< 1 Timothy 5 >

1 Kadi temina nunu mu kingolo vayi wunlubula banga dise diaku. Lubula bamatoko banga bakhomba zi babakala;
Never administer a sharp reprimand to a man older than yourself; but entreat him as if he were your father, and the younger men as brothers;
2 baketo bayunduka banga zingudi; bandumba banga bakhomba zi baketo, mu buvedila boso.
the elder women too as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, with perfect modesty.
3 Kinzikanga mafuola, momo madi mafuola mu bukiedika.
Honour widows who are really in need.
4 Vayi enati difuola dibeki bana voti batekolo, buna bika balonguka theti mu tuama vanga mavanga mawu ma kinzambi kuidi basi nzo awu. Buna buawu bobo bela vutudila mambote kuidi bambuta ziawu ayizikhaya ziawu bila diambu diodi dimmonisanga Nzambi khini.
But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let these learn first to show piety towards their own homes and to prove their gratitude to their parents; for this is well pleasing in the sight of God.
5 Difuola diodi didi difuola di kiedika ayi widi niandi veka, wuntulanga diana diandi mu Nzambi builu ayi muini. Wuntatamananga mu zindombolo ayi mu lusambulu.
A widow who is really in need, friendless and desolate, has her hopes fixed on God, and continues at her supplications and prayers, night and day;
6 Vayi difuola dinzingilanga mu makhini didi difua, ka diambu ko dilembo zingi.
but a pleasure-loving widow is dead even while still alive.
7 Kindisa mambu mama muingi bakambu tsembolo.
Press these facts upon them, so that they may live lives free from reproach.
8 Vayi enati mutu kasadisanga ko basi dikanda diandi, viokila basi nzo andi buna niandi wuluzodi minu ayi mutu wowo viatukidi mutu wukambuwilukila mu mambu mambimbi.
But if a man makes no provision for those dependent on him, and especially for his own family, he has disowned the faith and is behaving worse than an unbeliever.
9 Kadi difuola dilendi sonoko ko mu nkanda wu mafuola enati kadukisi ko makumasambanu ma mimvu ayi enati kasia kuelo ko kuidi bakala dimosi.
No widow is to be put on the roll who is under sixty years of age.
10 Kafueti telumunu kimbangi mu diambu di mavanga mandi mambote, enati wuyundula bumboti bana bandi, enati wuyakula bumboti banzenza, enati wusukula malu ma banlongo, enati wusadisa batu baba mu ziphasi voti wuvanga mavanga mambote ma phila mu phila.
She must have been true to her one husband, and well reported of for good deeds, as having brought up children, received strangers hospitably, washed the feet of God's people, given relief to the distressed, and devoted herself to good works of every kind.
11 Vayi kadi kikinina sonika mafuola makidi bana balezi; bila zitsatu ziawu zilenda ku bavambisa mu kisalu ki Klisto ayi belabuela tomba kuela.
But the younger widows you must not enrol; for as soon as they begin to chafe against the yoke of Christ, they want to marry,
12 Buna bela tambula thumbudulu bila baloza minu kiawu kithete.
and they incur disapproval for having broken their original vow.
13 Baketo beni beti longuka bumolo bu beti viokisa thangu mu kuenda diengilanga mu zinzo zingana; bika zia ti bumolo kaka vayibeti kotanga mu mambu mangana, bu beti tuba mambu makambulu fuana.
And at the same time they also learn to be idle as they go round from house to house; and they are not only idle, but are gossips also and busybodies, speaking of things that ought not to be spoken of.
14 Diawu thidi ti mafuola makidi bana balezi makuela kuawu; mabuta bana, makeba zinzo ziawu mu diambu di bika vana diluaku kuidi bambeni mu diambu di vueza.
I would therefore have the younger women marry, bear children, rule in domestic matters, and furnish the Adversary with no excuse for slander.
15 Bila bawombo bankaka bavengama mu diambu di landakana Satana.
For already some of them have gone astray, following Satan.
16 Enati nkhuikizi wu bakala voti wu nketo beki mafuola mu nzo andi, buna bika kama sadisanga ayi mabika singimina mu dibundu muingi dibundu dibaka bu sadisila momo madi khatika mafuola.
If a believing woman has widows dependent on her, she should relieve their wants, and save the Church from being burdened--so that the Church may relieve the widows who are really in need.
17 Bika bakulutu bobo bandiatisanga bumboti dibundu batambula mfutu mu zikhumbu zizole, viokila bobo bakiyekula mu samuna mambu ma Nzambi ayi mu longa.
Let the Elders who perform their duties wisely and well be held worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in preaching and teaching.
18 Bila masonuku meta tuba ti: Kadi kanga munu wu ngombi bu kandiata zitheti zi ble ayi kisadi kifueni mu tambula mfutu andi.
For the Scripture says, "You are not to muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain;" and the workman deserves his pay.
19 Enati biza kufundila nkulutu wu Dibundu, lenda kikinina mambu beni enati mfundi neti bambangi buadi voti zitatu.
Never entertain an accusation against an Elder except on the evidence of two of three witnesses.
20 Mu diambu di batu bobo bamvolanga masumu, wuba temina va meso mabatu boso muingi bankaka bamona boma.
Those who persist in sin reprove in the presence of all, so that it may also be a warning to the rest.
21 Minu ndikutumina va meso ma Nzambi ayi ma Klisto Yesu ayi mazimbasi zisobolo, mu keba mambu momo mu kambu thalu zizi ayi mu kambu tulaluviakunu kuidi batu.
I solemnly call upon you, in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels, to carry out these instructions of mine without prejudice, and to do nothing from partiality.
22 Kadi kuenda thinu mu tetika mutu mioko, kadi fubakana mu masumu ma batu bankaka. Wukikeba ngeyo veka wuvedila.
Do not ordain any one hastily; and do not be a partaker in the sins of others; keep yourself pure.
23 Bika buela nuanga wo nlangu yi nlangu kaka vayi nuanga ndambu yi vinu mu diambu di dikutu diaku, ayi mu diambu di kambu kuaku ku buvini ku zithangu ka thangu.
(No longer be a water-drinker; but take a little wine for the sake of your digestion and your frequent ailments.)
24 Masumu ma batu bankaka meta monika tuamina basambusu vayi bankakamamonikanga ku nzimunina.
The sins of some men are evident to the world, leading the way to your estimate of their characters, but the sins of others lag behind.
25 Bobuawu, mavanga mamboti meti monikanga mu nsualu vayi momo mambimbi malendi baka bu suamina ko.
So also the right actions of some are evident to the world, and those that are not cannot remain for ever out of sight.
