< Hebrews 7 >
1 Bila Meleshisedeki beni, ntinu wu Salemi, Nganga Nzambi yi Nzambi yizangama, wuyenda dengana Abalahami bu kaba ku mvita yika kanuana ayi kabedisila mintinu miwombo. Buna Meleshisedeki beni wunsakumuna.
For this man, Melchizedek, King of Salem and priest of the Most High God--he who when Abraham was returning after defeating the kings met him and pronounced a blessing on him--
2 Ayi Abalahami wuvana kuku ki kumi mu bima bioso biobikabaka kuidi Meleshisedeki. Tsundu Maleshisedeki: Ntinu wu busonga, bosi widi ntinu wu Salemi; bu dinsundula ntinu wu ndembama.
to whom also Abraham presented a tenth part of all--being first, as his name signifies, King of righteousness, and secondly King of Salem, that is, King of peace:
3 Meleshisedeki kasia ba kadi dise ayi kadi ngudi ko ayi kikhulu kiandi kisi zabakana ko. Thonono yi bilumbu biandi ayi tsukusunu yi luzingu luandi bisi zabakana ko vayi luzingu luandi ludedakani ayi lu Muana Nzambi; widi Nganga Nzambi mu zithangu zioso.
with no father or mother, and no record of ancestry: having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made a type of the Son of God--this man Melchizedek remains a priest for ever.
4 Tala boso bu kabela mutu wunneni, mutu wowo Abalahami kavana kuku ki kumi ki bima bi kabaka bu tuzebi ti Abalahami niandi dise di makanda.
Now think how great this priest-king must have been to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth part of the best of the spoil.
5 Ayi mu batu bobo badi mu bana ba Levi bansalanga kinganga babeki minsua mi tambulanga kuku ki kumi boso buididi Mina, kuidi batu bu dinsundula bakhomba, ka diambu ko batotukila mu luketo lu Abalahami.
And those of the descendants of Levi who receive the priesthood are authorized by the Law to take tithes from the people, that is, from their brethren, though these have sprung from Abraham.
6 Vayi Meleshisedeki, kasi mu dikanda di bana ba Levi ko vayi wutambula kuku ki kumi kuidi Abalahami ayi wusakumuna mutu wowo wutambula zitsila zi Nzambi.
But, in this instance, one who does not trace his origin from them takes tithes from Abraham, and pronounces a blessing on him to whom the promises belong.
7 Mu kambu findana ziphaka beto boso tuzebi ti mutu wowo sakumuni niandi lutidi ayi mutu wowo basakumuni.
And beyond all dispute it is always the inferior who is blessed by the superior.
8 Banganga Nzambi bantambulanga kuku ki kumi badi batu bamfuanga vayi Meleshisedeki wutambula kuku ki kumi kiaki, wulembo telomono kimbangi ti widi moyo.
Moreover here frail mortal men receive tithes: there one receives them about whom there is evidence that he is alive.
9 Tulenda tuba ti Levi wuntambulanga kuku ki kumi mamvandi wuvana kuku ki kumi mu nzila yi Abalahami.
And Levi too--if I may so speak--pays tithes through Abraham:
10 Bila buna kabutukidi ko, vayi buna wukidi mu luketo lu nkulu andi mu thangu Meleshisedeki kadengana Abalahami.
for Levi was yet in the loins of his forefather when Melchizedek met Abraham.
11 Enati diluaku didi mu ba wufuana mu nzila yi kinganga ki ba Levi, bila mu kiawu batu bavanunu Mina, buna mfunu mbi widi mu buela bieka diaka nganga Nzambi yinkaka mu ntanda wu Meleshisedeki vayi kasia bieko ko boso buididi Aloni e?
Now if the crowning blessing was attainable by means of the Levitical priesthood--for as resting on this foundation the people received the Law, to which they are still subject-- what further need was there for a Priest of a different kind to be raised up belonging to the order of Melchizedek instead of being said to belong to the order of Aaron?
12 Bila bawu viakisa kinganga buna Mina miviakini.
For when the priesthood changes, a change of Law also of necessity takes place.
13 Bila mutu wowo wutubulu mambu beni widi muisi dikanda dinkaka, mu kambulu mutu wusala va diziku di
He, however, to whom that prophecy refers is associated with a different tribe, not one member of which has anything to do with the altar.
14 bila dizabikini ti Pfumu eto wutotukila mu dikanda di Yuda, dikanda dikambu tubila Moyize mu diambu di kinganga.
