Psalms 82

1 Nkunga Asafi. Nzambi telimini va lukutukunu lunneni. Wulembo vani nzengolo va khatitsika “zinzambi”.

A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

2 Nate thangu mbi luela nuaninanga mutu kambulu wusonga ayi luela monisinanga thalu yi zizi kuidi batu bambimbi e?

How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? (Selah)

3 Nuanina mutu wulebakana ayi muana wusana. Luvanga malulama kuidi nsukami ayi kuidi mutu weti yamusu.

Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

4 Kulanu mutu wulebakana ayi nsukami; bika luba vukisa mu mioko mi batu bambimbi.

Deliver the poor and needy: deliver [them] from the hand of the wicked.

5 Basi zaba kadi diambu ko ayi basudikanga kadi diambu ko; Mu tombi beti diatila; zifundasio zioso zi ntoto zilembo nikuka.

They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

6 Minu ndituba: “luidi zinzambi ayi beno boso luidi bana ba Nzambi yizangama.”

I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the Most High.

7 Vayi luela fua banga batu boso, luela bua banga woso kuandi nyadi.

But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

8 Telama, a Nzambi, sambisa ntoto! Bila makanda moso madi kiuka kiaku.

Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou wilt inherit all nations.
