< 1 Chronicles 28 >

1 Dafidi pe gbogbo àwọn oníṣẹ́ ti Israẹli láti péjọ ní Jerusalẹmu. Àwọn ìjòyè lórí àwọn ẹ̀yà, àwọn alákòóso ìpín nínú iṣẹ́ bí ọba, àwọn alákòóso ẹgbẹẹgbẹ̀rún àti àwọn alákòóso ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún àti àwọn oníṣẹ́ tí ó wà ní ìdí bíbojútó gbogbo àwọn ẹrù àti ohun ọ̀sìn tí ó jẹ́ ti ọba àti àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ààfin àwọn oníṣẹ́ ààfin, àwọn ọkùnrin alágbára àti gbogbo àwọn ògbójú jagunjagun lápapọ̀.
Now David summoned all the leaders of Israel to Jerusalem: the leaders of the tribes, the leaders of the divisions in the king’s service, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officials in charge of all the property and cattle of the king and his sons, along with the court officials and mighty men—every mighty man of valor.
2 Ọba Dafidi dìde dúró ní ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀, o sì wí pé, “Fetísílẹ̀ sí mi, ẹ̀yin ará mi àti ẹ̀yin ènìyàn mi. Èmi ní o ni lọ́kàn mi láti kọ́ ilé gẹ́gẹ́ bí ibi ìsinmi fún àpótí ẹ̀rí tí Olúwa fún àpótí ìtìsẹ̀ Ọlọ́run wa, èmi sì gbèrò láti kọ́ ọ.
Then King David rose to his feet and said, “Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the covenant of the LORD and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build it,
3 Ṣùgbọ́n Ọlọ́run sọ fún mi pé, ‘Ìwọ kò gbọdọ̀ kọ́ ilé fún orúkọ mi, nítorí ìwọ jẹ́ jagunjagun, ìwọ sì ti tàjẹ̀ sílẹ̀.’
but God said to me, ‘You are not to build a house for My Name, because you are a man of war who has spilled blood.’
4 “Síbẹ̀ Olúwa, Ọlọ́run Israẹli yàn mí láti gbogbo ìdílé láti jẹ́ ọba lórí Israẹli, títí láé. Ó yan Juda gẹ́gẹ́ bí olórí, àti láti ilé Juda, ó yan ìdílé mi, àti láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn ọmọ baba à mí, ó tẹ́ Ẹ lọ́rùn láti fi mí ṣe ọba lórí gbogbo Israẹli.
Yet the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me out of all my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah He chose my father’s household, and from my father’s sons He was pleased to make me king over all Israel.
5 Nínú gbogbo àwọn ọmọ mi pẹ̀lú Olúwa ti fún mi ní púpọ̀, ó ti yan ọmọ mi Solomoni láti jókòó lórí ìtẹ́ ìjọba ti Olúwa lórí Israẹli.
And of all my sons—for the LORD has given me many sons—He has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
6 Ó wí fún mi pé, Solomoni ọmọ rẹ ni ẹni tí yóò kọ́ ilé mi àti àwọn ààfin mi, nítorí tí èmi ti yàn án láti ṣe ọmọ mi èmi yóò sì jẹ́ baba a rẹ̀.
And He said to me, ‘Solomon your son is the one who will build My house and My courts, for I have chosen him as My son, and I will be his Father.
7 Èmi yóò fi ìdí ìjọba rẹ̀ kalẹ̀ títí láé tí kò bá kọ̀ láti gbé àṣẹ àti òfin mi jáde, gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ti ṣe é ní àsìkò yìí.
I will establish his kingdom forever, if he resolutely carries out My commandments and ordinances, as is being done this day.’
8 “Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, nísinsin yìí, èmi pàṣẹ fún ọ ní ojú gbogbo Israẹli àti ní ti ìpéjọpọ̀ tí Olúwa, àti ní etí ìgbọ́ Ọlọ́run wa. Ṣọ́ra kó o sì tẹ̀lé gbogbo òfin Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ kí ìwọ kí ó le jogún ilẹ̀ dáradára yìí, kí o sì mú un lọ síwájú gẹ́gẹ́ bí ogún rẹ fún àwọn ìran ọmọ rẹ títí láé.
So now in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, keep and seek out all the commandments of the LORD your God, so that you may possess this good land and leave it as an inheritance to your descendants forever.
9 “Àti ìwọ, ọmọ mi Solomoni, rántí Ọlọ́run baba à rẹ, kí o sì sìn ín pẹ̀lú tọkàntọkàn pẹ̀lú ìfọkànsí pẹ̀lú ọkàn tí ó pé, nítorí Olúwa ṣàwárí gbogbo ọkàn ó sì mọ gbogbo èrò. Tí ìwọ bá wá a, ìwọ yóò rí i; ṣùgbọ́n tí ìwọ bá kọ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀, òun yóò kọ̀ ọ́ títí láé.
As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands the intent of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
10 Gbèrò báyìí nítorí tí Olúwa ti yàn ọ́ láti kọ́ ilé Olúwa gẹ́gẹ́ bí ilé tí a yà sí mímọ́ fún Olúwa. Jẹ́ alágbára kí ó sì ṣe iṣẹ́ náà.”
Consider now that the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong and do it.”
11 Nígbà náà ni Dafidi fi àpẹẹrẹ fún Solomoni ọmọ rẹ̀ ti ìloro àti ti ilé Olúwa náà, kíkọ́ ọ rẹ̀, àti ti ibi ìṣúra rẹ̀, àti ti iyàrá òkè rẹ̀, àti ti ìyẹ̀wù rẹ̀ àti ti ibùjókòó àánú.
Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, storehouses, upper rooms, inner rooms, and the room for the mercy seat.

19 “Gbogbo èyí,” ni Dafidi wí pé, “Èmi ní kíkọ sílẹ̀ láti ọwọ́ Olúwa sórí mi, ó sì fún mí ní ìmọ̀ nínú gbogbo iṣẹ́ ètò yìí.”
“All this,” said David, “all the details of this plan, the LORD has made clear to me in writing by His hand upon me.”
20 Dafidi tún sọ fún Solomoni ọmọ rẹ̀ pé, “Jẹ́ alágbára kí o sì gbóyà, kí o sì ṣe iṣẹ́ náà. Má ṣe bẹ̀rù tàbí dààmú, nítorí Olúwa Ọlọ́run, Ọlọ́run mi, wà pẹ̀lú rẹ. Òun kì yóò sì já ọ kule tàbí kọ ọ sílẹ̀ títí gbogbo iṣẹ́ fún ìsìn ní ti ilé Olúwa yóò fi parí.
David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do it. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you before all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.
21 Ìpín àwọn àlùfáà àti àwọn ará Lefi ti ṣetán fún gbogbo iṣẹ́ ilé Olúwa. Gbogbo ọkùnrin tí ó ní ìfẹ́ sí i tí ó sì ní òye oríṣìíríṣìí iṣẹ́. Yóò ràn ọ́ lọ́wọ́ nínú iṣẹ́ náà. Àwọn ìjòyè àti gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn yóò gbọ́rọ̀ sí gbogbo àṣẹ rẹ.”
The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the service of the house of God, and every willing man of every skill will be at your disposal for the work. The officials and all the people are fully at your command.”
