< 1 Chronicles 22 >
1 Nígbà náà Dafidi wí pé, “Ilé Olúwa Ọlọ́run ni ó gbọdọ̀ wà níbí, àti pẹ̀lú pẹpẹ ẹbọ sísun fún Israẹli.”
Then David said, This [is] the house of the LORD God, and this [is] the altar of the burnt-offering for Israel.
2 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Dafidi pàṣẹ láti kó àwọn àjèjì tí ń gbé ní Israẹli jọ, àti wí pé lára wọn ni ó ti yan àwọn agbẹ́-òkúta láti gbé òkúta dáradára láti fi kọ́lé Ọlọ́run.
And David commanded to assemble the strangers that [were] in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.
3 Dafidi sì pèsè ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ iye irin láti fi ṣe ìṣó fún àwọn ìlẹ̀kùn ẹnu-ọ̀nà àti fún idẹ; àti fún òpó idẹ ni àìní ìwọ̀n.
And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight;
4 Ó sì tún pèsè ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ igi Kedari tí ó jẹ́ àìníye, nítorí pé àwọn ará Sidoni àti àwọn ará Tire mú ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ igi kedari wá fún Dafidi.
Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.
5 Dafidi wí pé, “Ọmọ mi Solomoni ọ̀dọ́mọdé ni ó sì jẹ́ aláìní ìrírí, ilé tí a ó kọ́ fún Olúwa gbọdọ̀ jẹ́ títóbi jọjọ, kí ó sì ní òkìkí àti ògo jákèjádò gbogbo àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè. Nítorí náà ni èmi yóò ṣe pèsè sílẹ̀ fún un”. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Dafidi sì ṣe ìpèsè sílẹ̀ lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀ kí ó tó di wí pé ó kú.
And David said, Solomon my son [is] young and tender, and the house [that is] to be built for the LORD [must be] very magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will [therefore] now make preparation for it. So David made abundant preparation before his death.
6 Nígbà náà ó pe Solomoni ọmọ rẹ̀ ó sì sọ fun pé kí ó kọ́ ilé fún un Olúwa, Ọlọ́run Israẹli.
Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for the LORD God of Israel.
7 Dafidi sì wí fún Solomoni pé, “Ọmọ mi, mo sì ní-in ní ọkàn mi láti kọ́ ilé fún orúkọ Olúwa Ọlọ́run mi.
And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house to the name of the LORD my God:
8 Ṣùgbọ́n ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ̀ mí wá wí pé, ‘Ìwọ ti ta ẹ̀jẹ̀ sílẹ̀ ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀, o sì ti ja ọ̀pọ̀ ogun ńlá ńlá, kì í ṣe ìwọ ni yóò kọ́ ilé fún orúkọ mi, nítorí ìwọ ti ta ẹ̀jẹ̀ sílẹ̀ púpọ̀ lórí ilẹ̀ ní ojú mi.
But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build a house to my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
9 Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ yóò ní ọmọ tí yóò sì jẹ́ ọkùnrin onírẹ̀lẹ̀ àti onísinmi, Èmi yóò sì fún un ní ìsinmi láti ọ̀dọ̀ gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀ lórí gbogbo ilẹ̀ yíká. Orúkọ rẹ̀ yóò sì máa jẹ́ Solomoni, Èmi yóò sì fi àlàáfíà àti ìdákẹ́ jẹ́ẹ́ fún Israẹli lásìkò ìjọba rẹ̀.
Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies around: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.
10 Òun ni ẹni náà tí yóò kọ́ ilé fún orúkọ mi. Yóò sì jẹ́ ọmọ mi, èmi yóò sì jẹ́ baba rẹ̀ èmi yóò sì fi ìdí ìtẹ́ ìjọba rẹ̀ múlẹ̀ lórí Israẹli láéláé.’
He shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I [will be] his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
11 “Nísinsin yìí, ọmọ mi, kí Olúwa wà pẹ̀lú rẹ, kí ìwọ kí ó sì ní àṣeyọrí kí o sì kọ́ ilé Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ, àti gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti sọ nípa rẹ.
Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the LORD thy God, as he hath said of thee.
12 Kí Olúwa kí ó fún ọ ni ọgbọ́n àti òye nígbà tí ó bá fi ọ́ ṣe aláṣẹ lórí Israẹli, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí ìwọ kí ó lè pa òfin Olúwa Ọlọ́run mọ́.
Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God.
13 Nígbà náà ìwọ yóò sì ní àṣeyọrí tí ìwọ bá ṣe àkíyèsí láti mú àṣẹ àti ìdájọ́ àti òfin ti Olúwa ti fi fún Mose fun Israẹli ṣe. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ki ìwọ jẹ́ alágbára àti onígboyà. Má ṣè bẹ̀rù tàbí kí àyà má sì ṣe fò ọ́.
Then shalt thou prosper, if thou shalt take heed to fulfill the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.
14 “Èmi ti gba ìpọ́njú ńlá láti ṣe fún ilé Olúwa ọ̀kẹ́ márùn-ún tálẹ́ǹtì wúrà, àti ẹgbẹ̀rún ẹgbẹ̀rún tálẹ́ǹtì fàdákà, ìwọ̀n idẹ àti irin tí ó tóbi àìní ìwọ̀n, àti ìtì igi àti òkúta. Ìwọ sì tún le fi kún wọn.
Now behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD a hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add to them.
15 Ìwọ sì ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àwọn oníṣẹ́ ènìyàn: àwọn gbẹ́nàgbẹ́nà, àti àwọn oníṣọ̀nà òkúta àti àwọn agbẹ́-òkúta, àti gẹ́gẹ́ bí onírúurú ọlọ́gbọ́n ènìyàn ní gbogbo onírúurú iṣẹ́.
Moreover, [there are] workmen with thee in great numbers, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of skillful men for every manner of work.
16 Nínú wúrà, fàdákà àti idẹ àti irin oníṣọ̀nà tí kò ní ìwọ̀n. Nísinsin yìí bẹ̀rẹ̀ iṣẹ́, kí Olúwa wà pẹ̀lú rẹ.”
Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, [there is] no number. Arise [therefore], and be doing, and the LORD be with thee.
17 Nígbà náà Dafidi pa á láṣẹ fún gbogbo àwọn àgbàgbà ní Israẹli láti ran Solomoni ọmọ rẹ̀ lọ́wọ́.
David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, [saying],
18 Ó sì wí pé, “Ṣé kò sí Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ pẹ̀lú rẹ? Òun kò ha ti fi ìsinmi fún ọ lórí gbogbo ilẹ̀? Nítorí ó sì ti fi àwọn tí ń gbé ní ilẹ̀ náà lé mi lọ́wọ́ ó sì ti fi ìṣẹ́gun fún ilẹ̀ náà níwájú Olúwa àti níwájú àwọn ènìyàn.
[Is] not the LORD your God with you? and hath he [not] given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.
19 Nísinsin yìí, ẹ ṣí ọkàn yin páyà àti àyà yín sí àti wá Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín. Bẹ́ẹ̀ sì ni kọ́ ibi mímọ́ fún Olúwa Ọlọ́run. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí ìwọ kí ó le gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí ti májẹ̀mú Olúwa àti ohun èlò mímọ́ tí ó jẹ́ ti Ọlọ́run, sínú ilé Olúwa tí a o kọ́ fún orúkọ Olúwa.”
Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise, therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.
