Psalms 54

1 Nkunga Davidi kuidi pfumu minyimbidi kayimbidila mu mu thangu basi Zifi bayiza kamba Sawuli ti: “Davidi kuidi beto” kasuamini. Wuphukisa, Nzambi ama, mu dizina diaku; wundungisa mu lulendo luaku.

For the Leader; with string-music. Maschil of David: when the Ziphites came and said to Saul: 'Doth not David hide himself with us?' O God, save me by Thy name, and right me by Thy might.

2 Wa lusambulu luama, a Nzambi. Dimba mambu ma munuꞌama.

O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth.

3 Zinzenza zilembo nduanisa ayi batu ba tsita balembo tombi luzingu luama. Batu bankambu kinzikanga Nzambi.

For strangers are risen up against me, and violent men have sought after my soul; they have not set God before them. (Selah)

4 Bukiedika, Nzambi niandi nsadisi ama. Yave niandi wukukhindisanga.

Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is for me as the upholder of my soul.

5 Bika mambimbi mabuila bobo beti kuphueza; Mu kikhuikizi kiaku, wuba bunga.

He will requite the evil unto them that lie in wait for me; destroy Thou them in Thy truth.

6 Ndiela kutambikanga makaba mu ntima wu luzolo; ndiela zitisa dizina diaku, a Yave. Bila didi dimboti.

With a freewill-offering will I sacrifice unto Thee; I will give thanks unto Thy name, O LORD, for it is good.

7 Bila niandi wukhula mu ziphasi ziama zioso ayi meso mama mamona mbedoso yi bobo beti kundenda.

For He hath delivered me out of all trouble; and mine eye hath gazed upon mine enemies.
