< Acts 7 >

1 Bosi pfumu yi zinganga Nzambi wunyuvula: —Mambu mama bafundidi madi makiedika e?
Then said the high priest, Are these things so?
2 Buna Etieni wuvutula: —Batata ayi bakhomba ziama, bika luwa mambu ndieka ntuba: Nzambi yi nkemboyimonikina Dise dieto Abalahami bu kaba ku Mesopotami, tuamina kavuanda ku Alani,
And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,
3 ayi wunkamba: Bika tsi aku ayi bibutu biaku vayi yenda ku tsi yoyi ndiela ku monisa.
And said to him, Depart from thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall show thee.
4 Buna wubika tsi yi Kalide ayi wuyenda vuanda ku Alani. Dise diandi bu kafua, Nzambi wuntumisa mu tsi yayi lulembo zingila buabu.
Then he came from the land of the Chaldeans, and dwelt in Charran. And from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land in which ye now dwell.
5 Vayi Nzambi kasia kumvana kadi kiuka ko mu tsi yayi, ka diambu ko tini kintoto kioki kalenda tula lutambi luandi. Muaki Nzambi wunvana tsila yi kunvana tsi beni va kimosi ayi nkunꞌandi. Vayi mu thangu yina buna kabutidi kadi muana ko.
And he gave him no inheritance in it, no not [so much as] to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his offspring after him, when [as yet] he had no child.
6 Buna Nzambi wunkamba: nkunꞌaku wela zingila mu tsi yi kinzenza; bela kuwuyadila ayi bela kuwuyamisa
And God spoke on this wise, That his offspring should sojourn in a foreign land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and treat [them] ill four hundred years.
7 Vayi Nzambi wubuela kamba diaka: ndiela sambisa tsi yoyi yela kuba yadila Bosi bela totuka mu tsi beni ayi bela kuiza ku tsambidila va buangu kiaki.
And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that they shall come forth, and serve me in this place.
8 Nzambi wuvanga nguizani andi ayi Abalahami: nguizani yi nzengolo yi nitu yi kibakala. Abalahami wubuta Isaki, wunzenga mu lumbu ki nana. Isaki wubuta Yakobi bosi Yakobi wubuta kumi bakulu buadi.
And he gave him the covenant of circumcision. And so [Abraham] begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac [begat] Jacob, and Jacob [begat] the twelve patriarchs.
9 Bakulu basumbisa Zozefi ku Ezipite mu diambu di kikhenene. Vayi Nzambi wuba yandi.
And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,
10 Diawu kankudila mu ziphasi ziandi zioso ayi mu nlemvo wu Nzambi, Zozefi wumonika mutu wu diela va ntuala Falawo, ntinu wu Ezipite. Diawu kanbiekila nyadi mu Ezipite dioso ayi mu nzo andi yoso.
And delivered him from all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt, and all his house.
11 Vayi kutotuka kanda kingolo mu Ezipite dioso ayi mu Kana. Ziphasi zingolo ziba mu thangu beni. Bakulu beto basia baka bidia ko.
Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction; and our fathers found no sustenance.
12 Yakobi bu kawa ti ble yiba ku Ezipite, buna kuna kafidisa bakulu beto mu khubu yitheti.
But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.
13 Mu khumbu yimmuadi yayi kaba fidisa, Zozefi wukimonikisa kuidi bakhomba bandi ayi Falawo wuyiza zaba dikanda de Zozefi.
And at the second [time] Joseph was made known to his brethren: and Joseph's kindred was made known to Pharaoh.
14 Buna Zozefi wutumisa dise diandi Yakobi ayi bibutu biandi bioso. Thalu yi batu boso yiba lusambudi lu batu ayi batu batanu.
Then Joseph sent, and called his father Jacob to [him], and all his kindred, seventy five souls.
15 Yakobi wuyenda ku Ezipite, kuawu kafuila va kimosi ayi bakulu beto.
So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,
16 Banatu ku Sikemi, baziku mu biziami bisumba Abalahami kuidi bana ba Amoli, bobo baba nkalanga mu Sikemi.
And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulcher that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor [the father] of Sychem.
17 Sumbu thangu yifueti dedikinina tsila Nzambi kavana Abalahami bu yifikama, buna batu babuelama ayi baluta buelama mu Ezipite
But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
18 nate ntinu wunkaka wukambu zaba Zozefi wutotuka mu Ezipite. Zozefi.
Till another king arose, who knew not Joseph.
19 Ntinu beni wusadila luvunu va ntuala dikanda dieto, wumonisa bakulu beto ziphasi nate mu kuba kuika baloza bana bawu batsombi mu diambu bana beni babika zinga.
