< Romans 7 >
1 A bakhomba, lusi zaba ko ti Mina mieti yadila mutu bu kalembo zingi e? Ndinyoluka kuidi batu bazebi Mina.
Are you ignorant, brothers—for to those knowing law I speak—that the law has lordship over the man as long as he lives?
2 Bila nketo, widi mu tsi minsua mi bakala widi wukangama mu mina kuidi bakala diandi bu dikidi zingi. Vayi enati bakala fuidi buna nketo beni niangukini mu mina mi bakala.
For the married woman to the living husband has been bound by law, and if the husband may die, she has been free from the law of the husband;
3 Diawu bakala bu dilembo zingi, nket beni wela tedolo nkua kitsuza enati kuedidi bakala dinkaka. Vayi enati bakala beni difuidi, buna, kululu mu Mina beni ayi kalendi buela tedolo ko nkua kitsuza enati kuedidi bakala dinkaka.
so then, the husband being alive, she will be called an adulteress if she may become another man’s; and if the husband may die, she is free from the law, so as not to be an adulteress, having become another man’s.
4 Diawu mamveno bakhomba ziama, beno mamveno lumana vondo va ntuala mina mu nitu yi Klisto mu diambu di luvuiwulu kuidi mutu wunkaka, mutu wowo wufuluka mu bafua muingi tubuta mimbutu mu diambu di Nzambi.
So that, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of the Christ, for your becoming another’s, who was raised up out of the dead, that we might bear fruit to God;
5 Bila bu tuba mu nsuni; zinzinunu zi masumu ziozi zitotukila mu Mina zisala mu binama bieto mu diambu di buta mimbutu minnatanga ku lufua.
for when we were in the flesh, the passions of sins, that [are] through the Law, were working in our members, to bear fruit to death;
6 Vayi buabu, tukulu ku tsi luyalu lu Mina, bu tuba bafua mu mina, miomi miba kutusimbidila muingi tusadila Nzambi mu tsadulu yimona mu lusadusu lu Pheve vayi bika mu tsadulu yikhulu lu tsi luyalu lu Mina.
and now we have ceased from the Law, that being dead in which we were held, so that we may serve in newness of spirit, and not in oldness of letter.
7 Buna mbi tutuba e? Mina midi masumu e? Nana. Vayi ndizabila masumu mu diambu di Mina bila nganu ndisia zaba nzinunu ko enati Mina misia tuba ko ti wulendi zinina ko.
What, then, will we say? The Law [is] sin? Let it not be! But I did not know sin except through law, for also the covetousness I had not known if the Law had not said:
8 Vayi masumu bu mabaka diluaku mu nzila lutumunu, buna mabuta mu minu zinzinunu zioso, bila masumu madi mafua enati Mina mikambulu.
“You will not covet”; and sin having received an opportunity, through the command, worked in me all covetousness—for apart from law sin is dead.
9 Vayi minu, mu thama ndizinga mu kambu Mina. Vayi lutumunu bu luyiza buna masumu mazinga
And I was alive apart from law once, and the command having come, sin revived, and I died;
10 ayi minu ndifua. Buna lutumunu lunnatanga ku luzingu, kuidi minu, luba banga luawu lunnata ku lufua.
and the command that [is] for life, this was found by me for death;
11 Bila masumu bu mabaka diluaku maphuna mu nzila yi lutumunu ayi maphonda mu nzila yi lutumunu.
for sin, having received an opportunity, through the command, deceived me, and through it, slew [me],
12 Mina midi minlongo ayi lutumunu luidi lunlongo, lusonga ayilumboti.
so that the Law, indeed, [is] holy, and the command holy, and righteous, and good.
13 Buna buevi diambu diodi di mboti dilenda bela tho yi lufuamu diambu diama e? Nana, buawu ko. Vayi Masumu, muingi mamonika masumu mandatina lufua mu nzila yi diambu di mboti ayi mu nzila yi lutumunu maluta monika bukiedika ti masumu.
That which is good then, has it become death to me? Let it not be! But sin, that it might appear sin, through the good, working death to me, that sin might become exceedingly sinful through the command.
14 Muaki tuzebi ti Mina midi mi kipheve vayi minu ndidi nkuakinsuni, ndisumbusu kuidi masumu.
For we have known that the Law is spiritual, and I am fleshly, sold by sin;
15 Bila ndizabanga ko mambu ndieti vanga, ndivanganga ko mambu momo ndieti zola ayi ndieta vanga mambu momo ndieti lenda.
for that which I work, I do not acknowledge; for not what I will, this I practice, but what I hate, this I do.
16 Enati ndieta vanga momo ndieta lenda buna ndilembo sudika ti Mina midi mimboti.
And if what I do not will, this I do, I consent to the Law that [it is] good,
17 Buabu buna bika sia ti minu ndilembo vangi buawu vayi masumu madi mu minu.
and now it is no longer I that work it, but sin dwelling in me,
18 Bila nzebi ti kuisi ko diambu di mboti mu minu; bu dinsundula ti mu nitu ama. Luzolo luvangila mamboti luidi yama vayi ndisi ko lulendo luvangila mawu.
for I have known that there does not dwell in me, that is, in my flesh, good: for to will is present with me, and I do not find to work that which is right,
19 Bila ndivanganga ko mamboti momo thidi vayi ndieti vanga mambimbi momo ndieti lenda.
for the good that I will, I do not do; but the evil that I do not will, this I practice.
20 Enati ndilembo vangi mambu momo ndieti lenda buna bika sia ti minu ndilembo vangi mawu vayi masumu madi mu minu.
And if what I do not will, this I do, it is no longer I that work it, but sin that is dwelling in me.
21 Buna mbueni Muina wawu mu minu: mu thangu thidi vanga mambu mamboti, mambimbi madi yama.
I find, then, the law, that when I desire to do what is right, the evil is present with me,
22 Bila ku tsi ama ntima, khini ndieti mona mu Mina mi Nzambi.
for I delight in the Law of God according to the inward man,
23 Vayi mina minkaka ndieti mona mu binama biama; mina miomi mieti nuanisa mina mi diela diama ayi mieti ku khitula mvika wu mina mi masumu madi mu binama biama.
and I behold another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin that [is] in my members.
24 Minu ndidi mutu wu mabienga! A nani wela ku khula mu nitu yayi yi lufua e?
A wretched man I [am]! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?
25 Matondo kuidi Nzambi mu Pfumu eto Yesu Klisto. Diawu minu veka, mu diela diama ndidi mvika wu Mina mi Nzambi vayi mu kinsuni ndidi mvika wu mina mi masumu.
I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord; so then, I myself indeed serve the Law of God with the mind, and with the flesh, the law of sin.
