí tí ìwọ fúnrúgbìn, kì í ṣe ara tí ń bọ̀ ni ìwọ fúnrúgbìn, ṣùgbọ́n èso lásán ni, ìbá à ṣe alikama, tàbí irú mìíràn.
and that which you sow, you do not sow the body that will be, but a bare grain, it may be of wheat, or of someone of the others,
38 Ṣùgbọ́n Ọlọ́run fún ún ni ara bí o tí wù ú, àti fún olúkúlùkù irúgbìn ara tirẹ̀.
and God gives a body to it according as He willed, and its proper body to each of the seeds.
39 Gbogbo ẹran-ara kì í ṣe ẹran-ara kan náà, ṣùgbọ́n ọ̀tọ̀ ni ẹran-ara ti ènìyàn, ọ̀tọ̀ ni ẹran-ara ti ẹranko, ọ̀tọ̀ ní ti ẹja, ọ̀tọ̀ sì ní tí ẹyẹ.
All flesh [is] not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another of fishes, and another of birds;
40 Ará ti òkè ọ̀run ń bẹ, ara ti ayé pẹ̀lú sì ń bẹ, ṣùgbọ́n ògo ti òkè ọ̀run ọ̀tọ̀, àti ògo ti ayé ọ̀tọ̀.
and [there are] heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; but one [is] the glory of the heavenly, and another that of the earthly;
41 Ọ̀tọ̀ ni ògo ti oòrùn, ọ̀tọ̀ ni ògo ti òṣùpá, ọ̀tọ̀ sì ni ògo ti ìràwọ̀; ìràwọ̀ ṣá yàtọ̀ sí ìràwọ̀ ni ògo.
one glory of sun, and another glory of moon, and another glory of stars, for star differs from star in glory.
42 Gẹ́gẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀ sí ni àjíǹde òkú. A gbìn ín ní ìdíbàjẹ́; a sí jì í dìde ni àìdíbàjẹ́.
So also [is] the resurrection of the dead: it is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption;
43 A gbìn ín ni àìní ọlá, a sí jí i dìde ni ògo; a gbìn ín ni àìlera, a sì jí í dìde ní agbára.
it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
44 A gbìn ín ni, ara ẹran a sì jí i dìde ni ara ti ẹ̀mí. Bí ara ẹran bá ń bẹ, ara ẹ̀mí náà sì ń bẹ.
it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body;
45 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ní a si kọ ọ́ pé, “Adamu ọkùnrin ìṣáájú, alààyè ọkàn ni a dá a”; Adamu ìkẹyìn ẹ̀mí ìsọnidààyè.
so also it has been written: “The first man Adam became a living creature,” the last Adam [is] for a life-giving spirit,
46 Ṣùgbọ́n èyí tí í ṣe tí ẹ̀mí kọ ní ó kọ́kọ́ ṣáájú, bí kò ṣe èyí tí í ṣe tí ara ọkàn, lẹ́yìn náà èyí ti í ṣe ti ẹ̀mí.
but that which is spiritual [is] not first, but that which [was] natural, afterward that which [is] spiritual.
47 Ọkùnrin ìṣáájú ti inú erùpẹ̀ wá gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹni erùpẹ̀: ọkùnrin èkejì láti ọ̀run wá ni.
The first man [is] out of the earth—earthly; the second Man [is] the LORD out of Heaven;
48 Bí ẹni erùpẹ̀ ti rí, irú bẹ́ẹ̀ sì ni àwọn tí í ṣe erùpẹ̀: bí ẹni tí ọ̀run ti rí, irú bẹ́ẹ̀ sì ni àwọn tí í ṣe tí ọ̀run.
as [is] the earthly, such [are] also the earthly; and as [is] the heavenly, such [are] also the heavenly;
49 Bí àwa ti rú àwòrán ẹni erùpẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwa ó sì rú àwòrán ẹni ti ọ̀run.
and according as we bore the image of the earthly, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Ará, ǹjẹ́ èyí ní mo wí pé, ara àti ẹ̀jẹ̀ kò lè jogún ìjọba Ọlọ́run, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ìdíbàjẹ́ kò lé jogún àìdíbàjẹ́.
And this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood are not able to inherit the Kingdom of God, nor does the corruption inherit the incorruption.
51 Kíyèsi í, ohun ìjìnlẹ̀ ni mo sọ fún un yín, gbogbo wá kì yóò sùn, ṣùgbọ́n gbogbo wá ní a ó paláradà.
Behold, I tell you a secret: we indeed will not all sleep, but we will all be changed;
52 Lọ́gán, ni ìṣẹ́jú kan, nígbà ìpè ìkẹyìn: nítorí ìpè yóò dún, a ó sì jí àwọn òkú dìde ní àìdíbàjẹ́, a ó sì pa wá láradà.
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trumpet, for it will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed;
53 Nítorí pé ara ìdíbàjẹ́ yìí kò lè ṣàìgbé ìdíbàjẹ́ wọ̀, àti ara kíkú yìí kò lè ṣàìgbé ara àìkú wọ̀.
for it is necessary for this corruptible to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality;
54 Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ará ìdíbàjẹ́ yìí bá ti gbé àìdíbàjẹ́ wọ̀, ti ara kíkú yìí bá sí ti gbé àìkú wọ̀ bẹ́ẹ̀ tan, nígbà náà ni ọ̀rọ̀ ti a kọ yóò ṣẹ pé, “A gbé ikú mí ní ìṣẹ́gun.”
and when this corruptible may have put on incorruption, and this mortal may have put on immortality, then will be brought to pass the word that has been written: “Death was swallowed up—to victory;
55 “Ikú, oró rẹ dà? Ikú, ìṣẹ́gun rẹ́ dà?” (Hadēs )
Where, O Death, your sting? Where, O Death [[or Hades]], your victory?” (Hadēs )
56 Oró ikú ni ẹ̀ṣẹ̀; àti agbára ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ni òfin.
And the sting of death [is] sin, and the power of sin the Law;
57 Ṣùgbọ́n ọpẹ́ ní fún Ọlọ́run ẹni tí ó fì ìṣẹ́gun fún wá nípa Olúwa wá Jesu Kristi!
and to God—thanks, to Him who is giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ;
58 Nítorí náà ẹ̀yin ará mi olùfẹ́ ẹ máa dúró ṣinṣin, láìyẹsẹ̀, kí ẹ máa pọ̀ si í ní iṣẹ́ Olúwa nígbà gbogbo, ní ìwọ̀n bí ẹ̀yin ti mọ̀ pé iṣẹ́ yin kì í ṣe asán nínú Olúwa.
so that, my beloved brothers, become steadfast, unmovable, abounding in the work of the LORD at all times, knowing that your labor in the LORD is not vain.