The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and ill-treated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.
20 Yawu thangu yibutukila Moyize, wuba muana wu kitoko va ntuala Nzambi. Zingondi zitatu bambuta bandi bansuekila mu nzo.
In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished in his father's house three months:
21 Vayi bambuta bandi bu banloza, buna muana wunketo wu Falawo wuntota ayi wunyundula, wunkitula muanꞌandi.
And when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.
22 Diawu Moyize wulongila mu ndongokolo yoso yi basi Ezipite, wuyiza ba mutu wunneni mu thubulu andi ayi mu mavanga mandi.
And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
23 Moyize bu kadukisa makumaya ma mimvu, wubaka lukanu lu kuenda tadi bakhomba bandi; bana ba Iseli.
And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.
24 Bu kamona wumosi mu bawu, wumonoso phasi, buna wunkotila ayi wuvonda muisi Ezipite mutu wumonisa muana Iseli phasi.
And seeing one [of them] suffer wrong, he defended [him], and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:
25 Wubanza ti bakhomba bandi zilznda sudika ti mu nzilꞌandi Nzambi wela kuba kula vayi basia sudika ko.
For he supposed his brethren to understand that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.
26 Mu lumbu kilanda, wukimonisa kisa bana ba Iseli thangu baba nuana. Wuzola vutula ndembama va bawu bu kaba kamba: —A kiti beno luidi bakhomba! A bila mbi lulembo kimonisina phasi beno na beno e?
And the next day he showed himself to them as they were contending, and would have constrained them to be at peace again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren: why do ye wrong one to another?
27 Vayi mutu wowo wumonisa ndiandi phasi wutemina Moyize ayi wunkamba: —A nani wubiekidi pfumu ayi zuzi dieto e?
But he that did his neighbor wrong, thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?
28 Fuana ngeyo minu tidi vonda banga bobo wuvondidi muisi Ezipite kibeni yono e?
Wilt thou kill me, as thou didst the Egyptian yesterday?
29 Moyize bu kawa bobo, wutina ayi wukituka nzenza mu tsi yi Madiani, kuawu kabutila bana buadi bababakala.
Then Moses fled at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.
30 Makumaya ma mimvu bu mavioka, buna mbasi yimmonikina mu dikanga di mongo wu Sinayi. Wummonikina mu nlaki wu mbazu mu finti.
And when forty years had expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina, an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.
31 Moyize bu kamona bobo, wusimina mu diambu di tsongolo. Bu kafikama mu kuenda tadi, buna mbembo yi Pfumu yiwakana:
When Moses saw [it], he wondered at the sight; and as he drew near to behold [it], the voice of the Lord came to him,
32 Minu ndidi Nzambi yi bakulu baku; Nzambi yi Abalahami, yi Izaki ayi yi Yakobi. Moyize weka tita ayi kasia nunga buela tala ko.
[Saying], I [am] the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.
33 Buna Pfumu wunkamba: Vula zisapatu zidi mu malu maku, bila buangu kioki telimini kidi ntoto wunlongo.
Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.
34 Ndimueni ziphasi zi batu bama badi ku Ezipite. Ndiwilu bidilu biawu. Diawu ndizidi mu kuba kula. Yiza buabu bila ngeyo ndieka tuma ku Ezipite.
I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.
35 Moyize beni diodi bamanga bu batuba: Nani wubiekidi pfumu ayi zuzi e? Buabu Nzambi wuntuma mu ba pfumu ayi nkudi mu lusadusu lu mbasi yoyi yimmonikina mu finti.
This Moses, whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send [to be] a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.
36 Niandi wuba totula bu kavanga mambu manneni ayi bikumu mu tsi yi Ezipite, mu mbu wu mbuaki ayi mu dikanga mu tezo ki makumaya ma mimvu.
He brought them out, after he had showed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
37 Moyize beni niandi wukamba bana ba Iseli: Nzambi wela kulutotudila mbikudi wela ba banga minu va khatitsika bakhomba zieno.
This is that Moses, who said to the children of Israel, A prophet will the Lord your God raise up to you of your brethren, like me; him will ye hear.
38 Niandi wuba mu lukutukunu ku dikanga va kimosi ayi mbasi yoyi yinyolukila ku mongo Sinayi va kimosi ayi bakulu beto. Niandi wutambula mambu ma moyo muingi katutudisila mawu.
