< 1 Corinthians 1 >

1 Polo, mu luzolo lu Nzambi, wutelo muba mvuala wu Yesu Klisto ayi khomba Sositeni
Paul, a called apostle of Jesus Christ, through God’s will, —and Sosthenes the brother, —
2 bafidisidi mboti kuidi Dibundu di Nzambi didi ku Kolinto, kuidi bawu bobo babieko nlongo mu kithuadi mu Yesu Klisto ayi bawu batelo muba banlongo ayi kuidi bobo badi mu kioso-kioso buangu bansambilanga Pfumu eto Yesu Klisto, Pfumu awu ayi Pfumu eto beto mamveto.
Unto the assembly of God which is in Corinth, sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, —with all who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, in every place, —their Lord and ours:
3 Bika nlemvo ayi ndembama bibedi kuidi Nzambi, Dise dieto, ayi kuidi Pfumu eto Yesu Klisto bibanga yeno.
Favour unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Minu ndimvutulanga matondo mu zithangu zioso kuidi Nzambi ama mu diambu dieno, mu diambu di nlemvo andi wowo kaluvana mu Klisto Yesu.
I give thanks unto my God, at all times, concerning you, by reason of the favour of God given unto you in Christ Jesus, —
5 Bila mu niandi beno lufulusu mu kimvuama mu mambu moso, mu thubulu ayi mu diela
That, in everything, ye have been enriched in him—in all discourse and in all knowledge;
6 boso bu monikina kimbangi ki Klisto mu beno.
Even as, the witness of the Christ, hath been confirmed in you,
7 Diawu, buabu kadi dikaba dimosi di nlemvo wu Nzambi dikambulu mu beno bu lulembo vingila thangu Pfumu eto Yesu Klisto kela monika.
So that ye come short in no gift of favour, —ardently awaiting the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8 Niandi veka wela kulukindisa nate kuna tsukulu, mu diambu di lukambu tsembolo mu lumbu ki Pfumu eto Yesu Klisto.
Who will also confirm you unto the end, unaccusable in the day of our Lord Jesus [Christ]:
9 Nzambi, yoyi yilutela mu kithuadi mu Muanꞌandi Yesu Klisto, Pfumu eto, widi wukuikama.
Faithful, is God, through whom ye have been called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 Bakhomba baama, minu ndikululeba, mu dizina di Pfumu eto Yesu Klisto, luzingilanga mu nguizani yimboti mu beno na beno ayi zikhabunu zibika ba mu beno. Vayi luba mu kithuadi mu mabanza mamosi ayi mu mayindu mamosi.
But I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, —that, the same thing, ye, all, be saying, and that there be not, among you, divisions; but that ye be fitly joined together—in the same mind, and in the same judgment.
11 Bila, bakhomba ziama, bakhembi kuidi batu bamvuandanga ku nzo Klowe ti ziphaka ziwombo zidi mu beno.
For it hath been signified unto me, concerning you, my brethren, —by them who are of [the household of] Chloe, —that there are strifes among you,
12 Vayi tala mambu thidi tuba: kadika mutu mu beno weti tuba: “Minu mu dikabu di Polo ndidi”; voti “Minu mu dikabu di Apolo ndidi”; voti diaka: “Minu mu dikabu di Piela ndidi”; voti diaka “Minu mu dikabu di Klisto ndidi.”
Now I mean this, —that, each one of you, is saying—I, indeed, am of Paul, but, I, of Apollos, but, I, of Cephas, but, I, of Christ:
13 Klisto wuvasuka kadi e? A buevi, Polo niandi wubandu va dikulusi mu diambu dieno? Voti mu dizina di Polo lubotimina e?
The Christ is divided! Was, Paul, crucified for you? Or, into the name of Paul, were ye immersed?
14 Minu ndimvutula matondo bu ndikambu botika kadi mutu wumosi mu beno, botula kaka Kilisipusi ayi Ngayusi;
I give thanks, that, none of you, did I immerse—save Crispus and Gaius,
15 muingi mutu kabika tuba ti mu dizina diama kabotimina.
Lest any should say—into my own name, I immersed:
16 Ndiedi kazimbakana, ndibuela botika nzo yi Sitefanasi. Botula kaka bobo, ndikadi buela zaba kani ndibotika diaka mutu wunkaka.
Yea! I immersed the house of Stephanas also, —besides, I know not whether, anyone else, I immersed.
