< John 21 >
1 Momo bu mavioka, Yesu wubuela monikina diaka minlonguki miandi va ndambu disimu di mbu wu Tibeliadi. Tala phila kamonikina:
After these things Jesus, risen from the dead, revealed Himself to His disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and He did it like this:
2 Simoni Piela, Toma baba ntedilanga kitsimba, Natanayeli muisi Kana mu tsi yi Ngalili, bana ba Zebede ayi minlonguki miodi minkaka baba va kimosi.
Simon Peter, Thomas (called Twin), Nathanael (from Cana of Galilee), Zebedee's sons and two others of His disciples were together.
3 Simoni Piela wuba kamba: —Ndiedi kuama ku loba. Bawu bamvutudila: —Beto mamveto tunkuenda yaku! Bayenda, bakuma mu nlungu. Vayi builu buna basia baka kadi kima ko.
Simon Peter says to them, “I'm going fishing.” They say to him, “We're coming with you.” Off they went and got right into the boat, and that whole night they caught nothing.
4 Buisi bu bukia Yesu wutelama va disimu. Muaki minlonguki misia bakula ko ti niandi Yesu.
Well when daybreak had now come Jesus stood on the beach; however the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.
5 Buna yesu wuba yuvula: A bana, lubeki ndambu zimbizi e? Bamvutudila: —Nana tata, kadi kiasa!
Then Jesus says to them, “Boys, you don't have any food, do you?” They answered Him, “No.”
6 Buna wuba kamba: —Lozanu dikondi ku ndambu lubakala lu nlungu, buna ma lubaka! Baloza dikondi, basia nunga ko mu vumuna dikondi mu diambu di zimbizi ziwokila ngolo.
So He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat and you will find.” So they did, and now they were unable to haul it in because of the multitude of fish!
7 Bosi nlonguki wowo Yesu kaluta zola, wukamba Piela ti: —Niowo Pfumu! Piela bu kawa ti Pfumu, wuvuata kikhutu kiandi, bila pheni kaba; bosi wukiloza mu mbu.
Then that disciple whom Jesus loved says to Peter, “It's the Lord!” Upon hearing that it was the Lord, Simon Peter tied on his outer garment (for he was stripped) and plunged into the sea.
8 Minlonguki minkaka miyiza ku nlungu bila misia thama ayi disimu ko; nduka-nduka khama yimosi yi zimetele; mituta dikondi diba zimbizi.
But the other disciples came in the little boat dragging the net with the fish (for they were not far from the land, but about 100 yards).
9 Bu batula va disimu, bamona mbizi va yilu makala ma mbazu ayi dipha va ndambu.
Then, as they stepped onto the land they saw a charcoal fire in place with fish lying on it, and bread.
10 Yesu wuba kamba: —Tualanu ndambu zimbizi mu ziozi lubeki!
Jesus says to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.”
11 Simoni Piela wukuma mu nlungu, wututa dikondi ku disimu. Khama yimosi ayi makumatanu zimbizi zitatu zinnene ziwesa dikondi. Ka diambu ko zimbizi ziba ziwombo vayi dikondi disia kakuka ko.
Simon Peter got up and dragged the net onto the land, full of one hundred and fifty-three large fish; and although being so many, the net was not torn.
12 Yesu wuba kamba: —Yizanu, ludia. Muaki kadi nlonguki wumosi kasia kunyuvula ko ti: “widi nani e?” Bila mizaba kuawu ti niowo Pfumu.
Jesus says to them, “Come have breakfast!” Well not one of the disciples dared to ask Him, “Who are you?”—knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Niandi veka yesu wufikama wubonga dipha, wuba kabudila, buawu bobo kavanga mu mbizi.
Then Jesus comes and takes the bread and gives it to them, as also the fish.
14 Yiza khumbu yintatu Yesu kamonikini minlonguki miandi tona lumbu kikafuluka mu bafua.
This was already a third time that Jesus appeared to His disciples after He was raised from among the dead.
