< Psalms 83 >
1 Nkunga Asafi. A Nzambi, kadi ba dio sui! Kadi kanga munu, a Nzambi ayi kadi dingalala!
A song. A psalm of Asaph. God, please do not stay silent! You can't remain unmoved! God, you must not keep quiet!
2 Tala, phila bambeni ziaku zilembo tudila divunzi; bobo beti kulenda balembo vumuna mintu miawu.
Can't you hear the roars of your enemies? Can't you see how those who hate you are defiantly lifting up their heads?
3 Mu diela dimbimbi, balembo yendila batu baku manenga; balembo fiedi batu baku bobo weti belanga mayindu.
They invent cunning plans to conspire against your people; they plot against those you treasure.
4 Batuba: “yizanu, bika tuba bunga banga dikanda, mu diambu di dizina di Iseli dibika buela tebukulungu moyo”.
They say, “Come on! Let's destroy them as a nation so the name ‘Israel’ will be completely forgotten.”
5 Mu mabanza mamosi, bakutakana mu fiela, bavangi nguizani mu diambu di kunuanisa;
They all agree in their conspiracy; they've made a treaty together to attack you—
6 Zinzo zi ngoto zi Edoni ayi zi basi Isimayeli, zi Mowabi ayi zi basi Hangali,
the people of Edom, the Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagirites;
7 Nguebali; Amoni, Amaleki basi Filisitini va kimosi ayi basi Tila;
the people of Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, and the inhabitants of Tyre.
8 ka diambu ko Asili mamvawu bafubakana yawu, mu buela zingolo kuidi nkuna wu Loti.
Assyria too has joined them, allied with the descendants of Lot. (Selah)
9 Wuba vangila banga bu wuvangila Madiani, banga bu wuvangila Sisela, ayi Yabini ku nlangu wu Kisoni;
Do to them what you did to Midian, what you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River.
10 bobo babiva ku Andoli; bobo bakituka banga mbozi va ntoto.
They were destroyed at Endor and became like manure to fertilize the ground.
11 Kituka batu bawu banneni banga Olebi ayi Zeyebi, bana bawu boso ba mintinu banga Zeba ayi Tsalumuna,
Make their leaders like Oreb and Zeeb; all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 Bobo batuba: “bika tuziona mintoto mi Nzambi mindikulungu bibulu!”
for they said, “Let's take the pastures of God for ourselves!”
13 Wuba kitula banga kinzungidila; A Nzambi ama, banga biti va ntuala phemo;
My God, make them like whirling tumbleweeds, chaff blown away by the wind.
14 banga mbazu yinzinisanga nsitu; banga nlaki wu mbazu wunyoka miongo!
Just like fire that burns the forest, a flame that sets fire to the mountains,
15 Buna wuba kukila mu vuka kiaku ki phemo; wuba monisa tsisi mu vuka kiaku ki ngolo.
in the same way chase them down with your storm, terrify them with your whirlwind.
16 Fuka bizizi biawu mu tsoni. Muingi batu batomba dizina diaku, a Yave!
Shame them in defeat so that they come to you, Lord!
17 Bika bafua tsoni ayi bamona tsisi mu zithangu zioso; bika babiva mu kambu nzitusu.
Make them ashamed, terrify them forever so that they die in disgrace.
18 Bika wuba zabikisa ti ngeyo vuidi dizina di Yave; ti ngeyo kaka Nzambi yizangama va ntoto wumvimba.
Let them understand that you alone, called the Lord, are the Most High who rules over all the earth.