This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him on the mount Sina, and [with] our fathers: who received the living oracles to give to us:
39 Vayi bakulu beto bamanga kuntumukina; banloza ayi mintima miawu mibaluka ku Ezipite.
Whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust [him] from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,
40 Bawu bakamba Aloni: —Wutuvangila zinzambi zilenda ku tutuaminina ku ntuala bila tukadi zaba mambu mbi mabuilulu Moyize diodi ditutotula mu tsi yi Ezipite.
Saying to Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for [as for] this Moses, who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.
41 Diawu mu bilumbu bina, bavanga tumba kimuana ngombi ayi batambika makaba kuidi tumba beni. Bamona khini mu diambu di bima bivanga mioko miawu.
And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
42 Vayi Nzambi wuba tamba manima, wuba yekula mu sadila zimbuetete banga busonimina mu nkanda wu mimbikudi: A basi Iseli, minu lutambikila bibulu ayi makaba mu makumaya ma mimvu mu dikanga e?
Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices [during] forty years in the wilderness?
43 Beno lunata nzo ngoto yi Moloki ayi mbuetete yi nzambi Lefani, zimfikula ziozi luvanga muingi lubi; sambidila diawu ndiela kulunata mu buvika vioka Babiloni!
Yes, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your God Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
44 Bakulu beto baba ayi Nzo ngoto yi kimbangi mu dikanga, yivangama banga bu tumina Nzambi, Nzambi mutu wukamba Moyize ti kavanga yawu boso buididi mfikula yoyi kamona.
Our fathers had the tabernacle of testimony in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking to Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
45 Bakulu beto bu batambula yawu; bayikotisa mu thangu zozue mu zitsi zi Bapakanu, babo Nzambi kakuka ku ntuala bakulu beto nate mu thangu Davidi,
Which also our fathers, that came after, brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, to the days of David;
46 mutu wowo wumonokono nlemvo kuidi Nzambi ayi wuzola tungila Nzambi Yakobi nzo.
Who found favor before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
47 Vayi Salomo wuyiza kuntungila nzo.
But Solomon built him a house.
48 Muaki, Nzambi yizangama kakalanga ko mu zinzo zitungulu mu mioko mi batu, banga bu tubila mbikudi:
Yet, the Most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands, as saith the prophet,
49 Pfumu wutuba: Diyilu diawu kundu kiama, ntoto kiawu buangu ndieti tetika malu mama. Buna phila nzo mbi luela kuthungila e? Voti phila buangu mbi kiela ba vundulu kiama e?
Heaven [is] my throne, and earth [is] my footstool: What house will ye build for me? saith the Lord: or what [is] the place of my rest?
50 Mioko miama misia vanga ko bima bioso biobi e?
Hath not my hand made all these things?
51 A beno bankua matingu! Beno luidi mintima mikangama ayi matu mafua! Beno mamveno lukidi tingunanga kueno Pheve Yinlongo mu zithangu zioso banga bakulu beno.
Ye stiff-necked, and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Spirit: as your fathers [did], so [do] ye.
52 Mbikudi mbi wowo bakulu beno bakambu yamisa e? Bavonda mimbikudi miomi mitubila ndizulu yi “Mutu wusonga”, mutu wowo beno lusumbisidi ayi lumvodisidi;
Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them who showed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers;
53 beno lutambula Mina mu nzila yi zimbasi ayi lusia keba mina beni ko.
Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept [it].
54 Bu bawa mambu momo, bafuema ayi bakueta meno mu diambu diandi.
When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with [their] teeth.
55 Vayi niandi wuba wuwala mu Pheve Yinlongo, wutala ku Diyilu, wumona nkembo wu Nzambi ayi wumona Yesu buna katelimini va koko ku lubakala lu Nzambi.
But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56 Buna wuba kamba: —Talanu, ndilembo moni Diyilu dizibukidi ayi Muana Mutu telimini va koko ku lubakala lu Nzambi.
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
57 Bayamikina mu mbembo yingolo, bazibika matu mawu. Mu kithuadi baboso batumbu kumfuakana,
Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,
58 bankoka ku fula di divula ayi banzuba matadi. Bambangi batula minledi miawu va malu ma ditoko dimosi dizina diandi Sawuli.
And cast [him] out of the city, and stoned [him]: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.
59 Bazuba Etieni matadi vayi niandi wusambila ayi wutuba: —A Pfumu Yesu, tambula Pheve ama.
And they stoned Stephen, calling upon [God], and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
60 Bosi wufukama ayi wuyamikina mu mbembo yingolo: —A Pfumu, kadi kuba tangila disumu diadi! Bu kamana tuba bobo, wufua.
And he kneeled down and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