15 Bu bamanisa dia, Yesu wuyuvula Simoni Piela: —Simoni, muana Zonasi, wunzodidi viokila bumvangila baba e? Piela wumvutudila: —Nyinga Pfumu, zebi kuaku ti ndieta kuzola! Yesu wunkamba: —Buna dikilanga bana bama ba mamemi.
So, when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus says to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?” He says to Him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I'm fond of you.” He says to him, “Feed my lambs.”
16 Mu khumbu yimmuadi, wunyuvula diaka: —Simoni, muana Zonasi, wunzodidi e? Piela wumvutudila: —Nyinga Pfumu, zebi kuaku ti ndieta kuzola. Yesu wunkamba: —Buna sunganga mamemi mama!
He says to him again, a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?” He says to Him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I'm fond of you.” He says to him, “Shepherd my sheep.”
17 Yesu wubuela kunyuvula diaka mu khumbu yintantu: —Simoni, muana Zonasi, wunzodidi e? Piela wumona kiadi bu kabuela kunyuvula kiuvu mu khumbu yintatu ti: “Wunzodidi e?” Buna wumvutudila: —Pfumu, ngeyo zebi mambu moso; ngeyo zebi ti ndieta kuzola. Yesu wunkamba: —Buna sunganga mamemi mama.
The third time He says to him, “Simon, son of Jonah, are you fond of me?” Peter was grieved in that the third time He said to him, “Are you fond of me?” and said to Him: “Lord, you know all things. You know that I'm fond of you!” Jesus says to him: “Feed my sheep.
18 Bukiedika, bukiedika ndikukamba, bu wuba ditoko, wuba nkanganga nsinga mu luketo luaku ngeyo veka ayi wuba nkuendanga koso ku wuzola kuenda. Vayi bu wela nuna, wela nonuna mioko ayi mutu wunkaka wela kukanga nsinga mu luketo ayi wela kunnata ku mengi kuaku kuenda.
Most assuredly I say to you, when you were younger you used to get dressed and walk where you wished; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands and another will dress you and carry you where you do not wish.”
19 Wutuba mambu momo mu monisa phila yi lufua lu kela fuila, lolo kela kembisila Nzambi. Bu katuba bobo, wunkamba: —Wundandakana.
(He said this to indicate the kind of death by which he would glorify God.) And upon saying that He says to him, “Follow me!”
20 Piela bu katala ku manima, wumona nlonguki wowo Yesu kaluta zola, wuba landakana. Niandi wuyekama va thulu yi Yesu ayi wunyuvula mu thangu baba ndia: “Pfumu, nani wela kuvakula e?”
But turning around Peter sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following (that is the one who reclined on His chest at the supper and said, “Lord, who is the one who is betraying you?”).
21 Piela bu kammona, wuyuvula Yesu: —Pfumu, buevi benzi mu diambu diandi e? Mambu mbi mela kumbuila e?
Seeing him, Peter says to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”
22 Yesu wumvutudila: —Enati thidi kazinga nate ndiela vutuka, buna ngeyo matedi e? Vayi ngeyo ndandakana!
Jesus says to him: “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me.”
23 Tsangu yimuangana muidi bakhomba ti nlonguki beni kalendi fua ko. Muaki yesu kasia kamba ko ti kela fua ko vayi wukamba kaka: “Enati thidi kazinga nate ndiela vutuka buna ngeyo matedi e?”
So this saying spread among the brothers, that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him [Peter] that he [John] would not die, but, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?”
24 Nlonguki beni niandi wulembu telimina mambu mama kimbangi ayi niandiwusonika mawu. Tuzebi kueto ti kiambangi kiandi kidi kikiedika.
This is the disciple who is testifying to these things, and who wrote them; and we know that his testimony is true.
25 Muaki mawombo mankaka mavanga yesu. Enati mana kumasonika dimosi-dimosi, nganu buangu kilendi bakama ko va ntoto wumvimba kilendalundulu zibuku zioso zifueti sonoko.
Indeed, there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that not even the whole world could contain the books that would be written! Amen.
