1 Thessalonians 1

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Beto tueti vutudila Nzambi matondo mu diambu dieno mu zithangu ziosobu tukulutebukilanga moyo mu zitsambulu zieto,

We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,

3 bu tukulutebukilanga moyo mu zithangu zioso va meso ma Nzambi, dise dieto, mu diambu di mavanga malembo monika mu minu kieno, kisalu ki luzolo lueno, mvibudulu yintotukila mu diana dieno di ngolo mu Pfumu eto Yesu Klisto.

remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.

4 Bila beno bakhomba zi luzolo, tuzebi ti Nzambi wulusobula.

We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,

5 Bila Nsamu eto wumboti wusia kuiza kuidi beno ko mu thubulu ko, vayi mu lulendo, mu pheve yinlongo ayi mu diana dingolo. Ayi luzebi bumbote phila tuzingila va khatitsikꞌeno mu diambu di luzolo mu beno.

and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

6 Beno lukituka minsokudidi mieto ayi mi Pfumu bu lutambula mambu mu ziphasi ziwombo va kimosi ayi khini yi Pheve Yinlongo.

You became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

7 Buawu bobo luyikidi ntungulu kuidi batu boso bobobawilukidi badi ku Maseduani ayi ku Akayi.

so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.

8 Bila, mambu ma Pfumu mamuanginina kuidi beno; bika sia ti mu Maseduani ayi mu Akayi kaka vayi mu bibuangu bioso minu kieno mu Nzambikimuangana ayi tusiedi ko mfunu mu buela yolukila kiawu.

For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we need not to say anything.

9 Bila bawu veka balembo tubi phila lutuyakudila ayi phila lubalukila kuidi Nzambi bu lumanga buela sadila bitumba mu diambu lusadila Nzambi yi moyo ayi yi kiedika,

For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,

10 ayi mu diambu di vingila Muanꞌandi wela ba ku Diyilu wowo kafulukisa mu bafua Yesu niandi muanꞌandi, wukututaninanga mu zinganzi ziela kuiza.

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead: Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
