< 1 Chronicles 13 >
1 Dafidi sì gbèrò pẹ̀lú olúkúlùkù àwọn ìjòyè rẹ̀, àwọn aláṣẹ ẹgbẹẹgbẹ̀rún àti àwọn aláṣẹ ọgọ́rùn-ún
Then David conferred with all his leaders, the commanders of hundreds and of thousands.
2 Dafidi sì wí fún gbogbo àwọn ìjọ Israẹli pé, tí ó bá dára lójú yín àti tí ó bá ṣe jẹ́ àṣẹ Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa, jẹ́ kí a ránṣẹ́ sí ọ̀nà jíjìn àti gbígbòòrò sí àwọn arákùnrin wa tókù ní gbogbo àwọn agbègbè ìlú Israẹli àti pẹ̀lú àwọn àlùfáà àti àwọn ará Lefi àwọn tí ó wà pẹ̀lú wọn nínú ìlú wọn àti pápá oko tútù, láti wá kó ara wọn jọ pọ̀ sọ́dọ̀ wa.
And he said to the whole assembly of Israel, “If it seems good to you, and if this is of the LORD our God, let us send word far and wide to the rest of our brothers in all the land of Israel, and also to the priests and Levites in their cities and pasturelands, so that they may join us.
3 Ẹ jẹ́ kí a gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí Olúwa padà sọ́dọ̀ wa, nítorí wí pé àwa kò ṣe ìwádìí nípa rẹ̀ ní àsìkò ìjọba Saulu.
Then let us bring back the ark of our God, for we did not inquire of Him in the days of Saul.”
4 Gbogbo ìjọ náà sì gbà láti ṣe èyí nítorí ó dàbí wí pé ó tọ lójú gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn.
And because this proposal seemed right to all the people, the whole assembly agreed to it.
5 Nígbà náà ni Dafidi pe gbogbo àwọn ọmọ Israẹli jọ, láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ṣihori ní Ejibiti lọ sí Lebo ní ọ̀nà à bá wọ Hamati, láti gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí Ọlọ́run padà láti Kiriati-Jearimu.
So David assembled all Israel, from the River Shihor in Egypt to Lebo-hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.
6 Dafidi àti gbogbo àwọn ọmọ Israẹli pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ lọ sí Baalahi ti Juda (Kiriati-Jearimu) láti gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí Ọlọ́run Olúwa tí a fi orúkọ rẹ̀ pè, tí ó jókòó láàrín kérúbù gòkè wá.
David and all Israel went up to Baalah of Judah (that is, Kiriath-jearim) to bring up from there the ark of God the LORD, who is enthroned between the cherubim—the ark that is called by the Name.
7 Wọ́n sì gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí Ọlọ́run láti ilé Abinadabu lórí kẹ̀kẹ́ tuntun, Ussa àti Ahio ń ṣọ́ ọ.
So they carried the ark of God from the house of Abinadab on a new cart, with Uzzah and Ahio guiding the cart.
8 Dafidi àti gbogbo àwọn ọmọ Israẹli ni wọ́n ṣe àjọyọ̀ pẹ̀lú gbogbo agbára wọn níwájú Ọlọ́run, pẹ̀lú orin àti pẹ̀lú dùùrù, ohun èlò orin olókùn, tambori, kimbali pẹ̀lú ìpè.
David and all the Israelites were celebrating before God with all their might, with songs and on harps and lyres, with tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.
9 Nígbà tí wọ́n dé sí ilẹ̀ ìpakà Kidoni, Ussa sì na ọwọ́ rẹ̀ síta láti di àpótí ẹ̀rí Olúwa mú, nítorí màlúù kọsẹ̀.
When they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark, because the oxen had stumbled.
10 Ìbínú Olúwa, sì ru sí Ussa, ó sì lù ú bolẹ̀ nítorí o ti fi ọwọ́ rẹ̀ lórí àpótí ẹ̀rí. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó sì kú síbẹ̀ níwájú Ọlọ́run.
And the anger of the LORD burned against Uzzah, and He struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.
11 Nígbà náà Dafidi sì bínú nítorí ìbínú Olúwa ké jáde lórí Ussa, àti títí di òní, wọ́n sì ń pe ibẹ̀ ní Peresi-Usa.
Then David became angry because the LORD had burst forth against Uzzah; so he named that place Perez-uzzah, as it is called to this day.
12 Dafidi sì bẹ̀rù Ọlọ́run ní ọjọ́ náà, ó sì béèrè pé, báwo ni èmi náà ó ṣe gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí Ọlọ́run sí ọ̀dọ̀ mi?
That day David feared God and asked, “How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?”
13 Kò gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí náà wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ ará rẹ̀ ní ìlú ti Dafidi dípò èyí, ó sì gbé e yà sí ilé Obedi-Edomu ará Gitti.
So he did not move the ark with him to the City of David; instead, he took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
14 Àpótí ẹ̀rí Olúwa sì wà lọ́dọ̀ àwọn ará ilé Obedi-Edomu ní ilé rẹ̀ fún oṣù mẹ́ta, Olúwa sì bùkún agbo ilé àti gbogbo ohun tí ó ní.
Thus the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house for three months, and the LORD blessed his household and everything he owned.