17 Bila Klisto kasia kumfidisa mu diambu di botika ko vayi mu diambu di longa Nsamu Wumboti, bika sia ti mu diela di kimutu muingi dikulusi di Klisto dibika ba dikambu lulendo.
For Christ sent me not, to be immersing, but to be telling the good news, —not with wisdom of discourse, lest, void should be made, the cross of the Christ.
18 Malongi ma lufua lu Klisto vo dikulusi madi mambu ma buvungisi kuidi bawu bazimbala; vayi kuidi beto tuvuka, madi mambu ma lulendo lu Nzambi.
For, the discourse which concerneth the cross, unto them, indeed, who are perishing, is, foolishness; but, unto them who are being saved—unto us, it is, God’s power.
19 Bila disonama ti: Minu ndiela bivisa nduenga yi batu banduenga ayi ndiela sukisa diela di batu badiela.
For it is written—I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and, the discernment of the discerning, will I set aside.
20 Buna kuevi kuidi mutu widi nduenga? Nsoniki kuevi kadi? Mfindisi wu ziphaka mu thangu yayi kuevi kadi? Nzambi kasi kitula nduenga yi ntoto wawu buvungisi ko? (aiōn g165)
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (aiōn g165)
21 Bila ntoto wawu wusia nunga ko mu zaba Nzambi mu nzila yi nduenga yi ntoto. Diawu, dizolakana kuidi Nzambi mu vukisa batu bobo banwilukilanga mu nzila yi buvungisi bu ndongolo yi Nsamu Wumboti.
For, seeing that, in the wisdom of God, the world, through its wisdom, did not get to knew God, God was well-pleased—through the foolishness of the thing proclaimed, to save them that believe.
22 Bayuda bawu bikumu bantomba vayi Bangeleki bawu nduenga bantomba,
Seeing that both, Jews for signs, do ask, and, Greeks for wisdom, do seek,
23 vayi beto Klisto wubandu va dikulusi tueti longa. Bayuda balembo moni diawu diambu di mfiti vayi didi diambu di buvungisi kuidi Bangeleki.
Whereas, we, proclaim a Christ who hath been crucified, —unto Jews, indeed, an occasion of stumbling, and, unto Gentiles, foolishness;
24 Vayi mu diambu di bobo Nzambi katelo, buba Bayuda voti Bandeleki, Klisto niandi lulendo lu Nzambi ayi nduenga yi Nzambi.
But, unto the called themselves—both Jews and Greeks, Christ, God’s power, and, God’s wisdom.
25 Bila “buvungisi” bu Nzambi bulutidi batu mu nduenga ayi lebakana ku Nzambi kulutidi batu mu ngolo.
Because, God’s foolish thing, is, wiser than men, and, God’s weak thing, mightier than men.
26 Zikhomba, lutala bumboti lutelo lueno; batu ba nduenga mu nsuni basia ba ko bawombo; batu banneni ba lulendo basi bawombo ko ayi batu ba luzitusu basi bawombo ko.
For be looking at the calling of you, brethren, —that [there were] not many wise, according to flesh. Not many powerful, not many high-born:
27 Vayi Nzambi wusobula mambu mammonikanga ma buvungisi ma ntoto mu diambu di fuisa batu banduenga tsoni; ayi wusobula mambu ma lebakana ma ntoto mu diambu di fuisa mambu manneni tsoni.
On the contrary—the foolish things of the world, hath God chosen, that he might put to shame them who are wise, and, the weak things of the world, hath God chosen, that he might put to shame the things that are mighty,
28 Nzambi wusobula mambu ma kambulu mfunu, momo ntoto keti lenza; momo makambulu, mu diambu di vunza momo madi.
And, the low-born things of the world, and the things that are despised, hath God chosen, —[and] the things that are not, —that, the things that are, he might bring to nought;
29 Muingi mutu kabika kukiniemisa va meso ma Nzambi;
So that no flesh should boast before God.
30 Bila, mu diambu diandi beno luididi mu Klisto Yesu; mutu wowo Nzambi kakitula mutu wu nduenga, mutu wusonga, wunlongo ayi khudulu,
But, of him, are, ye, in Christ Jesus, who hath been made wisdom unto us, from God, —both righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 mu diambu di kinzika boso busonimina mu Minkanda ti: Enati mutu tidi kukiniemisa
In order that, even as it is written—He that boasteth, in the Lord, let him boast.