For it is undeniable that our Lord sprang from Judah, a tribe of which Moses said nothing in connection with priests.
15 Tala diambu dilutidi zabakana bu tumueni ti: Nganga Nzambi yinkaka yitotukidi yidi mu ntanda wu Meleshisedeki;
And this is still more abundantly clear when we read that it is as belonging to the order of Melchizedek that a priest of a different kind is to arise,
16 kasia bieko Nganga Nzambi ko mu lusadusu lu Mina boso buididi lutumunu lu batu vayi boso buididi lulendo lu luzingu lu kalulendi bungana ko.
and hold His office not in obedience to any temporary Law, but by virtue of an indestructible Life.
17 Bila niandi wutelomono kimbangi kiaki: ngeye widi Nganga Nzambi mu zithangu zioso mu ntanda wu Meleshisedeki! (aiōn )
For the words are in evidence, "Thou art a priest for ever, belonging to the order of Melchizedek." (aiōn )
18 Buna Mina mituama mibotolo mu diambu di misiala lulendo ko ayi misiala ko mfunu.
On the one hand we have here the abrogation of an earlier code because it was weak and ineffective--
19 Bila Mina misia fuanisa kadi diambu dimosi ko. Vayi diana dimboti dikotoso; mu diawu tulenda fikiminina Nzambi.
for the Law brought no perfect blessing--but on the other hand we have the bringing in of a new and better hope by means of which we draw near to God.
20 Mamo momo mavangimina mu ndefi yi leva Nzambi. Bila bana bayika zinganga zinzambi mu kambu leva ndefi.
And since it was not without an oath being taken--
21 Vayi Yesu wuyika nganga Nzambi boso bu bela ndefi yi leva Nzambi bu kankamba ti: Pfumu wuleva ndefi ayi kalendi viakisa mayindu mandi ko; ngeyo widi Nganga Nzambi mu zithangu zioso. (aiōn )
for these men hold office without any oath having been taken, but He holds it attested by an oath from Him who said to Him, "The Lord has sworn and will not recall His words, Thou art a Priest for ever" -- (aiōn )
22 Buna Yesu wuyika mvangi wu zitsila mu nguizani yoyi yilutidi kitoko.
so much the more also is the Covenant of which Jesus has become the guarantor, a better covenant.
23 Banganga Nzambi baba ziwombo mu kisalu ki kinganga mu diambu lufua luba kuba bikilanga ko thangu mu sala kisalu kiawu mu zithangu zioso bila baba fuanga wumosi-wumosi.
And they have been appointed priests many in number, because death prevents their continuance in office:
24 Vayi Yesu widi moyo mu zithangu zioso ayi diawu kadidi ayi kinganga kioki kilendi yekodolo mutu ko. (aiōn )
but He, because He continues for ever, has a priesthood which does not pass to any successor. (aiōn )
25 Diawu kalenda vukisila batu boso bobo bamfikama Nzambi mu niandi sumbu kadi moyo mu zithangu zioso mu diambu di kuba lombila.
Hence too He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, seeing that He ever lives to plead for them.
26 Bukiedika ti pfumu yi zinganga Nzambi yi phila yoyi yifueni kuidi beto; niandi widi wunlongo, kasi zaba kadi diambu dimosi ko, kadi disumu kasi ko ayi widi wumvambana ayi bankua masumu; niandi wutombolo ku yilu viokila diyilu.
Moreover we needed just such a High Priest as this--holy, guileless, undefiled, far removed from sinful men and exalted above the heavens;
27 Bapfumu zi zinganga Nzambi bankaka zifueti tambikanga kadika lumbu makaba mu diambu di masumu mawu veka bosi mu diambu di masumu ma batu boso. Vayi kuidi niandi kasi mfunu mu vanganga buawu ko bila niandi wutumbu manisa mamo mu khumbu yimosi bu kakivana niandi veka.
who, unlike other High Priests, is not under the necessity of offering up sacrifices day after day, first for His own sins, and afterwards for those of the people; for this latter thing He did once for all when He offered up Himself.
28 Mina mibieka batu balebakana mu ba bapfumu banganga Nzambi. Vayi mambu ma ndefi matotuka ku manima ma Mina, mabieka muana widi wufuana mu zithangu zioso. (aiōn )
For the Law constitutes men High Priests--men with all their infirmity--but the utterance of the oath, which came later than the Law, constitutes High Priest a Son who has been made for ever perfect. (aiōn )
