< Timoti 5 >
1 ulekaghe pikun'dalikila umunhu un'goyo, looli um'bulaghe hwene mpafi ghwako. avadiimi ujovaghe navo hwene vanino.
REBUKE not harshly an aged man, but admonish him as a father; the younger men as brethren;
2 nava vahinja, uvavombelaghe muvunofu vwoni hwene valumbulio.
the aged women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
3 uvavulaghe avitiki kuuti, vavatangaghe avakijuuva avafwile avasila lutango.
Honour the widows, that are widows indeed.
4 neke umfwile ghweni juno ali na vaana nambe avisukulu, avuo vamanyilaghe taasi kuvomba sino sinoghile munyumba saave. vavavombelaghe avapafi vaave, ukuo kwekugomosia sino voope vavombilue. kuvomba uluo kwekuno uNguluve ikeela.
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn as their first duty to shew their piety towards their own family, and make a grateful return to their progenitors: for this is becoming and acceptable before God.
5 umukijuuva umfwile juno naali nu muunhu ughwa kuntanga, ujuo ikumuhuvila uNguluve, ikufuunya na kusuuma ulutango kwa Nguluve pakilo na pamwisi.
But she who is a widow indeed, and abandoned to solitude, hopeth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
6 looli umukujuuva umfwile juno ikeela uvunoghekua vwa iisi, ujuo mfue napano ivoneka mwumi.
But she who lives voluptuously is dead, though she liveth.
7 soope isio uvavuule avitiki kuuti valeke kupikua.
And these things inculcate, that they may be blameless.
8 neke umuunhu ghweni juno naikuvatanga avaanhu vaake, kyonga ava munyumba jaake, ujuo iiva alulekiile ulwitiko, iiva m'biivi kukila umupanji.
But if any man provide not for his own relations, and especially for those more immediately of his own family, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
9 umfwile anoghiile kuuva muvutavike vwa vafwile, nave ali na maaka kutengulila ifijigho ntanda, kange na m'bwafu.”
Let no widow be put on the list under sixty years of age, who hath been the wife of one husband,
10 olekwaghe vunofu, ndavule avisaghe asungile avaana vaake vunofu, atengeliile avagheesi na vitiki, avatangile vano vupumusivua, kange avombile imbombo sooni inofu.
bringing attestation of her good works; that she hath well educated her children, that she hath been hospitable to strangers, that she hath washed the saints feet, that she hath assisted the afflicted, that she hath followed diligently every good work.
11 looli avafwile avajeela, nungavupilaghe muvutavike, ulwakuva uvunoghelua vwa m'bili vukuvaghighila kukila kukutavula kwa Kilisite, apuo vilondagha kutolua.
But the younger widows reject: for when they give themselves to wantonness contrary to Christ, they will marry;
12 mu uluo viiva vikwingila muvuhighi, ulwakuva vavulekile ulufingo lwave kwa Kilisite, ulwakujigha kisila kutolua kange.
incurring censure, for having violated their former engagement.
13 palikimo nuluo, vimanyila uvwolo panovighendaghenda munyumba isa vaanhu. nakwekuti vuvwolo vwene, kange viiva vaheehi na kuhanga mumbombo isa vange, nu vuholiholi na kujova sino nasinoghiile.
And at the same time also they learn to be idle, visiting about in the houses; and not merely idle, but talkative and inquisitive, speaking things they ought not.
14 lino, une nikeela avafwile avajeela, vatolwaghe vapapaghe avaana na kulolelela inyumba saave, neke avalugu valeke kukuvajova fivi.
I would therefore have the younger widows to marry, bear children, govern their house, give no occasion to the adversary to bring a reproach on them.
15 ulwakuva avafwile vamonga vasovike, vikum'bingilila uSetano.
For some are already turned aside after Satan.
16 nave umukijuuva umwitiki ali na vafwile munyumba jaake, avatangaghe, kuuti ulukong'haano luleke kukwangilua. neke ulukong'haano luuva nu vweleefu uvwa kuvatanga avafwile avange avasila lutango.
But if any man or woman who believes hath widows their relations, let him provide for them, and let not the church be burdened; that there may be a sufficiency for the real widows.
17 avaloleleli va lukong'haano, vano vivomba imbombo vunofu, voghopwaghe na kuhombua vunofu,” kyongo vano vikuhumia kudalikila na kuvulanisia.
Let the elders who preside properly be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who are laborious in preaching and teaching.
18 ulwakuva lilembilue muMalembe aMimike kuuti, ulekaghe kukujibunga ing'ombe umulono, pano jisyonda ingano paluvugha. kange lilembilue, um'bomba mbombo anoghiile kuhombua uluhombo lwake.”
For the Scripture saith, “Thou shalt not muzzle the ox while he treadeth out the corn.” And again, “The labourer is worthy of his hire.”
19 ulekaghe kukwitika inongua sino sijovua vwimila umuloleleli ghwa lukong'haano, kisila vwolesi vwa vaanhu vavili nambe vatatu.
Against a presbyter receive not an accusation, except it be from two or three witnesses.
20 looli avaloleleli vano vifihoka amakole, uvadalikilaghe pavinga, kuuti avange voghopaghe.
Those who sin rebuke before all, that the rest also may tremble.
21 nikukulaghila pamaso gha Nguluve, na pamaso gha Yeesu Kilisite na vanyamhola avasalulua kuuti, ugadililaghe aghuo, ulekaghe kuhigha ng'hani ng'hani kisila kulutang'hinia nambe kutangila lubale.
I adjure thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.
22 nungamwitikisyaghe ng'haning'hani umuunhu pikumwimika pa mbombo ja Mutwa, ulwakuva ungam'biike umuhosi pa mbombo, najuuve ghuuva uhangile amakole ghaake. uve ghulolelelaghe uvwumi vwako, uvisaghe mugholofu.
Lay hands hastily on no man, nor share another’s sins: keep thyself pure;
23 kuhuma lino, nunganywisaghe amalenga gheene, looli unywisaghe nu luhuuje ludebe vwimila inhamu jaako ija lileme ni nhamu isingi sino sasikukugasia.
confine thyself no longer to water-drinking; but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake, and thy frequent indispositions.
24 nungavitikisyaghe ng'hani ng'hani avanhu pa mbombo ja Mutwa, ulwakuva avanhu avange, amakole ghaave, ghali pavuvalafu, ghikuvalongolela kuvuhighi. neke avange, amakole ghaave ghafisiime, ghivoneka pambele.
Some men’s sins are glaringly manifest, going before to judgment; and after others also they follow to detection.
25 enendiki, imbombo inofu sivoneka pavuvalafu, soope sino sifisiime sihanga sivoneke.
In like manner also the good works of some are previously manifest; and it is not possible that what they have besides should be concealed.
